here's a list of mozilla add-ons for all of you tumblrinas out there to have a better internet experience

also, if you like my post, please reblog it. Tumblr hates links but i had to put them so you adhd bitches actually download them <3 i know because i am also adhd bitches

BASIC STUFF:

AdGuard AdBlocker / uBlock Origin : adguard is a basic adblock and with origin you can also block any other element you want. for example i got rid of the shop menu on tumblr

Privacy Badger : this add on will block trackers. if an element contains a tracker it will give you the option to use it or not

Shinigami Eyes: this will highlight transphobic and trans friendly users and sites using different colors by using a moderated database. perfect to avoid terfs on any social media. i will explain how to use this and other add-ons on android as well under the read more cut

THINGS YOU TUMBLINAS WANT:

Xkit: the best tumblr related add on. with many customizable options, xkit not only enhances your experience from a visual standpoint, but provides some much needed accessibility tools

bonus: if you are into tf2 and wanna be a cool cat, you can also get the old version to add cool reblog icons

AO3 enhancer: some basic enhancements including reading time and the ability to block authors and tags

YOUTUBE

Return of the YouTube Dislike : pretty self explanatory

Youtube non-stop: gets rid of the annoying "Video paused. Continue watching?" popup when you have a video in the background

SponsorBlock: gives you options to skip either automatically or manually sponsors, videoclip non music sectors and discloses other type of sponsorships/paid partnerships

Enhancer for YouTube: adds some useful options such as custom play speed, let's you play videos in a window and most important of all, it allows you to make the youtube interface as ugly as your heart desires. I can't show a full image of what it looks like because i've been told its eye strainy and i want this post to be accessible but look at this <3

PocketTube: allows you to organize your subscriptions into groups

YouTube Comment Search: what it says

FINDING STUFF

WayBack Machine: you probably know about this site and definitely should get the add on. this allows you to save pages and access older versions with the click of a button. while you can search wayback using web archives, please get this one as well as it allows you to easily save pages and contribute to the archive.

Web Archives: it allows you to search through multiple archives and search engines including WayBack Machine, Google, Yandex and more.

Search by Image: allows you to reverse image search using multiple search engines (in my experience yandex tends to yield the best results)

Image Search Options: similar to the last one

this next section is pretty niche but... STEAM AND STEAM TRADING

SteamDB: adds some interesting and useful statistics

Augmented Steam: useful info specially for browsing and buying games

TF2 Trade Helper: an absolute godsend, lets you add items in bundles, keeps track of your keys and metal and your recent trades, displays links to the backpack tf page next to users profiles and more. look it tells me how much moneys i have and adds metal to trades without clicking one by one oh may god

IN CONCLUSION: oooooh you want to change to firefox so badly, you want to delete chrome and all the chrome clones that are actually just spyware and use firefox

HOW TO USE MOZILLA ADD-ONS ON YOUR PHONE

if you already use firefox on android, you'll know there are certain add-ons compatible with the app, some of them even being made just for the mobile version such as Video Background Play FIx. while most of them are pretty useful, some more specific ones aren't available on this version of the browser, but there's a way of getting some of them to work

you need to download the firefox nightly app, which is basically the same as the regular firefox browser but with the ability of activating developer mode. you can find how to do that here. once you've enabled it, you need to create a collection with all the add ons you want. i wouldn't recommend adding extensions if the creators haven't talked about phone compatibility, but XKit and Shinigami Eyes should work

also, don't tell the government this secret skater move, but you can try using both the regular firefox browser and nightly so you can have youtube videos in a floating box while you browse social media.

If you have autism, ADHD AuDHD, depression, anxiety, OCD anything that causes you executive dysfunction where you feel overwhelmed by tasks and don't know where to start I need you to stop and read this because this website is about to change your life.

It is called goblin.tools and it is completely free and I believe it is life changing.

So this magic todo taskmaker is amazing. You can give it any kind of task you need to do and it will break it up into easy to understand, manageable, and accomplishable steps, (that you can then check off the list which probably my favorite part) like cleaning your room, making coffee, etc

In this example below I put the Magic ToDo Task as "take a shower" (but it can be any task)

Here is the lowest spicy take (aka not broken down into many steps)

And here is the highest spicy level (where the tasks are broken into many easily managable step that will tell you exactly what to do)

Any parts of this you feel like didn't give you enough steps? Need more clarity? No problem! Any step you can edit or break it into even smaller steps!

