do we have any information on the approximate dates or year that TMA takes place in? I’m obsessed with timelines and I’m so curious about if those dates are Known or not or can only be guessed about
yes we do! some parts of the timeline are a little vague, but every live and "in situ" statement (with a few exceptions) has a date attached to it. I won't go through every known date, and I'm also not scrupulously checking to make sure I've copied all these numbers down correctly so there's probably an error or two in here, but some significant ones include:

ancient bylers would be so disappointed with us knowing some of us lose hope so easy.
imagine going back in time and telling a 2017 byeler full of doubts that in 2023:
- the cast and the writers are acknowledging byler in interviews and online comments, and they don't make fun of the ship nor its shippers;
- byler is treated somewhat as a possibility, and some actors even ship it or make ambiguous comments about it;
- byler was marketed during the pride month by noah schnapp (who came out as gay recently) and some netflix side accounts;
- byler was used as leverage in a writers strike, and one of them posted a "byler won't write itself" sign on tumblr;
- byler's popularity skyrocketed so much that the byler tag is more than 150x bigger than it was before s4 was released;
- will is 100% confirmed gay and in love with mike;
- mike and el were having relationship problems, and will's veiled feelings were what helped mike to feel better about himself and feel more secure in his own relationship;
- we're going to the last season with a chekhov's gun in our favor (the painting lie).

Seriously, Trailer warning. The Trailer they just dropped is almost offensively stuffed
I'll only talk about it under "read more" because I genuinely think they just straight up gave the entire ending away. So what I'm about to point out and talk about kinda feels like leaks even though they are absolutely not. Its a damn official trailer :/

The trailer end with this.
That's civilian Marinette seemingly frozen right in front of civilian Gabriel while he is 100% making his wish right now.
It's pink and green, Tikki and Plagg, what else is it supposed to be?
The trailer also shows Marinette seemingly finding everything out and wearing both the Ladybug and the Black Cat miraculous' at the same time after Adrien gave it up in London, which we know because they also show Plagg flying away with the miraculous by himself
which automatically turns Marinette into a two-in-one kill if Gabriel gets her, which he apparently DID. Ladybug NEEDED Chat Noir.
And on top of that they also show that Gabriel is Nathalie's nightmare but she's too weak to stop him now. He literally SAYS it.
So unless Alya, the Resistance and Félix aren't suddenly waltzing in last second to steal Marinette's, Adrien's and Nathalie's job by defeating Gabriel for them and stopping him at THIS crossroad of destiny everything lead up to
Then we are fucked. Gabriel wins and they just revealed it all in one damn trailer.
I mean, don't get me wrong, the writing has been on the wall for the last 2 seasons - especially season 5 which was pretty much dedicated to Gabriel himself while serving as a second season 1 - so yeah, everything going to hell and Gabriel winning was pretty much the expected s5 ending now since it's been painfully obvious for quite a while already that ever since s4 we haven't been leading up to the original ending of Miraculous anymore.
Miraculous has been a global phenomenon for years on end. They have been talking about 6 season and more of story to tell since before season 2 even started airing.
As you can see, the tweet is from the 25th of September in 2016. And 2x01 "The Collector" had it's World Premiere on 21th of October in 2017. That's a whole year later!
YES, even though animated shows takes years of development in advance to get done, they absolutely had the damn time to make one more (at the very least ROUGH) concept for season 4 and 5 that follows the same story skeleton of the initial s4 and 5 while keep every episode mostly the same besides adjusting the executions of story and character arcs so it doesnt end with season 5. Meaning all that happened is that on paper there were two versions of season 4 and season 5, which would also explain what the hell is up with the leaked bible.
One s4+5 execution for the case that it stops here as it was planned and the other one for when the story is supposed to continue which is now happening. So S6 onwards can continue what these 2 seasons left out. Which is alot. A fuck ton of a lot in case you didnt notice it by now.
I figured as much about half way through season 5. The only thing that's makes me angry now is that they are giving this much away in the trailer. Since the way the trailer shows Gabriel as the main character is only continuing what all of season 4 and especially 5 have been doing all along. Leading up to Gabriel's victory and the consequences of everything our heros - and everyone else too in the show - never took care of for 5 damn seasons. Which is also a fuck ton of a LOT.
I would be more surprised if he didn't win now and S6 onwards isn't getting out of Gabriel's wish reality. That's all the show (and Ladynoir in particular) have been leading up to for quite a long time already.

