Prompt 102
Bruce pinched the bridge of his nose, taking a deep breath. In for ten seconds, out for eight. Alright. Okay. “Let me get this straight,” he didn’t motion to the three teens- or not teens even if two apparently looked like they were- but it was a close thing. “You-”
Phantom perked up, white hair flickering with what he was pretty sure were stars as they turned away from the window looking out into space. “-are two years old.” The fae-esque being who looked more like a fourteen year old gave a half-distracted nod. Which, for a toddler, they were paying attention pretty well.
“You-” Klarion looked up from where he was fiddling with the cuffs that had been on him, cat sprawled on his shoulder now that it was out of the carrier. “-are six?” Another distracted nod, the apparently-child seemingly enamored with the sounds the cuffs made when they clinked together.
“And you-” He turned towards Marvel, who shrank back before seemingly steeling themself. “-are in fact ten.” The… well they had thought demigod but apparently all three were some sort of realms-being, which had apparently made Constantine pale and start cursing before stomping out of the Watchtower. Another nod and shaky thumbs up.
Alright. Okay. They had in fact let a ten-year old join the league, which wouldn’t have been so bad if they had known. Especially the fact that apparently Marvel was only half-human, which suddenly explained so much about how he didn’t know so many things about a human life. Which-
“You,” he turned towards Phantom again to make sure he was listening before returning his attention to Marvel. “And you have both lived at least a year in the human realm with human companions, but your-” He turned his gaze towards the ravenette in the center. The six year old apparently. “-experience with the human realm is literally just with the Light.”
Yet another distracted nod. Okay. Bruce was tempted to scream in a room for the entire situation that had cropped up from the single action of taking Klarion’s familiar and then the boy himself into custody. Then again, it was honestly a much better thing they had apparently caught this.
“Alright,” he sighed, suddenly feeling incredibly exhausted. “To make sure I have all of this correct-” Because it was already a shitshow and the amount of shouting had absolutely spooked the child. To the point he’d- according to Marvel- made what was apparently some sort of very distressed noise that had made both him and Phantom running. Or rather flying and portaling.
“-in the realms, people there make friends through fighting,” Bruce pauses to make sure he got that part correct. The origin of this entire misunderstanding with the chaos-lord. Lordling?
All three nodded, Klarion losing interest in the cuffs and starting to pet his cat. Familiar. Everyone had referred to it as a familiar and Marvel had appeared utterly horrified that they had taken said familiar away. Somehow he was the one the trio were currently trusting and weren’t doing the same towards any of the other league members.
“And you have been trying to make friends with the Jr team, which they have been taking as an attack due to this miscommunication.” Honestly they should have gotten more information, though he couldn’t exactly blame any of the teens, what with everything they were currently dealing with.
“... is there any sort of guardian or something you might have, that can be contacted? Or anyone that could help prevent a situation like this from happening again?” All three avoided his eyes, suddenly finding things like the table and walls very interesting.
Oh. Hm. This could be a problem.

Man, I want shapeshifter cap SO BAD.
I want to see a Billy that really leans into the wonder of the world, the million paths a child could take in their life.
I want to see a Billy that wants to try everything, at least once.
A Billy that looks at all the people who spit at him, deride him, pity him, dismiss him, ignore him, because he has no future, no prospects, a child in the gutter and say no. I'm going to grow up to be whoever I want to be.
And a captain marvel that says you're going to be amazing.
Billy taking the premise of captain marvels form - his ideal self, a blank slate for Billy to paint his bright colours, the person he wants to be deep inside - and dialling that freedom up to eleven.
A dancer, a dinosaur, a train conductor, a tiger, an ice cream maker, a butterfly, an astronaut, a shark, a college student, a Tamaranean, a mouse, a scuba diver, an elephant, a doctor, a moose, a race car driver, a dog.
A child wanting to see the world.
If you want to find captain marvel, well first you've got to try his comm, probably a couple times.
Then you've got to go to fawcett, hope he's there and not saving the yetis from a salamander invasion in a different dimension.
You've got to ask around, because it often goes by word of mouth here, no matter what technology you bring. Don't worry, it'll spread very quickly, but if you're in a hurry you can find his commemorative statue and leave an offering. No one knows if it really works, but it's a good way to pass the time and feel productive.
Soon, a face will peel out of the crowd. It's always familiar, but it's never the same one.
Wait for the flash of lightning in a cloudless sky.
And then you will find captain marvel.

I finally finished the next picture for the wheel spin
Part 2: Five Nights at Freddy's
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Billy Batson and Captain Marvel the Super Tiger
There are two because I want this to be interpreted however you please. Option one is that they are two different identities and have a Gregory and Glamrock Freddy relationship. Option two is if Billy was murdered and possesses the animatronic like in the original games.
