EVEN MORE AU IDEAS I CAN'T GET OUT OF MY HEAD-

Space Dream and Nightmare

So basicly, the Dreamtale story is told like space but its really scientific bc I love space! so Dream and Nightmare are stars in development, stuff orbits Dream but crashes into Nightmare and eventually he collapses into a black hole and Dream is blown away by the affect. ...

I LOVE SPACE-

Undertale but Sans is an ass

This was made when my fyp was FLOODED with people complaining abt how many centered Sans AUs there were so I made one where Sans is just an ass to everyone and Papyrus is sad all the time, nobody at the bar likes him, Torial hates him for telling offensive jokes.

Pass down guardianship

Basicly Dream and Nightmare die and the power gets passed down to their subordinates, but Dream doesn't really have one so it's eather Cross or Swap.

ErrorDream

Keep it simple, Dream gives useful info from the "internet" to the villagers while Nightmare gives sad warnings abt wars or boycott componys. And eventually yk the apple incident? Well, Nightmare turnes into a virus.

This can work with Swapdream too where Dream is a virus popup add tricking people and Nightmare warns people abt the weather and all that sad shit.

Biblicly accurate Dreamtale

I have a fic abt this but it's kinda bad...

My idea was to eather just take the Bible and replace god with Dream and Lucifer with Nightmare but that's too simple!

Instead their brotherly bond was so strong that they ate the apple togeather in front of the villager mob and became 15ft tall giant biblicly accurate angels that guard the tree. Dream has multible eye wings, Nightmare has the eye rings.

I also wanted to make it so Nightmare coukd only be seen if Dream was around, like how the moon can only be seen if the sun shines on it.

What inspired Sera's design? I've always loved her design and would love to know some of your thought process when you were making her

Originally she was actually going to be very human and a fallen angel. her dynamic was basically the inverse we have now. a very forward and sexual angel who tries to seduce a shy and social anxious succubus. (sorry this is the only concept art i have rn thats not uh, lewd. the comics were originally going to be a lot different and for a separate account)

but i lost interest in the concept since i'm more of an opposite attracts type, and i wanted to explore both environments (cant exactly explore heaven if your wife is rotting in hell).

So I went with a more typical "serious angel x sexual succubus" type, but then went, "what if she actually was the more intimidating looking of the two". succubi are meant to be sexy and approachable, so what if her girlfriend was fucking weird and scary. I had a rough sketch (which i cant find for some reason) where Sera is this just this massive rings of fire with a giant head/eye inside, but then I felt like it was... kind of boring.

which is funny considering ive had people claim that my current sera design is trying too hard to be "biblicly accurate" but i wasn't trying to be! I wanted it to be a mix of version depicted in biblical art AND more humanized form. I wanted a partner for lili to hold hands with. An angel design that felt unique. Sorry if the answer feels vague, I never really had a specific design in mind when drawing her.

Something I've noticed recently is people just adding trauma to their ocs for no reason. Like obviously it makes sense for ocs to have trauma but I mean some people are treating it like a "let's add every trauma ever‼️‼️" and it kinda irritates me, it's stupid but it does. Like there's a difference between a child being abused, neglected whatever than a character randomly turning into a biblicly accurate angel just because and it having almost no reason or relevance and it happening just because.

Like everything that happens to my ocs happens for a reason, if even one out of Aya, Ivonne, Ari, 206 and Nettle had not had trauma, the main plot would not have happened. And with characters like Saoirse and Sierra, they act the way they do in order to protect themselves from trauma again. Like it affects the characters.

But I've seen people just be like "oh yeah my oc was just walking in the park and then turned into a decaying corpse randomly and there's no other lore or character‼️‼️‼️" and it just bothers me since that is not how stuff works.

I know demons are supposed to look terrifying, but if they are supposed to trick humans, wouldn't it make more sense for them to look more trusting or elegant. Like shouldn't demons look more like the non biblicly accurate version of angels, and then angels can look like angels. It could teach good lessons like my totally favorite and not overdone "don't judge a book by its cover" or to call out priests and pastors, it could teach kids not to trust every stranger no matter how kind they look. Just a thought.