Let's say you are have a foggy brain day and need more instructions for washing your hair, here you go!

Legitimately it can break down any task, making them so much more approachable and manageable.

And if this incredibly cool task helper thing wasn't enough for you, the website has five other functions

A feature that adjusts the tone of your text, allowing for a more professional or sarcastic expression, ideal for business emails.

An emotion detection tool, which helps interpret the emotional content of a text, identifying anger, frustration, or other sentiments to clarify communication misunderstandings. (I think this feature could help a lot of autistic people SO much)

A function that estimates the time required for various activities, such as making the bed, providing practical scheduling help

There is an entire *insanely* cool cooking function (I am gonna have to make a post about that)

Something called the "Compiler"? I honestly don't get it. It says "Compile my braindump into a list of tasks" (so if someone figures that out please let me know)

And since it is tax season under the cut are the steps it gives you for filing your taxes on the lowest and highest task breakdown levels! :)

Here's what Brennan and a lot of us don't get about Kristen

Kipperlily Copperfuck was always meant to be Riz's rival, each of the Rat grinders is a perfect carbon copy of the bad kids and as such they were meant as narrative foils for each character respectively.

But here's the thing, it would have been incredibly boring if it had gone to plan.

Kristen is fundamentally over Helio and Sol. By the sheer force of her power as a cleric she is beyond that, as Kristen says in this episode "If you meet that man, you will know that it's a comedy of errors, how he became a god".

She saw Sol fall out of the sky, saw the absolute hypocrisy of his faith and of the gods, and deeply and keenly understood the fabric of the universe when it comes to deities and their clerics.

She is so beyond being Sol's little helper/Helio's chosen. It makes perfect sense that her arc right now is that of an ADHD kid who used to be good at one thing in school, and now it's not enough anymore.

Kristen's arc this season is about being off the rails (literally as an ADHD kid with no structure in place for them) and her natural enemy can only be a type A perfect schemer with plots and threads so deep that you can only go how tf if kipperfish wahtsherface even fucking relevant, what is her fucking deal.

They were born to be natural enemies and for anyone who thought Buddy was gonna be more suited for that they underestimated Kristen as a cleric

I have pretty severe ADHD and forget a LOT of things, and lately my beloved klefki has taken it upon herself to make sure I never forget my keys and work lanyard. She's a darling but I've been wondering if I can get her to carry things like my pill bottle as well to make sure I remember them. Whats the weight limit on a klefki?

i hate to break it to you, but a klefki probably isnt going to help with anything that isn't a key. i don't recommend putting your meds onto a keyring for your klefki to carry around either, as that's asking for them to get lost. your klefki sounds like a great helper! but you might want to try putting some reminder alarms on your phone instead or train yourself to check for your meds. you could potentially put a key with a tag that says "meds" on it and see if she'll carry it!

Presents as a being made of burning eyes, infinite wheels, and prismatic rainbow flame. Mostly dry, direct, emotionless. Gives amazing advice despite how much that advice hurts. Doesn't understand the messy condition of humanity. Sees the big picture. Claims to be a cosmological figure and not mortal in origin. Is very personally annoying to me, the host, who just wants to be a people. Will come out if host/my safety is threatened in some way. Or to give advice to others…although who the advice is given to and when is completely unpredictable.

🔪 The Author's Pen 🔪

Arguably as old as Aestriel; although stood in the background for quite some time until more recently. 2nd member of the system. Holds the role of Persecutor and Memory-Holder. Was formed as a direct response to hardship sustained while being homeless and emotional abuse. Presents as a being made of black ink, gnashing teeth, blood, and the sharp edge of a quill or sword. Antagonistic, manipulative, acutely socially aware, and willing to put itself before anything else. Interesting conversationalist but proceed with caution. Would rather delve into hedonism than uphold the moral stand that Aestriel or Host does. Just wants to see a reaction. Comes out more frequently than Aestriel and even upon request, although insists that upon some kind of compensation in return. Also gives advice, mostly bad. Less unpredictable, though. Claims to love humanity, is some kind of abomination formed when the first word of the first language was uttered.

