yeah no im not going to lie to you gewls. the psychic damage of having to apply for the full-time version of my internship a year ago was kinda unbearable but like it made sense that i had to do that. but the psychic damage of having to apply for the literal EXACT same job that i am CURRENTLY IN just at a regular status with better benefits… is quite simply unspeakable. make it make sense.
#purrs#i feel horrible for complaining abt it bc again… im potentially getting fast tracked to regular status and a raise and that is an extremely#generous big deal. but how the fuck am i supposed to do any of this. like you mean i have to do a peasant dance ON THE PODIUM after winning#the dance competition ⁉️⁉️⁉️ like how do i even write this cover letter or ask for references or anything. i get why they have to do a searc#so it’s equitable and fair and whatever but this position was MADE for me and im already in it like… it’s fucking embarrassing for everyone#involved. why are we going through all of this why are you making me a dog in a thundervest AGAINNNNNN. attacka you attacka you attacka you.#delete later#like i feel so much despair agout it but it’s also so upsetting it’s funny. of course i have to apply for my own job not once but TWICE.#hell watch it be three times too once i finish killing myself getting a masters degree i don’t even want 😍😍😍😍😍😍 it’s all rainbows and#sunshine until they decide i have to walk across the coals one more time just for kicks huh. and you wonder why im on the verge of a nervous#breakdown literally constantly and am extremely distrustful and paranoid about anything having to do with my positioning in this work LOOOOL#like actually wha happened last year was i walked across the coals and then as soon as i made it safely to the other side a volcano erupted#and we all drowned in lava but i survived and now it’s like oh you have to walk across the coals again 😇 LIKE STFU DID YOU NOT SEE WHAT HELL#IJUST OVERCAME. IS THAT NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! but it isn’t of course and i get it but also like WHAT the fuck. this sux 😍

There are days when I feel like I am legitimately going mad
I just-
There is so much going wrong - all over the world! - that can be fixed! Maybe not easily, but certainly possibly!
So much that needs to be done that seems to me, and many many others, to be basic common sense! Simple cause and effect!
And yet
And yet
We're forced to watch, helpless, as politicians and corporations and fucking billionaires just go 'yeah... No. Not gonna do that, because it might be mildly inconvenient for me personally' and there's just... Nothing we can do? Like, yeah obviously vote in the best people and attend protests and whatnot, I'm not saying don't do that, but it's all just so
How fucking dare they? How dare they waste our lives and our planet and our fucking FUTURES in a selfish short sighted bid to line their own pockets??
It just feels so.... Just. How? Why? In what possible world is this a fair and equitable system??
"please stop burning fossil fuels so the planet doesn't become uninhabitable within our lifetimes?" "....nah"
"please spend some of our tax money to fund the NHS?" "Ah but see all that tax money is gone! We spent it deporting immigrants, because they're clearly the problem here"
"could you maybe stop allowing demonstrably destructive farming techniques because they're bad for the environment, the natural world and human health?" "....well Monsanto have paid me twenty million dollars to say they're not doing anything wrong, so... No. Too bad"
I just????
And everyone's going on like this is normal, like the whole world being held hostage to imaginary currency - which about 90% of economics is - is a perfectly reasonable state of affairs and not completely ludicrous-
Why are people working themselves into an early grave to line the pockets of a handful of already-rich businessmen? Why is this allowed?? How?
I am a firm believer that violent revolution will cause far more problems than it solves, with a nice bonus of 'mass mortality', but I can see how people decide it's the only option. What's the alternative? Spending every precious moment of free time working to get more leftist politicians in at every level of government, everywhere, while large chunks of the population too stupid or selfish or willfully ignorant to understand the stakes try to block you at every turn? Waiting for years for more progressive policies, while people die and forests burn and rich white men in suits throw tantrums because the line on a graph went up slightly slower than they imagined it would?
When do they get to be the ones forced to compromise again and again because the people in power don't give a shit about their precious stocks? When's our turn to say "yeah we're not gonna do that, because that's a demonstrably fucking terrible idea, and would make us personally less happy"?
The worst thing - the worst thing of all - is that their greed and destructive policies will fuck them over too! There will come a point where they discover that you can't negotiate with wildfire, or famine, or rising sea levels, but by the time they've learned the contents of their bank accounts does not actually affect the laws of physics.... It will be far, far too late for almost everyone else. Telling Bezos and Musk and fucking BoJo 'we told you so' will be cold fucking comfort by then

So, not asking this to be down on Biden or his admin, they have legit done some INCREDIBLE things, but because I know I don't have enough understanding or info to judge for myself. With how much of a threat the current SCOTUS is to... everything, what are the reasons Biden hasn't pushed to expand the number of judges to what it could be based on the precedent of the last time it was expanded and then staffed it with progressives, do you think?
