My dad was in Canmore last week and visited the Burgess Shale. He found this fossil there (didn't take it obviously just took a picture of it) and I'm hoping someone on Tumblr might be able to help us ID it. He's thinking it might be a juvenile anomalocaris (I have doubts but I don't know enough to say for sure).

What do you guys do when you want to write but none of your current WIPs are calling to you? I keep opening docs to work on things and immediately losing all drive and it's so frustrating. I'll be itching to write all day while I'm working then as soon as I'm free to do what I want, the urge leaves me.

I love Tomeka so much but she's so hard for me to dress because her style means I have to step way out of my comfort zone. Not that I'm the most fashionable person, or even good at dressing Sims, but I'm less afraid of/bad at the casual styles I usually go for.

i need (want) to add a smocking/shirring to the back of a dress to make it fit better. The dress is sewn without any zippers, so i need quite a bit of elasticity to be able to put it on over my shoulders. to geth the desired fit i think i need to 'take in' abt 10 cm of fabric, but i still will need most of those 10 cm to be able to put the dress on

I’m pretty sure he pretended to be a cat for Natasha and a scientist buddy for Bruce and with Tony he was a guy he ended up dating named Tom (ha ha)? It was a frostiron story but in a twisted fake identity sorta way. I remember they “met” in therapy and at one point Tom got shot and Tony had a breakdown over it but that’s about all I remember.

Okay science tumblr, the internet isn't being helpful. In a post apocalyptic scenario where only a couple people are left alive, would they still catch viruses? I know they stay dormant a long time, but I just wondered the likelihood of things like the cold and the flu. Also while I'm sure infections from cuts and scrapes, food poisoning, etc. would be worse, what about bacterial illnesses like pneumonia or tuberculosis.

And I know that drugs have expiry dates, but how hard and fast are those? If you were exposed to rabies, or stepped on a rusty nail after 10-15 years, and had access to some old vaccines that had been kept cold, would there be any hope they might work? What about antibiotics like azithromycin? Pain killers and anti-inflammatories? How long would those be effective?
