#And that Mipha said she was happy for Sidon and Link’s love

Me: Stop being sad.
Also me: Spends today thinking about Link and Mipha’s love and the fact he can’t properly grieve it because he cannot remember all of the memories of their relationship.
It makes me sad.
I’ve been coping with thinking about how post-AOC Sidon travels home. It’s after BOTW, and Sidon went missing for a few months along with other champions (and Tulin lmao) With his return, Link is emotional as he reunites with Sidon. Link was beyond stressed and worried over his missing lover. He hasn’t left Zora’s Domain in weeks since he got word of his disappearance. Once emotions settle during the reunion, Sidon gets to tell Link about how he went back in time and saved Mipha and all of Hyrule. He saved Link. Even if that Link wasn’t his Link, it made his heart happy to save his love from the grief he went through before.
And Sidon is so melancholic. He got to see first hand Link’s love for his sister. Her giving Link the armor after he saved all of Hyrule. The two sharing a kiss. A future between them that gets to finally exist. Something he knew from her diaries and from older Zora’s stories, but something that he deeply understood now.
As Sidon recaps this, Link is looking up to Sidon emotionally. Sidon too seems upset. But more so guilty, Sidon witnessed first hand what had to be lost for he and Link to love one another. That maybe what the two are doing isn’t right.
But Link shushes Sidon. Finally getting a word in for the first time after Sidon’s retelling started. That Link is beyond proud of Sidon for saving Hyrule. For saving Mipha. Saving him. Link can’t help but cry after this point. He thanks Sidon for giving Link a happy life. In both of his lives. Who Link was then isn’t who he is now, but he’s so happy to know that both past and present him get to love who they love surrounded by friends and a family they found. That it extends beyond him, too. So he’s incredibly thankful for Sidon. And that he loves him, and he won’t stop loving him.
Sidon can’t help but to kiss his Hylian lover. One he’s desperately missed during his travels. One he felt guilt over, but that washed away with Link’s affirmation. Now, Sidon just feels happy. Overwhelmed, but happy. He knows Mipha is happy, and he can’t wait to tell the domain what transpired.

My brain will not be silenced nor dissuaded from considering what baby Sidon thinks of Revalink
Since we all like to joke that Sidon imprinted on Link like a baby goddamn bird and that is why he is so in love with him later
And Revalink is just Revali and Link doing full enemies to lovers with but a single side speaking aloud
Just
Revali: …. Mipha your little brother keeps bearing his teeth at me
Mipha: hmm? Oh! Yes, young zora can get very possessive of those they become attached to, but don’t worry, his baby teeth have only just come in so they almost certainly won’t break skin
Revali, concerned: so he’s definitely going to bite me then???
Mipha, happy as ever: absolutely! But he’s just a baby, you will be an old man before he gets a growth spurt and it’s anything to worry about
Revali, already fucking worried he has seen her dad: why???
Mipha: probably because he sees the way you… “argue” with Link. Sidon just adores Link, and you take his attention away
Revali: what?! No! Why would I possibly care about that hylian’s attention, Sidon is welcome to him!
Baby Sidon, behind a pillar: 🥹😊
Revali, bird of ultimate denial: ugh imagine thinking I had such awful taste as to care for Link…
Mipha: … so you recall I just said possessive? You should probably not insult Link in front of him
Baby Sidon: ❇️❇️
(Sidon has definitely also bitten Mipha for hanging out with Link and when she was younger she 1000% bit him back so he has learned better because she got her first growth spurt and is much bigger than him now
Also, y’know, adored big sister > bitchy bird)

so in those [mumble mumble] years between BotW and TotK, the Zora replaced the weathered and unreadable monuments with new history writing by Sidon, and their contents have left me hmm emotionally compromised ??
i was gonna list em out in full but then i read them all and Sidon waffles so much bless him LOL
full transcripts below (+ the 11th monument in the Domain itself) expect Sidon being an adorable goof, Zora Deep Lore, waterbending, SO much gushing over Mipha and Link, Zelda being a sweetheart, and surprise Yona content !!!
just for clarity, i've highlighted the first word of each on-screen chunk of text ... i love Sidon so much but he's so verbose i kept missing the full log lol but im glad he went all in, its earnest, descriptive and poetic :') 💙 RIP the stonemasons ...
Learnings of the Zora, Part One The Waters of Zora's Domain As told by Prince Sidon
Long, long ago, right here in Lanayru, incredible transformations, both subtle and drastic in nature, shaped the land. The tall mountains birthed clouds, these clouds cried tears of rain, and this rain filled our deep valleys past the brim. In time, this overflowing water became the Zora River, which bred waterfalls that fell and nourished the vast Lanayru Wetlands. Perhaps it was inevitable that my Zora ancestors, who wandered in search of precious water, would finally settle here. The mountains of Lanayru are blessed with high-quality stone. The structures built from said stone are solid yet refined. Just like the Zora and our domain, our buildings exist in harmony with the water. It is a beautiful symbol of our way of life. If you go to the edge of the domain, close your eyes, and listen closely ... you shall be greeted by the gentle sound of water. This kind, soothing sound is a testament to the happy life the Zora are so grateful to have found here. As one born of royal Zora blood, my duty is as clear as it is unshakeable. I, Sidon, swear here and now ... I shall protect our home with my very life, that the gentle sound of water may never cease in our beloved domain.
Learnings of the Zora, Part Two The Legend of Ruto, Our Great Ancestor As told by Prince Sidon
It is written that long ago there was a strong-willed Zora princess who was as meandering as a winding river. This princess, who was dearly loved by her fellow Zora, was noble as she was innocent. Her name was Ruto. One day, a powerful and wicked man tried to take over Hyrule and brought great ruin to the once-peaceful Zora's Domain. Our tales speak of falled Zora soldiers drifting down the river as it sadly reflected the chaotic retreat of the terrified Zora. Princess Ruto bravely fought back her tears and she bore witness to the tragic misery unfolding in the domain. Even amid her heartbreak, the Zora princess did all she coult to help the weak and elderly escape. Next she swam against the river's current and climbed the mighty waterfall to challenge her foe. The details of this fight have fallen victim to the haze of time. Few details remain. Still, it is said she was aided by the princess of Hyrule and the hero of legend, and together they saved Hyrule. So the legend goes. I, Sidon, prince of the Zoram cannot help but ponder these events as I listen to the Zora children play in all their innocence. As Princess Ruta's descendant, it is my fate to carry the torch of her brave acts into tomorrow and beyond. I shall not fail.
Learnings of the Zora, Part Three The Great King Dorephan As told by Prince Sidon
Several springs after I lost my dear sister, Mipha, a large group of Lizalfos attacked the domain. It mattered not that this was my first true battle. The expectations of those around me weighed heavy on my shoulders. The absence of Mipha, who had always been there to encourage me with loving kindness, was like a spear to my heart. As for my own spear, though I was highly trained for its use, it seemed to only cut the air and slash the water's surface. I was taken off guard by a surprise attach from three Lizalfos hiding at the water's edge, each with their blade fixed on me. I knew that my time had come ... and that is when the three Lizalfos disappeared, as quickly as they had arrived. In their place, I saw the towering figure of my father, the great King Dorephan, who had just bested my foes with ease. "Sidon, my son," he said firmly. "You allwed your heart to falter. That is the quickest way to fall on the battlefield." His words cut deep, but as I stood on the brink of dispair, a familiar gently encouraged me. "Your king needs you." Many soldiers later attested they were certain they had also heard the sweet voice of Mipha on that day. From then on, my heart was true and my resolve firm. By lending strength to our king, we were able to save the domain.
Learnings of the Zora, Part Four Two Sisters of Different Blood As told by Prince Sidon
When I was young, I had an irrational fear of strangers. I was particularly bashful around Yona. Paralyzed, even. She was already so mature in manner, and she treated me like a little brother, even though we were not related. There came an unseasonably heavy rain that quickly flooded the river. Us children, who were playing there, were swept away. I was battered by the water's strong flow, my fins helpless to resist. It was Yona who dragged me to the safety of the shore. The water continued to swell as the shore waned, but Yona was unflappable, sweetly comforting me as I shivered in fear. It was Mipha, my dear sister, who finally showed up to rescue us with other Zora adults in tow. I still remember Yona's face as she gazed up at Mipha in admiration. My face must have looked the same as I gazed at Yona. As a child, I had two big sisters. One by birth and one by chance. Yona looked up to Mipha, and I was in awe of them both. Before I knew it, years had passed, and my feelings for Yona became more difficult to quantify. Then, one day ... My father informed me that the amazing young woman who had once been a like a sister to me was to be my bride. Perhaps these feelings and memories are too dear and private to commit to history, but such is the tale of this Zora prince.
Learnings of the Zora, Part Five The Zora Armor She Left Behind As told by Prince Sidon
For some time after I lost my beloved sister, even in the light shining on the water seemed dark and dreary to my eyes. But as they say, time heals all wounds, no matter how deep. I can now speak of her with a smile, as is only fitting. I shall now tell the tale of the Zora armor that my sister crafted for her future husband, as per our ancient custom. One dark day, the domain was in great peril, and I sought help from a traveling Hylian to save our home. He was sparing with his words, yet I trusted him at once. As fate would have it, he was a childhood friend of Mipha's. My father, King Dorephan, troubled by the domain's suffering, requested his help. The swordsman agreed without hesitation. Father bequeathed my sister's Zora armor to this courageous soul, along with her hopes for the safety of the domain. The armor fit Link perfectly - so perfectly that councilman Muzu, who then harbored a hatred of Hylians, could not object. My sister had already left this world, and with her went the dearly held intentions that she had instilled within that special armor. Yet, with Link's help, she shined a light on the Zora in our hour of need, reaching between worlds with gentle fingertips.
Learnings of the Zora, Part Six The Story of Mipha Court: The Beginning As told by Prince Sidon
There was once a terrifying monster on Ploymus Mountain, loosing shock arrows on all who dared to cross its path. It was of utmost importance to drive the beast away, but as the Zora are weak to electricity, our efforts were futile. That is when a lone Hylian arrived at the domain. This swordsman who was sparing with his words ... his name was Link. Unlike us Zora, he was immune to shocks! Well perhaps that is an exaggeration, but one thing is certain. He was very brave. After careful preparation, he ascended Ploymus Mountain and defeated the foul beast all by himself. As if in celebration of newfound peace, clean water mysteriously began flowing at the top of Ploymus Mountain. That is when many Zora, if not most, voiced support for building a place that all could enjoy in that formerly frightful spot. Yet the many tree roots and stones made this task tricky, leading to a focus on the no-less-difficult matter of the name. "Zora Park" was too obvious. "Ploymus Park" only conjured images of the former terrors found there. When I candidly asked whether we should focus on the hard work at hand rather than the name, they all turned my way. "Prince Sidon," they asked. "Surely you must have a good suggestion?" To that, I fell silent, and stayed so for a long while. I shall write the conclusion of this story on another monument.
Learnings of the Zora, Part Six The Story of Mipha Court: The Conclusion As told by Prince Sidon
The first half of this tale can be found on another stone monument. If it is not too much trouble, I advise reading that first. I now present the conclusion. When posed with the task of naming this storied location, I, Prince Sidon, fell silent. After a time, I timidly proposed the one and only name that came to mind for this place of newfound peace. I suggested that we name it after my beloved sister who had long been lost to us ... Mipha Court. I worried they would think I was unfairly favoring my own family's legacy by naming it after my kin. A hush fell over the group. After a time, one of the stonemasons raised his voice in agreement. More voices joined his, one after another. The idea was embraced whlly, and the craftsmen all returned to their work. Though the work was grueling, from then until the completion of Mipha Court, the air was filled with laughter and singing. This incident drove home to my very core how much everyone loved my sister. I hope one day to inspire such admiration. If there is ever to be a Sidon Court, I must work tirelessly to earn that honor.
Learnings of the Zora, Part Seven The Prince and the Swordsman As told by Prince Sidon
The rain always stops ... except when it does not. This humourous saying was once repeated with a soft chuckle around here. Then, one day, heavy rain started falling in the domain, and no matter how many days passed it did not cease. Although the Zora are a water-dwelling sort, we came to miss the warmth of the sun and dry winds upon our backs. Alas, as fervent as our desire was, we had no means of stopping the cause of this unprecedented disaster. When all had given up hope, I, Sidon, took it upon myself to invite a Hylian to the domain. This young swordsman of few words was named Link. I trusted him at once, sensing great devotion in his kind eyes. It was immediately clear that my instincts were correct. Thanks to Link, we were able to face the thread head on. Our battle with the source of the disaster was intense by my newfound friend and I refused to yield until we finally triumphed. Sometimes, writen words flow so much more readily than those spoken ... Link, my dearest friend, you are an unparalleled swordsman, and I admire you so very much. He may lack fins and gills, but it matters not. This hero among heroes exudes magnificence tempered with steadiness. Though we are different, our hearts both yearn to serve a higher calling. I learned much from him, and I am eternally grateful. As I recall my best friend, it occurs to me that though the rains have ceased, perhaps a true adventure never does.
Learnings of the Zora, Part Eight The Princess of Hyrule As told by Prince Sidon
One that despicable disaster had ceased to plague Zora's Domain, a distinguished yet humble lady paid us a visit. This young woman who appeared with Link at her side was none other than Princess Zelda of the royal family of Hyrule. "I beg forgiveness," she said earnestly. "Because of the royal family, Princess Mipha ..." She paused, unable to continue. Small, silent teardrops tumbled down her cheek and hit the floor, one after another, each saying a thousand unspaken words. She gently wiped her eyes and lifted her gaze to meet the king's, speaking kind words of gratitude for Mipha's sacrifice. We knew well that what had transpired was the result of a decision shared by the Zora and by Princess Mipha herself. There was no need for the princess of Hyrule's apology, and even less so for her sorrow. King Dorephan, along with the rest of the Zora, were moved by the depth of Princess Zelda's sincerity. She had held that unthinkable disaster at bay for nearly 100 years with nothing more than the sheer force of her own will. Yet she was not prideful. She dutifully set to work, traveling across Hyrule to secure cooperation for the kingdom's restoration. She was adored by all, yet so humble. She possessed an inner strength, but now I am not so certain. I feel a strong calling one day to acquire this same sort of strength within myself.
Learnings of the Zora, Anecdote One The Solid Water and the Fluid Spear As told by Prince Sidon
The Zora are not associated with water because of our dwelling place alone. We each also, to varying extents, possess the ability to actually manipulate water. We use this gift for many purposes. We use it to swim faster, to achieve mighty leaps from the waves below, to gather fish, and so much more. For me, the true awakening of this ability that many of my childhood chums already possessed came upon me quite suddenly. One day as I was training at Veiled Falls, the rain slickened my grasp, causing me to drop my spear. I reached to grab it, but it was already too far away. Soon it would fall to the bottom of the cliff, never to be seen again. I knew that I must take old of it, and at that moment, droplets created a stream extending from my outstretched hand. The water stream twisted and turned until it finally took hold of my falling spear and deftly returned it to my grasp. In that moment, the water was solid and my spear fluid. This sensation forever changed my approach to spearplay. I was reminded of how my sister, Mipha, described it ... and everything clicked. Water and spear became as one. Gaining yet another layer of admiration for my dear sister, I devoted myself to my spear training from then on.
Learnings of the Zora, Anecdote Two The Great Task Entrusted to Me As told by Prince Sidon
I, Sidon, was entrusted with the great task of renovating the Zora stone monuments that had fallen to ruin. There are 11 stone monuments total find in and around Zora's Domain, including the one you are now reading. The former text written by my father, King Dorephan, could not be salvaged, and so sadly it had to be replaced. Despite my royal blood, whispers abound that it is improper for someone my age to write over the king's glorious words. Ah, but do they not realize that it was King Dorephan himself who ordered me to undertake this restoration project? Father says it is not set in stone that I shall be the one to inherit the throne, as it is not a matter of blood alone. If we ask the eternal skies above whether I am fit to rule, they shall remain silent, and so we must look to our fellow Zora. He urged me to use these monuments to share my learnings and speak to our people straight from my heart. Father is older and wiser than I. His sage advice is a gift. As such, I have inscribed my thoughts upon these 11 stones. I do not know how far-reaching my words shall be, but it is my hope that they will reach whoever needs to hear them most. Until one of the descendants writes over my musings many years from now, I pray they resonate with whoever reads them.
WELL there we are, thanks for the history lesson Sidon you absolute sweetie fhjdkdjf i have thoughts and feelings and emotions but i wont make this post any longer than it already is but i love these characters byeeeEEE