I have written many posts about SCOTUS and SCOTUS expansion, which I can't be arsed to go find right now. In short, it does not require a constitutional amendment to expand the court (which would be impossible since iirc constitutional amendments require 2/3 of the Senate to vote in favor, and you'd have a hard time getting one Republican to vote to expand SCOTUS, let alone 17). In 2021, the Democratic-controlled House Judiciary Committee introduced the Judiciary Act of 2021 to expand SCOTUS (that page explains the rationale and also has a link to the actual text of the legislation, should you be interested in reading it). The plan is to introduce four new justices to expand the court to 13 seats, to match the 13 federal judicial circuits. The last time it was expanded was in 1869, when there were 9 circuits. You can say, uh, that things have changed.
However, obviously, the Republicans have played a long game to hijack and reshape SCOTUS to do exactly what it's now doing, and the last thing they want is anything that makes it more equitable or takes away that automatic and near-absolute power. As far as they are concerned, SCOTUS is now pretty much perfect, and they would howl bloody murder about any attempts to change it, even when McConnell brazenly cheated in plain sight to force Gorsuch and Barrett onto the bench and Kavanaugh's confirmation was also brimful with shady shit. They don't care about fairness, they care about their power, and as you say, SCOTUS in its current incarnation is basically a perfect system for unaccountable right-wing minority autocratic rule, even as the American electorate continues to reject it in actual democratic institutions. So indeed, why hasn't Biden come out more vocally in favor of court reform?
First, as I have said before, SCOTUS reform is still (for better or worse) regarded as political kryptonite for Democrats, especially a student of American politics like Biden. I have mentioned Franklin D. Roosevelt's brief attempt to expand SCOTUS in 1934, to help with getting the New Deal through, but which went down in flames so badly that all of his successors were leery of trying it again. Biden is, as noted, also a fairly orthodox old-school American politician who believes that American institutions can still (mostly) do the job, and is reluctant to drastically reshape them. I do think he's getting there; he started his term full of pointless platitudes about Bipartisanship and Our Republican Friends, whereas his more recent public rhetoric is basically "fuck those guys, we'll do it ourselves if we have to."
I don't agree with his recalcitrance on aggressively pushing for SCOTUS reform, and I think he should take a firmer stand on it. But at the moment, it's pretty much moot. The Republicans are going to take over the House in January, so there goes any chance of starting new legislative efforts in favor of utterly pointless Hunter Biden cosplay investigations. And even with Warnock's seat in the Senate making a 51-49 Democratic majority, there would have to be filibuster reform to ram SCOTUS expansion through (since as I said, not one single Republican would vote for it). With Joe God-King Manchin and Kyrsten The Traitor Sinema still steadfastly refusing to support any filibuster changes, SCOTUS expansion would die the same death as the rest of Biden's thwarted legislative priorities. (Once again, considering the circumstances he is working with, it is ASTONISHING that he has done as much as he has.)
So basically: SCOTUS reform can be achieved with an act of Congress, but in less than a month, Republicans will hold the House and will inflict all their enraging clown nonsense on us. The Democratic Senate majority is still very thin and saddled with the two worst "Democrats" in existence, though we are in fact no longer obliged to pretend that Sinema is a Democrat. For the next two years, what Biden can do is executive orders and confirm judges. He can maybe cut a deal with the House GOP for minor bills here and there, but there's absolutely zero, zip, nada, zilch chance that SCOTUS expansion could go anywhere before 2024 at least.
So should Biden talk about it more obviously and openly? Maybe, especially if SCOTUS inflicts us with more terrible decisions in 2023, as they are almost bound to do. But at the moment, what Biden can actually, practically do about it is very limited, and about to be even more so. So while I wish he would draw attention to it, I also reluctantly understand that there is, at this point, not much use in harping on a problem that cannot be fixed for another two years at the very least. The Democrats in Congress are very, VERY aware of the problem, and they're the ones who, even in a theoretical blue-wave election in 2024, would have to take the initiative in starting it. So that, overall, is probably more important.

