making a book of my fic(s) and running your fingers across the pages while lovingly whispering my precioussss
doing these things with anything I create for fandom, such as meta, headcanons, au nonsense like 'texts from the brodinsons,' etc

piper and leo first meeting and getting to know each other at wilderness school detention
piper and leo trying to one-up each other on who’s had the most delinquent experience
piper and leo making fun of wilderness school and its cheesy slogans
piper and leo laughing at the popular girls and cool jocks from the sidelines
piper and leo absolutely refusing to take formal events seriously and escaping in the middle of them to just walk around the campus
piper standing up for leo when the other kids would bully him and take his things and push him around and call him names. she tells one of them to “eat dirt” and the two of them get taken aback as the kid actually gets on the ground and scoops a handful into his mouth. he’d snap back into reality a second later and spit everything out and run away in fear. piper and leo make for the opposite direction just in case he comes back with reinforcements, but they’d be laughing as they run. “that’s insane, pipes! how’d you do that?” “no idea, but it was worth it”
leo taking the hit for piper without any hesitation after she almost gets caught in one of their shenanigans that would have led to the school sending a report out to her father if she did. “no sir, it was all my fault, no one else was with me sir, yes sir i know it looks like i was in two places at once but im just a fast kid sir, i mean you’ve read my police reports right ahaha”
leo intentionally making his grades low in math because piper is at the bottom of the class and he doesn’t want her to be alone and he helps her out when he can, and the math teacher wondering how this student who has initially gotten straight-A’s in class is suddenly doing so poorly
piper and leo having ridiculous competitions on who could play the better practical joke on coach hedge
coach hedge knowing the sudden increase in pranks on him was piper and leo all along but doesn’t say anything about it for the most part because he’s an aging satyr who has always wanted to be a father and he thinks, so this is what it must feel like to have kids
piper and leo getting caught eventually and then forced to run more laps than usual under the guise of punishment, but really this was coach hedge’s way of secretly training their endurance. the other kids laugh at them at first because wow, what losers, and expect them to not even last three laps until the grins melt off their faces as they watch the two finish eight, nine, ten laps and still keep on going and even having casual conversations as they run, seemingly unbothered and not even looking anywhere near exhausted
piper noticing leo’s shoes starting to wear out, soles peeling off and everything, and the other kids making fun of him behind his back for it. he hasn’t bought new ones in years and they’re falling apart from all those times he’s had to run away from the police. piper decides to use the money her dad left her to buy him new ones. the other kids gawk as he comes to class wearing brand new kicks.
piper and leo building a secret hideout in the woods near the wilderness school dorm to escape all the “normal people.” they find supplies in an abandoned toolshed. they easily sneak out more materials from the school’s supply rooms. leo teaches piper the basics of building a small shelter. piper is a quick learner, plus she watched her dad and grandpa do similar things before. they find out leo has an eye for interior design, and together with piper’s innate sense of style they build a cozy hideout, small enough to be unnoticeable, big enough for the two of them.
they find an old fashioned kerosene lantern in the toolshed. piper tries to light it in their hideout, but leo flinches as she stumbles with the matches. leo takes it gingerly from her and says he’ll light it himself outside. piper side-eyes him at first but notes the genuine concern in his voice. sure enough he returns with a glowing lantern, and they’re both delighted. only later did piper realize he never took the matches with him outside. but she shrugs it off “maybe he has his own pack” it never once crosses her mind afterward.
they fill their hideout with things they don’t want the other kids and teachers to find: stolen items, snacks, things from their home, school projects they were actually proud of, drawings of random stuff. leo puts up a picture of his mom. piper puts up a picture of her father and grandfather holding her as a baby. piper points to one drawing leo put up. “is that a flying ship?” “yeah, just something i remember drawing when i was younger” “huh, crazy” and they carry on.
piper and leo suddenly encountering an actual monster in the woods one night, and they both freak out but find themselves actually being able to dodge and outrun the monster’s attacks. hedge eventually rescues them and kills the monster, and before the two could ask questions he immediately performs a memory erasing spell with his nature magic, because no, it’s not time for them to know yet. and coach does everything he can to give them even just a few more moments of peace away from the dangers of the demigod life before he can take them to camp.
piper and leo finding comfort in each other because up until they met they’ve never found anyone as reckless and rebellious and impulsive as themselves before, and because with each other they finally get to be the teenagers their lives didn’t allow them to be.

