🪞 (Mirror) - What would their Mirror World counterpart be like? If they are a Mirror World counterpart, what traits of theirs are reflected? Do the two of them get along?
for context, because i dont think people outside of artfight know much of remidee, they're an apothecary who deals minorly in fighting and magic as an aspiration. due to how injuries work in my mirrorverse, traditional medicine is in extremely low demand and basically not needed. mirror!remidee has leaned almost totally into being a fighter as a result. coincidentally enough, this also reflects regular remidee's worst insecurities for reasons that are a bit too wordy to explain right now
after the fall of shadow dedede's monarchy, they found themself in mirror floralia as a refugee. they're not as good as fighting as the rest of the army, but the queen isnt one to turn away someone so loyal and ready to dedicate themself to the kingdom. officially theyre in the army as a fighter of the same level of the sectra dees, but really theyve been designated as just the guy that brings the banner into battle
mir!remidee would scare the absolute hell out of regular remidee, for reasons they couldn't quite place, even though mir!remidee is actually quite nice. it's the existential dread, remidee....
🕰️ (Clock) - What would a Dreamy Gear version of them look like? What sort of accessories would they have? What kind of role do they play?
on the other end of the spectrum, dreamy gear remidee has leaned fully into being an apothecary, considering there's no need for fighting and magic is extremely rare. they keep a pretty nice shop in the town of wind (<novel lore, for you folks who don't know). they seem richer than the other residents or overly-well off at first glance, but medicinal ingredients are very difficult to get a hold of in this setting, and they're quite passionate about their work, so they have a lot of high quality supplies
dg sunset is a carrier pigeon, basically. child of single dad manager dedede, they help deliver mail. though they have a habit of getting into trouble more often than not on the job while jumping from rooftop to rooftop. remidee has a sense of disdain for dedede in this universe thanks to sunset's shenanigans
🍒 (Cherry) - Out of all of the Dream Friends [Kirby included], which ones would they get along with the most? The least?
Sunset: i don't hc the mirror counterparts to be related to or have familial relations with their regular counterparts, but dmk would definitely be the fun uncle to sunset. both magolor and taranza get a thumbs down from her, not because of their past crimes, but simply because she thinks they're "kinda weird and annoying"
Remidee: i swear to god this has absolutely nothing to do with my own affinity for zan but remidee admires zan a lot. combining elemental magic with weaponry is notoriously hard in my universe, requiring a lot of skill and control to do. remidee is practicing spearplay and electric/beam magic, so this lines up very well. marx scares remidee a lot.
Alexandria: alexandria doesnt get any friends for reasons relating to her Themes. but im sure shed be extremely fond of kirby himself. gooey too i think! she also keeps her distaste for people well hidden, or is quite open minded--it's difficult to tell, so nothing for the "gets along with the least" part of the question either.

I have SEVERAL songs that represent Yume. Last time I answered a song in this post, that made me think of Yume's overall time in Twisted Wonderland. (It's a sorta long post with analysis.) And @bunnwich has said that "Waiting on a Miracle" from Encanto reminds them of Yume.

Who is your OC’s closest platonic friend?
I know I KNOW I DONT TALK ABOUT IT MUCH!
But Ruggie and Yume are besties y'all! They don't really know how it happened either considering Yume disliked his smug aura and hates when people steal from them specifically. And Ruggie can smell a goodie too shoes a mile away.
Of course, that's just the surface-level projection of both of them.
Once they get to know each other in and after chapter 2 they both see past that and realize they have things in common and of course a dumb similar taste in humor.
Add that to the fact that Yuuta and Leona "hang out" and also Jack and Yuuhi "hang out", and it leaves Yume and Ruggie as the platonic 3rd wheels. So they kinda just gravitate toward each other during those times too.
Don't get them wrong, Grim, Deuce, and Ace were their first friends and hold a special place in their heart. But I think they get along with Ruggie on a very visceral level that they didn't expect lol.

