FEH Hríd x Reader Hurt and Comfort Headcanons (Married)

“You and Hríd just got married and you both are enjoying your time together. Sometimes, you become overwhelmed by some memories of the past, but Hríd is right there to help you.”

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- If you are awake in the middle of the night having a flashback, it’s OK if you wake Hríd up to talk about it because he wants to be there for you more than anything. Even if he’s tired and confused, he will give his full attention to you.

- If you tell a lot of painful things to Hríd, he will need to step away for a little while to process it, but he will still come back and listen to the rest because he wants to know the most intimate and sensitive things about you, even if they are difficult to hear.

- Hríd does not like to show you his anger because he thinks it’s the ugliest side of himself, but when you’re not around, he can become very frustrated and enraged at the people who hurt you. He is always thinking of how he can protect you.

- If you had a rough night, the next day, Hríd will go out of his way to do something nice for you like bring you gifts, take you somewhere special, or cook for you.

- If in the past someone touched you in a bad way or without your consent and you don’t want Hríd to touch you, he will respect that and give you your space no problem! He is very giving and selfless, especially for his one and only.

- If being intimate is something you can’t do for any reason, Hríd will respect that and ask you directly in what other ways he can give you affection. He didn’t marry you because it would be easy; he married you because he loves you unconditionally.

- If Hríd is having a bad night and he is not in the right headspace to comfort you or be with you, he will not know how to communicate this very well, but if you are patient and understanding with him, he will tell you everything you want to know when he’s feeling better.

- If for some reason something randomly sets you off and you explode into a complete panic attack/meltdown, Hríd will be terrified and do anything he can to calm you down. If you feel really bad afterwards, Hríd will very seriously tell you you have nothing to be ashamed of and it wasn’t your fault. He still loves you and promises to stay with you.

- Hríd does his best to take care of you, but it does take a lot of energy, so he will appreciate it very much when you thank him for being patient and taking care of you. He will smile from ear to ear and tell you you don’t even have to thank him, but he still feels really good and happy when you buy him things like food and treats as a token of gratitude.

- When you’re finally able to get a good night’s sleep without any nightmares or any overwhelming flashbacks, Hríd will be very happy and proud of how far you have come together. To him, this is the most important and valuable part of your relationship. He loves taking care of you the most!
