“You need to.”
“Need is a strong word, soldier; I need water, food, and sleep.” He states and points at the bunny costume you’re holding. “Now, this, I don’t need to do.”
“Come on, Lt., do it for the kids!” You beg.
He looks out the window at the funfair outside. Christmas, Easter, and Halloween festivities are held yearly at the local park, and the military base is expected to contribute somehow. Things like cooking and baking for example, or helping with the construction of the rides, and assisting with the general operations, were a few of the tasks you had to undertake. Apart from the famous egg hunt, the community has organized a variety of other activities this year, including egg and spoon races, potato sack races, and pony rides.
“Why don’t you put it on then if you care so much about the kids?”
“I’m on face-painting duty.”
“Why can’t I do the face-painting?” He asks, pointing at his black-painted, camouflaged eyes.
“We talked about this, Lt.,” you say and extend the costume to him, “you were the chosen one.”
The phrase ‘the chosen one’ was an exaggerated one but, in some ways, accurate. A few days before such events, the base held a raffle to determine who would perform as Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. This year’s ‘lucky’ winner happened to be Ghost. You never did that for Halloween though, since there wasn’t an official ‘mascot’ apart from the pumpkins, and according to the Captain, “you were all monsters anyway.”
“I bet Soap planned all this,” he snaps, pointing to the fair outside, “I bet he rigged the raffle and wrote my name on every single ticket: Riley, Riley, Riley, Ri-”
He stops upon hearing your long sigh. “Soap would never do something like that,” you shake your head.
“Oh, yeah?” he asks, peering out the window again. “Where is he anyway?”
“He’s helping the kids at the shooting gallery,” you admit and quickly regret it.
“I’d be great at teaching kids how to aim!” he yells, raising both hands, “why does he get to do that?”
“You’d be the star of the show, Ghost!” you encourage him as you wiggle the suit. “The Easter Bunny!”
“I don’t want to be a star, soldier,” he snaps, shooing the costume away, “plus, I hate dressing up.”
“Um, Lt., sir?”
“Hm?”
“You’re wearing a mask with a skull on.” You murmur, raising your brows.
“That’s for a different reason, and you know it.” He stiffens and narrows his eyes at you.
You must come up with a solution quickly. There’s no way to persuade an grown ass man, especially a frightening one like Ghost, to dress up in a fluffy costume and cosplay as an imaginary character if he doesn’t want to.
“You can’t go outside with that cover of yours, especially on Easter,” you explain. “Now, this, on the other hand, comes with a full mask on...” You say and lift the bunny costume by the shoulders.
He groans and rolls his eyes. That’s his way of contemplating the idea.
You shrug and look at the costume. “I’d consider it a deal, to be honest.”
He looks at the costume, then back at you, takes the costume from your hands without saying a word, and goes to the toilet to get changed.
A short while later, he returns, this time in the form of a 6.5-foot-tall, fluffy, white bunny with pink ears. His hands—or rather, his paws—are hidden in the costume’s pockets, and he diverts his masked face away from you.
You swallow your laughter and nod vigorously in response.
“So, what do I do now?” he asks defensively.
“Just act like the Easter Bunny.”
His ears and whiskers wiggle as he turns to face you. “How does the Easter Bunny act, soldier?”
That’s an excellent question. See, the Easter Bunny is cheerful and quite energetic. Ghost, on the other hand... well, let’s just say he’s doing a pretty good job on Halloween at the House of Horrors.
“J-just wave at the kids, Lt.,” you shrug and hand him a basket full of Cadbury creme eggs, “and blow the occasional kiss.”
“Like this?” he asks naively and pats the mask’s buck teeth with his paw.
“Yes sir,” you reply, looking down at the floor to hide your smile, “exactly like this.”

Seven months of green hair and I finally cosplay joe hills!
literally only person who got it at the Halloween party was my partner's sister's boyfriend
Some detail photos, silly photos, breakdown of everything, and also a Jedi Joe costume I accidentally put together below the read more:
As for the Jedi Joe, I forgot my shirt, so I had to quickly make a new one with a random shirt I found and paper. My brother just happened to have a lightsaber he brought so I asked to borrow it for this picture.

