In the show, Suki is literally flawless. Not in a complimentary way, but in the sense that she has no character flaws. No problems, nothing to overcome, nothing to use to grow. That makes her a very flat and uninteresting character. Not to mention, she's alongside five heavily flawed and complex characters, so it made her flawlessness stand out even more. That just made her very boring and very difficult to identify with. After a few rewatches, i find myself wanting to skip her scenes. she just don't bring any interest for me anymore.

ik a lot of people love her because "feminist, independent queen" but that's so annoying to me. This is coming from a feminist: I would much rather have a female protagonist have flaws to balance her positive traits then have a protagonist be flawless in the name of giving girls a perfect role model. you need flaws to be real; without them, it creates the idea that you need to be perfect to be successful/respected (it's the same issue with hermione in the movies, for any hp fans out there). That's also why Katara and Toph are so good. They are real people and highlight very real flaws, as well as being insane powerhouses.

TL;DR: i find her boring and no longer enjoy content that includes her

i love me some good Toph memes, but one of my biggest pet peeves of this fandom is people saying that Toph is facing the wrong direction in this picture. we see her bend with this form so many times, she is just halfway through the move

i would love to see some content on Azulan's reign. we could see not only Uncle Iroh & Ozai's childhoods, but also get in sight on their mother. and why Azulan had his children so far apart. There is clearly a vast age difference between Iroh and Ozai, which seems odd to me. It could be fertility issues, or it could be a new need for another heir when Iroh became a teenager. So many possibilities, so much possible content

i live for ships that are formed from main characters having to leave their friends and the friends are left to spend time together, just the two of them

i don't want to start a whole tlok discourse, but one of the worse things that tlok did was completely ruin the white lotus. they were a small, undercover group of powerful masters. in tlok they were what? politicians? zuko, katara, and toph would be members of the white lotus, had it stayed the same as it was in atla. but by making it just guards, it became boring and so insignificant.

kataang domestic fluff headcanon: Katara always wears Aang's clothes

- ofc they're too big for her

- she always wears his robes to sleep when he's away

- when Aang was out at the market she tried on one of his robes for fun, and he came home to see her in air nomad clothing. he started tearing up and Katara thought she offended him, but he was so happy to see the love of his life express his culture

- so she makes a mental note to wear it every once and a while

- A few weeks after Bumi was born, Aang had to go do his ~avatar duties~ without Bumi and Katara. before he left he was scared that Bumi would forget him while he was gone, so Katara promised to swaddle Bumi in Aang's robes so Bumi always has Aang's scent

- when Katara was pregnant with Tenzin, her water broke sooner than expected and she hadn't prepared clothes to give birth in yet. she threw on one of Aang's robes, because it gives her comfort.

i really wish Sokka shaved his head before the invasion like Aang did. like obviously Aang did his for his culture, but if Sokka's hair was shaved in the beginning of the show, shouldn't he have shaved it again for the same reason? idk it's just smth that's always bothered me

you ever think about how if the air nomads never tried to send aang to the western air temple, the gaang never would have met, katara and sokka would've never left the southern water tribe, toph would've never been free of her parents, zuko probably wouldn't have redemed himself or the fire nation, and azula might've become the firelord

idk if this is common knowledge but smth i've realized is that when Aang goes into the avatar state, he's surrounded by the elements he's mastered

we only see air for the most of the show cause it's the only element he'd completely mastered while he was still able to go into the avatar state. all the way up until the final fight.
