瀧田 is usually Takita or Takida, potentially Tatsuta. Oh dear, that makes me hungry—it's written with a different character but 竜田揚げ tatsuta-age is a type of fried chicken 🤤

瀧 means waterfall, rapids, or cascade. It's read たき, ロウ, or ソウ. It actually appears only in names because it's a variant of 滝, which has the same readings. But if you've been paying attention to radicals, this is not a surprise!

Take away the water radical 氵 and you have 龍 and 竜, both of which mean dragon! (龍 is a variant of 竜.) They share the readings たつ, リュウ, リョウ, and ロウ, while 竜 can also be read いせ.

I've queued this post for the Year of the Dragon (in Japan, anyway; China not quite yet), but actually, neither of these characters is used for the zodiac dragon. He is written differently: 辰, read たつ, シン, or ジン.

Anyway, now for something simple! 田 means rice field or rice paddy. It's read た or デン.