can we hear about #4 - so without delay for the wip game?
absolutely!! pretty sure this one has been on my wip list every time i've played this tag game for the last like two years but man. one of these days it wont be 😭
ostensibly its the final entry into my tww series and other salutations and it brings it back around to the original conceit of the donna/joey of it all and ties up all the loose threads that exist mostly in my head than the actual text of the first three. the doc is about 14k so theres much to choose from but heres a donna & josh snippet from the very beginning
“You really need to go,” she offers again, trying to recall Turner’s extension. If she were saying these things for her health they could sequence her DNA and come up with a cure for anything that ails, but as it stands, the scientific breakthroughs will have to wait. She keeps a cheat sheet somewhere, but her pride rears its fair head, so she slides her thumbnail in the rim of the four, which is loose and jangles satisfactorily, and tries to come up with a number to go after. Before she can come up with an answer for either equation, Josh wrenches his tie into an equitable enough place and his face lights with not-so-private smugness. “I’m leaving.” He says it like he’s been trying to convince her. Angels weep, she thinks. “Funny,” she says instead, head tipping to one side, the opposite eyebrow raising apprehensively. The phone slips further down her shoulder, dial tone buzzing impatiently. “Because you’re still here and not harassing some poor intern on the Hill.”

Hi:) I love your writing so so much. Gorgeous characterisation, intelligent prose, etc! Just wondering if would you like to share your thoughts on Nottmort and Tomarry for that ask game👀 (and more specifically on Harry as a character, if you’d like, because I adored him in Made of Clay but I am also aware he probably isn’t a favourite character of yours, so I’m a little curious why, is all.) Thank you and have a nice day💗
Thank you for such kind words! ❤️ They’re lovely to hear. I’ll refer you in part to my past posts that touch on Harry, and also encourage you to send me a DM (here, Discord, wherever) if you want to chat in more depth! I love chatting. For the ask game, I’ll stay on the ships and limit it to a reasonable length.
Why don’t you ship Tomarry?
Because I dislike it and every trope that underlies it, and then at a certain point it became a matter of stubbornness and frustration as a Tom Riddle fan who did not ship it.
What would have made you like it?
I cannot give a fair and equitable answer to this! My dislike is as calcified as the tropes within Tomarry, lol. I will note that I rarely ship enemies-to-lovers, and so any possible way that I might ship this loses one of the essential pillars of their canon dynamic. I think that’s generally unsatisfying, as both an author and a reader, and so it’s best that I don’t try and find a vision of Tomarry which would work for me.
Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?
It’s the big ship for Tom, and I appreciate it so much when a Tomarry reader stumbles into my rare pairing corner and decides to give my writing a shot. Fewer people would be reading niche Tom fic if not for Tomarry’s popularity.
What made you ship Nottmort?
I accidentally walked into it through a fic that was meant to be another pairing tbh. But really, it’s the flexibility that appeals to me—Thoros isn’t even his real name, for goodness’ sake, it’s totally a fan construct. Nott Sr. exists as whatever I want him to be because there isn’t any canon to contradict that. We’re not going to have slap fights about correct characterization for Nott Sr. And what that amounts to is that I’ve gotten to create my own character, with exactly the traits I most enjoy, to pair up with Voldemort. It could have been some other surname-only Death Eater of that generation, so it having been Nott comes down to circumstance. Now that it is Nott, I’m never giving him back. Nott Sr. belongs to the canon of Harry Potter; my Thoros belongs to me.
What are your favorite things about the ship?
I love that Thoros is just as selfish as Voldemort—his key difference is that he expands the self out to encompass Voldemort as well, and Theodore in universes where Theo is born. It’s an interesting model for Voldemort to encounter, to have to reckon with; this is a man who suggests that it’s possible to have and maintain friendships, to function within normal society, all without adopting the moral values that someone like Albus argues are necessary. And Thoros isn’t hypocritical about it in the way that e.g. Mrs. Cole might have been, demanding virtues of Tom that she did not possess.
I love that a life with Thoros requires Voldemort to ask what his values actually are, and how he wants to prioritize him. My Thoros is stubborn enough to say ‘no’ when asked for something he’s unwilling to give, and so Voldemort is forced to confront that he cannot live eternally with Thor by his side. If it’s love, and Voldemort always does know that it’s love, then he must make a choice about what love is worth to him.
And the devil is in the details—these characters are peers, of the same age group; they spend formative years together; they have many of the same acquaintances and cultural references; they respect one another; they are both academically-inclined and value knowledge in the same way. There are a lot of similarities, which make the philosophical questions stand out more and feel possible to reconcile, or even make them feel worth reconciling.