and finally, what does fandom mean to you? oh my god. fandom has always been something of an escape for me? i joined the riverdale fandom in a pretty rough spot, and it was such a fun and sweet way to disconnect from all of that. despite the Stupid of that show, i had so much fun. but now... it's still an escape. it's still a way to turn off the world and mess around and have fun. but it's also a way to learn and express myself and try new things and feel brave? it's a way to create in a way i never thought i could??? it's a community of kindred spirits. this fandom in particular has infused my life with so much color. it has given me my best friends. the tumblr table at my wedding is REAL and it will be the most fun table IMO. my life was very different before these folks came around, and fandom is 100% responsible for that. *clears throat, wipes away tears* anyways. fandom is cool.

I think Bob's first scene is about Hopper and the prequel.
Agent Orange ruined Hopper's life, sot it's not even color theory. He is associated with that color in many scenes. Including this one.
The first thing Bob says in the show: 'I'm not a big fan of orange'. Back in 2017 we didn't know about Agent Orange, but now we do! This is hilarious
In this scene Bob mentions high school and says that he feels like a teenager. So, this is connected to 1959. Also, Hopper calls him Bob the Brain (old habit, he says) and I'm sure he started when they were kids. So I get that Bob is not a big fan of him.
By the way, it's curious that Bob is a main character in the prequel, but Jon and Will's father, who's still alive, is not. Who follows my blog knows my theory about Hopper and Lonnie. It's like there were three boys who liked Joyce, but the only one Joyce didn't date is the boy she actually loves. Unless... she did date Hopper at some point (original timeline?) and maybe even had two kids with him, but the lab and/or a time loop separated their family. And now we only know about her relationship with the other two guys.
But who knows, this could be a Lily and James Potter situation, in which Joyce didn't want to be with Hopper when she was young, but then fell in love with him.
Shippingfangirl013 and I also noticed that many details here are hints about S4.
California, Open Close, two Lady Victoria, Gas Lite (Gaslight), Christmas (It's like the christmas lights. When Will was in the UD lights came to life), the word Rich (probably a reference to Richard Brenner) and the number 100 (001)
Here Bob points to the pumpkin basket, but it seems that he's pointing to the two 10s. And there's also a 10 behind him. My theory is that 10, including the lab kid, actually represents 01.
There are so many references to dark reflections and mirrors in the show, so maybe 10 and 01 represent two timelines, and one is the dark reflection of the other. In another scene, when Bob mentions high school again, we see the number 40 on the door, but reverse: 04. Imo, a reference to the members of the Hopper family: Jim, Joyce, Will and Jane. Yeah, unfortunately, I think Jon is really Lonnie's kid. That's why they always says that he's good at taking care of himself. That he feels like he's alone
So yeah, I think that Ten represents 01 and that's why they've been mentioning that number since the very first episode, connecting it to 11 and 12. Because it's always been about Henry/Edward, Eleven and Will.