Breakdown:
Nametag: cardboard, toothpicks and hot glue, surprisingly sturdy
Hair: there's a chroma green hair clip in the back that's not visible either, but otherwise, my hair's been green since march
Earrings: there's a green mushroom earrings on my right side, and a green gem stud earring, the mushroom was made by my other partner
Necklace: Amethyst necklace, was thinking it could be a reminder of Oli and the rift and all that fun stuff
Pronoun pins: I also use Any Pronouns so I happened to have the pins around!
Shirt: Generic t-shirt that I cut the arms and neck out of, the @ was made with a stencil I cut with an old second-hand cricut, then cut out of fabric and heat-n-bond, then sewed the edges with as close to a satin stitch as my machine allows.
Fishnets: gloves and tights were both bought online
Stripped shirt, Jeans, belt: just happened to own for awhile
The chains were once used to display squishmallow clips, they always got thrown out so I took them home from work one time. Painted green, then mod podge.
Boots: beaded myself with pony beads, have had the boots themselves for ages
Jedi Cloak: sewed for a different cosplay (moiraine) but it was so close to a Jedi cloak when done I've also been using it as that. and it has pockets! of course!

●It all started with u beeing good at drawing horses. Miles was impressed and asked how you draw so good.
"LIKE HOW??? ARE YOU SO GOOD AT DRAWING HORSES???
"Its cause I drew them alot"
●Miles was amazed on how knowledgeable about real facts on horses and the mythologyical one too. Unicorns? Alicorns? Pegasus? Please you can draw them blinded.
●But no matter what your explanation may be Miles just has a little suspicion that its not just cause your born to draw horses. He caught u doodling a purple oddly familiar alicorn.
"Hey what's that?" Miles pointed at your doodles as you closed your sketch book in emberassment. "nothing!"
●It was a normal day you and Miles on your dorm room studying suddenly beeing called by your roomates outside for some help. Miles was left in your dorm he was kicking his foot til he hit a box to hard making it fall down to reveal....
Ponies???
●You walked in to your dorm Miles brushing celestia's hair. You froze. Your soul leaving your body. Miles turned to you in a innocent smile.
"So you like my little pony? I still remember you drawing the purple one! What's her name? Sprakle Sprinkle?"
"IT'S TWILIGHT SPARKLE"
●It was funny when Miles deliberately or unintentionally mistakes the ponies name and you always corrected him. He once called chrysalis the alien pony. He called Cozy glow a crazy bitch when you forced him to watch all 9 seasons of the show including movies and mlpstopmotion videos.
●Loves the apple family and pinkie pie.
"I cant believe you watched this as a kid. I can understand how your so good at drawing horses now"
Gwen Stacy
●Gwen and you werent too close in the beginning .It was just you two were seatmates so she notice on your "subtle" referance to the show. Be it the elements of harmony colored gems sticker on your notebook. Your twilight sparkle cutiemark earings. Or just you doodling the treehouse of harmony.
"I like your earings"
"T-thank you"
●It was kind of normal of your friends picking or joking on your mlp obsession. It sometimes makes you left out since you couldnt for the life of God relate to alot of they're series of the month. It was hard for you to not cringe at Live action. You were used to animation. The live action just felt stiff compared to animation. Gwen never understood your friends she thought it was cool how you memorize ponies name cutie marks even backround ones.
●It was lunch time and Gwen went to her classroom early and theyre she saw you watching the wedding of shinning armor and cadence. Face full of food as you watch intently.
●Gwen smiled sitting next to you. "Mind if I sit next to you?" You jolted and fell of your chair luckily Gwen caught you. Eversince that day you watched mlp episodes with Gwen everylunch.
●She loved doing theories. Like why theyre never been a baby alicorn born till flurry heart. The connections of equestria magic and the human worls. Loves the idea of Discord beeing the last draconequus and finding solice in invading worlds to feel not alone.
●Loves the seaponies.
"God I love applejack love her honestyand loyalty to her family! And the cutie mark crusaders are adorable! Sweetie Pie is the cutest!"
Hobie Brown
●He didnt meet you as Hobie brown but as spider-punk. It was an accident when beating up some corrupt cops near by he saw you full pinkie pie cosplay. You wearing a pink wig with a blue , pink , and yellow cupcake dress. It caught him off guard of your ballon accecories. He got kicked in the face becuase he was distracted watching you.
●Eversince he saw you he tried seeing you again but god hates him. He couldnt find for the life of himself. He tried going to cons wandering around finding any familar cosplay. He called it a night at 3rd day going till.
"I am sorry-"
●It was you with the same pink wig , ballon clips , pink , blue and yellow cupcake dress.
