#i do not want to charge people to see my art#i have a job on top of doing this little art blog#every time i show this little project of mine people tell me i better find a way to monetize it to make money off of this#its just very frustrating to constantly have to explain that i want people to just see and cherish my drawings#i dont want to be reliant on making art to make my money i think that'd not work with what im going for#and it would turn art into a deeply frustrating experience i try to constantly optimize to get the most amount of money from#rendering experiments and trying out new artstyles something that could legit put me out of eating food 👍#but really#the job is not good for me i am always do exhausted#it really takes so much effort to draw sometimes

Your closest bet is like. hopeing that the week you come in just so happens to also be#a week that a church costume department recently donated a bunch of old stuff. but I just haven't really had much luck finding like fancy ve#sts and suit coats and cloaks or like tunics and etc. etc.#Styles like mori kei or cult party kei are pretty accessible and easy for places like the bins (where youre usually digging through piles of#curtains and fabric scraps and doilies anyway). but finding like.. a straight up tudor england costume or something is . VERY rare#Sometimes you do find halloween costumes. Or like. stuff that's clearly like cheap 'Goth' stuff from shein or aliexpress that someone has do#nated and they can be a LITTLE okay in terms of usable for costumes. But you rarely find actual good quality stuff. obviously because like#real very good quality historical costumes are expensive and most people aren't just like 'yeah dump it off to goodwill' lol#In an ideal world though I would have fancy top hats and neck ruffles and stuff .. know this ghhjbhj#Lack of that will not stop me from taking picturesin basically the same outfit 6000 times though. #my teeth have been aching nd hurting on nd off for 5 months now >.<#but the past few days theyre aching almost all day :c it's so annoying nd i hate it sm i cant concentrate on anything#i cant rlly do anything either like mouthwash nd tootphaste nd flour tablets arent helping#i've been taking great care of my teeth for the past several years too like idk ://#im thinking it could potentially be acid reflux damaging the teeth#but i've already been to the doctors w it nd nothing helps ://#anyway i made an appt but it isnt until the 6th may#on top of that it's only an appt for them to check nd see nd then write a list of things that should/could be done#then i have to send it in for approval nd see what my wellfare will cover 😬#it's not certain that they'll approve any of the recommended treatment#at least i've tried then#dental care is CRAZY expensive like it's fucked up#i wish i just had a job w a salary then i'd gladly take all my money nd go to the dentist#i HATE dental pain nd issues. i hate it sm!!!!!! i would give up my entire pay just to get rid of this#i'd start any job tmrw just so i could go to the dentist i absolutely abhor this#so yeah im struggling w this atm nd it's roughhhh#hopefully it'll calm down. i still have to think abt school nd do my assignments

#these past two weeks have been so intense that ive just.. not spoken about it once i got home from work#blocked it all out#my beloved colleague whose desk is next to mine has cancer#breast and uterus. she needs two major surgeries#they just diagnosed her two weeks ago#so we've been trying to deal with that as colleagues and friends#because we love and miss her and i am so deeply sad as well#but i feel like i couldn't process that at all bc two days after the news of her diagnosis i was asked to take on half of her work#on top of my fulltime#which i agreed to do bc i like her tasks and i want to help her and i also know i can do it#but it does feel very off bc i know i don't earn enough money for this workload to be long term and it is def like this#for the coming four months at least#so i did tell my manager that i would like a raise and. that bitch told me to BUY MORE SECOND HAND SHIT.#i seriously thought i saw my life flash before my eyes#then the day after she asked one of my colleagues who's been with the firm for over 30 years whether she was looking for another job maybe?#which caused that colleague to instantly go home in tears and be home from basically a nervous breakdown the past 1.5 week#which is her full right and i support her with all my heart but bc my management sucks it meant that we had to also carry her tasks ofc#i felt soooo spread thin and super super angry actually but i didn't even realise how angry i was until last thursday my colleague w cancer#came by the office. and talked about all of it. and i suddenly realised how sad i was but then also how angry#but i was just blocking it all out trying to stay afloat#bc we told her about what the manager had said and she said “i hope that i get the chance to really tell her how it is someday.”#“because the stress she causes with people can actually kill you. just look at me.”#and the rest of the day i felt so ready to be done with everything actually#but seeing her anger made me see my own anger#and released me of my own pent up emotions bc i had actual leg pains this week and it was purely psychosomatic#i then managed to tell some friends yesterday about what was going on and their outrage spurred me on even more#so today i emailed hr. demanding a raise#doing this amount of work while constantly feeling like the house is on fire while also struggling financially seriously makes me suicidal#and i am not joking#so.. if nothing comes of that im leaving that job and not looking back

So yeah avoiding my phone didn't work and also meant I sat on the kitchen floor staring into space for about 3 hours before Alfie woke up but hey at least I didn't break anything
Them being around is helping a little but they're also struggling and it fuckin sucks bc I know we're both just. Rotating money stress in our minds
#like. i went out earlier to get bread#just bread bc we cant afford anything else#got just enough in the bank to cover the work thing but since management stjll hasnt gotten back to me on HOW to pay it its like#our electricity is already in debt lol it has a thing where you can go £10 into debt before it switches off#and it usually wont switch off over weekends#presumably bc all but 1 places nearby thst we can top it up at are shut on weekends but anyway#so we're like. okay. it MIGHT last today and if it does thst SHOULD mean itll last till monday.#but then itll be at least a tenner in debt#then we only have to last till thursday but its. do we keep this money thats for The Thing that is once again unclear on how urgent it is#or do we spend it on the Soon To Be Immdiately Urgent thing#and thats not even CONSIDERING food lmao we. i got 2 loaves of bread so we can at least survive on toast for a few days#we got 3 maybe 4 meals worth of stuff still in the kitchen#like...at this point i dont even care if i have to go a few days without eating at all to make it to thursday but its.#its so fucked up those are the terms im thinking in#and this isnt asking for more donations i really cannot take that today im at the fuckin bottom of my barrel#and already feel hopeless and useless and an active drain to everything around me#but its. like. how. why. why is it still like this. why is it looking extremely unlikely its ever gonna change.#whats the point if its all for a few scattered handful hours of actual peace and comfort never mind happiness#tldr yes i am once again suicidal but small s#like in the sense of i would feel immense relief if a truck came at me on my way to work tomorrow and would not step out of the way but#dont have it in me to actually consciously act upon
