#<- i think these are the tags for blacklists?

gentle and friendly reminder that tag/content blacklists and the block feature are valuable and useful tools for, say, not seeing content of stuff you don't like.
See a ship or media you just don't want to see more of? put it on the blacklist. someone making content you don't like and not tagging it to appear on blacklists? block them.
I promise you this will make you experience better rather than fuming about seeing it in the first place. even if it's smth you think is abhorred, just blacklist a tag or block the person and move on. No matter how many times you rage and talk about it, people are gonna keep making that stuff you don't like; save your energy and your mental wellbeing and just. blacklist and block.
(note: this is talking about fandom stuff, like ships or fandoms or hell even aus or character interpretations. people are here to have fun and it's all fictional, don't waste your energy and mind on things that aren't even real to begin with, I promise you'll feel better)

To be honest Bita, I think the show could have done a bit more with Joe being forced to work as a stand in again. Like linger a few times more on his hesitation to get back in the industry. A few people in the tags have also pointed out that there's a very lack of struggle of Joe in his new body.
What do you think?
Here I am with another unpopular opinion again, but hey. 🤷🏿‍♀️
I don't mind that he didn't struggle with being in a new body. I like that he sat in that hospital, realised that he was in a new body and adapted.
Joe adapts.
Have we seen him struggle with making any decision?
He wanted a guy who would only top so Joe agreed to bottom.
He found out the man of his dreams, the king of his nights, the seed of his soul, was in love with someone else and he immediately made up his mind to break up.
He woke up tied up and he decided to seduce his way out of that problem.
All those things sound unconnected until you realise that this man is a problem solver. He's only ever had himself to rely on. He's never had the luxury of sitting around and waiting for solutions. He sees a problem, finds the root and solution.
The very day that Joe found out he was blacklisted, he made up his mind to get that shady job. Because as far as he was concerned, Wut didn't have a better solution. He wasn't going to sit around and wait till something else showed up.
Now, it's a huge leap from solving mundane problems to just accepting that you're in a stranger's body.
But what else would he do?
I suppose the story could have had him kick up a fuss at the hospital till they put him in a mental ward. But I quite like that our protagonist, for once, used a cool head.
I have no issues with that at all.
Plus, I'm pretty sure he was too grateful to have a loving mother to be too freaked out about everything else.
As for going back to work, I ABSOLUTELY agree!
I wish we'd had at least an episode or two where he got to fucking breathe. I didn't like that he had to go back into the lion's den so soon.
I especially HATE that he's Tong's stand in again. So soon. I hate it.
Going back so soon is making me feel like Ming's grovelling will not last as long as we want it to. Pushing him back into Ming's or it was not what I envisioned for ep05. At least not until the preview clips started dropping.
I wish we'd had more time to explore Joe OUTSIDE of being a stand in.
As for looking for struggle in Joe's new body. Why? Why would anybody want this?
He's spent his first life in loneliness. He's come back to a loving mother who is sick and debt-ladden.
Why do we wish for more trouble internally when we know that so much is already going to happen externally?
Especially if the show is going to focus on Ming being a demon, do we really want Joe having mental breakdowns and identity crises in the midst of all that?
Please, it's a no for me.
I'd like him to have sexy struggles like the hot maniac who's obsessed with him.
But please keep any other emotional trauma avenues away from my baby. Thank you.

i feel my main issue with the finale is that it’s a bad ending that exists for the wrong reasons.
one of the aspects of c!tommy’s lore that appealed to me was how fundamentally bleak his existence always turns out to be. he’s inherently a tragic character: the consequences for his actions are always overblown in comparison to both the intent and the impact of them. because of his loud personality and even louder voice, he’s the centre of attention in any room he walks into, which makes him a quick and easy scapegoat if you’re looking for someone to blame. he’s stubborn and he’s surviving, but he’s never at peace with his circumstances because something is always missing - his discs, his friends, his family.
i know that suffering for the sake of suffering is not a story beat that many are fond of. i know that many watchers just wanted tommy to heal because he deserved something hopeful. but to see a character whose circumstances are always stagnating, stuck in this tiring cycle where they always find themselves ending up right back where they started… that really appealed to me on a personal level, and so keeping that in mind, i always thought there was a chance his ending was not going to be a happy one.
but to me, this does not feel like his ending. it’s not an ending that exists for c!tommy. it’s not the natural conclusion to his story. this was an ending made to excuse c!dream’s entire villain arc instead. c!tommy’s characterisation as a victim did not matter here, because characterising c!dream as a victim instead was the intended goal. the abuse c!dream inflicted on c!tommy is less important than desperately clutching at straws to make a character, that we as an audience have no reason to view as sympathetic, ‘worthy’ of our sympathy. the narrative is desperate to give room for c!dream to have a second chance, something that comes at the cost of enabling victim blaming against a canonical child abuse survivor.
when c!tommy, in the haze of memory loss, befriends his abuser, i don’t think it was intended to be tragic. it could and should have been, because c!tommy having no recollection of anything is a good set-up that would leave him vulnerable, open to c!dream’s manipulation once again because he doesn’t know who to avoid and who not to trust. but it isn’t trying to be unsettling when we see c!tommy unknowingly befriending his abuser; it’s meant to be a sign of hope that now everything has been reset, maybe there could be peace again. it doesn’t work, because the viewers remember everything even if the characters don’t. instead the amnesia plot line feels like a flimsy method of making a blank slate and a fresh new start where c!dream can avoid the consequences of his actions completely. this is a unintentional bad ending for c!tommy, because he’s placed in a position where he will grow to trust someone who has the full capacity to hurt him, but it’s an intentional good ending for c!dream and it seems that’s where the cc’s priorities lie.