Maybe this is why Ten seemed so important in the trailers and in 4x01. For months I wondered why they focused so much on that kid.
He's not important, after the first scene he never speaks again. Then I remembered that this is what I thought about 13 and 12. They don't seem important, but for some reason they're included in many shots with El and Henry. So 13 could be a reference to Fringe's character Olivia, who is Subject 13 (here the post about 13 and Byler), 12 represents Will, and Ten represents 01. Another possible hint: the first thing Brenner says to Ten is that the Magic 8 Ball is his favorite toy. 8->Kali, who is mentioned by Henry, and made Axel see black spiders.
Working on this theory. There's a lot to say!

now that our dear show is over, i’ve been thinking about grace and frankie as a complete series, and grace/frankie within it. so here’s some messy musings about how their relationship was portrayed throughout the seasons!
i get the sense that seasons one and two really built to that authentic queer* energy between them that was absolutely crackling and on fire by season three. and i don’t think the writers really thought about it consciously as a not-straight dynamic (as far as i can tell), it’s just what grace and frankie’s relationship dynamic organically became, especially because they were always juxtaposed with an actual gay couple.
then the writers became AWARE that people were shipping it hard in the hiatus between s3 and s4, and as a result i think s4 and s5 shied away from quite portraying the intensity of that energy in quite the same way, though by the end of s5 it’s definitely back in business. then with seasons six and seven, it absolutely felt like the show returned to that same energy as season three after taking a few seasons off, like the writing regained its confidence in going “no, you know what, actually? this is what their relationship is.” which, yay! and also, just a fascinating journey to have witnessed in real time over the past handful of years!
i also find it fascinating how nick functioned so consistently and completely as a tool (er, no offense, buddy!) for demonstrating the importance and incomparable specialness of grace/frankie. nick was around for a long time and somehow wound up ultimately being exactly what we the grace/frankie shippy audience hoped for him to be. the way that the show handled nick felt exactly how fanfic handled nick -- we were in consensus with the show one hundred percent somehow, in terms of how he made grace lose herself in the role of wife in a way she hated and how he was increasingly agonizingly aware that she loved frankie more??? -- which felt absolutely WILD to watch happen with my own two eyes. like, grace was attracted to and very fond of nick but she was in love with frankie and nick was almost a way for her to try to run away from how much she loved frankie and that was the literal situation!
anyway. man. what a time we’ve had since the spring of 2017!!!! i really love where we wound up. once i thought that nothing could ever be as good as the balloon scene at the end of s3 in terms of capturing that grace/frankie energy, but i think this season matched and maybe even exceeded it. i can’t really think of anything i would have wanted more from 7b and the finale -- except, like, sure, it would have been cool if they’d kissed and therefore gone to canon town, but i absolutely 100% did not expect that and in fact did not expect the ending to feel nearly as unabashedly intimate and romantic as it did.
* (i feel like “queer” is the best term i can land on for it because i think there are a lot of ways you could interpret where grace and frankie wind up together -- queerplatonic partners? romantically in love with each other? sexually in love with each other and they definitely hooked up as the credits rolled in “the last hurrah”?? -- but whatever it is, it doesn’t really feel like it fits within the heteronormative bubble. not that i don’t think you can have a love this fierce with a best friend, because of course you can, but i just feel like the way the show is writing them and depicting this relationship is ... different/not heterosexual and not platonic in the common understanding of the word.)
anyway. i’m just so happy that it really felt like their relationship returned to the emotional intensity that it had during the halcyon s3 days when we were all having perhaps the most fun of all during this show’s run! it has provided some eternal good vibes for my grace and frankie fangirl heart. <3

Somebody asked me about my favorite BL series and I wanted to make a list but then I thought it’d be more useful to make a list of series I recommend with LGTBIQ+ characters because in some cases they aren’t one of the main characters, or their love story/story happens just in one of the seasons or in individual episodes. If you want more details about any show or you just have any questions, you can always ask me in the chat where I’ll be happy to answer.
I had some doubts about including certain Asian series but I finally decided to add them if I have given them at least 7 out of 10 stars on MyDramaList because even if they could be improved, I think they still have some enjoyable elements and they are worth checking out.

