i still think a lot about how technically, it's implied Anubis and Walt started dating each other before they asked out Sadie, and if Sadie had said she wasn't interested they would have gone "Entirely fair have a nice day" and proceed to just go continue to date each other.
Cause like, that was the entire thing. They decided that themselves. That things would work best if they were together (as in both physically sharing a body and also relationship-wise). The "asking Sadie about it" part was secondary. If she had said no, they would have stayed together, because among other things Walt would kind of die if they didn't. Walt and Anubis are technically the first gay couple in the Riordanverse. AND they're in a polyamorous relationship with Sadie. Why does no one talk about them ever.

A lot of people have pointed out this might be foreshadowing for future cross guild lineup. Seems like the theme here is “people with crushed dreams/people who grew stagnant rediscover their dreams once again”
Crocodile and Moria are classic examples for people with crushed dreams. Crocodile had somewhat rediscovered his dream in Marineford, but judging from the newest chapter he still hasn’t abandoned his old Utopia plan (lame)
Buggy gave up on his dream 20 years ago, and just now regained it and said it out loud while also calling Crocodile and Mihawk’s way of doing things lame (goated)
Mihawk is still unclear, but one clear thing is he used to be way more of a threat than he is now. Who was once called Marine hunter is now basically a perpetually bored grandpa who just wants to a quiet place to drink and sleep -> He grew stagnant
Doflamingo, despite being active in the underworld and keep saying shit about the new era, doesn’t really do anything to change it -> which is why Law rubbed it in his face with the “I broke the gear” speech

Has there ever been a vampire story in Star Trek? Because it occurred to me just how interesting an episode that would be.
Picture, the Starfleet vessel is in uncharted space. Everything seems to be going well, exploration as usual, until Odd Things start to crop up. Noises in the middle of the night, things moved or seemingly missing, a few crewmen swear they could feel something watching them.
The ship is searched, prow to stern, and they find nothing.
Turns out the ship has been infiltrated by a highly evolved predator species. One that just so happens to feed on iron-based blood and one who jumped at the chance to sneak aboard. Perhaps it can camouflage itself so well it can hide even from bioscans and tricorders, not sure, either way its terrifyingly stealthy.
Anywho, the episode follows the ship's Vulcan officer, the one whose blood the creature does not find edible, trying to figure out what's happening as crew start to find odd little bite marks on their necks and wrists after a night's sleep that did seemingly nothing to energise them. Of course, the crew immediately start to joke about how the ship must have been secretly renamed The Demeter before they set off. A few of them check the cargo hold for boxes of suspicious dirt. Just in case.
Its all vaguely amusing and somewhat unnerving until the first crewmember is found dead, completely drained of blood, and everyone goes from nervous to panicky because the similarities are building up way too much to be the usual Space Bullshit.
Imagine this as TOS so you too may be graced with the mental image of Jim cradled in the arms of a beautiful, if clearly alien, creature covered in the Captain's own blood, with Spock prepared to defend his t'hy'la with a phaser and a stake whittled from the table leg of the rec room's only real wooden bit of furniture.

any physical pain io's experienced has nothing on the emotional pain that they felt when col betrayed them. to know that your son, the boy you raised and loved wanted you dead? that he killed the man you loved, his own father, in the attempt? that he would so willingly rip apart an entire life and family out of ambition?
io was disoriented by it for a long, long time. I still think they are. they've never had a chance to truly grieve the son they lost that day, because he's still alive.

just realized that when hashirama tells his and madara's story - including the bit about madara telling him about the writing on the uchiha monument - the uchiha monument is actually right there next to them? madara told him that he could decipher the writing using his ocular powers which im thinking means that u need EMS cuz madara was the first one to obtain them .. sasuke has EMS too and he demonstrates that at some point to everyone there. why didnt anyone think about whether he might be able to read the writing w them?
hashirama at this point - with exception of the few hints that he got from madara - has no clue what the writing says but he does know that it had smth to do with madara leaving the village and when sasuke and orochimaru later tell him that madara has been resurrected and plans to trap everyone in his infinite tsukuyomi .. why wouldnt he connect the dots and realize that maybe thats what he meant back then with his "real dream"? wasnt he curious to find out more specifics? cuz orochimaru and sasuke just say that he wants to control everyone, kill everyone, cause the world to go under etc. and bc they dont know madara thats enough of an explanation for them. but hashirama has much more intimate knowledge of him, he still regards him a fundamentally kind man, refers to him as his gift from the divine, says that he looks forward to reconnecting with him etc. etc. so surely he must have wondered whether there isnt a little more to the infinite tsukuyomi than just world domination for world domination's sake? and the monument was right there, if sasuke had turned out to be able to read it, they couldve gotten a better understanding of it. even without hashirama's perspective on madara as a person - the writing could have had crucial information on how to stop him. so why didnt anyone think about having sasuke try and read it?