I finished Tears of the Kingdom, so here are my thoughts
I recently finished Tears of the Kingdom and wow... wow! The game was beautiful all the way through. As such, I'd like to talk about my experience and thoughts.
DISCLAIMER: this post contains spoilers for the game. Read at your own risk.
Additionally, please don't take my opinions too seriously. I'm just someone on the internet. You don't have to agree or disagree but please be respectful.
Without further ado...
Overview:
Tears of the Kingdom is a beautiful game. Absolutely beautiful, from the designs to the scores to the gameplay. All of it, beautiful.
That being said, it took some adjusting. I missed having the convenience of our elemental and bomb arrows, I missed not having to pay for every time I wanted armor upgraded, and I missed not having to fight against the RNG to get items I needed for upgraded armor. The map did have some changes that took getting used to, and some of my favorite ingredient/monster part hunting spots were no longer there, so that sucked.
But it fits the story, I find. I like how the weapons changed due to the Upheaval (though I'm a bit confused as to how bows aren't decayed), how the monsters evolved and the new monsters that came, and how the Great Fairies function — we learned in Breath of the Wild that rupees gave them power, and I found that it made more sense to pay for the upgrades instead of just a one time payment.
That being said, while TOTK takes place some time after the events of BOTW, there were some things that left me feeling empty. What happened to all the guardians? The Divine Beasts? The Sheikah towers and the shrines? The Sheikah Slate? It just seems weird to me that they would just vanish without an explanation... especially the Beasts.
On top of that, I missed the Champions. I was thrilled to see that Mipha was still a big part of Zora's Domain and with Sidon's plotline, and I love her water gardens, but I was so scared when I didn't see her statue at first.
But to continue, while it makes sense for the Zora to keep Mipha very much alive considering how beloved she is, it felt strange that the other three weren't mentioned at all. Teba has a Great Eagle Bow, and Tulin can create gusts of wind, but no concrete to homage to Revali. Riju had dual Scimitar of the Seven, which Urbosa wielded, but she's not mentioned. Heck, Yonobo is the grandchild of Daruk (source is the Creating a Champion artbook), yet Daruk's Protection has disappeared and he's not mentioned at all.
Don't get me wrong, I understand why they wouldn't be prominent. TOTK is not BOTW, and the Champions and Divine Beasts are no longer the center focus. Still, it feels weird that they were expunged entirely. At least we have those cool helms!
Regional Phenomenon Questline:
I'm going to break this down the way I completed them... which was in the exact same way as I did in BOTW! Why not, it was fun. And also, the first region will allow me to address a big elephant in the room...
Zora's Domain and the Water Temple
Zora's Domain was the first region I completed in both games, and I was so happy to be back. I love the score in the Domain, I just find it so soothing... and it's the home of my favorite fish people!
I found it super goofy that Bazz was trapped under sludge. Like sir, you didn't see that falling? You didn't look up? At least he was ok in the end. King Dorephan being alive gave me a lot of relief. Don't get me wrong, in the trailers I was stoked to see Sidon as king, but what happened to his big ol' dad? I also love his new outfit after he gives his son the crown. Also, I love how to reveal the new statue of Sidon and Link, you have to clean it and then boom — Link riding Sidon statue.
Can I just say I love Sidon's new attire? It looks so good on him. I love the little navy blue addition to his ascots and I'm very happy to see they kept the whistle. Sidon is a big comfort character of mine, so reuniting with him first was like chicken soup for the soul. I also love the water manipulation ability. It's a very cool ability to have and it's very fitting for the Zora (naturally). A little sad he doesn't dual wield spears like he had in AOC, but regardless, he's great. He's great. I love Sidon. He's a card.
Now, with the Water Temple, I found it just a bit underwhelming. It's beautifully designed, don't get me wrong, and I love his ancestor and how Sidon gets his secret stone on his glove and he gives Link his vow (I don't ship Sidlink but that was fruity). But what I found underwhelming was the boss. Compared to the others, having the goofy Mucktorok felt a little... hmm... it was a fun fight, however! I did have fun! For my, compared to Waterblight Ganon from BOTW and the Scourges in the other temples, to me, it felt a little subpar.
Now I've addressed this before but now that I've played through and can make a better statement than my previous one a lot better... let's talk about Yona.
I like her! She's super cute! I have grown attached to her style and her character, and she has such a sweet little theme. My only big issue with her is, I find her to be one dimensional. Now, I'm not attacking her or hating on her. I think Yona as a character has an immense amount of potential, the writing for her is just... a little bland. The romantic subplot with her and Sidon and her story feels lackluster. I think, if they wanted to show Sidon's fear of losing someone else, someone he loves, I have the perfect man for the job — King Dorephan. Dorephan is his father, and the last remaining family Sidon has left. With Dorephan actually injured, I find it would make more sense for that subplot to be about their father-son bond. Maybe after finding out Dorephan is injured and in hiding, Sidon goes to find his father and it's Dorephan who tells him to be strong and to help link. In my opinion, that's more plausible.
Back to my original thought, I wish Yona had more development as a character. It's very clear she means a lot to Sidon and vice versa, but I wish there was more instead of her just being thrown in. If she's his dearest friend since childhood, I would have loved to have heard more about her in BOTW. I just want to know more about her. I want to see more character in her. And yes, to address the whole marriage debate — yes, Sidon saw her as a sister, and yes his feelings "became difficult to quantify." Feelings are changing all the time. In my opinion, it feels weird to someone who considers another family to suddenly fall in love with them. But that's just me.
To the Sidona shippers: y'all rock. While I personally don't ship Sidona, I support y'all. I am in love with all the artwork and writing I have found of them, and the way I look at it, it's more art of Sidon I get to enjoy. This is a Yona hate free zone, I will not entertain Yona hate.
To the other shippers, Sidlink and all: it's canon, we cannot change it. But! AUs exist. Headcanons exist. Heck, if Yona bothers you that much, ignore her all together. Nothing is going to stop you from shipping Sidlink and Sidon with ocs, so please be positive and keep doing what you're doing. I myself will continue making art and writing of my oc/canon ship with Sidon and my OC, because that's what makes me happy. I have some art and stories of them I plan to share, and I really hope you like them too :)))
Rito Village and the Wind Temple
Now, back on track after my tangent about Yona. The Rito Village was the second location I tackled and oh my god, I got a kick out of the kids running the village. I love how they tried to help keep the town in order while the adults were trying to find the source of the blizzard and gather supplies.
I was super relieved to find Teba alright, I know we were all afraid that he was dead or something considering he wasn't in the trailer. But I love Teba very much, and I was thrilled to see him again.
Tulin is PRECIOUS. My little nephew. I love how he looks fully-fledged, and he's such a sweet li'l rascal... and the fact his quiver has his parents' feathers on there, it is such a cute gesture.
Quick aside, I love Penn, but I MISS KASS... where did he go... I miss hearing his accordion.
The Wind Temple, I find, was the most challenging to get to. I remember stacking three Zonai springs together at one point just to get to where I needed to go because for the life of me I could not get that one floating rock. I loved the bouncy sails on the ships. It gave me the kinda vibes a bouncy castle does.
The temple being the Stormwind Arc and not an actual building was delicious. A very nice touch. That being said, I love how different all the temples are: we have one in the sky that's actually a temple, the other is a flying ship, there's a temple in the depths, and then one on good ol' terra firma.
I LOVE the design of Colgera. Granted, I did do the temple at night, so it did scare me just a bit. It was a lot of fun to fight, and the cutscene of the sky becoming clear with Teba on Revali's Landing was perfect. It was a very sweet scene to add, when Tulin received his father's bow, the Great Eagle Bow, and the scarf as a nod to Revali. I wish the bow Teba made for me had the scarf...
Goron City and the Fire Temple
I personally miss that region flowing with lava. I felt it really drove home how hot the mountain is and the environment the Goron lived in, but it's much easier to traverse and it's nice to see there's still lava in the deeper caves.
I adore Yunobo, and seeing him become rude made me so sad. That's not my boy! I wanted my boy back! Making me fight him was not cool! He's such a good, kind character that it legit made me so sad to see him possessed by that mask.
I'll admit... I cheated the Fire Temple. I love the music score in that temple, and I had a lot of fun there, but I'll be the first to admit that I did not care for the mine cart system. I just climbed to where I needed to go. I'm sorry, that system really confused me and my ADHD was having none of it. So I figured I'd just cut to the chase and just climb.
I really like how the checkpoints were gongs, and having Yunobo barrel into them was very reminiscent of how we had to launch him to drive off Vah Rudania in BOTW.
The boss for the temple, left me feeling a little underwhelmed like the Mucktorok. Just break Marbled Gohma's legs and then beat the shit out of it. I can't say it wasn't entertaining though use Yunobo like that as if we were bowling.
The fist bump for the vow was such a quirky touch for Yunobo. I love it. It was really so sweet. And I love seeing Yunobo's resolve to become a stronger individual. His character growth from being a timid Goron in BOTW to now, I'm so proud of him. I feel like a proud mom.
Gerudo Town and the Lightning Temple
The gibdos absolutely terrified me. I ran into them not realizing the were there on my first time going to Gerudo town and I did not think to use elemental anything so when my most powerful weapons didn't make a dent, I panicked. Though admittedly, the moth gibdo wings are very pretty... still terrifying. I'm just glad we didn't have redeads.
Riju is SO pretty. I love her new hairstyle. At first I really missed her long hair, but she rocks her new short style. I've always loved Riju, and her reintroduction.
The Lightning Temple had to be one of, if not my favorite temple. I found it had the most difficult puzzles for me to solve, and I enjoyed that. I found I was using my brain a lot more for that temple than the others... and I died in a lot of stupid ways because sometimes the most obvious solution isn't that clear to me.
As someone who is very afraid of bugs, Queen Gibdo did not do it for me. She very much gave me the heebie jeebies... but it was nice to watch the sandstorm fade away from the Gerudo desert, for Riju to return to the throne room in the town, and for the Gerudo to leave the emergency shelter and return to their daily lives.
Overall the Regional Phenomenal questline was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed myself.
The Dragon's Tears Questline:
This fucked me up. Learning about Zelda's time in the past leading up to her becoming the Light Dragon actually made me cry. It was fun to discover the geoglyphs and have them become a permanent part of the map, but oof... my heart.
I cried when Sonia died, and it hurt so much when there was the scene of Rauru at her grave. All of it was just heart wrenching, especially Zelda became a dragon after Mineru "died" and found shelter in the Purah Pad. When Zelda screamed for Link to "protect them all" as her eyes changed... oof... ruin me.
Crisis at Hyrule Castle and the Sixth Sage:
I think it was pretty obvious for me that the Zelda we had been seeing wasn't really Zelda. Running around Hyrule Castle in an attempt to reach her, only to fight monster forces was not a very pleasant affair, and the Phantom Ganon fights were also a bit of a pain, albeit fun nontheless.
I loved how the Sages came to Link's aid in the end. It made the game feel a lot less lonely. It made me very happy to see them there protecting Link. It really gave you a sense of how much they care about him, and what he means to them.
Finding the Sixth Sage was a lot of running around that I made much more difficult because I forgot the mask when I found it, so I had to go all the way back to get it, and I didn't realize I had to put the mask in the construct, so cut to me spending an hour trying to get the limbs for the robot when the depots weren't activated yet... oops.
I absolutely adore Mineru. She is so pretty, and I love her voice. I love how her character ties in the past and present, and how she fits so well in the story. And riding her construct was a lot of fun... the boss fight for her secret stone took me a hot minute to figure out... I'm a bit slow on the uptake sometime, so when I pushed the Ganon-controlled construct into the electric fence, I was legit surprised that that was what I was supposed to do.
Defeating Ganondorf:
First off, I would like to say I miscalculated how thick the pillar was on the way down into the Depths from Hyrule castle and I shattered Link's body on the side of it the first time I dove down. It was honestly really funny. It also was a strange disconnect at first as I made my way down to Ganon, because I did not realize how DEEP underground Zelda and Link went to even find this formerly dehydrated prune to begin with.
I was... SO happy and excited that I got to fight alongside the other Sages before going to fight Ganon. It felt so euphoric, like the culmination of all our efforts was coming to fruition and we were all finally comrades in arms. It felt way more personal than the fight with Calamity Ganon in BOTW.
Being separated from them made me so sad. It felt really helpless, watching Link being trapped in the cave while the others fought. Like no don't leave me!
But the final fight, from the beginning to the end, was STELLAR. For the Sages to rejoin us and we fight him all together?! Yes please! Granted his second form's extended life bar def gave me Dark Souls vibes, which is one of my favorite franchises (including Bloodborne) so that was fitting. Though watching my friends be thrown to the side had me scared there for a second.
Watching him become the Demon Dragon, as an individual who recently graduated with a degree in animation with a specialty in effects, was so tasty. And to watch it emerge from beneath Hyrule castle... I can only imagine what it felt like to watch it like that... and for the clearly much smaller Light Dragon come to rescue us... chills. Literal chills. The score for that cutscene was perfect. And for Link, in the face of dragon, to draw the Master Sword like no big deal? Incredible.
Fighting the Demon Dragon alongside the Light Dragon, and to watch it be destroyed was incredible. And for Link to receive his arm back and Zelda returning to normal, for Link to finally grab Zelda's hand and hold her as they fell into the water only to carry her out again... I'm a huge Zelink fan, so that made my heart soar.
The Ending:
The ending itself was beautiful. I was so moved when the current Sages gave the same pledge to Zelda as their ancestors had to Rauru, and I legit cried when Mineru moved on to the afterlife. It was sentimental, and beautiful. I don't think I could have asked for a better ending.
Final Thoughts:
This game... was stunning. It was everything I could have asked for in a sequel to Breath of the Wild. And sure, there are plenty of things to nitpick about, but I had such a positive experience, I'm not even going to bother with all of that.
It was a thrilling and fresh experience, and I enjoyed myself very much.
With that being said, I know we're all looking for DLC and another game. In my personal opinion, I think Tears of the Kingdom did a very good job of wrapping up this story. I'm all down for DLC, but I personally think BOTW and TOTK doesn't need a third game. I think the story these two games portrayed, from the story of the Champions and Calamity Ganon to the climax of defeating Ganon and saving Hyrule, is completed with the conclusion of TOTK.
Of course, that's all up for Nintendo, but I am satisfied with this. I'm very happy. I could not ask for more.
If you made it this far, thank you for reading! I appreciate you sticking it out with my silly little ramblings. I really hope you all enjoy Tears of the Kingdom as much as I did, and I am always down for discussions and stuff in regards to this!
Just a little reminder: I'm just one person on the internet. Please be respectful of my opinions!
And with all that, in mind, I hope you all have a wonderful day. And now, to play both games all over again.
Courier out.