Ultimately, I crafted Thoros to be exactly the partner I want for Voldemort. That’s cheating, I know. I fell in love with Thoros in his own right, though, and I take that as a success.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
Unpopular versus… myself? Lol. I suppose it’s generally unpopular to write something other than enemies-to-lovers romance for Voldemort, but I’ll always make the case that there’s a huge world of relationships beyond enmity, and opening up to those gives a much wider range of potential tension points or disagreements on which to base a story.

Even if you, personally, have never had the term queer directly levelled at you in a harmful manner, if you are part of the LGBT+ community, it is inherently part of both your history and a present risk at any given moment. I live in the UK. Until I visited Dublin, Ireland, I'd never had someone call me queer in a negative light. But even so, at any given moment, someone could.
Tell that to black people, I dare you. Not least; yes. It is. Inherently. If you don't like the word that's your choice. Nobody can force you to accept it and nobody should force you to identify by the term. But trying to take it away from other people makes you no better than those using it as a slur.
You don't understand why its important to some people as their identity. That's fine. You don't get to tell them they're wrong, though.
If you could just point out the part where im taking it away from other people or that other people are wrong that would be great.
Tumblr media
-----------------
In a post where i am talking about my personal feelings on something that pertains to me you've given me these counterpoints(?)
1. Someone could at any time call me queer.
Yes, I know. Increasingly it happens by woke leftist people who want to reclaim it and wont stop when I ask them not to call me that. Which really doesnt align with all that respecting identity philosophies yall are so keen on.
2. The idea of telling black people they shouldn't call themselves the n word is Very Bad. (For reasons you havent explained.)
I'm not. Im complaining about being called queer against my will. But, this is also a discussion the black community have. The idea that all black people refer to themselves, or other black people, by a slur is stupid and not true. So it the idea that they all IDENTIFY with the term. Where is the campaign to call it N***** History Month???
3. To be fair this is my fault for phrasing my second point as a y/n question but HOW is slur reclamation powerful? "It inherently is" doesnt explain anything. Whats inherent? Wheres the power? People not being annoyed or frightened to hear 'queer' leveled at them because they identify with it is not a power. How does calling yourself queer actually improve your standing in society? Are laws changed to be more equitable for you? Does this only work with queer or does calling myself a lezzo, or gaybo, a fucked up slut, or whatever else people call me without asking or caring if I also identify with those terms also give me power?
People are attempting to force me to identify with Queer every time they use it as an umbrella term. I am bisexual. I might experience attraction to someone of my own or different sex. Im not queer, im not part of the queer community. I dont know what it means to be queer. In my post i am complaining about other people calling me shit that i dont like. I am lamenting other slurs I used to be called and find it sorta funny that slurs have a trend cycle. Its true i dont understand why people want to use it as an identity. Making a post that says "heres what i dont get" isnt telling people their wrong. My second point is a question. This shows where i dont have the info others might.
Yesterday i was just complaining because i heard the world gaybo for the first time in 15 years and this highlighted to me that i see no difference betwern slurs. Today im gonna actually discuss things until i get bored.

what's your "dream game" to make and what's your "dream game" to play? how different are they?
Thanks for the ask! :)
Dream Game To Make
If we're talking as full-time work, I've actually had questions like this in interviews before and I'm so pragmatic that my reponse is always "I don't think of dream projects or dream studios, think of dream cultures". I want to work on projects in ways that are equitable and fair, with people who are actually like-minded. If the foundational culture and context of your work is good then the game you're making shouldn't really matter.
In terms of personal work, it sounds like a cop-out but if I had unlimited time and energy and money I'd want to try and make everything honestly! What I like about gamedev is that while every production often has the same (or similar) constraints, every game has a unique set of challenges and problems to solve. Like, I've never worked on two prouects that had the exact same design problems and I love the variety to it and how the different challenges still give you transferrable solutions you can use in the future. This sounds like a response you'd read on a cover letter but I swear I do mean it, it's why the genres of the games I've publish tend to be really inconsistent across the board. I like new problems!
As a more concrete answer, I do have a couple of concepts I've spun in my head that I never had the skillset to bring to life. One specifically was called "Egg Game", which I thought up back in college.
