is there a reason you usually answer asks with a . and talk in the tags? i got confused when i first saw that bc usually when people do that its a 'presented without commentary' thing but you do have commentary haha it feels like you're answering just in whispers like a ghost
.

It shouldn’t be this heartbreaking to be a Jew online.
(in case anyone misses this point, which I think is very important: it takes more than reblogging a “Happy Passover” post to be an actual ally to Jews online. Education is vital)

listen idk how many people can relate to this but i can't stop thinking abt. f/os that are touchy without even realizing it.
like !!! they always have an arm slung around your shoulder , or a hand placed on your back , or sometimes their fingers will barely graze over you because your presence is just so magnetizing to them. whenever you sit next to them there's a slow shift as they lean into you, gradually, maybe snaking a hand over yours or settling their head against your arm ...
... but then the moment anyone calls attention to it they're confused. maybe they'll be hanging out with a colleague or you'll just bring it up in random conversation , but when someone points it out they have to pause and self-reflect. me ? touchy ?? what are you talking about. when did this happen. (as if they haven't been non-stop holding your hand for the past 30 minutes)

not some of y'all on here fucking downplaying the gaza hospital bombing....... it's so fucked up that propaganda is so insidious that y'all can't even see the truth for what it is! you're telling me hundreds of ppl were literally blown apart... dismembered, mutilated, charred beyond recognition... and it was a "misfired hamas rocket"? i'm sorry but have you SEEN the videos coming from on the ground in gaza?? have you SEEN what's left of these ppl??? the amount of times the israeli govt has changed its narrative on who fired that missile and the fact that the US is unequivocally supporting them is ENOUGH proof tbfh! if anything history has taught us abt america & israel's past, it is this.

Today is International Asexuality Day, a day devoted to raise asexual awareness, so it seemed like a good time to make you all aware of this asexual.
This is a label I’ve used privately and happily for quite some time, but I thought it was time to share this part of my self with the rest of the world, and I especially wanted to come out here on tumblr because I wanted to thank everyone who’s ever posted about asexuality in any form for helping me figure out this huge part of myself.
I didn’t know asexuality existed for most of my life. When I first heard about it, it was explained as meaning someone who has never had sex. Since I had sex before, I figured that didn’t apply to me and moved on. I’d also heard for so long that women don’t hit their sexual peak until their 30’s, so thought for most of my life that my interest in sex would come later, and eventually I’d understand why people are so into this sex stuff. But 30 came and went, and nothing changed, except that I was still on tumblr and I’d see posts describing the range of asexual identities and people discussing their personal experiences, and when I realized that this identity actually did fit me, that I did belong to it, I felt such a sense of relief. I’ve felt more like myself since I embraced it. I’m happier, more comfortable, less stressed all the time. A few months ago I told my partner and that went incredibly well. We’re communicating more and figuring out how this works for us, and our relationship is stronger and better than it’s ever been and I love him so much for that. It’s a journey I’m still going on, but it’s been a really great one so far.
In conclusion, I’m happy and proud to be Ace. Thanks to everyone who helped me get here and I hope your own journeys are going well. Asexually yours, Diana.

Okay, inspired by that post about how USAmericans take swearing much more seriously than other countries, here's a poll: (I'd love to add more nuance to this, but 12 options is the max, so I can't include as much detail as I'd like.)
If you're non-USAmerican, please feel free to leave your country of residence/origin in the tags, along with your answer!!! I'd love to see if there's a correlation between certain countries aside from the U.S., but I was limited by 12 options.
(*Also, as for what counts as "casual swearing", that would be swearing that happens in any conversation or context aside from a strong negative. So swearing when you're in pain doesn't count, and neither does cussing someone out or shit-talking someone when you're angry.)
(for the purposes of this poll, casual swearing aimed at a person would be any non-malicious swearing directed at a person, where they are aware that it's non-malicious. Something like a lighthearted, joking with friends. For example, your friend tells you something shocking and you say "fuck off, you're kidding me". Or even something like "you devious motherfucker, I love it!")
(for the "certain swear words" option, as an example, you might be okay with hell/shit/damn, but not things like bitch or fuck.)
And as always, please reblog for sample size!

for as long as I can remember "glass is a liquid" hay been my go to example of a "common misconception". and like, knowing what common misconception means you'd think that it wouldn't be too surprising to see examples in the wild of people believing it and yet

Wanderer: Everyone knows you're way more likely to survive in this world the more unique features and colouring you have, and the more gaudily and elaborately and revealingly you're dressed. In other words, the more you hurt people's eyes to look at, the more likely it is you'll live to see another day. Albedo: That's why Kaeya is borderline immortal.