Miphlink: The day of vows
This is a entry for @miphlinkweek event Miphlinkweek2023 day 2: Proposal/wedding. This fanfiction is set in a Federal Japan AU with the Zoras as Hylians with their usual kimono colors is the colors of their main universe counterparts skins, and the wedding has a mix of Shinto wedding and western Cristian weddings. This story is also a test for the Shino wedding I planned to do on my entry for Inkag fluff week 2023.
Link walk left and right wearing his black robe, finding himself in his toughest challenge yet, which is making sure his wedding ceremony go off with any problems. For years, Link has been a freelance swordman, offering his services of protection to villages and clans during this age of war in Japan. Link never believed he would find happiness until he visit the Zora Domain, which he visited in his youth, and meet his childhood friend Mipha when he offer his services to the damiyo Dorephan. Mipha, whose is said to be a skilled healer and warrior in combat with the naginata, has grown to be a fine beautiful young woman since the years of their childhood, wearing a bring red and blue kimono with fish patterns. Soon, as time move on, the two friends become lovers, and Dorephan, Mipha's father, see evidence of this that he decided to have the two married. It is a nice idea that the both of them agreed, as well put Link in the position of being a samurai in service to Zora Domain.
However, marriage to a powerful family would lead to dealing with politics and that something that troubled Link. As he think, Link pause when he open a door open and watch as Mipha come out of her room, wearing a beautiful white kimono with a hood to hide her face from all others until the end of the wedding ceremony. Mipha's maidens has certainlly worked overtime to make their lady beauty for the ceremony as Link immediately said upon seeing Mipha, "You look beautiful." which Mipha smile. She hold her arm out and Link take it to lead the both of them to the room in the castle when the wedding ceremony is hold.
Link and Mipha enter the room where the wedding ceremony is hold and Mipha's family, her father and her younger but taller brother Sidon, were all sitting with some servants and a priest is at the center of the room, standing before a altar. Arm to arm, the two then walk to the altar and come before the priest, whose begins with some words, "Benevolent spirits of the ancestors, thank you for gathering us here today and for bringing these two in reunion. It is thank to you that Link and Mipha are blessed with each other and has come as one."
Three cups of different sizes are place in the altar and holy water are pour into them as the priest said, "Now, let the would-be married couple drink the holy water to represent their future as a happy father, a happy mother, and a child that would be born into their blessed life." Link the first cup, which was the smallest cup, and hand it to Mipha, whose drink from it. Next, Miha then drink from the second cup and hand it to Link to drink it. The order of the ones to drink from the third is a repeat of the drinking order of the first cup, with Link and then Mipha. Once the three cups are put away, the priest put evergreen on the altar and said, "Spirits of the ancestors, we place this evergreen to reflect our gratitude of you spirits for blessing their union. It is with your powers and the blessings of the goddess Hylia that they come together as one." The priest then said, "Now, I call for the ring bearer to bring forward the ring." A child put two silver rings on a pillow onto the altar next to the evergreen.
As the silver rings are lay on the altar, the priest said, "You may exchange the rings and make your wedding vows." Link put the wedding ring on Mipha's finger as he said, "I, Link, take thee, Mipha, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to Hylia's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith." Soon, it was Mipha's turn to make her vows as she put the wedding ring on Link's finger, "I, Mipha, take thee, Link, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to Hylia's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith."
Once the vows are done, the priest then said, "In the name of the goddess Hylia, they are, till dead do them part, now husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." Link and Mipha happily kiss each other as the priest request, and everyone clap to signal the end of the ceremony. Breaking off from their kiss, Mipha cry happily at her and Link's special day as they head down the hall to the dining room for the fest.