The basic jist was it was more of a marketing campaign or social experiment than a full game. I imagined it as an exclusive game you could only get access to by getting a copy from someone who had access to Egg Game OR by buying it for a ridiculous price (like $2000 or something). The game itself would be an idle Tomagotchi-like where you leave it running and hatch creatures from eggs. The creatures don't do anything and there would be no gameplay to speak of, BUT you have to sign a EULA saying you can only say great things about Egg Game. The game itself sucked, but the 'experience' around it was designed to feel exclusive and tantalizing to people who didn't know anything about it. Essentially I thought it would be fun to see how something like that might take off, how it would 'spread' to others, who might 'leak' it and how dramatically, etc. It was fun on paper but I always knew it would be WAY too much work for me to do, probabky wouldn't be profitable in any way, and relies on skills and connections I really don't have. Fun to think about though!
The other one is a personality-based sport management game where you have to manage egos and personalities as opposed to skills and hard data. This one I've talked about before, but I still see it as reachable down the road so probably won't speak to it too much for fear of jinxing anything.
Dream Game To Play
I typically like playing games that are incredibly complex and procgen because once I start to see patterns in gameplay I lose interest really fast. Stuff like Grand Strategy like Crusader Kings 3 or milsims like ARMA3 - very different than the games I usually make.
Per above, I also really like the concept of managing people as a a core gameplay focus - like State of Decay style - because I think it's interesting and helps build narrative. So maybe something where people management and deep gameplay ties together?
On that note Dwarf Fortress Adventure Mode is pretty close to my dream game. Just give me a huge chatoically generated procedural world with tons of stuff in it and people to talk to and places to get lost in and I'm happy :')

Conflict Resolution through the Mahabharata!
War may be fought by men, but its victims are always women and children.
With all the advances we have made in science, technology, psychology, economics, architecture, art, literature, politics, we are still unable to live in peace. Sadly, in 2023, peace seems such a long way away in so many places on Earth.
Mahabharata, often associated with war, is actually an epic that advocates peace and gives different ways to resolve conflicts.
The epic starts with king Janmanjay initiating a yagna to perpetrate a genocide to wipe out snakes of all species. He was furious because his father was killed by a snake who wanted to exact a revenge for the death of his family and a massacre of snakes perpetrated by the king's great grandfather.
At the yagna, sage Vaishampayan recites the family history of Kurus to enlighten the king about the past and reveal that the harvest of hate is bitter.  Very bitter.  All those who wanted revenge, got what they wanted in some measure.  BUT, they had to pay a heavy price for their vengeance.  Most lost their lives, or someone they could not live without, to exact the revenge they so desperately craved.  So if anything, the epic tale teaches us that revenge is a poison not worth taking.
Killing only begets killing.
How many generations will this cycle of blood-feud continue?
How much generational trauma will it inflict?
How much pain will everyone suffer?
How many lives will be lost?
To what end?
Realising this, the epic ends with King Janmanjay stopping the genocidal yagna of snakes. At some point, someone has to end the cycle of hate. Someone has to get off their high horse and withdraw, making space for the other side to re-evaluate the situation and also stand down.
At some point, both sides will have to realise the cost of perpetuating this war is too high to pay. If that is inevitable, why not stop the war now? Why not bring it to an end and declare peace NOW?
The epic discusses many different types of peace treaties, including 'land for peace'. Mahabharat showcases treaties disguised as truce in a war, unequal treaties, unjust treaties, fair and equitable treaties too. Peace at any cost and peace that perpetuates prosperity for both sides are discussed in the epic.
How to resolve conflicts. Who to talk to. How to talk to 'who' to, to get the work done. How to effect change. How to make subtly make an impactful statement. When to speak and when to be silent. When to act and when to stand back - are all discussed in the Mahabharata in wonderful detail.
Within our lifetime, we have seen how Germans and Europeans who were at each other's throats made peace. They are both now prosperous.
Japanese and the west made peace. Both benefiting from it and both prospering as a result.
Closer to home, IRA and UK made peace. After 90 years of terrorising each other, the Queen herself, whose uncle was killed by the IRA, shook hands with them in 2012.
Let us hope the fighters in Mayanmar, Yemen, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger Sudan, Ethiopia, DR Congo, Ukraine, Russia, Israel and Hamas realise this and stop their wars. For example, returning 200 hostages for the safety of 2 million is surely good maths!
Burying the hatchet is easier than burying your sons.
