You huffed, feeling the aggravation that your cousin left you with seeping in you just a tad more easily than your regular, sober self. Honestly, you weren’t quite sure exactly what it was, but the two of you never seemed to get along well.

Things felt like it went from bad to worse the moment she had to come live with you, her parents passing away years ago in an accident when you were thirteen, and she was twelve. Long gone were the days of just tolerating her on birthdays and holidays once she had cried and begged to live with you. You parents couldn’t say no, instantly agreeing to take in your cousin.

‘This would be a good thing,’ they said. You wouldn’t have to be alone anymore, you could get closer and fill that bond that siblings would have, your mother reminiscing on all the times she and your aunt, Aoi’s own mum, and her twin, had spent ‘fun times’ together.

This was supposed to be a good thing.

You downed the drink in your hand, instantly feeling the burn down your throat as you recoiled, having too many to count already. To be honest you lost count sometime ago. The bitter feelings and atmosphere creating a thundering bloom of purple and blue as the much too loud sound vibrated off the floor.

The concert hadn’t even started yet, but the music was already blaring, an introduction to what was about to come. You shot back the soju on the bar, the liquid now burning your throat as you swallowed. Your vision had impaired sometime ago, but you paid it no mind, grabbing the rum and coke glass as you made your way to the main stage of the concert, still feeling bitter over that fact that Aoi was nowhere to be seen.

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

You screamed and cheered as the lights on the stage went off, the crowd of girls around you following suit.

It was happening, your very first concert.

“Ah there you are!”

You turned to the shrill voice of your cousin, still salty that she had left you alone for a good chunk of time. How long? You weren’t sure, all you knew was that you were mad about it!

“What the fuck, where were you?!” You spat, you weren’t in the mood to babysit or miss out on any of this night. The alcohol fuelling you. You supposed that’s why it was called liquid courage.

“Ah don’t worry about it, just went around! Anyway it’s starting!” She perked, head now towards the stage.

You mood completely shifted. This was happening, you were finally going to see your favourite band live, and him…

And with those thoughts, the lights flared as the screaming crowd started louder.

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

You cheered and roared, your arm swung around your cousins shoulders as she held on to your waist as you loudly screamed out the lyrics, the both of you laughing and chanting along with the rest of the fangirls around.

After the first initial song, Suna Rintaro greeted the crowd, talking and slightly stumbling as he introduced the band. He joked and earned a laugh. He was cute after all, there was a reason pretty privilege was a thing, and Suna Rintaro exuded pretty privilege.

Everything felt like a blur, the beat of the music, the cheers from the crowd and Aoi dancing beside you. 3 songs turned into one blend of musicality, and despite reservations earlier, you were having a good time.

Although you maintained that you loved the band equally, you couldn’t deny that Suna was indeed your favourite. Sure, it might’ve been “basic” to find the lead singer the most attractive, but fuck it, everything about him lured you in and you didn’t care.

All too soon did Suna announce the end of the night and you felt a tinge of sadness at the night had to end.

So this was how Cinderella felt.

“Psst, come on let’s go,” Aoi grabbed your hand and made a dash as everyone pushed passed to go to the exits.

“Aoi what?” You questioned, but letting her take the lead none the less.

“Shhh! Come on!” She barely stole you a glance as she pulled you along. Already feeling a headache, you didn’t bother to argue.

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

Aoi lead you as she ducked and weaved like some movie action character that you had to choke back a giggle at. She definitely had her fair share of the drink too.

“What are yo-“

“SHHHH!” She whisper-yelled, her frown prominent as she stared back at you. You lifted your hands in a mock surrender, a zip action placed on your lips as you continued to hold back your laughter. You had been at this for at least 7 minutes now, or so you thought, if you counted correctly, and remembered how many times you restarted. Did you miss any numbers counting?

1, 2…. 3, 4-

“H-hey, who are you?”