Note
please please give me background info from AAZW that isn't in the fic! and any other AU you have!!!
Here are 5 backgrounds info that you won’t ever see in the main story but are 100% canon!!
(Disclamer: some of this might have been mentioned in the main fic, tho, but I’m a fishbrain who tends to forget what she wrote before :VVVVV )
1.- When he was little Link went through a long phase where he refused to eat his greens, because Mipha didn’t eat them and if she doesn’t then why would he? His father convinced him that he needed to eat his veggies to grow big and strong and protect Mipha, and that’s the only reason he started eating them. His mother was extremely grateful with his dad, because she was starting to get white hair from his son eating nothing but fish for an entire month.
2.- Ezil and Rivan met each other when he was first learning how to ascend waterfalls. He did a wrong turn, went flying away from the water and promptly fell right on top of her.
3.- Link gets easily startled by lightning, not so much because he is afraid of it, but because he has learnt that it is deadly and his first reaction is to think “Where’s Mipha?!…. oh yeah… back in the Domain.”
4.- Link gifted Sidon a book about Stories and Legends from around Hyrule. It’s the little Zora’s favorite thing ever because 1) it has a lot of action stories, and 2) Mipha always reads it to him before sleeping. It’s a THICC book.
5.- Dorephan has caught Link sneaking in and out of Mipha’s bedroom, and he always pretend to not see him.
From “Word in the Domain”
- Mipha IS alive, and she helps Link remember their relationship once he arrives to the Domain. It take time and patience, but he falls in love with her again, and she falls in love with this new - and happier - version of Link.
- Sidon tries to pull the Big Brother front over Link once, not so much because he thinks he should be protective of Mipha, but because he heard someone saying that’s what a good brother is supposed to do, and he wants to be the best brother. Mipha was more annoyed than angry, tho.
From “His Children”
- Link and Mipha never let anyone take the triplets away. The three grow happy in the Domain.
- Redon, his oldest son, went through a very difficult time once he heard Link was not his bio dad. He was afraid Link was lying about being okay with the triplets not being their bio children, so he lashed out and said hurtful things to Link, like “You can’t tell me what to do. You’re not even my real dad!” Link understood, even if it hurt a lot. The phase didn’t last long, but Redon always felt guilty about being such a brat, and made sure to tell Link how much he loved him every day.
- Remi was the one who took it the hardest once Link died. The triplets were still quite young when it happened, because of old age, and he refused to leave Mipha’s side for months. This actually was a great bonding time for them, even if it was a sad time. Remi does end up becoming a militar healer, finally being as cool as both his mom and dad. He ends up moving to the Ocean Kingdom, but visits regularly.
- Silfa grows up to become suuuuuuper beautiful, and since Link is no longer around to give all her suitors the “if you hurt her…” talk, it’s up to Uncle Rivan and Uncle Bazz to extend the warnings. Not that they need to, tho. Silfa is a weapon master and can protect herself perfectly fine. One of her suitors laughed at the though of an Hylian being so idiotic for thinking they could father a Zora pup, not realizing she was standing right there. Let’s just say said suitor can no longer swim well.
-The siblings have this very cute tradition where each year they make a special visit to Link’s tomb and leave garlands made of flowers found all over Hyrule, along with some of Link’s favorite dishes. They sit down, eat and talk about their lives and things they have been doing - thinks they don’t even dare to tell Mipha - hoping that Link will hear them and be happy for them, wherever he is.
:V I hope this wasn’t too sad!!!!

Frozen Lake - MiphLink angst fic
TW: Character death, su1c1d3 attempt
Link's heart pounded in his chest as the words reverberated through his mind.
"Mipha is gone."
He could scarcely believe what Sidon, her brother and his dear friend, had just told him. The news struck him like a thunderbolt, shattering the fragile hope he had held onto for so long.
"It can't be," Link muttered, his voice barely a whisper. The denial filled his voice, a desperate plea to the universe, hoping that this nightmare was just that—a cruel figment of his imagination. But Sidon's solemn gaze, filled with sorrow and unspoken pain, confirmed the devastating truth.
"I'm sorry, Link," Sidon said, his voice filled with the weight of their shared loss. "She fought bravely until the very end."
Link's body trembled, and a torrent of emotions surged within him. Grief, regret, and an overwhelming sense of loss engulfed his being. How could he have forgotten? How could he have lost all memories of their love? The realization of his own amnesia struck him harder than any physical blow, as if fate itself had conspired to deprive him of the happiness he once cherished.
Unable to bear the weight of his sorrow any longer, Link turned away from Sidon and stumbled towards the edge of Zora's Domain. His steps faltered, but determination fueled his every movement. He needed to find her, to see her one last time, even if it meant confronting the icy depths that now mirrored the bleakness in his heart.
The frozen lake stretched out before him, a desolate expanse reflecting the frozen torment within his soul. Ignoring the biting cold, Link trudged forward, his boots leaving shallow imprints in the snow-covered surface. Each step felt heavier than the last, burdened by the weight of his grief, yet driven by an indomitable force that refused to accept Mipha's untimely demise.
The chilling wind tore at his clothes, sending shivers down his spine, but he pressed on, oblivious to the danger that lay beneath the frozen surface. As he reached the center of the lake, his legs gave way, weakened by the bitter cold and the overwhelming sadness that threatened to consume him.
Link collapsed onto his knees, his gloved hands sinking into the ice, his tears mingling with the snowflakes that fell around him. His heartache echoed through the silent night, a haunting melody of anguish and despair. With each breath, his body grew colder, his life force slowly fading away, mirroring the emptiness he felt inside.
As the numbing cold threatened to claim him, memories flooded back—fragments of moments shared with Mipha, her warm smile, and her gentle touch. The weight of their love crashed upon him, a realization of what he had lost, of the future they would never have together.
It was a cruel fate, to be denied the chance to remember until it was too late.
Through tear-stained eyes, Link gazed up at the starry sky, the only witness to his quiet suffering. His strength waned, his consciousness slipping away as the cold embraced him.
As Link flickered on the edge of oblivion, a faint presence broke through the haze of despair. Sidon, ever vigilant, had followed in his wake, sensing the danger that lurked in his desperate search for Mipha. With swift determination, Sidon reached the faltering hero and carefully lifted him from the frozen embrace of the lake.
As Sidon cradled Link in his arms, a mixture of relief and concern washed over him. He carefully laid Link down on the shore, quickly covering his shivering form with warm cloths, desperately attempting to infuse some life back into his numbed body. The prince's voice trembled with worry as he spoke, hoping to bring his friend back from the precipice of despair.
"What has gotten into you, my friend?!" Sidon asked, his voice filled with compassion "Why did you do this?"
"She can't be gone," Link murmured, weakly "I refuse to believe that."
Sidon's heart ached as he heard the pain in Link's words. With great sadness, he gently rested a hand on Link's shoulder, his voice heavy with the truth that needed to be faced.
"I wish I could tell you otherwise, trust me," Sidon whispered, voice choked with grief "But it is the truth. Mipha… sacrificed herself to protect us. I know it's difficult, but you'll eventually move on and-"
Link's body shivered uncontrollably, the remnants of the icy lake still clinging to his weakened frame. Sidon's words, though spoken with compassion, pierced through the fog of despair, striking a nerve deep within his anguished heart. The hero's eyes burned with a mix of sorrow and fury, as he mustered the strength to retort.
His voice cracked, filled with a fit of raw, bitter anger "How can you expect me to move on so easily?! You had one hundred years to grieve, to mourn, to find a way to live without her. I had mere seconds to remember everything we had, everything we could have been, and everything that was taken away from me, from her, from us. How can you not understand it?!"
Sidon's own tears welled up, his voice quivering with remorse as he realized the depth of his friend's pain. He had underestimated the impact of the sudden rush of memories on Link's already burdened soul. Regret laced his words as he attempted to offer solace.
"Link, I… I'm sorry," Sidon murmured, his voice heavy with guilt.
Link's rage gave way to a flicker of vulnerability, tears streaming down his chilled cheeks as he reached out a trembling hand towards Sidon.
"I don't know if I can move on."

Mipha headcanons
A: Realistic
Hey guess what Mipha is a fish therefore her skeleton is made of cartilage which decays much faster than bone and she fought waterblight in an enclosed area so her skeleton WOULD be lying in that boss chamber except it probably decayed in the hundred year span
B: while it may not be realistic it's hilarious
i know shes small because shes Feminine and the Love Interest and Link is very smol so it befits her to be even Smaller but Id like to think that she just hasn't hit her growth spurt yet and if she had lived she would have been bigger and even more muscled than Sidon
C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends
(TW: VIOLENCE AND DEATH)
o shit the one I put for A should have been here meh anyway you ever just wonder about how she died. like she probably started losing the fight when waterblight started using ice blocks because you need the sheikah slate to counter those so. she was probably battered by ice blocks until she couldn't move and then speared through. thats nice to think about.
D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own
sHE FUCKEN DID PROPOSE TO LINK BEFORE THE CALAMITY AND HE SAID YES BECAUSE THEY HAD BEEN COURTING FOR A WHILE ALREADY AND LINK REMEMBERED THAT AFTER THE CALAMITY AND HAD A TIME
ALSO THIS IS AN EXTRA ONE BUT IN THE AGE OF CALAMITY TIMELINE THEY GOT MARRIED AND WERE VERY HAPPY TOGETHER FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES

