But they're also a symptom of withdrawal.... Alongside sweating (pale skin), insomnia, and nausea...
And sometimes numbness
#i speak#emesis blue#tf2#team fortress 2#the medic#i don't know why he would cold turkey the supposed valium given he didn't know its true nature yet but it could explain#why he was looking like the dead there in the end beyond the metaphor of a walking deadman and the effects of the horrors#he could be ODing on the valium arguably too after y'know... the horrors#it could also be a result of coming out of the slaughterhouse corrupted respawn station. he came out corrupted and his natural#healing can only do so much with what it's got especially again the horrors#the withdrawal theory also doesn't quite work because 3 days pass between the burndown and the funeral nov 1 to nov 4#and diazepams are long acting drugs so withdrawal doesn't typically set in for a week or so#but this is just from light research so#either way medics hands def aren't shaking from fear and the subtle tremors are a nice touch

Put my back out. Decided to drag myself into work because "Oh, it's not too bad" I thought this morning, neglecting to realise it wouldn't be after a night of strong painkillers keeping me still and my husband's warmth beside me had done it the power of good, and sitting at a desk would soon have the opposite effect.