"You look dench in that."
"Thank you! I worked really hard on the dress"
●Eversince that day Hobie offered to ask you about the cosplay finding out your suppose to cosplay pinkie pie from mlp. He was a little confuse at first but after watching 4 seasons he gets it. It took him a while to catch up but he thinks the show is enjoyable at the least.
●You convinced him to cosplay twilight as you cosplayed spike. Imagine him with purple glitter extensions , a pony ears and horn with wings. It was funny but he didnt mind. He was Qreally into you wearing loads of spikes on your outfit since you were cosplaying a dragon.
●When he showed up like that on a meeting with Miguel he didnt give a single crap only reapeting.
"I look awesome and you aint doing nothing about it"
●He loves discord and pinkie pie but has a soft spot for thorax.
"The changelings look cool before and after. You can't CHANGE my mind"
Pavtir Prabhakar
●200% already knew about the show. Was actually obsessed as a kid but nobody like to talk about it with him well except for you.

Toji regretted it as soon as they entered. Why? Well the welcome was enough for him to want to go home.
A pink haired girl in a maid dress, fluffy cat ears adorned her cosplay. Toji thought she was cute, sure but the whole place wasn't his style. He stuck out like a sore thumb in his black button up shirt and grey paid pants whilst Gojo wore lighter attire.
"Welcome to the sweet treats café!" The pink haired maid greeted the pair, bowing out of respect. "Oh, master Gojo, would you like for me to get your usual table?"
Gojo shook his head.
"No thanks Diane, a table for two on the balcony should be good."
The maid toji now knew as Diane nodded with a smile, leading them upstairs and into the balcony area which was less crowded.
"I'll get a server with you guys as soon as possible." Diane informed once they were seated, giving them one last sweet smile before heading back downstairs.
Toji sighed deeply, already regretting coming here. This was where the next hour and a half of his break would be spent. An overly pink decorated cafe with plushies and pink cats decorated.
"She's a cute one right?" Gojo hummed, flicking through the menu.
Toji just shrugged, taking his own menu and looking through the different cakes and sweets that were available.
"You fucked her yet?" Toji asked, focusing on some of the more basic options. I mean, how the fuck was he supposed to know what a strawberry matcha delight was?
Gojo almost choked on his saliva, looking around to make sure there weren't any kids.
"geez. You really have no filter." He rolled his eyes.
Toji raised a brow.
"And that isn't your business."
He got his answer.
He was about to complain more but the sound of heels clacking made him pause, both him and Gojo looking towards the stairs.
As told, a maid showed. But Toji didn't expect the so-called 'maid' to look like that. He practically froze. You were dressed in the light pink maid costume but the skirt looked a lot shorter, pink lace thigh highs hugging your legs, hands hosting pink and white lacy cuffs whilst your head held pink cat ears, long light brown french curls with some streaks being pink coming down to your back, tied back in a high pony tail.
For once in his life, toji was speechless, watching silently as you walked over.
"Ah, master Gojo!" You greeted, bowing slightly. Fuck your voice was the cherry on the cake.
"it's so lovely to see you again. And you are.."
Toji realised you were talking to him and that he'd been staring longer than he wanted.
"Oh." Gojo interrupted. "This is my co-worker, Toji."
You smiled wholeheartedly. "It's nice to meet you master Toji." You bowed slightly.
He cleared his throat, beads of sweat starting to build at his forehead.
"Feelings mutual."
"So," you started, bringing out your notepad. "What can I get for you both?"
"I'll have the tiramisu with a white chocolate glaze and a black coffee."
You jotted Gojo's order down quickly, your attention moving to toji after.
"And for you, sir?"
Toji's mind was going wild and he finally realised he hadn't even chosen.
Gojo just sighed and flipped toji's menu so it was closed, placing it on top of his.
"He'll get the chocolate and vanilla cake and the same drink."
You smiled and jotted that down before taking both menus from Gojo.
"Alright, thanks. I'll be up here soon with that."
When you were finally gone Gojo turned to toji with a shit eating grin.
"That whipped by a girl you just met? You're sweating"
Toji swallowed hard, his throat suddenly dry.
"Shut up." Toji brushed off, using his sleeve to wipe the sweat off his forehead, Gojo laughing in return.
He'd be lying if he said he wasn't though. You were too pretty for your own good. And even though he had just met you, he already wanted you.