An Accidental Mating Ch. 33 (A SidLink Omegaverse Story)
Chapter 33: Tunos
Sidon was certainly not happy. He couldn't believe this was happening. They had been through so much already and here they were not being able to have that happy home life they both craved so much and for so long
Link was always a warrior, always a champion. Never once had he had the chance to be what he wanted to be: just a normal person that could have a relaxing life.
Sidon had always been in the shadow of his father, never knowing if he would find a suitable mate and marry for love despite the wishes of the council always on his back.
He thought they had promise. He had thought things were going in the right direction. They had two pups, were married and happy.
And one little run in with a yiga had caused things to just implode.
Link was gone. The darkness that had been in his mind before was now creeping back in with a vengence now that Mipha's will was no longer there to hold it back.
Zelda was there immediately upon the news, trying to help Sidon take care of both of their children now that Link was gone but also to figure out what had happened.
She held their newborn close as she fed him from a bottle, rocking gently. She knew this was not the scent he wanted to smell like but he had only been able to fuss so much before exhaustion had made him feed and cuddle close to the other omega.
“Leave it to the Yiga to ruin our time of peace,” Zelda said softly with a sigh, glad to see that he was starting to fall asleep. Sidon sat nearby, holding Ephira in his lap and watched as she played a little bit with some toys made of wood.
“I knew we should haven't been so relaxed,” Sidon sighed. “They wouldn't go down so easily that's for certain.”
“We wouldn't have known Sidon,” Zelda said. “We have much more protection this time than when the Calamity had first begun. We thought they were all gone after Link first went through their hide out and even more so after Ganon was defreated.”
But she understood where he came from. It was because the kingdoms had relaxed after everything and the years without Ganon. They hadn't expected anything to happen. And deep in the darkness the Yiga were planning something big.
More than likely trying to bring Ganon back as they had planned to do with Ephira. Now it seemed like they were going to use Link himself.
The thought sent a chill through both of them.
“We'll find him,” Zelda tried to reassure him. “I have my best men and women already out there looking for him.”
“I don't want just them looking. I need to find him myself,” Sidon said with a scowl on his face. A little babble from his daughter caused the face to drop and he sighed.
“Sidon...you have pups to look after...” Zelad said gently. “I know that Link would want you to make sure that they are protected and happy.”
“They aren't happy without him here,” Sidon said softly and Ephira looked up at him and then around the room.
“Mama?” she asked softly, her little eyes seeming to fill up with tears again. Sidon's heart  broke and he pulled her up against his chest.
“See?” he said softly, craddling Ephira closed as she started to cry in his arms.
Zelda's eyes softened as she watched him try to soothe his little girl. It was so sad. She wanted Link so bad but they couldn't do anything about it.
“It's not like we can bring them with us even if we went out as well,” Zelda said to him and that had Sidon pausing as he looked ot her. She frowned and shook his head.
“No.”
“Why not?” Sidon asked. “They are my children. Maybe if we find him and he sees them it'll snap him out of it.”
“And you risk putting them in danger with each moment you are around him,” Zelda tried reasoning with him. But she knew her words were falling on deaf ears. He was not going to listen to her and she wasn't sure if there was anything she could do to stop it.
“I trust Link,” Sidon said though Zelda caught a slight hint of doubt in his eyes. “He wouldn't hurt us or the children.”
“If you say so,” she said with a small sigh. “Just please think things over before you make any rash descsions.”
“I will,” Sidon said and he then kissd Ephira's head gently.
Some how Zelda knew that wasn't it.
And her suspicions were confirmed that evening. After everyone had retired for the night Zelda had gone to the resevoir bridge to see.
Sure enough no guard was stationed and Sidon was there with the children strapped to his chest with damp pieces of cloth around them to keep them cool. A satchel was around his hip and a trident in his fist.
To say Sidon was surprised was an understatement when Zelda cleared her throat. Guilt was on his face and he rest his hands on the backs of his sleeping children.
“Princess Zelda...I...” he began but let out a small sigh, the trident in his other hand seeming to wilt down against the marble flooring.
“Sidon...I had a feeling that you wouldn't listen to me,” she said with a small sigh. “You are just as stubborn as your husband.”
“I will not let you stop me...” Sidon said with a frown and clenched the trident in his hand a little tighter. “This is all we can do.”
“Who said anything about stopping you?” Zelda asked, pulling a bag from around one of the pillars she leaned against. “I'm going with you. You're going to need all the help you can get right now, plus someone to look after the kids with you.”
“Zelda...I...” Sidon began, a small smile forming on his face at the news. She was right, he was going to need as much help as he could.
“I can't stop you from leaving with them,” Zelda said. “But I can go with you to make sure that you three are safe. Plus..Link was like a brother to me. I need to do something instead of sitting around and waiting for things to get worse.”
“Thank you princess. You don't know how much this means to me,” he said to her. “I could go on for hours.”
“Well save it for the travels. Let's get going. We could get a horse soon to make sure we get some rest evey now and then on our travels at the stable nearby,” she said, hoisting her bag on her back. Sidon nodded and started to follow after her.
The two were silent as they started putting Zora's Domain behind the two of them, the only sound was the sound of their feet hitting the ground and the little sounds of the children sleeping in the pouch that Sidon made.
After a little while Zelda finally spoke up.
“You know...you guys never told me what your son's name is,” she said as she looked over at the small newborn. “Did you guys get the chance to pick one before..well...you know.”
“Well..Link had one,” he said to her, rubbing the baby's back. “I thought it only right that I name our little boy after what Link had truly wanted before he left.”
“What was it?” zelda asked curiously.
“Tunos,” he said softly, rubbing the little copper head and kissed it gently so full of love. Zelda smiled gently and nodded her head.
“Honestly I think that is a really great name. You should tell Link this when we find him again. Let him know it was the name you picked.”
Sidon nodded his head with a smile.
“I will.”
*
Deep within the plateau of Hyrule sat a very familiar seen. In the hillside sat a hidden cave where Link had awoken from in the past from a one hundred year sleep.
Within the cave was the shrine that Link had laid on, liquid in the pool seeming to seep into the body that laid there.
To think Link would have ended up back in this place was something he never would have thought possible. The water that licked at his skin matched the lights around him in the pool, seeping into his body: a deep pink.
The feel was painful and hard for him to function, barely able to keep his eyes open. Why was he here again?
He remembered getting checked out by the healer...and then nothing. He couldn't remember after that. Where was Sidon? Where we his pups?
He forced himself to sit up with a groan of pain, resting his face in his hand as he felt his hair come around his shoulders.
White strands met him and he gasped in shock, grasping his locks. Why were they white?
He was distracted however when the sound of a voice whispered into his mind.
“Who's there,” he called out to it but what greeted him was a deep evil laugh ringing in his ears. He clutched the sides of his head, letting out a cry.
He had to get out of there!
As he tried slinging his legs over the slab he laid on tendrils of malice erupted out of the water and wrapped around Link, pulling him back down onto the slab.
He tried to scream but a tendril had itself wrapped around his face, silencing his cries for help.
“No use in trying to get away now,” a Yiga member said as he stepped out of the darkness. Blue eyes barely saw the man step forward. The new appointed leader that had tried cutting Ephira from him all the time ago!
He struggled against his binds again but to no avail.
“Just a moment longer and you won't have to worry that pretty head of yours, omega,” the man sneered. “You wouldn't give us your daughter, so we are taking you.”
More pain shot through Link's body and he let out a scream of agnoy, his body feeling like it was on fire from the inside out.
“Long live Ganon,” the man whispered into his ear.
Link struggled hard as more screams came from him, muffled by the tendril as he fought. But slowly his world had a tint of red to it, his body no longer seemed to be under his control.
The pain was a dull aching burn and the tendrils released him as puffs of smoked formed around him, several yiga members coming out of the darkness.
Slowly he rose from the now empty pool and stood before the group. No matter how hard Link tried to struggle he had no contorl over himself.
It was as if he was watching through his own eyes but he had no say in what he did or say.
“Your grace,” the leader of the yiga said, sinking down onto his knees, the others soon following after him around them. “We have awaited your return.”
“Curious you chose this vessel,” the voice came from his throat, sounding like Link's own as well as some other dark force. Like the laughter in his head.
“It ensures you will not be defeated,” the leader said as he lifted his head. “We chose the one who used the sword against you. Now you have nothing standing in your way.”
“The princess,” Ganon growled through him.
“Is nothing without the sword wielder,” the man said and Ganon smirked, lifting his chin and looked down at his hands.
Link screamed inside of himself. Everyone was in danger and this time there was nothing he could do to stop them.

Idk why it just registered to me that you say Bazz is and ENTJ, and as an INFP I AGREE lol. That being said, what MBTIs do you think other characters are?
Here are a couple - let me know if there are any other specific characters you want to know about, but these are at the top of my brain right now.
Link strikes me as ISTP. I mean, I personally haven't interacted with this type so much, but just based on the description. I could see him as being difficult to get to know and seeming like there is not really a method to how he approaches things, but there is a lot more going on in his head than people realize since he's so quiet.
I would have to say Mipha is ISFJ. Maybe she is actually more of an ambivert, so she can seem like ESFJ. I could see her enjoying being on her own, having her quiet time and reading, meditating, or training on her own. But when someone needs her, she's there. She gets a lot of joy out of caring for others, but she needs her quiet time to recharge that battery.
Sidon, I see him as an ENFJ. He is outgoing and there is a big part of him that loves making people happy and finding the solution in situations that seem impossible. I can also see him as coming off overbearing in his desire to help people; maybe sometimes he takes on a problem that is above his pay grade or he gets a little too involved (even if his intentions are good and he only wants to see the best come from his efforts). I also 100% see him as having trouble admitting when he needs someone to be there for him.

Hello. This is my first request for the Legend of Zelda, so I do not know how to write it correctly. I don't speak English and I'm writing this in a translator, so there may be mistakes here, sorry. In general, I want to see how the reader will react to the fact that Revali, Link and Sidon cheated on her. (something made me feel sad) Thank you in advance ╹▽╹
I'm so sorry something happened to upset you. If it's along the lines of this request give me a name😤👊 anyways thank you so much for requesting!! This ended up being so much longer than I intended but I'm pretty happy with it. I hope this is what you're looking for!
✨ requests are open✨
Warning: angst, cheating
Revali🐦
I think with his prickly nature not a lot of people would stick around long enough to get to know how much he cares
But some bitch saw how much he was training to perfect his powers to help Hyrule and couldn't resist
It started off as bringing him lunches and heat pads after a long day of training and then it escalated
They would wrap his wings up and suddenly he was letting them fix his braids. He never saw it as much more than a fan helping him out but you saw differently
It ended up in a big fight when you finally brought up how Revali was allowing this fan to hang off of him like they were his partner not you. You brought up excellent points like how he took such a long time to even trust you with braiding his hair and that he could at least let them know he's in a relationship.
Revali got upset (probably cuz ur right and he can't admit it) and snapped that at least they appreciated him
Yeah bad move. You walked out and bird brain left to train away the pain
You came across his first and decided to head to the shooting range with some peace snacks but what do you find?
You walk up the slope towards the archery range, a container of Revali's favourite snacks in hand. As you approach you see something sitting inside the hut and assume it's him. Sterling your breath you walk into the hut and what you find takes your breath away- not in the good way either. Revali sat there with his wings wrapped around them, too caught up on their liplock to notice you standing there.
CRASH
The container hits the ground with a shatter, ruining their little scene.
"Y/n-"
"Don't even try it." You wish your voice didn't sound as broken. No matter how much your heart squeezed in pain from the betrayal, you wanted to come off so much different- angrier. Because you were angry. "Just because we have an argument does not give you the right to run off with your new friend."
Revali flinches at the word and you feel a sick glimmer of satisfaction. He opens his mouth to protest, ignoring your glare. "I-I'm sorry." Your glare darkens and he immediately flounders for the right words. "You accused me of something I didn't do-"
Yeah, not the right words. You wish you could do something, anything to hurt him like he hurt you. But you had to be the bigger person no matter how much you wanted to snap that precious bow of his in half.
"I accused you, not have you permission."
"We can work through this, together" his wing reached out to you, but you recoiled to fast.
"We're not together." You walked towards the entrance "I hope it was worth it."
Link 🗡️
Link is a closed off person. Sure he has people worship him for his title as the hero of Hyrule, but he would never let that get to his head. You could tell this boy he's amazing and it still wouldn't get through his insecurities
Maybe it's cruel but, that almost reassured you he would never break your heart like that. You felt secure in your relationship
That's why it was so shocking when you found out he had fallen for Zelda.
It wasn't meant to ever be more than knight and princess. And you never should have found out.
You were walking towards the stables of your party was staying at. It was supposed to be a simple trip to complete some research out in the plains. Of course your trip was ambushed by an energetic princess who begged to come along for research purposes. You couldn't complain because the addition of the princess also came with your boyfriend Link.
Now you were looking for him outside the small ranch. You fully expected him to be caring for Epona like he always did after a long trip. His love for his horse was something you had always loved about him. The way he would stay later than everyone else to make sure she was okay. It had made stables kind of your spot. Hanging out at the end of a long day to talk and spend time together while caring for your steeds.
Maybe that was why your heart felt so utterly shattered when you did find him, standing next to the stable, with the princess in his arms. Maybe you could have fooled yourself into believing he was being friendly if he hadn't pressed a long loving kiss to her forehead followed by both her cheeks, chuckling softly as she giggled.
You knew they had always been close. I mean they spent all their time together. You'd just never thought that Link would do something like this to you.
You walked away from the stables fighting backs the tears in your eyes. It was only when you found you had walked into an older area, a spare shack outside, that you finally let the tears fall. Your heart twisted in pain as sobs tore from your throat.
Why hasn't you seen this? Why weren't you enough?
------
Your research trip was almost over. You had gone back late into the night to find Link on the edge of his bed head in his hands. He had shot up to demand where you had been when you finally walked in and although he looked like he wanted to argue, he accepted that you had been organizing your research supplies and notes in quiet.
That had been 3 days ago. You had spent the research trip sticking close to your colleagues, poring over each plant and testing their uses. The princess was too distracted with her own interests to really notice how you shied away from her presence. Link had though. And he was about done with you brushing him off in favour of your work. You both were busy so not having time was nothing new. But this was different. You couldn't meet his eyes and he had caught you staring at him and Zelda as if you were about to cry before. He was at a loss and now he needed to figure things out for himself.
However he wasn't quite ready for the answer.
"I saw you and Zelda together."
His throat closed up. He wanted to say so many things. How sorry he was. How he wished he could have told you himself. How he wished he could hold you and forget how complicated things were.
"it's okay." Now that, he wasn't expecting. "I thought I could be mad at you. Both of you. But I guess... It just makes sense." You sniffled softly. You really didn't want to do this. You hated that it had to be you who gave up. But we're you really going to fight? No. As much as it tore your heart into pieces, you would stand aside for them. "I wish that things hadn't changed but, clearly you don't feel the same anymore and I don't want to hold you back. I love you. So much. But I don't deserve this, and I won't put either of us through the trouble. I hope you two are happy together Link."
As you walked towards your friends to head home Link felt his heart clench. You deserved so much better.
Sidon🦈
You were a princess from another kingdom, betrothed to Prince Sidon of the Zora. We all know how these things go, neither of you were all that fond of the idea but you would go through with it. For your kingdoms
You tried to be as understanding as possible of the situations, knowing that the prince was just as trapped as you were. So you played along with your parents wishes.
You two went on dates and spent time together, getting closer and closer until finally you kissed him.
Things were great. You were planning your wedding and enjoying the time you spent with your fiance as you prepared for your future
It wasn't until a few days before the wedding when you were trying on your dress that things fell apart.
Your dressmaker had been in a bad mood, grumbling as they worked and even sticking you with needles a few times. You would have brushed it off as a bad day if not for the facts that they seemed so unapologetic.
You finally brought it up, softly asking if there was something wrong and if you could help. They snapped, going off about how you were ruining the princes life and that he didn't love you and was only marrying you for his kingdom and that he deserved to be happy.
They realized their mistake and left quickly, leaving you alone in your wedding dress with shocked tears slipping down your face.
You later made you way to Sidons office, hoping to clear some things up and maybe seek comfort from the one you loved.
What you didn't expect was to find him already comforting someone. Your dressmaker.
You watched as he whispered sweet nothings and reassurances to them. It was when he said no matter what they were the one that he loved when you broke away.
You stood in your room, packed bags beside you. You knew there were better ways to deal with this. You knew that your kingdom was counting on you and thus marriage. You just couldn't go through with it. Not anymore.
"Y/n?"
You sound around to find the Zora princess standing in your doorway. Mipha had become a close friend in your time in the Zora domain, even feeling like family as you worked closely planning the wedding. She had once told you that you were everything she could hope for in a sister and wife for her brother. You guessed it didn't matter in the end.
Finally you choked out pained words "I can't... I just... I can't do this anymore."
"If you are feeling nervous, I can assure you my brother would never hurt you."
This made you laugh. It was cold, similar to the ice creeping into your veins. "He would. And he did." You cut off Mipha's confusion, wringing a hand through your hair, "Sidon is in love with someone else. I made every effort to work through this engagement despite our... rocky beginning. But he didn't choose me back. He never wanted me, and I won't ruin his chance to be happy."
The room was silent after your outburst. You only noticed the tears when your friend wiped them from your eyes. She offered you a small smile, sharing the pain you felt. She was losing you and still understood it was best for you. You needed to move on and save yourself from a life of pain. A life of being chosen second.
"I hope one day we can meet again, sister."
You let out a choked mix of a son and laugh. Hugging the princess before you grabbed your bags and walked out the door, out of the kingdom that stole your heart and crushed it in its hands.
"I love you, always."