Last time with this question I talked about Yume's relationship with Jamil! So this time let me talk about Yume's relationship with KALIM!
Oh boy where to start.
Yume didn't officially meet Kalim until chapter 4 and was very skeptical meet a genuinely kind person at NRC, especially after getting betrayed by Azul.
So when Kalim is just genuinely nice and kind it kinda threw them for a loop. And then he started talking and saying nice things ABOUT Yume. Compliments they've never heard from anyone before! Plus the fact that he was so touchy (in a good way! Yume enjoys casual affection)
And the whole flying carpet under the stars didn't help (even with their brothers with them the whole time.)
So yeah it kinda developed into a big time crush, unfortunately.
Though after going through the events of chapter 4 they realize that Jamil and Kalim have their own things to work through and that maybe trying to get into a relationship with Kalim...isn't right at the moment. (Plus all their fear of rejection/vulnerability/ and inexperience when it comes to dating in general. Oh, and not to mention the feelings they're definitely not catching from some shut-in gamer boy too.)
Still they don't really shake their crush completely until I'd say the near end of my fic The Diamond in the Rough and the Boy without a Fairy. (Which takes place between chapters 4 and 5 in game)
Though they still find things awkward around Kalim so that leads to them just kind of...avoiding him for a while. It's a lil shitty on their part but eventually Kalim notices and they both officially have a talk of sorts that clears the air in Chapter 5 (during the VDC training camp.)
I do plan on writing it one day but right now I'm in the middle of writing other lore!

Definitely Chapter 3! I feel like in me and @bunnwich timeline so many things happen around that time.
The Ramshackle gang getting to know their respective love interests, Yuuta/Yuuhi getting their respective weapons, Yume snapping and going a little insane on how to plan and get back at Azul and showing that they're not just a shy goody goody.
It just is a time when the brothers are starting to really feel like they understand and belong in Twisted Wonderland to a degree y'know?

@elegyofthemoon sent a few numbers from that oc ask meme to answer abt nikolai but since my art side-blog has my old url tumblr sent it there instead fjdklsfjds
1. does your oc have any motifs?
ok so i have some thoughts on this because. my first drafts for nikolai were back in july 2022 (i got into the lore then but didnt start playing for another year) and one of the first videos i remember watching was the teyvat chapter trailer where all the nations are outlined and after seeing lyney & lynette for fontaine i knew i needed to make a circus ringmaster oc (which started my circuscore phase that never ended. i actually made acrylic charms outta nikolai in lil circus outfits)
at the time tho we knew NOTHING about fontaine so he was really undeveloped besides from 'son of a fontainian noble family who was sold to a traveling circus because of his physical mutations'
so now the main fontaine story is over and done ive had a lot more material to work with and changed his character direction around so some of his existing motifs are:
-circus based design/aesthetics
-has a very strong moral code & sense of justice in his personal relationships, regardless of any faction loyalties
-hates fontaine's corrupt justice system that failed him (though that hatred manifests more towards neuvillette rather than furina, now)
2. describe your character's voice. do they have a voice claim?
i dont do voice claims at all. because i find it rlly hard to imagine how my ocs would talk outside of my mind fjdkslfjd for nikolai its even harder since theres like two different versions of him existing in my head, because he was a lot more unhinged and leaned into the unnerving circus freak identity pre-fontaine but post-archon quest i've been able to develop his backstory & interactions with others further and hes much more mellow & somber. and they both sound Very Different. unhinged cannibal niko still exists in my heart even if its not canon anymore
6. what is the thing your oc likes the least about themselves?
initially, it was 100% his appearance and disability since it led to him caged like an animal to be put on display.
but after being let out of the cage & later being taken in by arlecchino, he dislikes how cowardly he feels. unable to even set foot in fontaine and show his face again to face silvaus again. he was originally really angry that silvanus didnt somehow step in and save him but when the other house of hearth members start giving him updates about silvanus' health condition after they nearly worked themself to death while building a case against their parents in court. to make sure nikolai got his justice even though silvanus had no idea if he was dead or alive. he could be angry anymore but uses the 'i dont need to complicate her life after everything she went through for my sake. she deserves closure' excuse to never talk/see her again
7. what is the thing your oc likes the most about themselves?
he knows that hes a good personal with good values, even though he knows the fatui in general have unsavory practices but its a means to an end to make the world a better place.
he knows that his values of individual people>group led him to be very good at forming connections will all kinds of people regardless if theyre for or against the fatui. his personal ideals bring value to the fatui so that they can change the world for the better

