i always feel bad when i see how the point of a lot of saiki's personality traits flew right over the heads of a lot of fans due to him being an unreliable narrator and a tsundere lol.. so a lot of things he says are immediately proved to be untrue and often just him putting up a front, but some people dont pick up on it..
like i see a lot of "haha saiki would never want to watch a romance movie" guys there is an entire chapter (170) dedicated to him being like "i much prefer mysteries to romance stories.." and then immediately becoming absolutely enamored with a romance story.. he was lying, guys, LMAO
less specific ones include:
"i hate children, they annoy me" *goes out of his way to help kids, comfort them, be kind to them, etc.*
"i only use my powers for self gain/my own convenience." "anyway my mama told me to never use my powers selfishly so i always use them to help people and i try my best not to use them for personal gain<3"
"those guys are so annoying, i would never hang out with them willingly." "yeah it took them about two sentences to convince me to go with them. their thoughts seemed like they really wanted me to go, so i did. i didnt want them to be upset. not that i care about them or anything."
(sorry i post about this kind of thing a lot, i just giggle a lot at how the entire manga is so easily misinterpreted and thousands of people have watched the show but didnt pick up on the main characters most defining character traits and frequent bits.. i think there needs to be a masterlist or something disproving all the extremely common misconceptions about saiki k lol)

Donna Noble is so powerful in how grounded she is. The first time we meet her, she saw the Doctor was so deep in his anger and grief he was going too far with the alien spider, and she told him "Doctor, you can stop now." He snapped back immediately into reality. Their journey ends this week with her telling him "Doctor, you can stop now," and the Doctor once again listens to her and accepts it's true to the point he tells so to himself.
Donna Noble not just has saved the world, her family, her home, herself, and the universe a couple of times, but also she saved her best friend many times over, and built a life for herself so good she was able to bring him back to it

no but i need to know how hugh “phillip the baker dilf” grant pulled benoit “the greatest detective in the world” blanc??? personally i think it would be very funny if said greatest detective in the world was completely oblivious to hugh grant’s flirting until said baker dilf, in true romcom fashion, literally wrote his phone number with frosting on a donut for him or something.

i don’t know if anybody else needs to hear this but -
go do that thing you need to do. whether it’s cleaning, checking the mail, doing laundry. do it. divide it up into bite sized pieces or tackle it all at once; whatever works for your brain. get yourself a lil treat (favorite coffee, snack, album, show) and do it

the fact that merlin is trending just proves my point that 2010 tumblr still exists somewhere on this site…
but also i met colin morgan through work a couple of months ago and thank GOD i had mentally blocked out that phase of my internet life bc i probs would have cringed with embarrassment
but no instead we just made small talk about working away and how nice it is to wake up in your own apartment like my 15 y/o self would have been so shocked at the idea that you can just TALK to people that you grew up watching on TV/in films

There goes our possible extra content and they chopped off some extra Minthara complexity. Fuck you Larian for bending to the masses who for some reason delude themselves into thinking they know Minthara better than the writers, and big middle finger to anyone who mass sent reports to them demanding they cut it.

I've had a few hours of sleep and some time to process and I have A LOT of emotions about Ashton right now.
Like. The thing I keep circling back to is everyone EVERYONE is afraid, Ashton included. But Ash pours their fear into rage and fuel, clings to the hope that their actions will keep others alive for just a little longer.
Last time they didn't get to chose their fate, this time they did. They poured all their rage and pain into hope that it would keep them alive long enough without involving and risking their family.
It wasn't selfless. It was selfish in many ways. A determined grab for control of fate, a chance to BE something, protection for someone they love who was uncertain of the path ahead.
Is it selfish to protect your friends? Ultimately yes.
And when it failed? When their one constant, their rage, failed them? Their friends strode into danger anyway. Ashton did everything they could to keep them away. Because they would stop them. Because they would get hurt trying.
Ashton took the fall, again.
But this time they didn't wake up alone.