YouTuber AU
Hello welcome to Dating Scandal but with Twitter Involved (nightmare)
A little exposition here:
Link, Zelda, Sidon, Revali, and Riju are the most popular group of youtubers on the internet and have a huge fanbase that likes to theorize, draw fanart, and write fanfiction about them. Disclaimer, I don’t actually interact with real-person fandoms myself lol there’s just too much potential for drama and misunderstandings & they’re always bound to end in a dumpster fire but that is sort of what this au is about so.
Impa, Mipha, Daruk, and Urbosa are family friends that appear in a lot of their videos/streams.
(This is an art blog I swear)
enter vidcon 20XX
Link:
blows stuff up/sets stuff on fire with a side of cooking vids and gaming
most are filmed outside, he does those challenges where you try to cook stuff with limited ingredients/materials
has the largest fanbase of all of them, but not the most…intimidating.
does a lot of collab videos, mostly with Impa, Daruk, and Riju because they have similar interests/channels, but Zelda appears in his videos and is seen filming and the stans read too far into it
simps. i’m pointing at you.
Most popular videos are “shield surfing on rock!—how I broke my leg” “can Daruk eat Impa’s motorcycle?” and “how to inhale ranch dressing.”
Twitter handle is @ arsonistslullabye because he’s a hozier fan
45m subs
Zelda:
theories, analyses, conspiracies, and the occasional e x p e r i m e n t
she once got link to eat a frog for 50 bucks.
most people argue that she’s better than more popular YouTubers because she actually has quality content to give to the world and she has a lot of defensive supporters
She used to get a lot of hate before Urbosa spoke up about it and scared the bejeezus out of everyone
has an actual posting schedule
“Happy Sunday everyone, it’s Zelda Hyrule and today we will be talking about cryptozoology and why blupees exist, you cowards.”
Twitter handle is @ zeldaofhyrule and she is pan. just so you know. One of those calm extroverts that mystify me to this day.
18m subs
Sidon:
fashion/life hacks. Like gourmet troom troom but if they were real people.
Has the 2nd largest fanbase
most of them are girls
Sidon has a boyfriend though, which he told everyone at VidCon a few years ago
cue the drama and shipping and the entire fandom trying to figure out who the boyfriend is. A well known reddit thread emerged that presented the common guesses being Link, Sidon, and Zelda.
“But it can’t be Zelda, Sidon’s gay.”
“I’m not in the fandom but I thought Zelda was a boy??”
“Did you just say Sidon? Is that a typo? Are you saying that Sidon’s dating himself?”
Sidon x Sidon became a fandom joke.
Don’t look at me I’m just setting up all the worldbuilding. every fandom has their weird dark sides and Sidon x Sidon is the Linkcest of the Sidon YT fandom.
Mystery BF is actually Bazz, a pretty inconspicuous guy who appeared in a few of his videos. This was confirmed a year ago, but everyone still ships him with other YouTubers because they’re convinced he was lying to throw them off his scent. He really can’t catch a break and this is why you should not ship real people.
Twitter handle is @ officialprincesidon
says “beguiling” a lot
21m subs ᕙ( ͡❛ ▿ ͡❛)ᕗ
Mipha:
Sidon’s sister, hasn’t posted a single video but just has the channel for show because she appears in so many of Sidon’s videos as a model for his makeup tutorials and whatnot
has 328k for that. Everyone loves her, she’s great. @ mimipha
Revali:
Link’s sworn rival
Link thinks they’re friends
He kept popping up in link’s Twitter threads and making snarky comments until zelda called him out for not even following link (so why was he stalking his acc) which kept the Twitter drama to a minimum
Revali was the catalyst of a few popular memes and that’s where most of his subs come from.
drags link into a few challenges that always get a ton of views because of how competitive they get
“ITS JUST ASININE” is a running joke that everyone tries to get him to say. His @ is itsjustasinine as well
Urbosa is the only person who can win an argument with him
5m subs and growing rapidly. newer to youtube than everyone else.
Impa:
Doesn’t have a channel she’s just a mutual friend of Mipha, Zelda, and Link
Rides a motorcycle, so she is used in a few of Link’s videos.
@ ihaveamotorcycle because she thinks having a motorcycle is a personality trait. the most unruly on Twitter when it comes to replying to fan’s stuff, leaking upcoming videos and generally causing chaos.
Mipha’s girlfriend. That’s how she met Zelda and Link.
Urbosa:
Is actually a model, but she has a ton of YouTuber friends because she’s known Zelda since birth.
when she entered the youtube community she didn’t realize she would be adopting like 15 children
5m subs. her videos are professional & related to her modelling career. @ urbosasfury
I feel like she would do unboxing vids. I’m not sure what she’s unboxing.
Daruk
Just a friend of Link’s, fun guy. yells a lot. once ate a rock and had no reaction.
people are scared of him for that reason
Riju:
yoga & gymnastics & “ha look at how flexible I am its eAsY” videos
you know the type
she also does reactions and is sponsored by save the sand seals charities which she is very enthusiastic about. She’s also Urbosa’s niece and the only minor in the gang (15). I like to think that the champions YT community is actually not creepy so everyone respects her a ton
doesn’t post frequently, she mostly appears in Link’s videos to jump out of airplanes or whatever. And sometimes Zelda’s if she’s interested in the topic. 500k subs, but she’s always really popular when she appears in Link’s videos.
VidCon:
In the months leading up to VidCon, some fans on the internet made a few discoveries: first of all, that the inside of Link’s house is painted green. This is a big deal because all of his videos are filmed outside either in his backyard or on trips that he and the brosquad go on to do…whatever bros do. explosions. idk. The point is he had some announcement about VidCon and filmed it inside. Only the wall and a potted plant were shown.
However, the colour was similar to the the shade of Zelda’s living room. Fans dug through years and years of old videos and found a clip of Zelda walking through a hallway, where there was an open door and a glimpse of a houseplant.
There were 2 types of responses to the theory:
“They could just be roommates guys calm down”
“and they were ROOMMATES?”
others pointed out that Link could just not have a house and had to crash in Zelda’s
Some guy on reddit claimed he had a botany degree and declared that the houseplants in the clips were not of the same genus. Normal people pointed out that the plant would have grown 4 years between the clips and would look considerably different.
#Zelink trended on twitter for a while and people posted other old clips from both of their channels and the frog video blew up again
Impa retweeted a post tagged as #zelink with “rofl” and later publicly apologized for causing confusion.
Fans noticed that in the “can a motorcycle drive over my arm” (it was clickbait he’s fine) episode 2 years ago, Link was eating out of a paper lunch bag with his name written on it in handwriting that a few people claimed to look like Zelda’s, leading people to believe that she had packed him a lunch.
However, this theory was shot down with the counterargument that Zelda can’t cook. although. i mean how much skill do you need to make a sandwich.
No one knows what tumblr is doing at this time
Zelda wore a scarf in her “Save the Sand Seals” video that matched identically to the scarf Link wore when he travelled to Hebra to film a shield surfing video, but it’s been debated wether it’s actually the same scarf or not.
Neither Zelda nor Link has spoken up about the theories, and besides Impa’s one slip on twitter, neither has any of their friends. Zelda received a lot of backlash for the assumption that she was dating Link because he has a lot of delusional fans that didn’t want her to “steal their man” or whatever the hell that type of fan would get mad about
Oh yea and bolson & karson run a zelink fanpage on twitter sorry I forgot about that
after that whole mess, everyone was even more anticipant of VidCon in the hopes that some of their questions would be answered.
The whole batch went to VidCon this year: Link, Impa, Daruk, and Riju are a gang while Sidon and Mipha go together and Zelda & Revali each go separately. Urbosa is there for supervision moral support
Zelda has always been much better at dodging questions that she doesn’t want to answer than anyone else, so her Q&A went without a hitch. When asked to confirm the rumours she said “which one?” and then moved on to the next question (without actually confirming any rumours).
Link is generally a more awkward person but eventually said that he had filmed the video in Zelda’s house because it was nicer and didn’t realize it would cause such an uproar. Fans were disappointed, but Bolson claimed he saw Link and Zelda exiting the hotel elevator on the same floor after Link’s Q&A session. No one believed him.
Fans went back to theorizing over who Link, Zelda, and Sidon were all dating, because apparently they can’t just be dating unknown people and have to be with other YouTubers
Sidon and Bazz got engaged about a week after VidCon, making at least 4 preteen girls cry
actually try 4 million
Sidon x Sidon made a brief comeback but Sidon spoke up about his fandom for the first time ever on twitter and told everyone that no, he was not dating himself. eventually, everyone settled down and accepted that none of them were in a relationship save for a few loud fans.
Link and Zelda still got the occasional “when will you tell us who you’re dating?” comment but most of them were joking and the people who still hardcore shipped them were generally frowned upon. Zelda’s popularity went up after VidCon and she regained the 200k subscribers she’d lost after the first theory dropped.
Two months after VidCon, Link posted a video titled “Zelda and I’s House Tour!” and gave around 45 million people a heart attack
as revealed in the video, they had actually been dating since they were 16 and everyone’s just a fool.
the potted plant is named Hestu.

