Finally got my latest 24-hour comic scanned and online... as well as my previous year’s comic, which I’d actually scanned and formatted and even uploaded but for some reason never got around to actually making available.

And finally... Page 6 which makes it so that I did...1/4 of the challenge? At least in the lineart form!
When I hit the 28 pages with the storyboard for this challenge, I knew that I wouldn't really get that amount of pages completed >:'3 Then again, I did enter into this challenge with an open mind so... I am honestly not mad that I didn't get any further than this!
When I woke up during my sleep I decided that if I can line up to page 6, I will feel achieved regardless! And I did... So I am really happy and proud about that ^^ What I learned from this challenge was that I perhaps could be looser with my lineart phase :'3
This was fun and if Vilu is down to it, perhaps next year we'll do this again!

i think it's funny that Death Note here in estonia is considered "often peoples first manga/anime" bc when the anime was new, that's when anime and manga hit their larger popularity here, but to me who started with Doraemon and Dragonball in the 90s, it seems like such a new series haha xD
(funny coincidence that all of these start with a D haha)

This past weekend I participated in “24 Hour Comics Day”, a very real event in which participants have 24 hours to write and draw a 24-page comic book. No planning ahead is allowed, which hopefully explains why some of the panels look the way that they do.
Hulk Want Pumpkin Spice is the sequel to my 24 hour comic from last year, Hulk Want Fast Food. This series stems from my deep desire to see a sad indie comic version of the Incredible Hulk. This installment is inspired by my interest in new COVID-19 themed fictional media (so this might age very poorly, since I made it in October 2020). Will the 2021 issue also be COVID themed? I hope not.
If you enjoyed this comic and are frustrated the world right now and also are a US citizen, like, obviously please vote for Biden if you are able (🙄) [edit: I regret saying that] but more importantly, consider donating to your local mutual aid network to directly help communities in need.
(Also, I do not own Hulk or Iron Man and this comic is obviously in no way associated with Disney or Marvel.)

So, once again this year I participated in 24-Hour Comics Day... and for the first and hopefully last time I was not able to do it in a physical host location. (More on that later.) I did, however, still do it in a group setting of sorts, because I was in a 24-Hour Comics Day Zoom meeting hosted by 7000 BC, a comic store in New Mexico. (Were there not closer locations hosting this year? No. No there were not. Again, more on that later.)
I’ll scan the whole comic later and put it online, but in the meantime here’s the first page of my newest 24-hour comic. (Most of the pages are not, of course, nearly this elaborate; since this was a big splash page, I spent more time on this page than on any other page in the comic.)

24 HOUR COMIC DAY PAGE 3 of 3
I made a comic reflecting on some old feelings about my childhood. It’s kind of a bummer and I apologize for how small my handwriting is (I need to invest in a scanner lol) but it felt good to air this stuff out. It kinda has a happy ending LOL!
MATERIALS USED: Absolutely Terrible Paper That Bled Everywhere And I’m Still Mad About It (Arttec A4 Como Sketch Pad, Suitable for Watercolor & Ink My White Ass), assorted dip pens and watercolor brushes, Winsor & Newton Black India Ink, Dr. Ph. Martin Red India Ink, General’s Layout Pencil 555 for the sketching, Pentel Hybrid Technica for the lettering.
