9 Selfies from 2023!
2023 on the whole was pretty fucking great. Yes it may have turned into a giant cluster fuck at some points but I met some really cool new people. This was a year I really challenged myself, put myself out there and tried new things and it has mostly, been pretty great.
I qualified in my profession, saw a friend get married, went to Edinburgh with my best friend the trip of a life time, met Don Broco the band that started it all for me (woo!), Hot Milk and Holding Absence, attended 9 gigs with 7 of those being in November, went to pride again, saw a Little Life at the theatre, escape room, pumpkin picking, fireworks and lot of late night talks and deep emotions.
I got my heart broken this year and let me tell you, a true friend is someone who sits with you in -4 on a freezing cold bench while I cry and talk for over 5 hours. Or someone who hugs me, takes me on a drive and listens (while also threatening to kill the dude who hurt me). Lessons have been learnt, all a bittersweet experience.
Many rises, many falls but this year has shown me that I have some really amazing people in my life and I am so grateful for them and their endless support. Time is very weird in my brain, this year has been a blur of love, loss, joy and mess in all the ways.
2024 is the year of focusing on me, going a bit insane and having a quarter life crisis but that's what life is all about!

9 Selfies from 2022!
2022 has been insane in such a good way. I have had two jobs, I have been challenged and had my entire career thrown up in the air and pointed in a new direction. Been on some amazing adventures with my best friends from ghost hunting, clubbing, theatres, pride and actually going out and exploring! Attended a wedding, been to many many amazing concerts and book signings. Went on holiday and of course been trying to figure out that classic work/life balance.
Towards the end of the year I started attending therapy which has been something I know I ~needed~ for a while but kept putting it off but I DID it and know so much is going to change. 2023 is a year of looking after ME.
2023 is going to be a BIG one I know it!

Harry’s House
This album is so different, very synthetic and for some reason I wasn’t expecting it to go in that direction (hah). It’s so interesting to see how much his style and music is developing. I really get why this album is called Harry’s House. These songs and lyrics feel a lot more personal and intimate. It’s like they’re littered with lots of small inside jokes only he and a few people will get and I love that a lot. As he is letting us in but still keeping parts of him hidden. His way with words, metaphors to create images is beautiful he is such a good writer. Also so funny to see him be more open about drugs and his sex life, like hell yes Harry love that for you- he’s an adult and it’s nice he feels he can sing about that as his audience has grown with him. I hope I get to see this on tour considering I sadly had to get a refund for Love on Tour.
Favourites: Love of my life, Daylight, Keep Driving and Little Freak.
Music for a Sushi Restaurant- Omg this song title though ahh. The bass is killing it on this song. IT’S CAUSE I LOVE YOU BABE. This is not what I expected at all omg such synth music wow a very different direction but wow. SUBA DUBA DOOO. This is such a dancey song though wow
Late Night Talking- EVERY song he is calling everyone babe ahh. This song is so sweet aww. The image on his youtube page is very cute. I definitely like this one.
Grapejuice- ‘There’s never been someone so perfect for me’ wow. Another super sweet song. Like Harry my dude we can see you’re so in love ahhh.
As It Was- Of course I love this song. Super catchy and yes TikTok is partially to blame. But the video as well is so artistic and beautifully done. Such a good catchy beat. You know it’s not the same as it wassssss.
Daylight- Whoah c*caine okay Harry I see you. His lyrics and metaphors astound me. I really like this one. I love the line about spoons and honey- so creative at painting a picture. Love how this is about time zones and how much distance and difference suck tbh.
Little Freak- GREEN AND BLUE. Idk why this is getting me emotional? Like wow. The line about someone sitting on the kitchen counter woo. I think there are a lot of personal little references that mean a lot to him and were not meant to know the full story and I love that.
Matilda- Oh damn. I think this song is going to hit a lot of people really hard. A song about a tough family situation, growing apart and feeling unloved. How the final verse changes ahhh.
Cinema- Whoahhhh okay Harry damn. Did not expect that. I am dumb as hell and not picking up on what the metaphor for cinema is. Sex? I’m too ace for this. I think it’s about insecurity, wanting to be wanted and bask in the glow with someone. The end verse was fun!
Daydreaming- This one is going to be very catchy I can feel it. The trumpets woooo. Okay I really like this one.
Keep Driving- Ooh I like this. Very much summer vibes and a road trip with friends and loved ones. Choke her with a sea view…sure man love that for you.
Satellite- Aww another song about missing someone. The synth and distortion is interesting.
Boyfriends- I think I’m really going to like this one. His voice is so sweet. Very emotional eep.
Love Of My Life- Did someone say best till last ME. I LOVE this a lot omg. Why is it so sadddd and happy at the same time.