Ignore how the first one looks so much worse, I can't do cartoon styles. Sorry about that

actually i'm just going to make this a new post:
fanon Billy Batson is based largely on Superman/Shazam: First Thunder, which is a mini series from 2006; I'm honestly not sure if it was originally intended to be part of mainstream continuity but storywise it's a standalone and in terms of characterisation it doesn't really fit with the other post-crisis Captain Marvel content that I've read.
pre-nu52 canon Billy:
is typically older than depicted in fanfiction; his age fluctuates and is often ambiguous but a common take going back to the 40s is that he's around 12-14 years old. he's usually a young teenager rather than a pre-teen.
generally has living on the streets following the loss of his parents as part of his backstory, but has since used his ability to transform into an adult to earn money, re-enroll himself in school, and rent an apartment. he is in an extremely non-ideal situation but he's not roofless & starving.
has an extensive supporting cast including a number of adults who are helping him out (variously: the Wizard Shazam, who in some continuities is alive and acting as a mentor; Uncle Marvel/Uncle Dudley who plays different roles in his life depending on the continuity; Mr & Mrs Bromfield, his sister Mary's adoptive parents who being reasonable people respond to learning that their adopted daughter has a twin brother with 'oh I guess we have 2 kids now'; and of, course, Tawky Tawny the Talking Tiger).
the idea of Billy being alone & desperate and needing Favourite DC Character of Choice to help him out is extremely appealing (i'm into it ngl) so by all means read & write it as much as you want, but do be aware that it's not very well supported by canon. it's not a scenario that tends to play out in the comics bcos Billy is pretty self-sufficient both in terms of storytelling and in-universe ability to take care of himself.

I imagine that Billy can sleep anywhere without problems because he has been homeless for so long he just naturally gained the skill. He has slept under bridges, on the ground, under desks, on chairs, and in the park.
He even slept in the zoo with Tawky Tawny which was the most comfortable sleep he's gotten (all curled up tigers!) but was dangerous because he was almost found by the zookeepers!
Captain Marvel doesn't need sleep but imagine Cap doing the same after a big fight, he just puts his head on a small desk in a uncomfortable angle and passes out. Everyone around doesn't know if they should wake him up to tell him about the staff rooms or just leave him there to get some sleep.

I really a headcanon that, because of Mr. Tawky tawny, billy is able to speak with any and all felines
Whether this is because billy has a feline familiar or because he spends so much time around a magical feline is honestly up to you
But I love the Idea of damian getting jealous because billy can hold a conversation with Alfred the cat and damian can't
I also love the though of billy having to play telephone with any other animal, he asks the street cat something, the cat asks the rats and then the cat relays the information to billy
This is such a cute headcanon 💜💜💜
Billy be out here acting like a literal Disney princess with his animal companions. He's friends with all the animals (alley cats, rats, squirrels from the park) and gets mad at people who are mean to them.
There are plenty of magically hand wavy reasons for why Billy could talk to cats (or certain animals in general) but I think it'd be funny if it's an extension of his omnilingual abilities but like, for some reason, cat dialects stick in his human brain better than other languages.
And I love jealous Damian just seething that not only is Billy friends with a talking tiger but he also holds private conversations with Damian's pets. I can imagine Billy teasing him a bit by exaggerating his responses to whatever Alfred the Cat is saying just to see Damian get huffy.
Thanks for the ask!

SHAZAM SHAZAM SHAZAM pls tell us about billy batson. ive only ever seen the movies o great comic knower
Very very very VERY far from comic expert (that's brawltogethernow) but I have read a lot of Shazam. His history is actually really, really fascinating and involves more than one lawsuit that really defined very early comics. I'll focus on one thing, though.
There are two Captain Marvels: One from the 1940s to around 2013, and one from 2013 til now. The Captain Marvel you're familiar with (who is named Shazam) is from 2013. He's a more realistic, grounded character. He was created to be pretty much the polar opposite of his original version. The best summary is to say that the Wizard chose Billy Batman 1940 because he had the purest heart, and the Wizard chose Billy Batson ~2013 because he was there. My personal 'best' Shazam story is the "Shazam: The Monster Society of Evil" graphic novel by the guy who made Bone. It's good because it's for elementary schoolers yet acknowledges this small child as homeless. Which, don't get me wrong, you shouldn't always do. My personal favorite is the 1970s ones.
As some background: Otto Binder was the creator/main writer of the very early Captain Marvel comics. He was by far and away the best writer of the early Superman Silver Age comics, because all of his comics were batshit insane. Shazam has a complicated and legal history with Superman, so the 1970 run was a super fun high camp tongue in cheek reinvention of the best Silver Age stories.
So the 1970 Captain Marvel comics are insane.
I can't even summarize them without sounding crazy. Basically the conceit is that Captain Marvel, Captain Marvel Jr, and Mary Marvel (Billy, Freddy, and Mary) are having 1940s Golden Age Adventures when they get somehow in suspended animation and are basically time travelled to the 1970s. This don't bother them too much. Why would it bother them. Nothing bothers these people. Nothing. I don't think anybody experiences a negative emotion in these comics. Not bc they were twee. Bc they were insane.
Many of the comics basically had three shorter comics inside it: one Billy story, one Mary story, one Freddy story. Interestingly, they all had different art styles, artists, types of story, genre, etc. Billy's stories had a cartoony art style with very over-the-top and silly plotlines that involved supervillain bad dudes. Freddy's art was slightly more realistic and was slighty more grounded, but still had some classic Marvel indescribable scifi that can best be summarized as that one meme panel people have seen where Sivana recites a science equation that lets him walk through walls. Mary's stories were much more realistically drawn and featured the most banal shit, like her starting a club with her friends. Somehow Mary Marvel gets involved in those.