Ok I needed to make this post so I can make a gathering of all I've watched now since December.
I basically split them into two categories.
New season(s) & Hiatus (for me, not the anime, basically, where I left off many a year ago)
I basically stopped watching anime in 2017/2018. I was a little burnt out bc anime became a chore and 2018 was a v busy year. I finished the bulk of whatever animes happened to be airing at the time (as most are 12 eps in total), but those that went into the 20 or so eps I never got back to for 6 years, until the past couple of months.
When I logged into my MAL there was over 100 notifications and I opted out of watching them several times. I felt overwhelmed.
But Attack on Titan was an essential immediate get back to. So AoT was a part of the section of animes where--
A new season came out during the 6 years I was away
Attack on Titan (s3 and s4)
Hataraku Maou-sama (s2)

Osomatsu (s3 + 3 movies)
Overlord (3 more seasons since I last watched)
Starmyu (s3)
Osomatsu was the obvious immediate second anime I got back to after finishing AoT. Its one of my comfort animes. But then I was lost on what to do after Osomatsu. Yes, there were new seasons of all those above animes, but it also meant rewatching the previous seasons from the start.
So... I instead rewatched two animes that were on the shorter side while I got my head together (plus they were a v enjoyable rewatch)

THEN I finally said I'd tackle one of the above. So I rewatched Maou-sama so I could find finally see season 2 (wasn't worth it lol). Then Noblesse. But I put off Starmyu and instead tackled this list below, aka the one's I had on my own personal Hiatus
Classicaloid (was 15/25 eps into season 2 in 2017)
Yowapeda (2/25 eps into season 4 in 2017)
I'd been so close with Classicaloid to the ending originally, so, to finish those 10 eps off meant going back and rewatching season 1 of 25 eps, then catching up to season 2 with 15 eps and then finally seeing those last unseen 10 eps.
So compiled now that I just finished Starmyu, I just have two left

So on Sunday I caught the final final moments of Charlie McDonnell's stream of her 100% completing BotW, as a naked Link teleported from a shrine to his decorated house and went to bed. And she said that she was expecting to feel more celebratory than she did. That she actually felt rather melancholy. And like, that's nearly always how I feel finishing video games. I think in Wind Waker I'm up to the final boss battle (maybe?) and then I stopped playing, because I wasn't ready to say goodbye.
And then yesterday I started listening to Bluff City 45: Give Way to Open Sky Pt. 1. And I don't know when this episode was recorded, but it was released in April 2023, following up a game they rolled characters for back in May 2018 and haven't played since. Even though they wanted to get back into it immediately! It was a completely accidental hiatus! But again, it usually takes me years to finish a game. I'll put in 30 hours in a month and then not touch it for eighteen more months and when I come back I have no idea what I'm doing. I've lost my embroidery box with my game of A Mending, so even though I want to go back to it I can't.
I don't know why I didn't play the side missions in season 1 of Zombies, Run! back in 2017. I did the Abel Races and New Canton Races but not The Brunswick Incident. So since I haven't finished relistening to what I've ran so far, but I had finished the Couch to 5k, I ran S1ES1–ES2 on Wednesday, and S1ES3–ES5 on Saturday (treated myself to three episodes even though I was only running forban hour). I was giggling SO much during S4 - Guts that I was worried about getting weird looks at the track. And even though I know it's a zombie apocalypse story, and that this specific happiness couldn't last because this was a side mission and one of these characters really wasn't mentioned at all in the rest of season 1 or the half of season 2 I've played, I still wasn't expecting the tragedy that would befall in ES5 - Brains. But of course it was perfectly predictable. And when it became obvious to me that these characters were doomed, I wondered if this is why I hadn't run these episodes back in 2017. Had I been spoiled? Had I known that they had a Bad Ending and I wasn't up to facing it? I had assumed that I had just been so caught up in the plot of the main season that I didn't want to waste time on the side missions, but as I said before I did the New Canton Races and the Abel Races which each took me five runs because they are distance-based 35k each, The Brunswick Incident only took me two runs!
Speaking of ZR! and having no idea what I was doing with a video game when I come back years later, I know I had a strategy with how I was building up my town, but I certainly can't remember what it was. So I'm just adding onto it without a clue, and hoping past!Nicole is alright with it.