Notes -
Let us learn from the Mahabharata the futility of war and its terrible cost to us all - combatants and non-combatants. Mahabharata teaches this lesson by weaving a fantastic tapestry of many royal family histories, spread over many generations, across several cities across the Indian subcontinent, with numerous wars, marriage alliances, political intrigues and sprinkled with philosophical insights.
I have studied the Mahabharata epic in great detail, written over 40 articles on my website, published an e-book and conducted a 7 day katha to talk about its wonderful lessons. Here are links to these -

curtains from eyes - lifted
since oct 7, 2023 to now, i feel like i've changed SO MUCH. of course, oct 7th, 2023 marked the attack on isNotreal and following that began the gen0c1de of the falasteeni people.
there is SO MUCH to which i had previously been ignorant that i've learned in this past month and a half and it feels like there are propoganda curtails that have FINALLY been lifted from my eyes. i can see and i can see light.
it also feels like i'm truman - i've finally left my bubble along with the feeling of safety and security that it came with. the ideologies i hold and value for myself that i previously THOUGHT aligned with the part of the world that i am currently living in are...still that! i still hold those values and i am still a liberal person. i still believe in the abso fucking lute sanctity of each and every single human life on earth. i still believe humanity exists. i still believe all of it.
the difference is, i no longer believe that my values are aligned with the values of the leadership in the western world.
it's made me feel like people are actually monsters in high high high places!
they're accepting money to k1ll falasteenis. these people have made us (yes ALL of us non caucasian folks even those of us living in these countries) look like animals. they feel we are barbaric and they dehumanize to be as such and then go on and believe their own bull shit.
it's amazing how much i'm realizing the power of words in terms of re-wiring our brains.
literally, LITERALLY if you say or hear something enough you WILL eventually believe it and then you will start to subtly, subconsciously start ACTING on your beliefs. and then you will start to build CONFIRMATION BIASES.
urgh.
nuts right.
it is so so so so easy at this time of feeling dis-ingenuined with such a large group of folks (namely the "superpower" country to the south of me but also the canadian leadership) and start to feel like fighting hate and propoganda with hate and propoganda is the correct response.
but here i feel like my faith is strengthening.
because the falasteeni people have no powerful support backing them. no human in power and able to make a difference is doing ANYTHING for them.
and so they're being forced now (and for the past 74 years) that humans are not where we should be putting our faith. humans are not our God. Allah swt is the only one deserving of our faith because he is the ONLY one ever to be sufficient for us. for all of us.
in the face of such extreme adversity as faced by the falasteeni people - there is a freedom. no one thinks or cares for them so they see all the realities of the world. and they continue. they say shukar alhumdulillah. they say allah hu akbar. they believe that this life that they suffer through is not in vain. and i finally understand the freedom in truly being motivated by what is to come in the hereafter.
this life is temporary. do good. be good. (these are lessons to ME here - i am not in the business of giving advice, i'd be frankly quite shit at it - i already am). collect the goodness in your deeds. raise your children to be fair and equitable. raise them to understand the freedom that comes in accepting the believe that we are human and the ONLY one worth our trust and tawwakkul is Allah swt.
this life is temporary. live it, enjoy it. but don't forget that this is not the be-all, end-all. see through the eyes of the falasteeni people. see through the eyes of the congoan people. see through the eyes of the afghani people. see through the eyes of the people of pakistan and all over the world living in poverty. see through the eyes of th esyrian people.
do not make one race or ethnicity or religion superior to another.
there is nothing that makes me as a human more worth saving that any of my brothers or sisters around the world. don't get caught in that trap.
be kind. be good. be honest. live this life. and be done.