Sometimes they worked together and did superhero things and fought bad guys. The average fight looked like this:
Tumblr media
Billy was a twelve year old who lived by himself, in his own apartment, had his own radio show, a full-ass job, a whole thing as Captain Marvel. He paid fucking taxes. Everybody knew this and nobody cared. He's the most affable, good natured kid on the face of the planet. Nothing bothers him. Nothing. Nothing bothers any of these people. Sivana shows up and he's BIG MAD so he's creating another death ray and Captain Marvel shows up like "Oh you rascal! Time to punch this and go back to helping my friend eat his infinite Jello."
He has a friend named Talky Tawny, who is a talking tiger wearing a suit. He also has a friend named Sunny Smiles, a person of indeterminate gender who everybody falls in love with, for unexplained and unknown reasons. Not to be confused with Freddy's friend Gregory Gosharootie, the "World's Dullest Mortal", who is so boring that nobody notices him and he keeps accidentally comitting crime. There is also an old guy named Uncle Marvel who pretends he has superpowers, which they all find funny so they just roll with it. Freddy is a disabled orphan who has to sell papers on the street corner to make a living. Mary lives in a middle class suburban home with loving foster parents. It never once seems to occur to Mary's parents to adopt Billy, for Freddy to live with Billy. Everybody is happiest this way.
I do think this is partly why a good Shazam comic has to be aimed at the 6-12yo demographics. They have to be for small children, because Billy is living a complete and utter power fantasy that only a ten year old would think is a good idea. He's a kid, and he doesn't have drag parents or a lame family, but he can turn into Superman, and he can also do magic, and everybody loves him and thinks he's the nicest person, and his supervillains are Dr. Doofenschmirtz and a worm, and his supporting cast is like okay my sister if she HAS to be involved, but also my best friend who is a paperboy! but cool because he's disabled, and….
Look, you could engage with that seriously. You could go "holy shit this is a homeless child". That's fine. That's what they do these days, and that's what they did in the movies. Nothing wrong with that. Take the story more seriously.
But also they don't give a worm the electric chair in those stories, so.
To actually give some commentary on these comics: these comics really love people. I've never seen comics that were so entrenched in their community. The kids just know everybody they meet on the street. Freddy delivers paper up and down every block, so an average story for him is just talking to a butcher or baker or old man or grumpy housewife and helping them out with some batshit problem. Mary's a sweet girl who's always starting clubs with her friends and taking on neighborhood projects. Many Billy stories involve one of his many friends falling into some trouble and Captain Marvel helping them out - or just exploring some fun with Billy hanging out with Sunny Smiles, who is a person of indeterminate gender who for some reason has magic love brainwashing powers -
This isn't the biggest #Shazam take, but I think a good Shazam story stays grounded in that. These are poor street kids who love Fawcett City so damn much. They love fighting their supervillains, but they love helping out the random guy off the street with their problems even more. Way more so than Spider-Man or a lot of other guys, I think of the Marvel family as the friendly neighborhood superheroes. They're both larger than life and street level. They're Superman level powers but they just use the powers for wrapping up their hijinks. Isn't that nice? Aren't you tired of going apeshit? Don't you just want to be nice?

Introduction to the Rock of Eternity~✨
This was my first time trying to make a drawing with a full background, a character, and shading and it took soOoOo long 😭 lmfao.
Anyways, this is my finished concept art for the train car that Billy gets off of once he’s magically transported to the Rock of Eternity. This version of the Rock of Eternity is a series of floating island that is in the middle of The Magic Realm.
This version of the Rock of Eternity is filled to the brim with jungle and rainforest nature and animals. That is how Tawny comes into the story. Tawny is a magical tiger who is the Wizard’s right-hand pet. They have a magical gemstone embedded in their head that grants them the power of telepathy, allowing them to communicate with others around them. They are not humanoid. They walk on four legs like a tiger and aren’t really fond of wearing human clothes.
I still have to draw the throne room for the champions, that’s where I want The Wizard and Tawny to spend most of their time. Working together as they divide up their time between recording/collecting ancient magic artifacts, resolving magic-related issues, and overall just trying to keep The Magic Realm safe. The Rock of Eternity is a protected hub of information and resources for anyone who is interested in learning about magic.
[ WRITING CONTINUES BELOW ⬇️ ✍️📝 ]
⚠️ Content warning: mentions of slavery in ancient Egypt, mentions of tyranny, clear portrayals of villainous intent, moral corruption etc.
It is a tireless job, that always has a constant flow of work to be completed. This also explains why The Wizard is looking for a champion of magic. He is looking for a pupil to train. Someone who will assist him protecting/saving the other realm. The Wizard sees The Mortal Realm as a mess that is in desperate need of assistance.
