Besides from Ireland, do you portray any other nation as female despite having a canon male version?

Actually, yes! I have female OCs for Northern Ireland, Finland, Iceland & Estonia. Iceland started out as a nyo, but I developed her so much she basically became an OC. The other three I set out with the intention of making an OC version instead. I might go back in develop male iceland more, bc I honestly love the idea of Finland being the only female (independent) Nordic.

I also prefer to use nyo north Italy in aus. I scarcely use aph Italy, also nyo. Nations like France, America & Spain, it’s a flip of a coin, sometimes I like to use their 1ps, but I also love their nyos.

I would’ve loved for the Philippines to be a girl too, and I much prefer Portugal original female design over his male design, but I don’t have girl versions developed for them, and don’t know enough about either country to develop female versions.

However, out of all these characters mentioned, the only two where I actively refuse to even acknowledge their male counterparts are Ireland & N. Ireland.

& in terms of OCs that aren’t canon in hetalia, the Faroe Islands, Åland, Cornwall & Northumbria (Northern England) are all also women in my mind.

The way I present the 2p’s and their universe is that the same countries exist, but history has worked differently creating different events that didn’t happen in the 1p (essentially our) history and vise versa. The 2ps in this universe aren’t ‘insane’ or bloodthirsty, their war torn and many traumatized by war.

This blog takes place in a time where the surviving 2ps have moved to the 1p universe after coming to an agreement of (relative) peace.

The rest of the 2ps are there i just don’t have enough headcanons to write for their pov, feel free to request what headcanons I have for them though.

My turn to bring a sinful scenario >:)

That scene from The Lion King with Simba and Scar but make it 2p Brazil and Portugal (only bc i can't see 1p port being that mean) in a ship that's burning (don't mind historical context lol) and Brazil telling him to leave and never come back and Port going full Scar like "Of course, as you wish...your majesty" and throwing ashes at his face to catch him out of guard and them fight happens

Yes! Yes I like it! They fight in a burning ship, like the drama queens they are.

Brazil pulls out a pistol and shots Portugal in the chest. The older tan stumbles into Brazil's arms, bleeding.

"Ironic" Brazil says smiling. "You'll die by the same weapon you brought here".

At that moment, Brazil screams. Portugal plunged a dagger into his chest, smiling through bloody lips.

"Yes... ironic. This blade... is poisoned with curare," they both fall to the ground, fire now all around them. "We'll die together... filho".

If you don't mind, how do you imagine 1p Brazil meeting 2p Portugal would go?

It varies a lot

Sometimes I go through the angst route and picture 1p Brazil terrified of him and how he hates him and calls him a traitor. Especially because he's, in a way, Portugal. Brazil is already used to get bad mouthed but he always dismisses it with a smile and calls them filho da puta behind their back. But hearing those things being said by someone that looks and sound like Port overwhelms him.

And there's times I choose the comedy route with 1p Brazil snorting at the careto mask and acting like a puppy around a angry wolf (how I look in your world? Do I look cool? Where did you get this scar?) And ignoring any angry remark or lament 2p Port makes (I love angst poet 2p Port where he says stuff like "oh foolish me. Should've devoured you like Jupiter did with his children" and 1p Brazil being like "cool. Anyway you want Pepsi or Coke with your burger?")

Name: Armando Fernández Carriedo

Age: 25 human, 1721 nation

Height: 5’9

Weight: 139 lbs

Appearance: Spain is an average body shape with slightly more muscle. His arms are strong, and he has a couple of scars on his arms from when he was under Rome. He is very toned in muscles though from all the fighting and farm work he does. His skin is very tanned and it is actually very dry. He also has scars along his back from Spain from Rome’s various methods. His eyes are a warm brown that high light his malice. Spain's hair is similar to his 1p, but he has more of a curl. It is fun to play with because it would curl around your fingers.

Armando wears tight pants and loose shirts. He likes the loose shirts because if he is in a fight they can rip and prevent him from getting caught on anything. The shirts also help with the heat from the sun when he is working the field. His clothing tends to be light-colored shirts, usually white or cream. His pants are black, brown, or even jeans.

Personality: After centuries of being beat down and fighting to keep himself afloat, he has become callous. His callousness allowed him to be the top dog in terms of conquest and wars. It allowed him to push where others would fall back. Though it has made it harder for him to make connections and after centuries of fighting he could care less that he has no connections.

Armando loves having power, any way he can keep someone under him, he will do it. He favors physical and mental tactics. Just to watch people squirm under him makes him feel ecstatic. When he had control of Romano, he loved the control especially since he felt that he was finally getting back at Ignatius.

Armando does not back down. If he wants something, he will take it even if it means shedding blood. Spain will ensure that whoever is in his way will die, if it’s a nation then they die repeatedly until he is bored.

Armando is also an old soul. He prefers the old ways of conquest and bloodshed. He longs for those days, he feels alive when he was taking things for his own, had a battalion of men under his command, and seeing the fear in his enemy’s eye.

Dead: This old soul can’t be stopped.

Weapon: Uses a battle-ax like his 1p

Family: Portugal

ETC: When Rome took him in as a child, it was not a good situation. Rome was determined to wipe everything that made him a Spaniard. Ignatius didn’t succeed as much as he would have liked, various methods failed in taming Armando. Instead, he had a small child that was as vicious as a wolf, that he couldn’t use. So, Armando was left outside, being used as a tool to teach the young Romano and Italy about the barbaric other countries.

Fabrizio was under Armando for many years. Armando used every excuse he could to rip into Fabrizio. Armando knows that he still fears him, and he loves it. Anything to make him squirm, Armando will do it.

Armando has an old ox named Idiota Enfermo, aka sick idiot or idiota for short. Idiota is a light gray bull that looks like he is about to die from starvation and is always sick. No one knows why he looks that way he just does. Many of Spain’s leaders have paid a lot of money to try and heal his bull, but nothing has worked. Other nations have tried to also heal his cow, Canada especially, all feel so disappointed when Idiota Enfermo continues to walk along looking like death personified.

Spain owns a farm out in the middle of nowhere. His bosses thought it would help control his bloodlust if he was around fewer people. He doesn’t care that he has a long commute, he maybe goes to the capital once a month, if that. Mostly because his bosses try to prevent anything, and many times will call him instead. He works the land himself, and if he has to leave for a meeting in another country, the people sent to his farm have a long list of things to do.