Other important details: Would highly recommend that you do not talk to Pen. If it ever decides to pop out, that is. I try to keep it away from anyone else but myself.

FFVII as School Kids:

Cloud: Really good at sports, average grades. Has a couple friends he really likes & sticks to them.

Zack: Class clown, he means well but drives the teacher nuts with the ADHD. Always talking, always excited, tries his best but not great at following instructions.

Tifa: Future prom queen, class president, gets good grades, etc. Knows everybody, liked by everybody, basically a tiny adult. Teacher’s aid.

Yuffie: Same as Zack who she is no longer allowed to sit next to, she’s there to play sports & have fun & sees the school part of school as this annoying suggestion rather than an actual obligation.

Aerith: The class space cadet. Surprisingly smart but it’s clear if nobody were literally forcing her to be there she’d be outside staring at the sky & talking to grass or something. Perks up during art & sing along.

Vincent: The class artiste. Has depressing books, wears black every day & probably plays piano or something. He spends his time with Cloud & Tifa.

Barrett: Class helper, Barrett’s another student athlete. His grades can slip from time to time but interestingly he’s also always helping everybody else get their assignments done.

Sephiroth: The teacher’s pet. Talking during the lecture, Sephiroth is tattling. Teacher forgot to collect the assignment? He’s reminding them. Teacher got a question wrong? “Actually miss the answer is 47, not 50”.

He used to get picked on it for it but when his peers figured out he wouldn’t be stopped they started bribing him instead. He’s best friends with Barrett in this scenario. He stopped telling on Aerith after he accidentally reduced her to tears for pointing out she forgot her (finished) homework for the third day in a row.

Cid: The kid who is busy doing life & has that one specialized interest he’s really good at. Whenever they have to build a diorama or class project his is always absolutely amazing. Could probably put together a functional vehicle by himself.

Book of Hours is the perfect ADHD game because you can plan to upgrade a skill so you set up these books to read and while they're reading you can try and craft something new using a memory you have left over; and then oh hey the helper you can hire for the day has the right aspects so you start exalting them with your soul and planning what to feed them and what tool to give them; and then those books are done so you have the memories to level the skill so you can start that going; and then is there a book you can read while waiting for the helper to be ready? start that as well; and you've got some health left over, may as well harvest a flower; wait where did my chor go? oh yeah I was crafting something with it; oh the helper is done, go unlock a room; oh sick a new desk!

And then six hours have passed while you're in hyper-focus managing all these tasks. It's incredible.

summary: the one where daisy returns to camp from college and is blinded by her love for him, even as the world ends

The next day, Percy woke up with a jolt after his nightmare. When he looked around, he noticed that the boy from yesterday, Luke, was watching.

He scrambled up, feeling the embarrassment flush over him as he realised that everyone had seen his moment.

"You alright?" Luke asked, holding a hand out and helping the boy up.

"Super," he said sarcastically, brushing his hands on his clothes.

"We all have them you know. Intense recurring nightmares. And the daydreams, and the ADHD and dyslexia. Demigods just process things differently," he explained.

Percy instantly felt at ease with this boy but was still unsure whether Daisy trusted him or not. If she did, then he knew he was okay.

"So are you also?" Percy tried to ask him whether he had a parent or not here, but didn't know how to phrase it, "Do you not know who-"

He chuckled a little at the boys confusion, "Am I unclaimed? No, Hermes is my father but that doesn't matter. We're all on the same team here,"

Percy scoffed. There was this anger bubbling up inside of him at the unfairness of the way that the gods could just ignore their children.

"Why is that okay? Why do they bring us here to ignore some of us?" He questioned.

Lukes face lit up. This was perfect. Percy was perfect and his raw hatred to the Gods was going to help his cause more than he knew.

"If you spend too much time trying to figure out why the Gods do whay they do and you'll drive yourself mad," he said, a smile on his face.