The Wizard decides to launch a project where he will expand his influence to The Mortal Realm in an attempt to solve all the problems he sees that plague the mortals of Earth. This project starts roughly about 5,000 years ago, when The Wizard believes he has found a worthy champion, Teth-Adam.
Teth-Adam proves to be a very powerful champion, who actively trains his newfound powers to help harness them to their full potential. He also becomes very involved in his studies of magic. Spending his early adulthood growing alongside The Wizard and Tawny as they eventually form a family-like connection. This joyful aspect of Adam’s life is in sharp contrast to his life in The Mortal Realm. Where he is a slave in ancient Egypt, being forced to help with the construction of the pyramids.
Eventually, Adam starts to corrupt. He returns to The Mortal Realm and begins to use his powers as a tyrant. He successfully frees the people of Egypt from their current enslavement however, instead of letting them roam free and begin to build their own lives, Adam has a different plan in mind. With his arrogance and ego afoot, he decides that he is the one true ruler of Egypt, and seizes complete control of the country.
Adam believes that he is the best possible person to rule over Egypt. He sees himself as a strong, competent leader. A pillar of strength who wants to optimize Egypt to it’s fullest potential. As his overt political power starts to corrupt him, Adam starts to micromanage the Egyptian people, turning the country into a complete and total dictatorship.
The Wizard sees this corruption that Adam is forcing over the people in Egypt and tries to talk some sense into him. Telling Adam that he did a good thing by freeing the people of Egypt however, in seizing complete control over the country he himself has become the one of tyrants he swore to destroy. Adam isn’t hearing any of it, he believes he is different from any previous leaders of Egypt because he has the country’s best interests at heart. Everything he has done in his rule has only improved the country, so he was clearly destined to be Egypt’s one true leader.
The Wizard then realizes that there is no getting through to Adam. They have a dramatic confrontation. The Wizard with a heavy heart, realizes that Adam has grown to be a very powerful advisory and is willing to fight for his rule over Egypt.
The Wizard eventually wins the battle however, doesn’t have the heart to kill Adam because they formed a very strong father/son relationship over the years as The Wizard was training Adam as his champion. As a last resort The Wizard decides to banish Adam to the furthest star in the galaxy. The Wizard reverses Adam’s influence over Egypt. He helps them to establish a proper democracy before returning to The Magic Realm to grieve over what he had to do to Adam, someone he saw as his own son.
The Wizard and Tawny mourn for many moons, causing the Wizard to put an indefinite pause on his project, leaving The Mortal Realm with no champion for the time being.
Fast forward about 5,000 years, The Wizard realizes in his old age, that he is growing weaker and weaker as the centuries pass. He ponders the idea of trying to find another Champion of Magic. Tawny tries to talk him out of it, reminding him of how poorly that went last time and saying there is no reason to want to do that again. The Wizard eventually changes Tawny’s mind once he reminds his fuzzy friend that once the Wizard is dead and gone, that Tawny will be unable to keep up with the responsibilities of the Rock of Eternity all by themselves.
The Wizard doesn’t really want to find a new champion, but he deems it necessary because he wants to make sure there is always enough people/resources to keep the balance of magic. He wants to personally train a mortal to eventually one day take over his duties, guiding them closely to make sure they are on the correct path. Hoping that now that he and Tawny are both wiser and older that they can find one pure, good soul to build into the perfect hero, and avoid repeating their old mistakes.
The Wizard and Tawny search for hundreds of years in an attempt to try and find a new Champion of Magic, but no one they bring to the Rock of Eternity seems to have a completely pure and good soul.
After years and years of tirelessly searching, they eventually stumble upon Billy Batson. Unfortunately Billy, like everyone who came before him, has imperfections and moments of human weakness that lead The Wizard and Tawny to initially discard him as a possible champion.
Then Billy questions their judgment, questioning them if there is such a thing as a “completely pure good person”, explaining that everyone has their flaws no matter how “good” they are. Suggesting that The Wizard and Tawny have been searching for so long because they’re looking for peoples flaws instead of their strengths.
This convinces The Wizard to change the conditions of his search. Deciding to comb over Billy’s mind again, but this time looking for the good within him instead of his flaws. The Wizard begins to see that Billy has a lot of moments that show him being a good kid and genuinely trying to help people, showing that Billy genuinely has a good heart.
The Wizard and Tawny mull over this decision and bicker amongst each other. They eventually decide that the Wizard has already burned thousands of years on this search so far, and they don’t know how much longer he has left to live as it is. Better to choose this kid who obviously has a good heart, and help mold him into a hero than to wait around for another thousand years, possibly having The Wizard die before he ever found a replacement.
And then, The Wizard decides to bestow the powers of Shazam to Billy Batson, making him the next Champion of Magic.
Very shortly after this decision is made, Adam returns to Earth. He has spent the last five thousand years traveling across the galaxy in an attempt to eventually make it back to Earth. He is very hurt by the Wizard’s decision to banish him to the furthest star in the galaxy and seeks to make amends.
However, when Adam finds out that The Wizard has chosen a new champion this sends him into a complete and utter rage. He sees this as The Wizard trying to replace him, both as a champion and as a son.
