Pairing 1: Pompshipping (Miho Nosaka/Seto Kaiba)
Propaganda: HEAR ME OUT. Miho has blue-ish white long hair. Kisara has blue-ish white long hair. Yugioh DM is NOTORIOUS for having long-dead characters have mysterious modern day dopplegangers (that’s the whole plot!!!) so why not like this? Miho is a gold digger who’s on the lookout for her perfect prince. Kaiba fills that role perfectly: young, rich, successful, handsome— what’s not to love? She latches onto him and they are both confronted with the fact that they’re both terrible people actually, and somewhere in there, real feelings sprout and they have to struggle to navigate it
Pairing 2: Beautyshipping (Mai Valentine|Mai Kukaju/Aileen Rao)
Propaganda: love a good f/f rarepair and also two powerful ladies. aileen is a model who is so good at games that kaiba decides to make her a game master, and mai is introduced as being a powerful duelist who wins a lot. they could make each other worse. | i really like them both and like to see my faves together. and i like the idea of two women who are both very independent being in a relationship together because it could be done either as a sort of rivalry romance where they're both trying to one up each other OR it could be a very soft thing where after a long day having to do everything for themselves, they have someone safe to come home to who really gets them. really depends on where in each of their stories you have them meet, i think.
Now, let’s keep things civil. This is a silly poll where we can share why we love our overlooked ships. There’s no need to be nasty to prove your point. Bashers will be banished to the Shadow Realm.

No Makeup, by Sharon Olds
Maybe one reason I do not wear makeup is to scare people.
If they’re close enough, they can see something is different with me,
something unnerving, as if I have no features,
I am embryonic, pre-eyebrows, pre-eyelids, pre-mouth,
I am like a water-bear talking to them,
or an amniotic traveller,
a vitreous floater on their own eyeball,
human ectoplasm risen on its hind legs to discourse with them.
And such a white white girl, such a sickly toadstool,
so pale, a visage of fog, a phiz of
mist above a graveyard, no magenta roses,
no floral tribute, no goddess, no grownup
woman, no acknowledgment
of the drama of secondary sexual characteristics, just the
gray matter of spirit talking,
the thin features of a gray girl in a gray graveyard—
granite, ash, chalk, dust.
I tried the paint, but I could feel it on my skin, I could
hardly move under the mask of my
desire to be seen as attractive in the female
way of 1957,
and I could not speak. And when the makeup came off I felt
actual as a small mammal in the woods
with a speaking countenance, or a basic
primate, having all the expressions
that evolved in us, to communicate.
If my teen-age acne had left scars,
if my skin were rough, instead of soft,
I probably couldn’t afford to hate makeup,
or to fear so much the beauty salon or the
very idea of beautyship.
And my mother was beautiful—did I say this?
In my small eyes, and my smooth withered skin,
you can see my heart, you can read my naked lips.

Some time ago I commission the wonderful Bleu to draw me my favourite cracksipping: Green and Ruby.
@ladyofbarians and I have a RP where, after Red left for the mountain, Green had a more or less “relationship” with Ruby and while Green just wanted to forget and...ehm....f*ck, Ruby fell in love with him. After Red came back, Green let him fall and poor Ruby suffers alone :’)
I made up two names for it, Replacementshipping but because this is so sad, we also created Beautyshipping since they are both kinda....self-loving :3

This is where I make things gayer between Atem and Yugi in this au :3
Yuga and Atem have been pinning after each other for a LONG time, their sisters know this (pretty much everyone knows because they are so goddamned obvious) so Mai has an idea, she convinces Yugi into accepting this idea she has for the next dash/war game. The queen/ruler of the country/kingdom that wins the next game will have the right to chose someone to go on a date with Yugi.
But when the day comes and she’s announcing this, she changes the date thing to spouse, she thinks is funny, Yugi doesn’t and Atem is internally freaking out.
People are super exited, and some of their friends are also confused because they never tought Mai would ever do something like that to her adored little brother -some actually catch on what her plan is and find it quite funny, no all find it funny tho-.
Atem had always been an strong warrior -not only counting those from Galette- but he had never defeated SO MANY oponents, that time he absolutely DESTROYED the other kingdoms imperial guards and knights; then he was defeated by Yugi -who had never defeated so many so many opponents (cuz he wasn´t that active in the war games), nobody ever thought he was that strong/good warrior-
Atem was relieved when it was announced that the dukedom of Pastillage had won the game, because he thought that then Yugi wouldn´t have a spouse (much less one chosen by someone else) then almost fainted when Mai announced that she chose him (Atem Galette des Rois) to be her adored little brother’s (Yugi Eschenbach Pastillage) spouse -Yugi didn’t faint but was absolutely flustered (and secretly rally happy)-
They don’t get immediately married tho, but they DO start dating; and years after that they absolutely get married <3 <3 <3 <3

As her heart thudded in her chest, Mai assessed the situation she’d found herself like a wounded animal seeking an escape. Aileen was so close to her, and Mai’s stomach was in knots. It was stupid to be this nervous about kissing, and yet this wasn’t like all the other kisses Mai had before. This promised something real and tangible, and Mai wanted no part of it. Despite that, Mai remained frozen to the spot she stood in as Aileen got closer. There was no fear in Aileen’s eyes, and she had a flirtatious smirk on her face. Aileen had always been better at reading people than Mai had been, and Mai had no doubt that Aileen already knew everything that Mai was feeling… and then some.
And yet, Mai did not run. She should run. She allowed Aileen’s lips to press to hers, and Mai reached for Aileen’s waist to pull her in closer. It did not change that she was scared of the future, but here with Aileen… it seemed just a bit less terrifying. And for the first time, Mai began to let herself fall recklessly and without abandon.
