Here’s the full interview Amazing Heroes did with Steve Purcell, creator of Sam and Max. This is from April 1990, three years after some successful issues and two years before Bad Day on the Moon, which Purcell mentions here on “hoping to finish.” Featured here are Steve Purcell's experiences revolving his authorship of a Gumby and Pokey story, a cancelled Batman comic, meeting Sergio Aragones at then named CCAC, and, most importantly, the convoluted origins of fizzball.

Right from the first issue you have this obsessive, paranoid, psychotic detective working through a doomed America trying to find somebody who’s killed the Comedian.

Amazing Heroes No. 191, June 1991 featuring interviews with Brian Bolland and John Bolton. From memory they tried to get a third British artist for this (whose work would have featured in the third 'stripe' on the cover) but it didn't happen for whatever reason. Can't remember who it was, might have been Dave McKean.
