Here’s the full interview Amazing Heroes did with Steve Purcell, creator of Sam and Max. This is from April 1990, three years after some successful issues and two years before Bad Day on the Moon, which Purcell mentions here on “hoping to finish.” Featured here are Steve Purcell's experiences revolving his authorship of a Gumby and Pokey story, a cancelled Batman comic, meeting Sergio Aragones at then named CCAC, and, most importantly, the convoluted origins of fizzball.

Original art by Art Adams (penciler & inker), Al Gordon & Mike Mignola (inkers), and Petra Scotese (colourist). (Also Tom Orzechowski was the letterer but I didn’t reference it).

Savage Red Sonja #1 by Dan Panosian, Alessio Petillo and Francesco Segala. Cover by Panosian. Variant cover by Art Adams. Out in November.
"Prepare yourself for the savagery that can only Red Sonja can deliver in this brand-new series that harkens back to the classic era of Robert E. Howard's original pulp tales of swords and sorcery! Tasked with retrieving a long-hidden gem from a crumbled, ancient kingdom, the She-Devil With a Sword is traveling alone through a dangerous wasteland when fate intervenes, and her solo adventure is sidetracked by a wayward prince and his bride as they try desperately to escape from fearsome desert bandits – only to be attacked by a monstrous beast from beneath the sands! Don't miss out on this fast-paced tale of mystery, suspense, and the supernatural – written by comics superstar DAN PANOSIAN and illustrated by ALESSIO PETILLO, with colors by FRANCESCO SEGALA!"

Art Adams' page for the Forever People's entry in Who's Who? in the DC Universe.
The appearance of Beautiful Dreamer's and Big Bear's daughter, Maya, is from the six-issue 1988 mini-series, not on Jack Kirby's original series in 1971.