It’s a total slap in the face to Adam since he just spent the last 5,000 years traversing the cosmos to see The Wizard again. Adam sees it as a complete dismissal of the deep and meaningful familial connection they once shared to replace him with his new champion, Billy.
Adam knows that Billy is on the same path that he once was, being trained by The Wizard and Tawny to become the new Champion of Magic, and that they eventually plan to have him manage/protect The Rock of Eternity.
Adam resents the idea that he could ever be replaced and seeks to seize control over The Rock of Eternity. He plans to kill both The Wizard and his new champion to prove his superiority and “show them” that he was always destined to be the one true champion of magic.
His villainous behavior is not only motivated by his desire to have control, but also by his deep internal hurt of being replaced by Billy. Adam sees the terms “champion” and “son” as interchangeable. To him they mean the same thing, and Adam will stop at nothing to prove himself because deep down he wants The Wizard’s approval.
The Wizard and Tawny were the closest thing Adam ever had to a real family and after spending thousands of years trying to get back to them, he returns only to find he’s been replaced, and that is a pain he’s never felt before.
Adam doesn’t know how to cope with the feelings that erupt within him besides crushing all competition and once again using his tyrannical personality traits to try and prove his worth.
End. ⚡️
Wow that was a long one, lol. Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed. I know the writing of this post was a post about Black Adam’s origins rather than The Rock of Eternity, but I hope you enjoyed regardless.
As always let me know what you guys think. I’m always open to suggestions since I’m making my own version of Shazam anyways lol. ⚡️💕

imagine billy having an identity reveal (probably not willingly) and some league members being assholes about it
billy’s just taking everything for a while until they throw jabs at the tiger plushy he’s holding, because that’s his friend
so he throws tawny at the member who insulted tawnys honour and that member doesn’t think to dodge because it’s a plush thrown by a malnourished little kid, but just before it hits tawny transforms into a giant tiger
i imagine that tawny wouldn’t hurt anyone too bad to not upset billy but the league learns their lesson
This ask has been painting such an awesome scene in my mind and has never left it once, thank you so much for sending this ask!
I can imagine Billy having his identity revealed being an extreme invasion of his privacy and unwanted, but to the league it would represent a huge dramatic event. After sending in what is one of their most powerful powerhouses into battle constantly against foes that rival gods and monsters who eat gods for breakfast, the reveal of that teammate being just a child would shake them to their core.
Captain Marvel being revealed as a child would absolutely make them extremely upset, rightfully, at that. Having to sit him down during a meeting as plain old Billy Batson, to confront him for all the lies of omissions and deceptions with a heavy heart is one thing, but to look at the blue eyed, malnourished child in the eyes and see him holding a stuffed animal tightly would tear them apart.
Billy would understandably be nervous at the whole mind breaking event going on, having summoned Tawky Tawny for emotional support to get him through this chaotic meeting going from talking softly to him to interrogating him. After all, a secret as big as this being exposed would lead to a long meeting being held about his future status on the JL.
Still, no one is outright mad at him. Upset and heartbroken, but no one has made him cry yet. That's good. That's great. Billy was now seen as a child in their eyes, he didn't need any more help on that. He could get through this.
That's when it happens. Someone crosses the line. Billy was defending himself as Captain Marvel aka The Champion of Magic, making his statement that he was more than mature and responsible to handle the burdens he carried so often.
"Ha! Are you shitting me? Listen, kid, we've been here for hours. Let me tell you this. Mature people don't go hugging a stuffed animal when they're about to cry. For fucks sake, what is that anyway? A cat? You can't go hugging that thing when you're out in a battle! Look. I'm not mad at you, no one is mad at you, but I'm going to say it. No one. Can trust you now. Never again. If you think you have a future on the league with that dumb stuffed cat in your arms, you're so grounded-"
"....er..."
"Huh? Kid. Speak up. Don't mumble when you're speaking to an adult."
"I said. He. Is. A. TIGER!"
Before anyone can react or think, the stuffed tiger in Billy's arms begins to stretch and grow, leaping out of his arms and pouncing onto the man. The sudden presence of a growling and gigantic tiger in front of the league startles everybody, to the point no one notices that Billy was currently wiping away the tears that were flowing down his face.
Tawny would have detected that Billy was feeling unsafe and anxious, not wanting to hurt the man in any way, just scare him enough to stop making his friend cry. Whatever happens afterwards is a mystery, but some say....that the league member who made Billy cry that day developed a fear of tigers 🐅
I absolutely adored this idea you sent in! It's helping me through my writer's block right now!

