81 - Laios and co getting into Marcille’s past with FakeDad, do in fact make her a sammich, it does not work and subterfuge is still needed to escape

82 - phone calls on the surface, dungeon is leaking

83 - Kabru and the Canaries see the crack, monsters line up for combat, Marcille gets a new outfit that 1000% does not stop Mithrun from coming for her ass, Mithrun vs Marcille round 2 but he’s been listening and totally tries talking her down one whole time, Canaries tpk’d except Lycion

84 - Laios rescues Lycion, reconnects with Kabru Shuro and Namari, demon shares its goals and sides square up to contain the dungeon, monsters stop to let Laios and co through to see Marcille

85 - Laios and co find Falin in the tower, Marcille drowning in desires but the strongest one is for DRAMA (Chilchuck’s family)

86 - monsters will not listen to Marcille’s stop, sealing the bookhand demon, How do I stop being a dungeon lord?, Laios offers to defeat the demon and resurrects Mithrun on that alone so he signs off on eating Falin

Euron's Master Plan

something i recently realized about euron is that he wasnt always this unhinged. like, we know that he raped aeron and urri when they were kids, and that he has a crew of mutes with ships whose floors are painted red to hide the blood, and has raided all across essos, but the full-blown magically unhinged i-bring-forth-the-doom part of his character we see in affc and the forsaken is, by all indications a more recent shift. specifically it seems to have occurred after euron captured the four qartheen warlocks who were sailing to find daenerys and after he took their shade-of-the-evening, granting him visions that spur his actions in the main plot. so what is euron's grand master plan? lets see what his main actions were so far

Step 1. Hire a faceless man to kill your brother by giving the house of black and white a dragon egg (?)

Step 2. Get elected at the kingsmoot because you bribed everyone with gold and bcz all your competition is way tooo normal for the Iron Islands

Step 3. Capture your priest brother and a bunch of other priests of various faiths and lock them up in the bowels of your ship. This will come in handy later

Step 4. Give your other brother a dragonhorn, some ships, a suspicious mute woman, and a mission to fuck off eastward (to not bother you) and subtly hint to him that he can totally use the dragonhorn for himself and there wont be any negative repercussions ohh nooo

Step 5. Conquer the Shield Islands as a morale boost for your troops and as a launching point for capturing Oldtown. Impregnate Falia Flowers and let your unborn child grow for a few months

Step 6. Lure the redwyne and hightower fleet into the straits between the arbor and the reach, making them think theyve encircled you (parallel to when stannis actually did catch you in the straits in the greyjoy rebellion 10 years ago)

Step 7. Sacrifice the priests and Falia in an orgiastic blood ritual that will awaken krakens from the sea in order to defeat the reach fleet and leave westeros undefended by sea

Step 8. ???

Step 9. Take the iron throne

So it seems like euron's trigger for constructing his master plan was the discovery of the warlocks and him finding out about daenerys. euron wants to remake the world in his image according to the forsaken chapter, and for that he needs great power. so it seems like his plan is to use magic--the armor of valyria, of oldtown, and of dragons--to conquer the iron throne (at least based on aeron's visions in the discarded Forsaken chapter of Winds of Winter)

My spouse has been scouring the manga trying to figure out how Trigger will break up the remaining episodes, and this is their current prediction for how it will go, based on the episodes we've had so far (1-4) Potential manga spoilers under the cut.

(i didn't forget or deliberately shun you i promise, i'm just very very forgetful and tired all the time ♡) and more recently by @solas-backpack-mug for the same thing! i've been thinking of re-editing and possibly continuing Anthem Infinitum, my PoE1 novelization starring Best Girl and the Gods' Favorite Punching Bag Axa Mala, so honestly this prompt couldn't have come at a better time. here's her Greatest Hits:

all of these quotes are from Anthem Infinitum, because my other fics don't feature her as prominently (if at all). i may have goofed up some of the formatting somewhere between copy and paste. [...] indicates excised surrounding narrative text.

Chapter 11: Lacuna

Killian shoots a surprised glance at Swan, utterly clueless about what's racing through her mind at that moment. Before he can decipher it, she shuts her eyes, and her face becomes a canvas drained of color. In a heartbeat, he darts towards her, cradling her in his arms just as she threatens to make a less-than-graceful return to the icy stage. Scooping her gently into his arms, he pulls her close.

