mark webber on oscar piastri: "the absolute standout, the global standout. the way he came through these categories with such speed, giving the opposition a really hard time, he just seems to have this level of maturity. He’s very calm, very mature, very calculating, with a big capacity for information."

im gonna give my two cents on the aus gp bc i wanna
i wanna start by saying im not trying to take anything away from sainz. coming back 2 weeks after having surgery and winning is wild and he did a good job (which is a wild statement from me bc i hate the man)
however, what i will say is, he was not challenged in any way.
ferrari decided very early that they were gonna hold positions (which personally i think is insane bc how are u gonna tell the guy that could have been leading the wdc after this race if he'd won that he isnt allowed to fight for said win)
mclaren did not have the pace to pass the ferraris. so they were never a threat to carlos. and perez was nowhere despite being in a literal rocket ship
its easy to keep it on track in p1 when your only threat is told not to fight you.
heres what pisses me off tho, sainz OFTEN ignores the team and doesnt allow himself to be sacrificed for charles and yet every time charles is asked, he plays the team game. i NEED mr sebastian ‘i was faster, i passed him, i won’ vettel to give charles a call. i NEED to see the menace that drove that ferrari in 2019 make a return pls and thank u
