hi love !! thank you for the request, i’m always taking them <3 i’ll make this just a sakusa one for you. though i’ll branch out and make some for the other boys, eventually.

warnings : it’s fluff :) post-timeskip sakusa , and semi-proofread !

it felt like forever for the day to end when you got home. you seen better days, but today just wasn’t one of them.

by the time you set foot indoors, you dropped your handbag to the wooden floors, a glass breaking into fragments reverberated the hallway. wish you had the energy to care for the nameless article that had broke within the carrier—

something to worry about later you dismiss dragging your feet down the hall, to the nearby bathroom where you stepped foot into the tub, fully clothed, shoes and all.

sakusa had mentioned earlier that he’ll be arriving later than usual because of the boys need for practice for an upcoming game. to the both your dismay, meant seeing each other less. in the meantime, you lean on the white tiled of the bathroom wall using it as a guide on your way down, taking seat on the floor, the clear rubber mat creating a comfortable cushion for you.

tugging your legs to your chest with the aid of your jeans and the crescents of your fingers pressing gently on the inner part of your ankle while your head made a home on top of the curve. it’s been a while since you sat in the tub, fully clothed to reflect on your day being that you had sakusa there who let you play with his fascinating black coils of his hair.

now you listen to the sound of the water droplets of the sink faucet just feet above you, making a plink noise as each one hits the dark porcelain base, failing to hold at the ring. you didn’t mind the sound, though, it had given you a kind of tranquility overtime. the silence around the nearby rooms of the apartment was even better— nothing to interrupt your thoughts.

it was until the front door from the other side of the wall opened with the click of the lock, the voice you knew too well registered in your ears, “y/n?”

you would reply with a strained, ‘ in the bathroom ’ before he headed just that way.

and there you sat, work attire still attached to your person, he leaned against the frame, bag slung across his shoulder and rested at his hip. he could tell something was wrong with you, either you don’t know how to correctly take a bath or, of course, didn’t have that good of a day.

“ i don’t think that’s how you take a bath,” he conversed after the intervals of silence give him an unsetting feeling in the pit of his stomach. even so, he pulls off the bag setting it on the floor outside the bathroom and his shoes atop of the bag. he tracked up the upon entering, cringing at his shoe design that melted into your smaller ones, “bad day?”

“yep,”

you phrased popping the p at the end of your singled response. you lifted your head following his figure as he sat on the opposite side of the tub. he seemed as if he was stuck in that position from the limited room he has to extend his sore legs. though he didn’t seem to mind it, “would you like to talk about it?”

the shake of your head was enough for the corner of his lips to tug downwards. he would usually pester you into giving in, particularly how he would when the two of you initially got together a few years back. but over that time, he learned that can be overwhelming for some— for him even, “okay, but if you want to. i’ll listen.”

he wasn’t sure if he— or you wanted to be in his arms or the other way around. so he does what he always do,

“would you like to play with my hair?”

and it gets you every time. a little grin replacing the frown that sported on your lips, nodding your head with it. he stands up, with lead of the his hands pressed to his knees before turning around, his back back pressed gently against your chest. your fingers happily meshing with his soft strands that always captivated you to see the pretty inconsistent curls.

he tries to keep his curls soft and coiled for you, knowing how you find it oddly entertaining to make pigtails and random braids that he has to discover on his wash days.

the player never seemed to mind, regardless of the hassle it was to pick at his hair with the end of one of your pointy combs, or when you put an unnatural amount of gel in his hair to slick it down. it made you happy, and as did it make him.

“can you get the gel and colorful rubber bands— oh the brush and comb too!"

once tsumu's hair gets too long, and he needs to re-dye (bleach?) his roots (something he does himself! imo anyway-), he asks you to help him

BUT I AM ALWAYS OPEN TO TALKING ABT ATSUMU SO ITS 1000% OKAY!! AND THIS ASK MADE ME HAPPY!!!!! Anything to talk abt my husband.

YES. he ABSOLUTELY would need help touching up his roots and actually!!! his s/o is the one who convinces him to (finally) go to a salon and get it done professionally!!! that’s why it looks better in the time skip, go us!!!

but before that: we would have music going and there’d be a supply trip to get his bleach and once, only once during the off season when he knew there wouldn’t be much press to do or public appearances, he lets you dye it a fun colour. the touch up sessions you guys have are always fun and soft and sweet.

and once he starts going to the salon to get it done professionally, he definitely complains after coming back about how he prefers you doing it for him :((