Wild’s Journey
@rhythmicreality @tortilla-of-courage
... Yeah I decided to post this.
So, this it what happened to Wild and his tiny fluffy baby wings.
Also hey! Tag list!
-----------------------------
Link couldn’t remember a time without wings.
He couldn’t remember a lot of things, but that’s not the point here.
When he woke up, a woman’s voice softly urging him to open his eyes, he didn’t immediately know they were there. The liquid (water?) drained from the pool he was laying in and he sat up completely dry. He swung his legs over the side to get out and froze at the feeling of something fluttering on his back.
He reached back there, running his fingers along his shoulders. It took him a moment to realize that they were a part of him, and he grew confused as to why he wouldn’t know that. He knew his feet were part of him, why not these soft, fluffy things on his back?
He pushed it aside when the woman started talking again, figuring that if there was a reason then he’d figure it out.
The worn clothing he’d found in the chests didn’t accommodate the fluffy things, which he had a feeling were wings by now, and so for the first long stretch of his time on the Great Plateau they were pressed uncomfortably between skin and fabric.
He tried jumping off a cliff when the Old Man said he couldn’t make it off the Plateau without dying. The Old Man was right. His wings were too small to fly, and if he jumped then he would die.
The warm doublet had holes for his wings. It itched and made him sweat a little easier, but it had holes for his wings. No more feathers between skin and fabric and getting ruffled and rubbed uncomfortably. He did not take it off until he got something else.
Impa had laughed when she saw his wings, which made him ruffled and caused his wings to puff up. Impa and Paya both thought it made him look cute, which only really made him more ruffled.
Impa did apologize, and directed him to a shop in the village that would modify clothing to accommodate his wings. She told him of what happened, and who to talk to.
Purah was thrilled by his wings, and took a picture of them with his repaired Slate so he could see them. A soft greyish brown, with little bits of blue in them. She said that they’d be really pretty when they fully came in. He didn’t understand that, and Purah sent him back to Impa.
Impa did explain. Apparently, at the end of their first quest, since some had many, the Hero and Princess who beat back the evils would gain wings. It explained why he was the only one with wings. Apparently when he died, and also he died and wasn’t THAT a shock, his wings had begun to come in, but by placing him in the Shrine of Resurrection it seemed to have halted that process. Purah seemed to believe that at some point, likely after he rescued Zelda, his wings would finish coming in.
He got himself a new outfit, this time comfortable and with holes for his wings, and headed on his way.
He got dragged into Zora’s domain, and met Sidon, who didn’t notice the wings until after his father pointed out who Link was. After that, Sidon got really excited, and spent a moment cooing over Link’s wings.
Link, finding his enthusiasm sweet and rather cute, for as much as a ten foot tall shark man could be cute, fluttered his wings.
Sidon was thrilled about that.
Muzu caved the second Link put on the tunic. It was hard to argue who it could be for when Mipha had specifically tailored slits for his wings.
He got the shock arrows from the lynel, and he joined Sidon in fighting Ruta to free it and Mipha, someone Link barely remembered but knew had loved him dearly. She had planned to propose after all.
Mipha also thought his wings were cute, and, though he was still ruffled, found he wasn’t as mad when she said it. He thought he might have missed her a lot.
Her grace in hand, he headed for Death Mountain.
He made a stop on his way in Akkala, locating the Robbie that Purah mentioned. The man was, eccentric, and Link couldn’t find the source of that sound that played for effect when he spoke occasionally. It bothered him. The man was helpful though, and offered up a few more thoughts on Link’s wings.
Link didn’t stay long, intent on saving the rest of the friends he couldn’t remember.
He had to hide his wings on Death Mountain as well. The feathers caught fire too easily. This was annoying.
Yunobo was great though, and when Link downed a flamebreak potion once so he could stretch his wings, Yunobo thought they were fascinating. He treated them with so much care and gentleness, like he thought he’d break them or something. It was sweet.
Daruk had laughed, said he was finally growing into his role. He also thought Link’s wings were downright adorable, and Link was only mildly put out by that phrasing.
The Korok forest was adorable, and Link loved the koroks. They loved him too, and he let them preen his wings when they asked because of how excited they were. It was really cute.
It was also the cleanest his wings had been since he woke up.
He had been excited to meet the Rito, they were after all bird people. They had wings too. He hoped that maybe, when his wings came in fully, they’d teach him how to fly.
Teba was an asshole. He was also stubborn and determined, and willing to throw down with a Divine Beast. As someone also stubborn and determined and willing to throw down with a Divine Beast, Link could respect that.
He made a note to come back to the flight range when his wings came in for practice.
Revali, once free, had laughed at how small Link’s wings were at first, making Link really upset that he couldn’t punch a ghost. Then Revali softened up, just for a second, and said that Link’s wings would be gorgeous when they came in, and that he was impressed. Then he went back to being a self-entitled jerk.
It was okay though, Link forgave him. Even if he was still bitter about being unable to punch a ghost.
The only place left was Gerudo Desert, and Link found his first issue in the form of being a man. He did meet a woman who sold him an outfit to disguise himself as a woman so he could sneak in.
(And if he, as he wandered the streets of Gerudo Town, learned that he sometimes wanted to be she, well, that was her business.)
Riju was very helpful. Buliara was not. And so Link found herself tasked with stealing something back from the Yiga. They needed the Thunder Helm to get to Naboris, and the Yiga stole it, so it had to be stolen back. Prove yourself, she said. Ugh.
The Yiga pissed her off. And Kogah was a joke. That was all she wanted to comment about that matter.
Riju was more than happy to lead Link right into the storm, facing down the Divine Beast with prejudice. One more, then a few more shrines and the rest of her memories.
Urbosa, once saved from the most difficult of Blights (Link wasn’t bitter, shut up), had been very happy to see him. She smiled, and said she was proud of him, and mentioned how beautiful his wings would be when they came in. She asked him to look after Zelda. And then she sent him on his way.
Link had to blink back tears before Riju met up with him again. No one had said they were proud of him yet.
Riju caught on however, and then Link was dragged back to the streets of Gerudo Town until Riju had found something for her to wear on her wings. It was good.
Not long after that, Link went back to the scene of his death, trying to remember.
Rain, mud under foot, the princess behind him. Don’t stop, keep moving, keep her safe.
A whirring, followed by light.
Link raised his shield to block, the beam shattering the already flimsy wooden shield into splinters. He stumbled, slipping on the mud and falling to one knee. The Master Sword hit the dirt to balance him. He could hear Zelda speaking to him, but through the adrenaline and exhaustion there was very little that registered.
The beeping of a tracker locking on. Link forced himself to his feet, stumbling back. He was already injured, too injured to fight. His whole body ached, but still he stood. They would not get Zelda.
And then she was in front of him, and he opened his mouth to call out to her, but froze when he actually looked at her. A glowing triangle adorned her hand, and a golden light spilled out from her. Link watched, the pressure in his shoulder blades finally easing, just a bit.
He blinked hard once. Twice. He collapsed.
Words were hard to make out, but he could sense Zelda was worried. His last clear memory was her panicked expression as his eyes slipped shut.
Link gasped. The memory left him shaking, and he dropped to his knees. That was the day he died.
He took a day, just laid in bed in his house in Hateno. He needed it, to just decompress.
He got up the next morning, traveled to a stable and saddled up a horse, and then marched off to face Ganon.
Master sword in hand, his friends raining down covering fire for him, Link faced Calamity Ganon, Zelda’s voice ringing in his ears and mind.
The first half of the fight was hard, a drain on his body and what little energy he had left after fighting his way through the castle. And then he thought it was over. Ganon was gone.
He wasn’t.
Zelda called to him, warning him that Ganon had changed himself.
Link was standing in an empty field with his horse, a monster ten times any he’d ever faced before leering down at him.
This, Dark Beast Ganon was easily the size of a Divine Beast, but made of pure malice, and looking to kill him. More so than the Divine Beasts, that is.
Zelda gave him a bow, and arrows made of light, and told him to fire on the targets.
He did.
Mounting Epona, his dear horse Epona, and taking off around the monstrous boar, he drew back the string and aimed.
He ignored the tension in his shoulders and jaw, ignored how fluffed up and quivering his wings were, ignored the shaking of his hands. The only thing that mattered in that moment was his bow and the arrows and the monster he was aiming at.
One target, two, five. Link existed just to fight and shoot and dodge.
He wasn’t fast enough, the arrow flew, and it stuck, but Ganon got in a hit too.
All of Link’s air flew out of his lungs when he hit the ground, Epona whinnying and the sound of hooves thudding away from him.
He rolled, gritting his teeth, and struggling to his feet, left hand still wrapped tightly around the Bow of Light like a lifeline. He lifted his head and met the monster’s stare.
(Looking back, he’d say he felt the pressure. He’d say he felt the release. He’d say he could feel his wings come in. He's lying everytime he does.)
Flames licked at his skin and clothes and feathers, and the monster growled at him.
‘Link! Look up there!’
Link’s eyes traveled up to the glowing, golden point on the monster’s forehead. A target.
‘That’s the very core of Ganon’s being!’ Zelda coached in his mind, and Link nodded. ‘Do what you must, Link!’
Link struggled to his feet, spitting blood from where he’d bit his tongue, and faced the monster.
Ganon roared, charging him.
Link caught an updraft and went up, and how he gained the air without his paraglider was lost on him, though barely an afterthought as he drew back his bow.
Link aimed true, and loosed the arrow with the perfect accuracy he had come to be known for.
The shockwave it caused knocked him out of the air, greyish brown feathers obscuring his vision as he tumbled through the sky and back to the ground with a harsh thud.
It took him a minute to regain his breath, and shove the soft, strong wing covering him aside, before he got a look at Zelda.
She was almost exactly as he remembered her, only bathed in a glowing, golden light, and in possession of the most beautiful set of wings he’d ever seen.
The top half of her wings were a light blue, but the bottom half were pure white. The feathers closest to her back, her secondary and tertiary feathers, were longer than the rest and seemed to flutter behind her in the soft breeze that even still moved across the field.
Link could only see her back, and he was robbed of what little breath he had left.
For a moment, just a moment, he swore he was looking at Hylia herself.
He missed what happened in the moments that followed, still struggling to reorient himself and lost in the golden glow of the princess, but he got the important part. Ganon was gone. For good.
The light faded and Link’s senses returned one by one, the adrenaline crash would be brutal, but he utilized what still lingered in his system to push himself back to his feet, standing to face the princess, to face Zelda.
He missed the first few words she said, but he understood the last question clearly.
“Do you really remember me?”
Link couldn’t stop the stupid grin that stretched across his face. He nodded.
They crashed together, a mess of limbs and wings, blue and white and greyish brown feathers fluttering to the ground around them. Link held on tight, relieved to finally, finally, have a friend from before back, grateful to have not lost everything. Zelda likely was just glad to have something, someone, solid to hold on to after so long.
He denied being surprised when Zelda commented on his wings. He denied it then and will continue to deny it to his dying day. He knew they were there. Shut up.
Zelda took a picture for him, so he could see them. Greyish brown, with a long stripe of blue down the middle of the backside from shoulder to tip, and a soft orange starting at the base of his wings on the inside and fading into the rest as they went along.
“They look like a peregrine falcon,” Zelda commented once, sitting nearby as Impa and Paya ran fingers through their wings and preened for them.
Link had just hummed, content to let it be.
Now, he just had to convince her that throwing himself off a cliff was a perfectly reasonable way to learn how to fly...