i dont think this is silly at all, but im not sure if im the best person to ask since 90% of this blog is my own fursona art 💀but i can share a few ideas!
if you want to make a fursona and/or share concept art of your sona without having to actually draw, you could try checking out piccrew and seeing if there are any you like! theyre similar to ye old character makers from deviantart before flash died - most of them are humans but theres a few really nice furry ones
speaking of deviantart - you can also just go onto various websites (including tumblr, but also DA, pinterest, honestly even google) and search "free to use / f2u character base" , many of these bases are compatible with really simple art programs like ms paint -- it would basically be like using a coloring book to fill out the details of your own sona :) just make sure you credit/link back to the maker of the base if you do post it online!
if youre a writer -- or even just like talking about your sonas/ocs lore -- you can post about that!
if you have money, you can commission artists for art of your sona and reblog (or repost - with credit) onto your blog to keep a collection of art!
one of my favorite ways to recreate ocs is on ponytown ! even if you dont care much for mlp, or dont want to play the game itself, you could still use the character creator to make really cool mockups of your ocs/sonas (there are options for dogs/cats/dragons/etc, not just ponies!) -- theres options to export the images straight off of PT into pngs and even gifs!
most people dont talk about this much anymore, but honestly, you can roleplay. i feel like rp fell out of the general furry fandom because its seen as "cringy", but thats bs - as long as everyone involved is a willing participant and having fun, then go crazy! you can rp on your blog, make "muse" posts (i dont know how to explain this very well - look up "rp muse" on here for some examples) etc to help develop your sona/ocs more!
EDIT TO ADD: i somehow completely forgot furry memes exist. u can absolutely just reblog a ton of memes to get into the vibe of your fursona. something i like to do on my personal blog is tag specific memes with the names of my ocs (or my friends ocs) to get a vibe for that character specifically :)
ETA: similar to the above, you can also just make pinterest moodboards for your characters and post those here as well!

OK SO All of my pirates are different ocs and i give them all different flags. So ill send my 2 fav oc ones :P and describe what i would make MINE (checkerboard print, aqua/purple, that winged heart symbol in all black to look like the clandestine bartskull. teehee)
1 is my oc mina's flag, her colors r teal and black! 2 is my oc catalina's flag, his colors r purple and yellow :]

so jsyk NONE of their outfits are what theyd actually wear (excluding catalinas robe). I dont stitch in pirate HAHA
far left is an old oc some ppl may recognize, her name is hope loomis! Shes a (lvl 70) witchdoctor, blind, and captain of a pirate crew. shes no longer my main oc but i still love her and her crew :P
Since hes relevant to her ill go out of order and say him now: the one in the middle is lawrence nightingale, part of hope's crew, her best friend, a musketeer. (Hes my main pirate for playing, hes lvl 70) He has a bit of a sour disposition and he and hope argue a lot but they care for each other a lot. I also ship him with kane hehehe
Ok middle left is catalina, like i mentioned earlier. Actually ive posted him before, hes a catalan shapeshifter who likes to pretend to be a human amongst people to troll them mostly teehee :P hes a (lvl 46) witchdoctor in game but in his lore he just knows some magic.
Next to catalina is the aforementioned Mina mitchell, shes a (lvl 65) swashbuckler and an emo girl. I dont have much lore for her to be honest but shes just so cute and awesome. She has spiky short twin pigtails. I think ive posted a drawing of her on this blog before under her tag mina
Middle right (orange) is Maeve, shes part of my new main crew! (The other 2 arent in game) shes a (lvl 7, bc i KEEP REMAKING MY BUCKS) buccaneer. Shes also part fox and from marleybone! shes really cool and awesome and sweet and shes best friends with shannon (leader of her crew).
Right is Stormy Edwards, hes kinda new and also his character looks nothing like his actual design lol other than that hes green. Hes a privateer (lvl 7, again i keep remaking themmmm) and hes EVIL!<3 he also has a toxic gay thing going on with vito (witchdoctor with maeve and shannon) and hes just kinda fucked up :P
34: what are the hardest and easiest parts of the game for you?
OK SOOOOO I love the strategy of it all TBH. It was really hard at first but ive picked it up pretty well i think. The hardest part was figuring out how to do gear correctly and what stats to prioritize, which im probably still not perfect at but i think ive gotten it down now. I also hate ship fighting 😭 But yeah easiest is probably just combat i love it i love the battle system. And to be MORE specific ranged combat is easiest for me.

I think people get really caught up in accuracy sometimes, and having to justify why something doesnt match canon, when like. you can just go wild ? you can do shit just because its fun you dont need a Reason to remove smurfs or change them or not including Fuckign Harold in your lore. everyone shoudl be doing more stupid shit for fun
