Rei “Bubblegum” Oroku is scared. Really scared. And it takes a lot to scare Bubblegum at this point. Karai, her big sister, has been gone for 4 days. Karai leaving isn’t unusual but she always, no matter what, tells Bubblegum how long she’ll be gone. This time she just disappeared and Bubblegum has put everything on hold, her pop star shows, press conference, her dads ninja stuff. Everything until she can find Karai.
After a long night of searching and finding nothing she sends out foot soldiers to search as she rests for a few hours. She stops outside of her sisters room and cuddles into her sisters bed like she used to do when they were kids and she would get scared.
“Karai, where are you?”
This is what happens after the turtles tell Karai that she is Splinters daughter and she switches sides.

It had been a difficult decision for Leonardo and the turtles to tell Karai about her connection to their father. It had been even harder (and physically painful) to get her to agree to a meeting with him but at the end of the day and after a lot of convincing, their sister was finally home.
There was a lot of cry.
I loved this storyline from the 2012 series, minus the weirdness between Karai and Leo, so I’m straight up stealing it for my version of the turtles.

Donnie’s not . . . the best liar. Also that design of Mona is almost definitely going to change
This is my play on the whole Donnie x April thing from the 2k12 series. In my version Donnie acearo but feels weird about it since none of his brothers are like that. Leo is super into Usagi, Raph is in a long term healthy and stable relationship with Mona, and Micky’s into everybody. So he lies and says he totally likes someone and his brain went through the list of acceptable candidates and picked the one that was the most conventional and before he could think of the dozens of reasons not to say April “big sister” O’Neil, the words were already out of his mouth. Oops.

With Casey and April living in the same apartment, it’s an inevitability that Casey stubbles home bloody and bruised. Something April gives him an earful for.

Micky and Leo ran into trouble on the rooftops of New York, the Oroku sisters. Luckily, Leo knows how to handle Karai and Micky and Bubblegum always go soft on each other. Leo predicted his brother and him would prevail in this fight. . . At least that was until Karai said:
“Let’s trade dance partners!”
And all the sudden the annoying acrobat in ballet shoes was dancing on top of his shoulders and Micky took a punch to the face.
“What’s the matter Da Vinci? Don’t like to dance like your brother?”
“Just stay still!”
“Bubblegum! I think you’re sister just broke my nose!”

I was thinking rationally! Mickey was injured, you had to carry him, and Donnie’s too valuable to lose! It was the only rational option!
To lock us out while a thousand foot soldiers had you cornered?! That was rational? What do you mean Donnie’s too valuable?
I mean his intellect is one of the only ways we survive. He’s irreplaceable.
And you aren’t?!
I’m the leader Raph! It’s my job to make the hard call! To lay my life down for you all!

Raph . . . This-this is our fight now. I can’t just stop being the leader. We can’t just stop fighting.
I know. I know that but let us help you. Me, Donnie, Micky we want to help you, so maybe this doesn’t have to all be on you.

If you ever pull something like that again I will skin you alive.
Leo then pulled something like that again lol. In my version of Tmnt Splinter was a good sensei but not a great father. He had just lost his wife, daughter, his home, and his humanity so he wasn’t in the best place to raise a family but he eventually got better at parenting but it took him a long while. Leo was the main caretaker for his brothers while splinter got his life together and that messed him up.

Some things never change between the Oroku sisters, Karai will always hold up Bubblegum no matter how big she gets.
In my version of tmnt, Karai is about 20 while Bubblegum is 15, for reference Leonardo, the oldest of the turtles, is 17.

When I say Casey Jones is down bad I mean Casey Jones is down BAD.
This is the night Casey really got how much he likes April O’Neil, it’s after a long day of working the antique shop and when the thunderstorm hit they decided to play cards on the cashier counter. April kicked his ass and as he was pouting he saw how happy she was and just didn’t care about winning anymore. Something his best friend, Raphael would say is a universal impossibility to get Casey Jones to loose his competitive edge, but from then on April always seemed to win their card games.