Guys my head is flooded with au ideas and I don't have enough time to draw all of them so I'm just going to talk about it.

Religious!Dreamswap (+Lust!):

Dreamswap but everybody is religous and Dream + Nightmare have severe religous trauma and are gods of love and lust but they both reacted differently.

Nightmare(Lust) grew up to hate Christianity and even became a Satanist. He was constantly hated as lust was seen as a sin against god.

Dream grew up believing everything the church told him, he was praised for his ability to give love. Whenever Dream tried to protect his brother, he would be forsed to watch Nightmare being punished by the cherch, causing Dream to be unknowingly scared all the time of sin. He was scared others would go though this because of lust, thus makeing the Anti-sin Home of God (Very creative verion of JR)

Little does anyone know, it's also Dream's job to break people up, he doesn't like doing it and knows if it ever got out he would be thought of differently.

Scene style Swapdream!Nightmare:

I just like the thought of Swan dressing as a scene kid! Nothing else to it. (Maybe ds Nightmare and Swapfate Nightmare too lol)

Under-construction au:

I was originally going to make this au but there was too much to make my idea happen so I just accepted it would never get posted.

So basicly, it's an Undertale au where its not done yet. Constant changes happening to designs, storys, personalities, ect. It looks like Inks abandoned au tbh. And the bodys will be half way done. Like, the rest of the head and chest will be fully drawn but the arm will be a stick with a circle on the end.

Sometimes there are double the amount of characters because the creator is stuck between two disigns.

I also had this idea where the characters are desperate to be completed, so they may try to steal anything from a completed au and stick it on to themself such as completed clothing and sometimes a soul.

Biblicly accurate Dreamtale:

So the whole thing sumed up, is that it's Dreamtale, but when Dream and Nightmare eat an apple, they turn into these big 15ft angels with wings and rings, protecting the tree of feelings from mortals.

I also had this idea that Nightmare is littrally invisable when he's not near Dream in this AU, because you know, tge moon only shows in the sky because of the sun's light!(I'm so smart)

Trans MtF Ds Dream:

I'm actually making a short story abt this but I may not finish it>3<✌

Dream wears Nightmares dress at a young age(yes, Nightmare is trans FtM), and secretly likes it.

MDream is in denial abt it and distracts himself for 100+ years untill he finally takes a break and finds out that she's trans and curses herself out for ignoring it for so long.

"You are me and I am you?" Dreamtale au

Basicly, the normal story of Dreamtale but the twins are jelous of what the other has.

Dream is jelous because he wishes he could have a break, to have some time to himself instead of helping the villagers all the time because "thats what he's supposed to do as the gaurdian of positive feelings".

Nightmare is jealous because he wishes to have friends and to be liked by everyone like his brother is. He doesn't want to be bullied and hated anymore.

Out of jealousy he kills his twin and absorbs his soul using the magic of the apple tree. He then becomes the guardian of feelings, but forgets who he was.

He remembers being jealous of his brother but since their thoughts are now combined, he can't remember who he killed or who he once was. Causing him to go insane.

(This was inspired by a song I can't remember the name of)

You know what bothers me (but in the grand scheme doesn't matter)? "Biblicly accurate angels"! Cause the thing is they aren't . . . Wrong. The angels they always think of (the wheels within wheels with eyes around the edges) are called "thrones". But the thing is there are more than just thrones.

There are the cherubim who have four faces. One of a man, one of a lion, one of an eagle and one of a bull. They also have hooves of brass.

And the seraphim who have six wings one pair to cover their face, one pair to cover their feet and one pair to fly.

And no one seems to do the research to use the latter two. They just cover somthing with eyes in the wrong places, give it wings and call it a biblically accurate angel. It's like when "lovecrafian" things were big (cause Lovecrafts work entered the public domain) and people just added tentacles and called it "lovecraftian".

(A quick note this is not a dig on the quality of "biblically accurate angel" art I have seen some fantastic art that is in thrones athstetic but I would love to see people do more research into their designs cause there is so much more)