Mipha Imagine:
You and Mipha have been together for a while, and then she has a surprise for you
Mipha x reader!
Warnings: none!
Tumblr media
Mipha was graceful, beautiful, royalty, and above all, kind and loving. Being with her was like being in a safe haven. When Mipha cares for someone, she truly cares, never once doubting that person. But today, she doubted herself.
Mipha was sitting on a waterfall ledge near the dam. A delicate cloth covered a small wrap of something. She had both of her hands sandwiched on the top and bottom of it. She caressed it gently. She hummed to herself, wondering if she could see you from the view she was currently at. And there you were.
You were currently with Link and the princess, talking to Mipha’s father. You were quite important to the royal family, and was busy almost every hour of every day. But, whenever you made time for Mipha was a joyous occasion.
Mipha carefully unwrapped the present, and gathered her supplies to begin sewing. When it was unwrapped, it reveled a beautiful chest piece, covered in scales and decorated it shining silver. That’s right, Mipha was planning to propose.
Her hands would gracefully glide across the surface of the armor, sewing scales into it. She then plucked one of her own and sewed it into the piece, a little trickle of blood coming from where she picked it.
Mipha was sure you would say yes, but how would she ever deal with it if you said no? Mipha had a bad habit of thinking of the worse case scenario. How heart broken would she be? How heart broken would Sidon be? Oh Sidon.. he adored you, any chance he would get he would play games with you and show you new tricks he had learned.
And another thing was, Calamity Ganon was said to awaken soon, and the princess had not yet discovers her sealing power. What if Mipha isn’t strong enough while fighting on her divine beast and you end up dying? Mipha shivered at the thought, Mipha couldn’t lose you, which is why she made a promise to Sidon that she would marry you. Maybe spending more time with the person she loves would give her good luck?
Either way, Mipha will propose and when or if you say yes, she will be forever happy until death.

Day 25 — Epilogue
"How do I look?" Zelda laid one hand on her waist and swayed her hips so that her long evening gown glittered in the dim light of the hotel room like water breaking on a cobble.
"Like a movie star." Link smiled through the mirror at her, adjusting his bow tie.
Zelda rolled her eyes until her lashes touched the skin of her eyelids. "I know you prefer me in a hoodie, but could you at least pretend to look?"
Chuckling, Link turned towards her and rested his hands over hers. His thumbs rubbed over the slick fabric and he pulled her closer, brushing his nose over her cheek until her skin tingled. "I love all of your facets, Zelda, no matter if you wear a hoodie, an evening gown, or those brown leggings. You know which."
A giggle escaped her when he breathed a kiss on the tip of her ear. Yes, she knew which. But what she tucked away in her heart was not a remark about her clothes, but that the word 'love' slipped out of his mouth again. They hadn't said the magic words yet, but they would, soon, she could sense it on the horizon with how often it cracked through their everyday language.
Now, Link nibbed on her earlobe and she sucked a breath in. "Stop that or we'll be late!"
Shrugging, he let go of her, but not before whispering in her ear, "You wanted me to look at you."
"Fair." She brushed not-existing dust from the shoulders of his dark blue suit and offered her hand so that they could finally go. "Nervous?"
Frowning, he met her gaze. "Because of the cake? I bake wedding cakes every weekend in the summer season."
"Not because of the cake, silly. Because of my family!"
"Ah, that. No. I just hope no one is going to be mad or something, I don't want to ruin the fun for Granté and Prima."
"I wrote +1 onto the answer." Zelda shrugged, knowing very well that this was not what he meant.
The elevator that brought them to the reception jingled and they walked over to the gardens.
"And you are sure that they don't know of me? Maybe Mipha has told Sidon."
"We'll see."
They rounded the corner and her father nearly dropped his champagne glass when he spotted them. With much effort, Zelda forced the rising giggle back into her stomach.
After the disaster that was the end of the holidays, Zelda had kept the interactions with her family short. Not only was she fed up with their questions and judgments, but she was too busy being happy with Link, too. They hadn't visited yet and with the first family event being Granté and Prima's wedding, the last her family knew was their… unfortunate departure.
It was difficult to say who received more incredulous looks, Zelda or Link. Zelda made her round of greetings with a big show of hugs and kisses while Link stuck to polite handshakes, hardly suppressing his grin. Robbie was too slow to hide the 'what' gesture he made towards Zelda's parents, but Zelda only shot him her best smile. Paya shook Link's hand as automatically as she rocked the empty baby buggy beside her—Sidon must be in the restroom, changing the diapers of the baby. Fortunately, Granté and Prima were too busy with the row of well-wishers to take a second look at them.
Very much in contrast to the rest of the family.
Beaming like the morning sun, Zelda took two glasses of champagne for them from a waiter while she waited for someone to say something. The distant jazz tune from the band on the other side of the garden remained the only sound until she clinked her glass with Link. Immediately, she took a large sip to avert her eyes from him—he was keeping it together even worse than her and if she looked at his flashing eyes and the twitching corners of his mouth a second longer, she might burst into laughter right here.
Since all eyes were on them anyway, she made a sweeping gesture. "You need to admire the wedding cake. I would say we've outdone ourselves, right, Link?"
"We?" He laughed.
"Oh, you hush! The Loftwing's eggs are the real star of the cake, you said that yourself." And most importantly, it had been the only task she managed to accomplish, but of course, Link would never hold the little tease against her.
"Is… is she doing it again?" Robbie's muffled voice carried over to them.
"Zelda?" her father asked, stroking his beard in confusion. "I thought… well, we all were under the impression…"
"That Link and I were only faking when we visited? Like I did with the others?"
Her parents exchanged a glance before her father cleared his throat. "Yes."
Link silently reached for her hand and squeezed, reassuring her. He had done so much in that regard for her and he had encouraged her to clear the air with her family, too. She took a breath and started.
"We were not together yet when we visited, but I can't say it was fake either." Link snorted and she shot him a quick smile. "I'm sorry about the rest. It was unfair to you all. You… you are all so incredibly successful that I found myself lacking."
"But Zelda, little bird, you are not!" her mother interrupted, grabbing her arm.
"I know that now, Link helped me a lot there. But sometimes it's hard to be around so many perfect people that I just… pretended to be perfect, too."
"You… felt compelled to lie to us." Her father rubbed his forehead and pressed his lips in a bitter smile.
Zelda grabbed both Link's hand and her glass harder. "I'm sorry. I never meant that it escalated like this, but it was so much pressure. Everybody is so successful or happily married or having cute babies—everybody has it together but me."
"Zelda." Paya's voice behind her was only a whisper. Zelda spun around, letting go of Link's hand. "Do you know the reason why we didn't invite everyone to see our daughter?"
Slowly, Zelda shook her head.
"I was dealing with postnatal depression. I didn't want to see anyone. It's been only a few weeks that I'm better."
"Oh." Zelda blinked her tears away. "I didn't know."
"Ah, and we…" Robbie scrunched his face. "We had marriage counseling a few years ago because Jerrin thought I'm still thinking of Che—well, we are over it now."
"You? But you two are always so…" Zelda shook her head.
"Ah," her father added, "and your mom and I fight—"
"Discuss!"
"—every evening how we can solve the problem that we don't have someone to take over the family company."
"Because I'm not able." Zelda tried to keep the bitterness out of her voice, but it was hard.
"No." Her father smiled softly at her. "Because you don't want to and we accept that you chose another path." He opened his arms for Zelda. "Come here, little bird. Nobody in this family is perfect and nobody has to. I'm not sure where we went wrong, but we'll fix that together."
The others murmured encouragement and for a moment Zelda just left everything in the embrace of her father—she could redo her eye makeup later.
“We'll stay overnight, maybe we can talk more tomorrow morning,” she mumbled into his massive frame when he patted her back.
“We will. Stop worrying, darling. To be honest, your mom and I were probably the last to realize that something is off. We just thought you couldn’t decide on a boyfriend before the others told us that you—well. It’s in the past now.” He finally released her. Clearing his throat, he turned and offered a handshake to Link who stood there, looking nowhere and everywhere at the same time. "Link was it, yes? I assume we didn't leave the best impression. I apologize."
"It's alright. We'll just start from here." Link smiled. Of course, he did because he was the most soft-hearted, understanding, and kindest boyfriend Zelda could have ever imagined.
"Very well." Her father smiled back and gestured towards the rest of the party where Robbie and the others had long strolled off to. "I believe there's a cake to show off?"
"Oh, yes, please explain everything to me, I’ve always been fascinated by the hidden meaning of all the figures," Zelda's mother declared and clapped her hands. "And you baked it, Zelda?"
Zelda chuckled when she interlaced her hand with Link's. "No. I helped. A tiny bit. I'll show you."
The cake had its own table even with a spotlight so that Zelda could already see it when they zigzagged through the other guests.
Patiently, Link explained the meaning of the figures that were carefully arranged on the levels of the cake. On top, of course, Hylia and her Hero in a dramatic pose symbolizing the everlasting love that was wished for the newlyweds. Just when Zelda took over to explain the Loftwing's eggs she had formed, Granté threw his arms on Link's and her shoulders from behind and popped his head between them.
"Hey, Zel! I heard the news from Paya!" Turning to Link he added, "I assume we owe the cake to you? No way Zel did a masterpiece like that."
"Ey!" Zelda poked him and laughed.
"What? It's true." Granté grinned. "Prima is obsessed with the cake. Good work, lad, it's not easy to impress her."
"You are welcome." Link smiled and to Zelda's relief, he seemed more at ease as he had been even in the best moments at her parent's house. Granté's grin grew and he let go of her to clasp Link's hand, leaning in to bump his shoulder into his.
"Guess I have to learn your name after all, huh? Link was it?"
"Yup."
"Welcome to this wonderful family, Link." He pulled him even closer so that Zelda could barely hear his next words. "And if you make Zel unhappy, I'm going to break your legs."
"Granté!" Zelda cried, half laughing, but Link only laughed too, gave Granté a fist bump on his shoulder and they released each other.
Without hesitation, Link snatched her wrist and tugged her in his arm, saying, "I wouldn't dare."
Already walking backward, Granté pointed his fingers at them—a gesture not unlike his father Robbie's trademark move—and exclaimed, "I like you. You can stay."
Zelda pulled Link in for a kiss and whispered, "I have no plans to let you go, anyway."
When she brought a little space between them, he shook with suppressed laughter. Frowning, she asked, "What?"
"That's good because I can't resistor you."
Hearing his silly robot pun, she tried to glare, but it didn't go well. "Stop pushing my buttons or I'll change my mind!"
Laughing, he kissed her. "You won't."
"No.” She smiled. “I won't."