much love,
k

Unraveling Economic Paradox: Denny Ja Discussing the Rich-poor gap in Pandemi
Introduction In the Pandemi Covid-19 situation which is engulfing the world today, many countries face serious economic challenges. Indonesia is not an exception. One of the issues that a concern is the rich-implying gap that is getting bigger. In this article, we will unravel this economic paradox by discussing the views of Denny JA, a leading economist in Indonesia. Why is the gap rich-poor increasing? Pandemi Covid-19 has brought a significant economic impact in Indonesia. Many business sectors are forced to stop operating, causing decreased income for many people. However, this does not apply to everyone. Some people actually managed to take advantage of this situation to generate large profits. Thus, the gap of rich-poor is increasing. Injustice in the distribution of social assistance One of the factors that exacerbates the rich-poor gap in this pandemic is injustice in the distribution of social assistance (social assistance). Although the government has made efforts to provide assistance to people in need, there are still many reports about uneven distribution and not on target. Some people who are supposed to get help actually do not accept anything, while other people who actually do not need to get the assistance. Impact on the informal sector The informal sector is one of the most affected sectors in this pandemic. Many informal workers lost their jobs because of the social and economic restrictions that were enforced. They do not have social security and do not get unemployment benefits. As a result, they were forced to face quite severe economic difficulties. Meanwhile, the formal sector that is still operating may also experience a decrease in income, but they have more guarantees and opportunities to survive. Long -term implications The rich-poor gap that is increasing in this pandemic has serious long-term implications. Social and economic inequality can result in social tension, political instability, and further injustice. In addition, this pandemic can also worsen poverty conditions, because many people lose their livelihoods and are forced to live in more difficult conditions. Denny JA's view Denny JA, a leading economist in Indonesia, has voiced his concern about the rich-poor gap in this pandemic. According to him, the government needs to take concrete steps to reduce this gap. One step that can be taken is to ensure a fair and equitable distribution of social assistance. In addition, Denny JA also stressed the importance of supporting the informal sector in order to survive in this situation. Conclusion The rich-poor gap that is increasing in Pandemi Covid-19 is an economic paradox that we need to face seriously. Injustice in the distribution of social assistance and the impact on the informal sector is a major factor in exacerbating this gap. Long-term implications that may arise from this rich-poor gap also need to be our concern. Denny Ja, as a prominent economist, gave an important view in overcoming this rich-poor gap. Concrete actions must be immediately taken by the government to ensure the distribution of fair social assistance and support the informal sector. By overcoming this economic paradox, we can build a more just and more stable society in the future.

The Advantages of Using Commercial Mediators
Now how frequently have we all learned about some long long civil case that in the end netted anybody or party that prevailed close to nothing? It's the same story. The attorneys got all the money in fees, through time it had wound its course, the prevailing litigant was ready to be happy with far less than what was originally sought. Actually it's not all that uncommon since the majority of people simply are not able to understand just how many avenues are available for litigants to delay proceedings. In fact civil cases very commonly drag out for many years and several after only greater than a decade. They can take that long. This is strictly why lots more people today than previously are opting for the services of commercial mediators, and this comes with instances its keep isn't any possibility civil litigation. In fact they're able to, and therefore are regularly called upon for any wide selection type of situations where a contract has got to workout between 2 or more parties. What's more, once an agreement is resolved by commercial mediators it could officiated in a legally binding document that is certainly viable in the court of law. Now it isn't really enforceable as they are a judge's court order, but none the less, it might be taken into court and rendered into a order from the court if someone or more parties violate the relation to a mediated agreement. Still one more thing to consider, is the fact that commercial mediators are wide open to know all facts surrounding a specific situation. Now on top that could not look like huge thing, and soon you understand that courts do regularly bar too much info online from being heard. In fact anything that a judge considers being in a roundabout way relevant is usually not considered. Then again, what too a lot of people fail to take into consideration would be the fact even though a dispute is formally rectified in a court of justice, in many cases the parties are left to handle the other person over time. This particularly is valid in matters of family estates where simple disagreements can cause an eternity of disputes, despite the first matter was settled problem. What most people fail to consider is the fact that civil courts are ran by attorneys for attorneys. It's where they earn their, and conflict is what they cash in on. You see it is just not in the attorney's best interest to find out your final agreement. Rather, whatever they look ahead to are clients on both sides of an dispute returning repeatedly, like boxers stepping into the ring for successive rematches. Professional mediators on the other hand are judged by how permanent their effort is and this ensures that the worst thing they want to view is parties they have previously managed returning with another disagreement. Commercial dispute resolution 's a system that works, and ultimately it's a system that's meant to lead to a fair, and equitable lasting agreement between all parties involved.

Transcript: Please help!
I was divorced from my spouse, but I found out that my spouse had actually hid a substantial amount of income or assets.
However, the divorce was already finalized.
Is there anything else I can do about that?
It's just not fair.
Hi. I'm Sergio Cabanas, Attorney-at-Law here in Florida.
And today we'll be discussing a little bit about what happens if your spouse had committed some kind of fraud by hiding their assets or income during the divorce process.
Actually, it is possible to reopen your divorce case and reevaluate the terms and conditions of that divorce case to ensure that all of the assets and income are properly accounted for in that divorce.
As a general rule, there are three factors to consider whether or not your case is eligible to be reopened.