They were silent for a second, neither knew what to do. Percy was supposed to have his tour but his your guide had not yet arrived.

"Luckily you got here for summer which means our resident newby helper is back here to visit," Luke explained, "We'll show you around and tell you what camp has to offer,"

"What's that?" He asked, still not sure what the purpose of camp was or what he could gain from it.

That smirk grew on Lukes face again, "Glory,"

Percy let that sink in for a second, wondering how a camp could bring him glory before he realised that someone was going to be helping Luke to show him around, "Who will be leading us round?"

"She was the medic who looked after you, Desdemona Valance. Most beautiful woman in all of New York," he said with a lovesick expression.

Percys face scrunched up in confusion. He had noticed some tension between them and had assumed it was anger, maybe it was just love.

"She didn't seem like she liked you too much yesterday," he said, folding his arms across his chest.

He laughed, finding it funny that Percy thought that, "Don't you worry kid, she likes me plenty," he promised.

He knew Daisy had walked in by the way that everyone clambered to say hello to her but she just said her hellos and good mornings and walked over to see Luke and Percy.

"Just in time pretty girl," he admired her for a second, long hair tied up with a bow in the back before he looked at Percy, "You remember Daisy,"

Of course he remembered her. He had only felt safe around one person so far and that was her.

"You better watch your mouth Castellan, you keep calling me pretty and I'll get an ego," she teased.

He scoffed, the smile on his face growing, "Apollo kids always have an ego,"

They seemed to be in their own world, not paying attention to anyone else. The older boy tapped his cheek.

She sighed at his antics, trying to hide her smile but it was obvious on her face.

Daisy leaned over, pressing a kiss to his cheek. Luke placed two fingers on the underside of her jaw, maneuvering her so he could press a kiss to her lips.

"Oh," Percy said as he realised that they were dating, now it all made sense.

Daisy blushed, having forgotten that the boy was there. Luke, however, knew he whole time.

"See, she likes me plenty," he stated, an arm wrapping around her waist.

Daisy said her good mornings to Percy before jumping straight into her job, "So, what has Luke been filling your head with?

"Glory," he stated.

She scoffed, looking at him. She knew what he wanted to do, she knew exactly what she saw in Percy and it made that bitter feeling grow in her stomach.

Daisy shrugged it off, hoping that her instincts were wrong as she gestured for them to walk out of the cabin with her.

Luke seemed excited as he explained the concept of Glory to him, molding the boy as he needed, "Demigods have always fought for Glory. They used to call it Kleos, its like this stuff that attaches itself to your name and makes it more important,"

Percy seemed eager to soak up the older boys information, watching him as they walked.

"People listen when you talk, they work harder to be your friend and they think twice before messing with you," he explained.

They crossed paths with Clarisse and her group of friends, the former of which purposefully bumping into Percy.

He was knocked to the ground and she looked at him, turning her nose up.

"Knock it off Clarise, it's his first day," Luke said, almost squaring up to her.

Daisy leaned down, holding her hand out and helping Percy up. He shrunk back, feeling safe in between Daisy and Luke.

"So this is the kid who killed the minotaur," Clarisse said, eyeing Percy up like he was a prey and she was the predator.

"Yeah?" The boy said, trying not to sound too timid.

"You want attention around here, better be ready for it when it comes," she walked off after that comment, her and her group laughing to themselves.

He scoffed, watching her ealk away, "Well she seems nice. Why don't they mess with you two?"

Daisy and Luke shared a knowing look. It was something the new kid would have to get used to, the way that the couple could almost read each others minds.

"They know better," Percy said.

Chris saw the altercation and had rushed over, standing at Lukes side, a hand on his shoulder.

"Luke is the strongest swordsman in camp. Daisy is the best archer and the best medic," he explained.

Percy looked at him. For the first time in his life he had become friends with the popular kids, the people that nobody dared to mess with.

"They leave you two alone because of Glory?" It was almost a rhetorical question and Daisy could see the cogs turning in his head, "People think you're a big deal,"

He was silent for a moment, almost like he was thinking about Glory. This was the way to get his father to notice him, for him to finally confront him.

"Where do we start?" Percy said after a while.