Marvel/Shazam Family Headcanons 3
1. Tawny is capable of turning into both a regular tiger or a stuffed animal for easier transportation in daily life 2. Damian is jealous that Billy has a tiger 3. The first time Damian met Billy and Mary no one knew their civilian identities causing for Damain and the Batfam to be very confused as to why the League of Assassins had been hired to kill them as well as why they were using such extreme measures and demanding such a huge payment for it They never found out the real answer until many years later 4. Due to the wisdom of Solomon, the Shazam Family knew everyone's secret identity from day one as well as a bunch of other information Bruce hates this, and is a little bit jealous even if he will never admit it 5. Billy, Hal, and Barry became a trio of sorts 6. Darla and Mary once helped track down people who were stealing magic artifacts when Billy wasn't available Multiple things happened, Darla adopted Barry as her new older brother whether he wanted to be or not, Mary started telling embarrassing stories about Billy almost instantly, Bruce became even more confused about Captain Marvel's civilian identity, and Ollie was angry for a week about being shown up by a talking rabbit 7. It's an official rule to not play any betting games with either Mary or Billy or challenge them to a game of cards where betting was allowed Hal and J'onn have beat Billy once or twice, but no one has ever beat Mary 8. There's at least five different bets surrounding the Marvel family at any given time Billy always finds a way to get more than anyone else out of them 9. Mary and Kent will spend a lot of time talking about archeology

A Venture exclusive as I talk Shazam history
Tumblr media
The second film of Shazam has been out for a while now, so it would be a good idea to talk about the character and his origin. But to keep things simple, I will stick with the 2011 reboot version, loosely based on the first 2019 Shazam film.
Billy Batson became an orphan at a young age after his parents, C.C. and Marilyn Batson, passed. After the cessation of his parents, Billy became callous to most individuals. Cultivating thoughtless and insensitive, he bounced around from foster home to foster home until he anchored in an orphanage in Philadelphia. At fifteen years old, Billy was put in the hands of Victor and Rosa Vasquez, both one-time foster kids who had already adopted several youths.
Billy drove into the Vazquezes' house, where he encountered his latest foster siblings, Mary, Freddy, Eugene, Pedro, and Darla. On a side note, Mary and Freddy existed before the reboot of the new direction that the editors of DC comics were going. At the same time, Eugene, Pedro, and Darla first appeared in the Flashpoint story, where Barry Allen went back in time to save his mother's life.
Anyhow, back to the origin story of Billy, who declined to attach to the other youths and abandoned their endeavors to get close to Billy. The next day, however, Billy footed in to safeguard his siblings from bullies taunting them at school. That evening, he slinked out of the home and was pursued by Freddy, and the boys chose to kidnap the bullies' father's automobile, who was an influential figure in the community and by any means was not a good man. Billy was detected and fled to a subway train at the metro station.
Soon the train altered into a pathway to the Rock of Eternity, where Billy met the caretaker of the Rock, the Wizard. The Wizard has been seeking the boy's heart and glimpsed that he was not the type of good that he hoped to find. When the Wizard told him his thoughts on the person he was seeking, Billy was immediately outraged at him for thinking that anyone is virtuously good without faults. The Wizard accepted Billy's point and looked deeper into his soul. After glimpsing all the good Billy had done in his existence, the Wizard granted his abilities to Billy. With a mention, he could change into the champion, Shazam, and exert the Living Lightning. After presenting Billy with all of his abilities, the Wizard dies.
At the same time, the age-old champion Black Adam was released from his imprisonment by Doctor Sivana, who, via a mishap, acquired the power to glimpse the forces of magic with his injured sight. Sivana revealed to Black Adam the contemporary world that he woke up to, which Adam was not pleased with, and began his pursuits to transform the planet. To do that, he went to locate the Rock of Eternity. There, he found that there was a new champion who Adam had wanted to see.
Elsewhere, Billy met up with Freddy again, and after some convincing his foster brother about his newfound abilities, the pair went out for an evening of frolicsomeness. They tried to use Billy's adult build to reach objectives such as accumulating money to drink beer. Evidently, by accident, however, the two appeared to fly into all kinds of danger, all of which Shazam fixed. He assisted a woman when attacked, halted a bank theft, and knocked out a man who desired to pinch a store. A spirit called Francesca emerged in a mirror to warn Shazam of the emergence of Black Adam, but Billy thought he saw things. Yet, Billy got into a conflict with Freddy after he apprised him that he didn't desire to go home or switch back into his teenage shape, and the two broke up.
Billy tended to escape by yielding to his mortal state and concealing himself in the zoo with a tiger he regularly saw named Tawny. When he was separated, Shazam was eventually discovered by Black Adam, who struck him without guilt. Freddy told his foster siblings what had occurred, and they located Billy and convinced him to turn back into Shazam to stop Black Adam. They traveled to the metro station to try to return to the Rock of Eternity. There, Francesca spoke to Billy again, telling him how Black Adam came to be.
Francesca directed Billy's visions of a boy and his family enslaved in old Kahndaq, a nation in the East where all mysticism was conceived. The boy was propelled to perform in wellsprings until his uncle rescued him from a sentry. The two attempted to run, but the Council of Wizards found them. There, the Wizard chose to give his power to the boy and give him a link to the Living Lightning, but he declined and desired to transfer it with his injured and failing uncle to save him, a desire the Wizard bestowed.
Witnessing this, Billy regarded Black Adam as the boy of archaic periods, a lost child simply like he was. Not hearing Francesca's appeals, Billy rushed to encounter Black Adam, telling his human build to the other champion. To speak Adam out of his wicked campaign, Billy attempted to petition Adam's sentiments but was snubbed. There, Adam disclosed that he was not, in fact, the boy but the uncle. He extinguished his nephew when he realized he did not want to utilize his abilities for vengeance.