The first one is that the asset or the income has to be substantial in value.
The court is very reluctant to reopen a case to simply reevaluate and upset the entire applecart that was already settled, to take into account a minor issue or a minor asset.
The second factor we consider is whether that substantial income or asset actually existed at the time of the divorce.
And the third factor, of course, is whether or not your spouse ever disclosed any information related to that income or asset.
If these factors apply to your case, then it is possible to reopen your divorce case and potentially redistribute these assets changing the terms and conditions of your divorce in a more fair and equitable manner for you.
Of course, like anything else a lot depends on the specific circumstances of each case.
And that is why you should consult with an experienced, knowledgeable attorney.
I hope this short video provided you some guidance on how to handle this very important topic.
Thank you again for watching.

And you know ripped out nuclear material it doesn't know about the money no but isn't interested at that time and you can see the truck going right from that sweet and my husband did not stay there with me we were not giving the grand treatment at all the ground floor at the outskirts and it was horrible and the people are stupid and you didn't give anybody excuse to go there that's stupid we didn't even win anything so that's good though he thought it was good I need anybody desperately still does but thanks to your stupid and I know you're stupid and you can see a little bit of a vehicle movie and he can't tell what it is because the screen is small and slow definition he said it looks like a truck and it's going towards what looks like maybe an offering to the right and he wasn't aware that that's the case there but it is now or a street to the right it does look like some sort of tunnel structure and he recalls that there might be something like that there but it's new and it is and that's what people see and that's the truck with the money in it and it has to do with muto destroying something that was holding it and the rest of it's destroyed and you can still access it from the back and it was the particular casino that I broke into and the money moved this is the day after tomorrow it's not far away

I'm pretty angry all the time and she is as well but I'm proud because she's angry at the right reason. It's about children and how people have a right to have children especially if they educate them properly not to harm others and to be fair and equitable and all you're doing and that's what we intended but no one gave us a chance and it comes out in code and it has to do with the firebird and the firebird and countering Daniel and this is not a firebird but it was it did appear as a firebird and this is actually a clandaku flying insect and they all fly it's not a mystery and it's just a mutated a little into a lizard it was eating lizards not Godzilla and Godzilla doesn't want them lizards. That is very excited my husband is with me now and he is very proud and happy because I'm learning how to handle Klendathu and I took the reins and I took the bulls by the horns and he says it all the time it's really good. Is real happy and excited about Godzilla the movie and a lot of people are even though Vegas gets ruined but now it has a lot of meaning. And it is about children too and it's about offspring and you're messing with us when we were there all the time okay the whole time we did this nasty timeshare thing he thinks that was at the other place and it was and we went into our hotel it was not bad it was decent and we had a nice time and we slept actually and he was snoring like mad and I woke him up and he goes Don't wake me up I'll smell it louder so I said I'm not threatening you it's just a fact cuz I said you can't threaten me with that and I said sleep on your side and it said okay I'll try it so I tried it and he was fine so later on the morning he's sleeping on his back and I can hear him snoring and I was getting ready and I'll sleep on your side so he rolls over and he's sleeping he woke up and he does where are we his little disorientated I said where in Las Vegas I said why are we in this hotel it's a crappy hotel since all we can afford it says no I mean why are you and I here and not in a nice hotel and I heard I saw you smile and I said it's because we can't afford it and you got a little glum I said that's okay we're together and then all sudden I felt bad cuz you didn't know it was me that's the way you're saying it I'm trying to show you to tell you it came out wrong so we've split up and did better work so watching and listening like madness I couldn't get anything out. She had some fun and it wasn't that bad and things didn't go wrong we didn't get stolen from and we had a decent time and went to the Bellagio and we went to all the hot spots and had a decent time it was actually quite enjoyable the place is kind of an armpit but I'm used to a lot worse and here's a gentleman and we went up to Carson City before that with a group and we had a lot of fun and we did all sorts of fun stuff but really Vegas was a good time and but we're not really mad at Vegas it's just that the money gets moved there and the money gets moved there because the money from it goes to Japan with Tommy F comes back and goes to Vegas ghost I'm sorry goes to Utah so there's some kind of mistake as to who brings it there because dumb and dumber happen wait a minute this this could be right the money left I went to Japan and came back it didn't seem to do that in the case was out of sight and the saying something.
The Klendathu are coming the Klendathu coming, oh stop snoring. Lol
Zues
Yeh ok
