You peel the pain relief straps off of Jungkook’s back, as the crowd cheers amongst the walls of the stadium. The crowd is hungry for more, as they attempt to applaud and shout with all of the energy in them, cheering for more performances to start.
You look at Jungkook with concern in your eyes, as sweat runs down his pale face. His breathing is short and fast, as he grabs onto your waist for comfort, and his makeup artist runs toward him with a cold bottle of water, and a hand towel to wrap around his neck.
“Jungkook, you can’t keep going on like this if you can’t take it,” you run your fingers through his hair, which seems to calm him down a bit. The makeup artist gives the water bottle to you, and you nod softly.
Jungkook had just finished off his solo stage, and Taehyung was getting ready to step into the spotlight. Taehyung spots you looking at him, and you smile at him weakly, wishing him good luck through quiet murmurs.
The crowd roars with happiness, and your attention is brought back to Jungkook. “Jungkook—“
“Y/n...you shouldn’t be here.” he looks up at you tiredly, with tears brimming his eyes. His breathing and his back pain didn’t seem to do the pain in his eyes justice. He was more hurt than you could see.
You raise an eyebrow at his words. “Jungkook, what do you mean?”
His grip on your waist is tighter, as he pulls you toward him. You place the water bottle beside him. “You were meant to go to Paris, and study at a state of the art academy for Visual Arts. You were supposed to major, and find an apartment near the Eiffel Tower, and have a good view of the city. Baby, you were supposed to have an amazing future, and I feel like I took that away from you.” You were about to object, when he flashed you a sad look, telling you he had more to say.” Don’t you feel that way too, Y/n?”
You had to admit, that your dreams of living in France and majoring with a Visual Arts degree were once the most important goals of your life. If you hadn’t met Jungkook, you would probably be at Paris that very minute, instead of helping him throughout his dreams of being an inspiring superstar, wanting to impact the world in good ways. But something inside you didn’t break when you decided to stay for Jungkook. Rather, your heart felt light and happy with the decision you had made for yourself and the sake of your relationship.
You shake your head, and cup Jungkook’s cheeks, making him look at you. “You didn’t take anything away from me. You gave me everything I ever needed, and staying for you was the best decision I have ever made.”
His breaths were normal now, as he grabbed your hands and slipped them through the gaps of his fingers, relieved with your reply. He kissed your right hand and looked up at you again, this time with his eyes glowing in love and care. “I love you so much, Y/n.”
You smiled, at the guy in front of you, and the life you were heading towards. “I love you too.”

My blood boils ever so slightly, as time passes slowly, with the clock above the diner’s jukebox to taunt me and make me think about the precious time I was wasting.
The diner is busy at this hour, with so many students asking for coffee, and maybe a pancake or two if they decided to stay in the disruptive atmosphere of coffee machines and the clatter of plates.
And like the rare few, I decided to stay at the diner for a pile of pancakes, decorated with berries and vanilla ice cream on the side, whilst waiting for an old, distant friend to come over.
As if my thoughts had summoned the guy I had been thinking about, a boy with brown hair slid into the booth across from me, grabbing the cup of soda that sat loosely in my hand.
“Thinking about someone?”
Amongst a few awkward glances here and there, and my mind going crazy over the fact that this boy took my cup of soda, I smile politely, before grabbing the cup from him.
“If you thought I was thinking about you, then you are absolutely wrong.”
He chuckles, throwing his head back to rest against the leather booth-seat.  “The way you’re putting it right now, I think you were thinking about me.”
I don't answer his recall, and just sit there quietly, staring at my empty plate of what used to be pancakes.
Finally, something like a smile tugs at his lips, as he grabs a fork and places my plate of pancakes in front of him.
“You know, it takes a lot of effort to find a girl you’d want to spend a future with, but not a lot if you tried hard enough.”
My thoughts waver as I tilt my head in confusion to his sudden change of subject.
His smile widened then faded when I took too long to comprehend his words.
Finally baffled and shocked by his sudden remark, I shake my head and laugh, wondering if my assumptions were true.
He raises an eyebrow, probably intrigued with the expression my face held.
“Do you like me?” I ask, with disbelief rolling against the words I spoke.
He doesn’t take his time when he answers my question, but rather says it as if it wasn’t that big of a deal.
“As much as you enjoyed your half of the pancakes.”
I chuckle, almost choking on the air I breathed in.
Then my eyes widened.
“Oh my god, wait.”

“What if stars were like, some sort of god, or person?” I stared up at the night sky adorned with speckles of white, before looking at Jimin with glimmering eyes.
He notices my gaze, and tucks my hair behind my ear, admiring the soft features that lay against my skin.
I smile as he touches me softly, using his fingers to trace my cheekbones below the dim moonlight.
“If those stars are people, or are some kind of gods,” Jimin pulled me closer to his chest, holding me in the warmth of his arms.” Then you would be the brightest star up there.”
I let his fingers play with my hair, like we were running out of time, and my smile widens, with a giggle arising from my chest.
“But promise me something, Y/n?”
I hum in response, while trying to count all of the bright stars I could see in the jet-black sky.
Jimin kissed my left cheek suddenly, interrupting my little daze.
When I return my gaze to him, the glow in his eyes fade, along with that perfect smile of his.
“Promise me that you won’t leave so soon.” He whispers, with a tinge of pain laced in his words.
My heart beats fast, and a flicker in my stomach wanted me to nod and promise him those exact words.
But how could I, when we really were running out of time, together, under a blanket of stars?
All I do is grab his hand in mine, silently sitting there, beside him.
Just in case it was the last time we were able to sit like this.