"Archery, my specialist subject," she said before she started to walk up the hill.

The kid finally managed to get a good look at camp. He saw the vast expanses of the strawberry fields and the pegasi as they walked around with the Demeter kids.

He also saw Glory in action. Everyone was nice to Daisy and Luke, saying hello and complimenting them. Some stayed clear of them, eyeing them suspiciously.

Percy knew he had found the good ones and he wasn't going to be leaving any time soon.

When they arrived at the top of the hill, the Archery section was mostly full of other Apollo kids.

"A good source of Glory are feats of skill, so we gotta figure out what you're good at," Daisy explained before saying hello to a few people.

"Watch her do this," Luke whispered to Percy as they watched her grab her specific bow.

She lined herself up against the target and took a shot and they all watched as it hit the bullseye. She shot another arrow out and it hit the same target, splitting the previous arrow in half.

She turned around and looked at the duo, her bow still aimed at the target. She hit it again, slightly higher this time so she didn't split the arrow a third time.

She put the bow down at her feet and everyone cheered. This was her glory, her special skill.

"Thats my girl," Luke cheered, pulling her in for a hug.

She pulled back so just his arm was wrapped around her waist. She picked up the bow, handing it to him.

"You try kid," he looked at the bow, clearly a little hesitant.

He positioned the bow, trying to replicate what she had done but he didnt shoot very well.

Instead, the arrow bounced back and started to bounce through the crowd of people.

Luke pulled her back, both of them ducking as they tried to avoid his aim.

"Should I try again?" Percy asked sheepishly.

She shook her hand, giving him a sympathetic smile, "Definitely not Apollo," she said as they took the bow back.

"Lets try another one," Luke suggested.

From there, they walked to the nearest cabin and their workstation which was just across the hill in the Hephestaus cabin workshop.

"Hey Jake, got a new kid," Luke said and Jake took a step back from the anvil, handing Percy his goggles.

Percy tried to hammer the hot metal, focusing all of his energy onto it. They watched, arms crossed as he tried his hardest.

Instead, the broken piece of metal shot out across the room and this time, it was Daisy who pulled him back so he wasn't hit by the flaming metal.

Percy looked at them as he pulled the goggles off. He felt awkward, and like he was disappointing his new friends.

"Lets have lunch," Daisy suggested, placing a hand on the kids shoulder before they walked away.

She wanted to take some pressure off of him. Glory would find him eventually, he just had to wait for it a little bit.

They entered the clearing and luke lead the way into the mess hall where all the other demigods were sat eating their lunch.

He walked over to the table where Nina was sitting alone and after grabbing food for everyone, they sat down at the table.

"Percy, this is my friend Nina, daughter of Demeter. Nina, this is Percy," she introduced as they sat down.

"Is there a Greek god of disappointment because maybe you should ask him if he's missing a kid," Percy said, defeatist.

Daisy remembered waiting only about four hours before her dad claimed her as his, but that was very common for Apollo kids.

She couldn't imagine the turmoil the boy must be going through seeing as it had already been a day since he joined.

"Oizys, but she's a goddess and her whole thing is more like failure," Chris said as he walked over, sitting down next to Nina

"You're cheery," Nina quipped, rolling her eyes at his comment.

"We'll find what you're good at, I know it," Daisy promised.

He gave her a half hearted smile, clearly upset and angry at the fact that his dad didnt want to claim him.

She watched the cogs in Lukes head turn. She knew he wanted to say something spiteful about the Gods but before he could, the bell went.

"Our turn," Nina said.

Almost like they were under some sort of spell, they all got up with their plates of food and started to approach the fire.

Percy looked at them confused, watching people scrape bits of food off of their plates.

"Is the food here really that bad?" He asked.

"Burnt offering. The Gods like smell so you say it before a prayer," Chris explained and Percy stood up.

"They like the smell of burnt mac and cheese?" He questioned, still confused about all the rituals of this place.

"They like the smell of begging," Luke stated.

As they scraped their food into the fire, Daisy looked at Luke. There was a strange and michevious glint in his eye.

She knew that this wasn't going to end well and her heart sank in her chest. She had to save Percy.
