Cells At Work x Reader Headcannons

PDA in public vs private

Characters: White blood cell, Red blood cell

❤️- read as romantic

WBC

- Shy boi ^_^

- Not lots of physical touch when you’re in public

- Partly because of other people, partly because he’s on the job

- Not to mention the blood from the viruses, he tries to get clean before seeing you

- Short hugs as a ‘hello’

- Otherwise he’ll get teased by his teammates

- In private there’s more touching

- He always asks before he goes in for more than a hug

- Doesn’t want to over step at all, therefore he asks for consent (as everyone should)

- He likes being poked?

- If you poke his nose or cheeks he’ll blush and smile at you -> pokes you back

RBC

- Will hug you lots

- If she’s not busy and see’s you while she’s walking, be prepared to get jumped

- Crashes into you in a hug, probably trips on the way but quickly catches herself

- Loves nose kisses and when you play with her hair

- Doesn’t care if people see

- She asks for kisses, rarely goes for one without asking first

- Gives you a bright smile when you give her one :)

- In private she’s a cuddle bug

- Will cuddle up so close and won’t let you go until she wakes up, you’ll be stuck there with her wrapped around you

Eosinophil : Koizumi (name starting with ko because : Kōsankyū

Basophil : Kohei (another name starting by ko because : Kōenkikyū)

Dendritic cell : Juichi (because Jujo saibou)

This is our awesome Cells at Work group that performed in the opening and closing ceremonies in Desucon 2022, Finland! 🩸 I’m AE3803 aka the red haired red blood cell.

The Cells On Stage team was led by me and the scenes were written by Myy (ponytailed white blood cell). Costumes were made/put together by the team – I myself handmade the red blood cells’ hats and the little lactic acid guy. 🐮 We planned the show for a few months and then had some remote script readings over Discord + four days of live practice in total + dress rehearsals on stage before the actual shows. The schedule was tight but we had just the right team to make it work. ❤️

In the first pic you may spot some of the little gags we hid in the show, some of which are probably only comprehensible for Finns :D

In the opening show, the cells were visited by a “BIG” and “TERRIFYING” “VIRUS” (aka a puny little vaccine, with a crown made out of a Corona beer case), which was later followed by an actual threat – you know who! Luckily the brave immune system cells knew just what to do to save the day! Especially the knightlike white blood cell U-1146... 😳💓

The closing show was more of a collection of humorous scenes from inside the human body as it survives through a convention weekend. Lots of chaos! But in the end, conventions make you happy, so they make your cells happy!