"Well, I tend to have this effect on women," quips the dark-blond guy with a mischievous grin.

Killian shoots him a look that could chill a cup of espresso and signals for the dimmer switch on the charm offensive. The girl in the black hat takes a subtle jab at the man, successfully dialing down the wattage on his smile.

"Is she okay?" Concerned, the lass – Lily, or was it? – questions, prompting Killian's sarcasm to make an entrance.

"Does she look like she's okay?" he retorts with a raised eyebrow.

Suppressing the urge to unleash a kraken of irritation on the unwitting duo, Killian reluctantly acknowledges that they aren't to blame for knowing Swan. He really shouldn't harbor resentment towards them. Still, annoyance simmers within him like a pot of overzealous soup, threatening to boil over. As he looks at her, who's blissfully unaware of the turmoil within him, he contemplates the unexpected turn of events.

"Swan," he murmurs gently, but she remains unresponsive. Are her memories resurfacing, threatening to erase the Swan he knows when she opens her eyes? And why does the prospect sting with an unexpected, piercing pain? Killian sighs and turns to the duo, reigning in his irritation for the sake of friendliness. "You two seem to know her," he observes, prompting bewildered glances and a subtle nod from the man.

Chapter 2 (draft III) - there is no dialogue in this chapter and the internal monologue was very straightforward.

Chapter 3 (draft III) - Isolde

He might as well have called me Aldus of Pussy.

Chapter 4 (draft III) - Henry

"Assuming she did not drown or get swallowed whole by a shark..."

Chapter 5 (draft III) - Alan

"Welp, there goes peace in the region…”

Chapter 6 (draft III) - Isolde

This will only stop when Henry has me pinned - oh no. I can’t keep the grin from my face...

Chapter 6... this was a long chapter so it gets two (draft III) - Uthman

“It’s amazing, truly, how agreeable a person becomes when faced with a knife to the throat.”

“Good fellow, find a pond and look at yourself. If you wished to bed a princess all you’d have to do is ask.”

In the spirit of combining, I'm picking some of my favorite snippets so far from the first 7 chapters of the second book in my secondary series. 🙃 Hopefully I'll remember to redact the spoilers this time around.

Chapter 1

The earth trembles when his knees hit the dirt.

Or maybe that's just me. Because I don't realize I'm shaking until Micah softly holds my shaking hand. He's warm at my side, constant.

My makeshift weapon slips from my grasp as I take my own place in my hands and knees before the new mass grave. Micah falls with me, cradling my head against his chest. I don't cry. These deaths aren't mine to mourn.

Chapter 2

All the tension that has been rotting in my stomach and lungs settles. Sure, everything sucks. The whole world is on fire right now for me and the people I care about, but my own fire is starting to burn out. I can stop burning when I have my sister in my arms. Two figures materialize. And the rot stirs back up.

Chapter 3

You die, too,” I tell her but also myself. “You die with the people you love and someone new keeps living your life. Survivors die a thousand deaths. We just keep coming back to life, too.” “And if we don’t?” That’s the question, isn’t it?” Is it the sleeping medication in your nightstand drawer or the knives sewn into your pillowcase or does your body give out before your mind does? “Then someone dies with you.” She breathes out a laugh, wiping her nose with the blanket. “That’s a happy thought, isn’t it?” “I don’t know. I don’t think I want to die alone.”

Chapter 4

How do you tell someone I’m sorry we ended up like this without sounding like it’s over? Even if it is over. Even if this nothingness, this festering mile of mistakes is both the beginning and the end. Even if nothing was created yet everything was destroyed.

Chapter 5

If working in a bar has taught me nothing else, it’s when to recognize a swindler. Who will try not to pay their tab, who will pick pockets while they chat, who will spike drinks while someone’s not looking. I know Edward can take care of himself. But creeps are persistent.

Chapter 6

Another unfinished story. I am full of unfinished stories. Who was the girl before me and who is the one who truly killed her? ...

Does the girl who broke the glass deserve to get a happy ending?

Chapter 7

“But no. My friend, you bring all three of your comrades straight to me.” “What did you do?” Imre slinks onto the floor as well, reaching out with one hand to tip my chin up. “Nothing to you, dearest. Nothing to you.”
