thank goodness for bsd wan and the existence of teacher dazai. where would i be without you

based on a real-life conversation that happened with me and my students when i was a kindergarten teacher. very small children are some of the most ruthless and funny people i've ever met. it's an absolutely lawless land in the classroom (they were very sweet though!)

Ace Attorney girls will adopt older siblings and declare them "little" just because they entered the family last, it's just a fact of life.

I love that there's a consistent logic to it despite their actual ages. Both Edgeworth and Phoenix are 7 years older than both of them. Neither of these women are even in their 20's at this point while the lads are both 26. They are little brothers to them. Incredible.

as a woman who grew up with an emotionally abusive mother constantly telling me I needed to wear more makeup/more revealing clothing/date (boys) more/go out to "normal" parties more, I despise "she should be at the club"

god forbid some people- especially young women, who already have to deal with a thousand different behavioral standards from a thousand different directions -not have the same dreams and desires for their lives as you do for yours

fucking hell. the correct response to "women should stay at home and have kids and be submissive wives" prescriptivism was not MORE PRESCRIPTIVISM

(I also just saw a poll asking if people partied as teenagers, and OP responded that the answers were "killing them" because No was winning. like? why is everyone so personally invested in other people having a very specific kind of fun?)

I hope y'all are doing well #ive been reading a lot of fics with these two and i see how the authors have the characters refer to each other in their fics #and that got me wondering how much do they say each other's name in the show and how do they refer to each other #since this is the house video ill put his stats here #s1 was 19 times s2 was 31 s3 was 34 s4 was 30 s5 was 35 s6 was 58 s7 was 25 and s8 was 28 #in total he says his name 260 times. Mostly refers to him just by Wilson #He's only said Wilson's first name 7 times. Once by Jim 3 by Jimmy and 3 by James #He'll use his full name in professional settings or to be sarcastic or to pretend to be him #You know since House is the main character and in every episode of the show i thought he'd say his name more than him #but Wilson beats him by 42 times bc s7 and s8 he doesn't say his name as much. it took Wilson getting cancer for him to say it more #than he was before that point

I live in this constant state of static, like an VHS tape trying to boot up a movie. I'm there but I'm not there. My words may be faded in the smoke of the internet but fuck it, I guess.

My mother always told me to try journaling or writing in a diary but I never seen the point of it. I guess I'll give this blog a shot. What do I have to lose? I guess I will introduce myself.

I'm NoBody, a 23 year old woman. I honestly have no idea who I am. Like yes, I'm aware that I'm me in the technical sense. I just don't know the spiritual and emotional aspects of who I am.

My stepfather says that I'm wasting my life away at a damn dead end job while I should be in college. He doesn't believe that I'm as fucked up as I am. I respect him for being there for me as a father when I was growing up. My father thinks he knows me but I can respect him for trying to build a relationship with me. My mother is my probably the only friends I have in my life. She's my rock.