After minutes of painful teasing from Gojo, you finally returned, tray in hand, your face focused on balancing it all, a giveaway that you weren't the most dexterous waitress here.
You placed the tray down gently, a proud look on your face.
"Phew.." you whispered, "Enjoy your meal!"
You then skipped off. Toji was slightly distracted though. Looking at the stairs every time he heard heels or shuffling of feet, hoping to see you, only to be disappointed by other maids or guests. Luckily for him though, the balcony area soon began to become more crowded, meaning he got to see you a couple of times, talking to different people and interacting with kids that ran by every so often. Distracted by your presence so much that he wasn't even sure as to what Gojo was babbling about.
"And then I said, Sarah, you can't just steal food from the work fridge all the time and- toji? Toji!"
"Hm?" Toji hummed, still looking at you taking orders from a nearby table.
"Dude. You're being creepy." Gojo pointed out, finally making toji look down at his plate again. "If you're that interested in her then get her number. We gotta get back to the office in 15 minutes."
Usually that would be easy for Toji but there was something about you that was different. For one, you weren't just one of the girls he'd sleep with when he went to different clubs or parties.
Gojo practically deadpanned toji at his reluctance before calling you over, toji's heart dropping to his ass.
You quickly wrapped up the table you were attending before skipping over to their table.
"Can I do anything else for you guys?"
"Well, we're ready to wrap up here, could we get the check?"
You nodded before clearing the table, taking the messy tray back downstairs. Once you were gone, Gojo faced Toji with a mischievous look.
"Get her number. Put it on my card." Gojo quickly said before placing his card down and leaving the table before Toji could even react.
Toji mentally cursed himself, the only option was for him to wait for you to come back up. He waited and waited. Seconds turned into minutes and minutes felt like hours. Why was he acting like this?
Eventually, you finally came back up again, an apologetic smile on your lips.
"So sorry for the holdup! Did master Gojo leave already?"
Toji felt his head blur before he snapped back into it.
"Yeah. Shit....uh, can you put it on this card?"
You nodded, taking the card from Toji, your fingers slightly brushing against his gave Toji a weird surge of electricity, watching as you tapped it against the card reader, waiting before a confirmation sound came from the reader, giving toji the card back.
"Please, let me walk you out." You offered. And you were too fucking cute to say no to so toji ended up agreeing, walking down the stairs with you to see that the place had become a lot more crowded. He guessed this was rush hour.
Just as you got to the doors toji bit his tongue before deciding to go for it.
"Hey..." Toji mentally slapped himself. He hadn't even gotten your name off of Gojo and you didn't have a tag. "Uh...can I get your number."
You stared at him silently, just blinking before snapping back to reality.
"Oh- of course, sure-" you stammered.
Toji offered you his phone, watching as you typed your digits into his mobile before handing it back to him.
Toji took his phone, staring at the contact, expecting to see your name but just saw the words "maid café girl".
He was about to ask but by the time he looked back up you were a few steps away.
"I'll see you, please come again soon-"
Toji just nodded, walking out and taking in a deep breath of air, tension finally being let off of his chest.
Guess he had something to thank Gojo for anyway.

happy birthday mlp!!! ♥
how has it been 13 years already ??? i remember when my ex friends first got me into the show where i'd skip the intro out of pure cringe bcs ponies are for little girls, not for manly 14 yo cis girls like me!!1!!1!
then i was waiting for livestreams of the 3rd season premiere and i'd freak out in the chat lol... i started calling myself a "pegasister" on deviantart, even had those tacky f2u stamps on my profile oh god.. hell, my very first cosplay was of rainbow dash (it was sooo shit help).
ponies helped shape my art style and even taught me english!! and ofc the friendship lessons, those taught me a lot too. oh, the memories i'll forever cherish... all the memes that came out (love and tolerate, gak,...) and all the gorey shock-value creepypastas, ack...
never have i ever had a longer hyperfixation than this that still lasts to this day. except bunnies maybe. if you wake me up from deep sleep, i'll be able to recite many scenes from the show, i'll be able to do the sunshine sunshine ladybugs awake dance, i'll remember lyrics not only from the show but from the fan-fuckin-made friendship is witchcraft (which still hold up unlike that .mov bullshit). yes i've got the tism why do you ask.
god and the final episode ????? i dont agree w twilight's final design or her role in the world or w the friendship school as a whole, and i didn't care too much for the final song either... except for the very fucking end, where they play the main jingle for a second... yeah no i cried like a fucking baby lol
idk i think i owe a lot to this show. i've met some really nice people thru it. it really is the epitome of friendship, i firmly believe that. so happy 13th, my little ponies! ♥

Do you have any headcanons yet on what their cutiemarks mean and how they gotten them?