Billy was terrified by this and was rescued by his foster family when they forced an automobile into Black Adam, offering Billy enough moment to change into Shazam. Billy encountered his vexation only to see that Adam had captured his foster siblings. Black Adam demanded Shazam deliver him all of his abilities, or he would extinguish the light of his siblings. Billy recalled some suggestion the Wizard had informed him in his last moments, "Family is what it can be, not what it should be." Shazam recognized this was the hidden magic and gave all his siblings the power to exert the Living Lightning.
They all attempted to defeat Black Adam together but were pushed to split up when the Seven Deadly Sins, whom Sivana collected concurrently, were released upon the municipality. They hailed a demon that began to engulf the city. Shazam and Black Adam reach the zoo, where Tawny tries to assist Billy and strike Adam. Stressing for the tiger's life, Shazam fascinated him, but the magic reversed and split the balance of his existent sorcery, and his siblings instantly started to feel a loss of power. Shazam and Adam resumed their conflict while the other Vasquez kids battled off the monster and saved the civilians.
Understanding that physically he was no competition for Black Adam, Billy pivoted back into his human build and began prompting Adam to do the same. The old champion did so in anger, unwillingly extinguishing himself. Because he had not switched back in centuries, his human form aged hundreds of years in a single point, pushing his body to revert to dust. In the aftermath, Billy developed a closer relationship with his new family.
So that was the first arc of the new 52 Shazam. Before, he was called Captain Marvel, but for legal reasons with Marvel, DC comics decided to change the name to Shazam, which, if you asked me, I think Marvel did DC Comics a favor.
There have been other attempts to bring Shazam into the limelight. At one point, he joined the Justice League, became a student at Teen Titans academy, and even handed over the responsibilities of Shazam to his sister Mary, who, in a four-issue mini-series, was headed to college, which, if you have yet to see, I recommended doing so as its a story of her dealing with her new responsibilities as The New Champion of Shazam, which is also the title of her book, but also with her family, friends, school, and a carrot eating rabbit named Hoppy the Rabbit.
So that's it for now. Until next time, Venture Onward.

Prompt 106
Dan absolutely despised his parole at first, but honestly this is a blast. Sure, he’s stuck in the form of a cat, a kitten even, but he’d found an absolutely wonderful companion. Partner. Ally? Baby Chaos Lord? He’d work on it.
Klarion is just happy to have found such a great familiar, he even named them Teekl II, which is a great name thank you very much hero-babies! So now he has two Teekl familiars, and Teekl II always gets so gleeful whenever they successfully pull a prank! He even has his own fire magic which is so fun!
Danny is not happy to get thrown into another world, stuck as a kitten. He’s also not pleased to have found a sick baby liminal, but fine. If this is what he’s supposed to deal with then he’ll deal with it! Even if he has to be a familiar for a teeny tiny bit of time. It’s fine, and the dude has a pocket he can peek out of on his coat.
Jason has no idea where this kitten came from but the Pit is being surprisingly chill about it. Something about a baby? Whatever, he’s made the furball a little matching outfit and they like to sit in his pockets and peer out. No idea how Cat Hood is making the shadows all spooky now or why the eyes went from blue to green, but whatever.
Ellie is utterly delighted in this situation. She was just wandering, but now she’s a lil fluffy kitten, and ended up landing on this kid’s head. This magic kid’s head! He even has a talking tiger friend too! So cool! She’s definitely sticking with him! This will be so fun!
Billy was worried about making sure the kitten got food, she’s so tiny! Mr Tawny is a big help though, and apparently she’s his familiar now that he’s given her a mortal name? He doesn’t fully understand but apparently she’s connected to his magic now, if the shouts from the gods are anything to go by. Look, an electric cat is cool. Pakhet is amazing, and Fawcet thinks it’s adorable that Marvel has a kitten clinging to his shoulder

COCK CAGES
Trapped in a [Cock] Cage of Emotion - novelty one that was a gold tiger’s head, but Steve wanted to go with one simple and easy for his first cage. They decided on a purple silicone one, just long enough for Steve while he was soft, and a padlock, because Billy really liked the visual of it, and Steve doesn’t really plan on leaving the house wearing it, anyway.
Locked In - Omega!Obi-wan locks up Qui-Gon's big Alpha cock in a little cock cage and shows him the pleasures of being fucked like an Omega bitch in heat.
In Exchange - Dean can't afford to pay for rent, but he can pay in other ways to his landlord, Castiel Novak. (Nipple Clamps, Fivesome - M/M/M/M/M)
Do Not Let My Fickle Flesh Go To Waste - Cody bit his lip to hold in a groan as his cock pressed unpleasantly up against the smooth bars of the steel cage. “I nearly came in my blacks the first time I saw you in this.” Boil swallowed audibly. (Spit Roasting)
De Oppresso Liber - After a difficult scene, Bucky and Steve put themselves and each other back together again. (Milking, Vibrator)
Paragon - When Hannibal met Will Graham (the man who had, three years prior, been mistaken for the Chesapeake Ripper), he expected amusement.
