Old Rip Van Winkle 10
Review by: Raygun Wasn’t planning to review this, but was out at a restaurant for dinner and saw it on the menu. Had to ask the price, and when it turned out to be fairly reasonable, I decided I had to get a pour. The baby of the Van Winkle line at 10 years. Couldn’t tell what year it was from, but from the fill level it had been open for a while, so maybe 2021 or 2022. Reviewed from a bar pour.…

At it again with the really stupid comics
[id: a sketchy four panel comic of Rama from guild wars 2 and Bourbon, a human male character.
1 - They are sitting side by side and drinking straight from the bottle. Bourbon, face in his hand, says "I miss Glaz.... my rifle..." Rama, looking off into the distance says "yeah, uh... I... miss Glaz too."
2 - Rama, holding up a bottle with a cartoonish dancing woman on it, says in a sing-song falsetto voice "It's okay Bourbon! I was reincarnated into a real girl!"
3 - Bourbon looks shocked, speechless as he lifts his head and stares hollowly at Rama.
4 - Then he grins woozily and blushes, saying "Do you remember how we used to shoot people?" Rama lowers the bottle, looking annoyed, and says "dude come on." End id.]

We’re going back to an old favorite on today’s episode of A Tasting at The Murder Table. Times flies when you’re having fun! Before we get to the review, here’s a bit of info about Knob Creek taken directly from their website: When…

fall haul!!! here are my first impressions/reviews:
Sunrise Woods- this one is so cozy! i loved it in the cream and mist so i had to try it out in the shower gel. it’s a perfect blend of woodsy and cozy 🍂 i got a cream as well as a backup for my current one
Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin- a fall classic! this was my original favorite for bath and body scents so i always need to be stocked on the mist. if you don’t know this one is super spicy with clove and sweet pumpkin notes. it’s amazing and the shower gel is my fav in the fall 🎃🧡 the cream is also good, but doesn’t smell quite as strong
Pumpkin Pecan Waffles- syrupy and sweet and STRONG! if you don’t know this scent, it is potentttt. the mist and cream can be a little overwhelming for me, but the shower gel is always perfect 🧇
Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte- another fall classic, very cozy and soft. ☕️
Leaves- this one is new this year and i got in the mist and cream first. it’s super spicy and is a very strong scent with some apple in it as well. it’s perfect for fall and strikes me as a late fall scent! 🍁🍃
Cozy Vanilla Bourbon- another new scent this year. its very very similar to fireside flurries, so if you like that you’ll like this! i love it in the shower gel and mist. it’s so warm and cozy! 🥃
Coffee & Whiskey- i’ve loved this in the cream and cologne since last fall. i’m super glad to have the shower gel to match now. something about this just really works for me in the fall. it’s true to its name so if you’re looking for a coffee scent i would recommend this! ☕️🥃
Pumpkin Cupcake- i love this scent. it’s sweet and has a slight hint of pumpkin spice. i can’t wait to try it out in my car 🧁

In-Depth Travel Review| New Orleans (Nola)| Episode7|BlackWomanVibes
#Nola #NewOrleans #Travelvlog In-Depth Travel Review| New Orleans (Nola) Review| Episode7|BlackWomanVibes The footage from this 7-episode series is from my New Orleans (Nola) travel vacation from Nov 23 2023 to Nov 28 2023. The commentary and opinions from these videos are my own.
Episode seven is the bitter sweet end. Watch me chase down a few last minute Nola items JUST to find out nothing in Nola is typical so OF COURSE the tourist attraction stores are closed on a Tuesday like a DAMN HAIR SALON‼️ Needless to say, ordering online is my next go to. Definitely get you some Leah’s pecan brittle‼️😍 While you’re at it get you some decadent hot sauce from Pepper Palace. 🤤 If you’re a HOT 🥵 Girl like me with even HOTTER taste buds, you will not be disappointed. 🌶️ Outside of me comparing and contrasting Black metrics between Boston and New Orleans, I really am at that big grown age where I DO NOT want to tolerate shit I cannot change, *especially in 2024.* I also wanna live in my Black Anarchist Communal Libratory politics. This includes my housing security AND my “rootedness” which is more or less the same. I want to be anchored in a community where I feel seen and can be my most authentic self and that’s not CRACKASS *CLASSIST* BOSTON. LAWD lolol‼️ Thank you for making it to the end of this series‼️ I appreciate your viewership. Like this video and the entire 7-video series, share these videos on your socials and subscribe. Leave a comment of support in the comment section.
P.S. Please check out all these artists whose songs are featured in these episodes. They are deadass the soundtrack to my life!

Like De Gaulle, Louis XIV is the rare individual who put his personal stamp on his country:
Some individuals, the Longue Duree/Annales view aside, really do have the personality and the determination to put their stamps on a historical era and a moment in time. Such was the Sun King, Louis XIV, the embodiment outside Russia of the idea of autocracy in all its forms. He had one of Europe's longest reigns, started the global French Empire, and waged wars on the entirety of Europe giving much better than he got. In the process the third Bourbon King brought the Ancien Regime to its height and the form that would be overthrown in 1789 in the explosive transformation that continues to ripple its way across the world.
As with his grandson there is a parallel, interestingly, between Louis XIV and XVI and Nicholas I and Nicholas II. In both cases the grandfathers' reigns were marked by dramatic confrontations with power that seem far less impressive than what the grandsons faced but blazed new paths. Their reigns brought an old era to an apex that it would never enjoy again and crashed and burned in the end from an excess of military parade fever. And in the end identically named grandfathers and grandsons' legacies would be marked by dramatic revolutions that rewrote the maps of first their parts of Europe and then the world.
Louis XIV set his stamp on his era by redefining kingship with the monumental construction of Versailles, and by triggering some of the first world wars in human history, as the clashes between European colonialists abroad were part and parcel of the clashes between European states in Europe. His reign marked the final shift of France from the balkanized feuding nobles of the petty and the grand scale of the Capetian era to the centralized super-state that has prevailed in both monarchical and Republican forms since.
In this, as with James K. Polk's legacy in North America one is free to ask the question of how much the truly successful political figures cost the societies they lead, and what the measure of success and victory can actually be.
8/10.

Despite the fact that I absolutely seem like the kind of guy that would use cologne, I literally never did before about two weeks ago. I don't really know enough for proper reviews, but I am mutuals with a lot of cars/guns/coffee/beard guys that would probably really dig this one.
The whole line by Cremo has some great, simple scents that are super cheap at about $20 for a large 3.4oz bottle. The Bourbon and Oak is extremely warm and comfortable and just smells damn good; probably even better as a fall/winter scent.
I've only tried about five colognes so far, but this is the easiest to recommend here. Would be excellent for someone that's not a "cologne guy" but just wants to smell really good for a date night or something.
But be careful it could be a gateway into a collection.

"It would take a miracle to get you out of Casablanca, and the Germans have outlawed miracles."
I liked the part with the bore-bon.
Casablanca is a movie I'd avoided seeing for a long time for no particular reason, and now that I have, I can see why it's considered such a classic.
An interesting plot, a great cast of characters, and a solid script, full of snappy, memorable lines. Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman gave excellent lead performances, with plenty of believable chemistry between them. I really enjoyed the direction their stories, and the ending in general, went.
Everything looked great, especially in the latter half with lighting that gave a rich noir mood to things. I enjoyed the musical numbers too, and Dooley Wilson's singing was nice. I thought the sing-off between the French and Germans was a little silly, but it didn't detract too much.
Well made and understandably admired. A great movie.