egon - spores molds and fungus (mycology)
I think he probably got his cutiemark when he was a foal, the novelization of the first two movies leads me to believe that egon was very cemented in what he liked from an early age - so when he started collecting his spores, molds, and fungus he gained his cutiemark in mycology! it could also just be interpreted as a plain old talent in sciences but I like mycology for him
peter - zener cards
pete's cutiemark is zener cards! a type of card used to study the probability of esp and telepathy, peter uses these in the first scene we ever see him in and it's less so that his special talent is esp or telepathy and more so being sleazy and street-smart because of how he uses them in the scene he's introduced in - he probably got it in high school or college
winston - fighter jet shark mouth paint
winston's cutie mark is the shark mouths you can see on old fighter jets! my main reason for this is that in the novelization and original script for the movie, winston was stated to be an ex-member of the air force, so I wanted his cutiemark to reflect flying in a sort of way (also why he's a pegasus) - probably got it as a young foal when he discovered that he liked to fly and do airshows (he became a wonderbolt when he was younger)
ray - occult books
ray's cutiemark is a direct call to his bookstore (ray's occult books) but also the fact that he loves to study the paranormal and supernatural, he probably also got it as a young foal!
janine - phone
janine's is kind of my most uninspired? she's a secretary so I figured it should be a phone since that's her... job - but it also doubles as a fact that she LOVES to gossip, in the ghostbusters video game if you stand around in the firehouse for long enough you can hear her gossip over the phones, she probably got it at an older age.
phoebe - ghost trap & safety goggles
phoebe's cutiemark is mostly inspired by her supposed love of engineering! when we see her for the first time she's tinkering with the electricity in the spengler apartment in chicago, but I think she would've gotten her cutiemark in summerville - specifically when egon leads her to the ghost trap he had hidden under the floorboards.
trevor - racing flags
so with trevor, I wanted his cutiemark to be related to cars in some way! as that seems to be a major interest to him (wears car shirts constantly, knows how to drive and fix up the ecto) - since there aren't exactly ... cars in my little pony, more so carriages, I wanted to show that he likes to race, because as soon as that boy gets the ecto up and running he's speeding through a barley field - he probably got it at maybe middle school age?
podcast - recording equipment + headphones
podcast's cutiemark relates to his.. podcast - I couldn't think of anything else since his name is literally just podcast, but I'm sure it could be interpreted in another way; he probably got it when he started mystical tales of the unknown universe.
lucky - golden four leaf clovers
so, lucky's is probably the most based on her name instead of anything relating to her character, golden four leaf clovers to symbolize luck - don't know when she would've gotten them, maybe as a younger foal.

What do you think MDZS characters at a LOTR convention would look like?
I'm assuming this ask is about cosplay, so here goes:
Wei Wuxian stitches up a copy of Arwen's red and blue mourning dress and dresses A-Yuan as her son Eldarion. Halfway through the con, they stumble across Lan Wangji in an ent costume. <3
Lan Qiren goes as Elrond. He is very tired, and also in charge of too many people. Someone help him; he shaved off his precious beard for this.
Wen Qing and Jiang Cheng both end up going as Arwen's twin brothers, Elladan and Elrohir; this is because Wei Wuxian was cosplaying Arwen, and Wen Ning was cosplaying Elrohir. Their costumes look similar to Aragorn's traveling outfit in LOTR, because of the twins' close association with the Dunedain.
Jiang Yanli and Jin Zixuan cosplay as hobbits, complete with furry hobbit feet. Jin Ling insisted on going as Bill the pony.
Nie Mingjue and Lan Xichen cosplayed as Sauron and Thranduil respectively, at Jingyi's request. Lan Xichen's costume looked like this; and he looked so gorgeous in it that NMJ couldn't stop kissing him at the con. By the end of the weekend, there were over a hundred Sauron/Thranduil fics on Lofter and AO3; the fandom never recovered.
Meanwhile, Jingyi went as baby Legolas with a tiny bow and quiver.
Nie Huaisang made a very good Galadriel. He's just that fabulous.