But You're Mine - Peter doesn’t understand what he keeps doing wrong, how he could yet again find himself dumped. (Sounding)
Marital duties - Aemond attempts to take revenge.
Lock and Key - There’s a box waiting on the kitchen island the next morning, wrapped in brown packing paper and topped with a jaunty bow, Jean-Eric’s nickname written on it in André’s messy scrawl. (Plugged Cum)
In your darkness is my salvation - Felix got up, and came and sat next to Sylvain, he threaded himself into the strong arms and from under his navy fringe, looked up into the tawny eyes. “Can you accept that it is both? Yes I am running from my demons, and yes, you are my refuge.” (Orgasm Denial, Nipple Clamps, Butt Plug)
FREE USE
Adventures Of A City Slut - Keith and Shiro just wanted to go shopping. Of course, nothing is really simple when you sign up to be fucked 24/7.
Unstoppable Force meets an Easily Movable Jibooty - Jungkook has been waking up hard for the past couple days. Usually it's easily relieved, but this time is different. He needs someone to satisfy it
Party Favors - Kray and Galo have very different ideas of how one should behave at a party. (Orgasm Denial, Gangbang)
Plugged - Thanks to his powers going haywire, Peter can't focus unless he's getting off. Wade volunteers as tribute.
Twink becomes a cum dumpster for a day - Read the title. That’s it. (Butt Plug, Plugged Cum, Orgasm Denial)
NIPPLE TUBES
However Sweetly It May Storm - After Civil War, Tony Stark is trying to pull his life together and deal with the betrayal and abandonment of his team. One night he goes upstairs to find Steve Rogers in his penthouse, and is ready to try his hand at throwing him out the window. But things aren’t always what they seem. Can they get it right this time?

'why hasn't Batman adopted Billy Batson yet'
- Billy has already been adopted by his long lost twin sister Mary's parents
- Billy is already in a happy foster home
- Billy is in the care of his talking tiger friend Tawky Tawny
- Billy is actively resisting any & all attempts to adopt him so Batman would have to like Physically Kidnap him and he's not doing that
- Billy has made it clear that he'd rather go it alone & Batman respects his decision bcos he's a weirdo like that
- Billy doesn't want to move to Gotham. Have you seen Gotham?? Fuck that noise.
- Billy & Damian hate each other's guts and if they were made to live in the same house they'd fight to the death
- Billy is allergic to both cats & dogs and there's no power on this earth that could compel Damian to get rid of any of his animals
- Same as above except Billy is terrified of cows
- Batman is at Adopted Child capacity so if he got another one he'd have to start rotating them out & it works on a first in-first out basis so he'd have to cut ties w Dick and he's not doing that
- Captain Marvel Physically Can't live anywhere other than Fawcett City bcos that's where the entrance to the Rock of Eternity is located and he needs to stay nearby
- Billy refuses to live in the same house as Alfred bcos he hates the British
- Billy refuses to live in the same house as Bruce bcos he hates the rich
- Batman's 'no metahumans in Gotham' policy is just that strict (but what about Duke - he said no metahumanS. he can have 1.)
- Batman is concerned that Bruce Wayne having an adopted son with the last name 'Batson' might clue people in & protecting his secret identity is paramount unfortunately
- Seriously have you seen Gotham?? why would Billy want to move there. Ew.

You heard about my Gravity Falls AU (I'm working on a longer post for that), my Matilda AU, now get ready for my Caroline AU!
Haha, I need to stop making these AUs and work on my other fics, but, a Caroline AU would be so interesting and fitting for Billy! I could easily see a scenario where Billy enters one of the magical doors in the Rock of Eternity and steps into a dimension that feels like a home for him, being manipulated from the shadows by the Beldam. Billy would be the perfect soul to harvest and consume, since he's pure of heart and the Champion of magic, if the Beldam ate his soul, she'd be all powerful and be able to break free into the mortal realm.
A little doll that looks like Billy with button eyes, eerily resembling his original appearance in the comics.
Billy struggling to reject and stay away from the other mother, who feels like his real mom, despite him never knowing her/barely being able to recall her in his memories. The cat being Tawny the Tiger, trying to warn Billy away from this malicious realm. A other Freddy that can't talk, but wants to help Billy escape while he still can. Maybe the ghosts of the children can be Billy's original friends from the earlier comics, one of them being Freckles (I forgot the names of the others but if I go to another tab this is all gonna be deleted).
I'm also very tempted to make a Ride The Cyclone AU, too :D
I swear the two of us are on the same wavelength here. I've seen a few coraline AUs (typically for Tim Drake, though Billy often featured as one of her targets even though the story never seems to be about him)
A coraline AU with Billy could be so good! Like he has struggle against getting sucked into this world that is everything he wanted with people who (seem) to care about him. As someone who hasn't had a mom in a long time Billy could be so easily drawn into her act because he wants to be loved 😭
And I really like the idea that one of the doors in the Rock of Eternity leads to the Beldam's world. And the other kids being lost golden age characters just really hits the sweet spot for me.
I don't know Ride the Cyclone but I trust your brain to make some really intriguing AUs that are perfect fits for Billy.