Jason Grace Headcanons!

He uses bluelight glasses for his computer.
He taught Leo how to tie a tie.
He likes classic music. Like, if you can call it 'classic' in any way, shape or form, he likes it. (classical piano, classic rock, etc.)
Reyna was his first kiss because they kissed just to say they had done it.
Chronic headaches. No arguing.
He and Reyna mildly abused the position of praetor to get Octavian to shut up.
He's asexual for sure, possibly biromantic. Maybe demiromantic, but I couldn't tell you for certain.
His favorite Taylor Swift era is 1989, favorite song is New Romantics.
He was scared of ducks when he was like, five.
5SOS, One Direction, and OneRepublic. That's it.
ignoring ToA- he, Piper, and Leo all went to a Conan Gray concert because Piper somehow got great tickets for dirt cheap and she wanted one last hurrah before she moved to Oklahoma.
He has to wear an ankle brace sometimes because he broke it when he was like, 14 and it got better, but it hurts when he gets really stressed.
He would've loved Renegades by Marissa Meyer.
His favorite gift he ever got was from Leo for his birthday. It was a snow globe and it had Festus, with lightning bolts shooting everywhere and when you shook it, the bolts flashed.
His favorite flowers are lilies and yellow roses.
He hates gummy bears and gummy worms.
He has dyscalculia rather than dyslexia.
He owns like, five HydroFlasks.
He's the friend who says "Hydrate or diedrate." but then needs to be reminded of that himself.
ALSO Leo was his bi awakening, I don't make the rules.

Headcanons about skull hehe
okay here we go.
i don't really have TOO many, but i'll see what i can do.
i think that george can hear him sometimes. like only when he's focusing or in a calm, quiet place.
he's also constantly critiquing george's recipes, even though he can't eat them.
i don't like the skull liking lucy headcanons, that's weird.
but he sure as hell doesn't like lockwood.
from like, the moment he sees that lucy and lockwood could be a thing, he's like nopenopenope
lockwood's too cocky, too over-confident, full of himself
all of the reasons lockwood doesn't like kipps, skull doesn't like lockwood
when he realizes there's nothing he can do, lucy doesn't care, he's like "fine"
he'll tell lucy what NOT to do, but he won't tell her what to do
(partially because he doesn't actually know)
he likes holly
she's so sunshine-y that like, how could you not?

Okay if Jason and Reyna is totally a no, it either should have Jason and Leo or single!Jason.
On that note, Piper and Jason should not have been a thing. You can't build a relationship with fake memories, you just can't.
But also, what the heck was up with Piper and Shel? Going off of canon, literally two months after Jason's death, Piper's already dating someone new? And sure, maybe she wasn't ever truly attracted to him, but she still cared for him. She still had some sort of relationship with him, even if it wasn't ever romantic.
Like, Rick, I understand you want representation, but this is not the way to go about it. Having Piper date someone else of the same gender is totally cool, that's great, but you could have put that in TSATS and not, you know, a mere two months after. That just makes Shel seem like a rebound and does nothing.
So you know what should've happened? Piper should've taken a break from all romance. She can figure out her sexuality first and if she ever truly felt anything for Jason or if that was fake too.
She'll confide in Leo, her best friend. They'll mourn Jason. During these conversations, Leo will realize he likes guys. Piper will realize she doesn't.
Piper starts hanging out with Reyna even more now. She joins the Hunt and is content off in the woods with a bunch of immortal girlfriends. (Interpret that last bit however you want.)
That's what should've happened.

Why Didn't Jason Remember Reyna?
Okay so I'm a diehard Jeyna shipper and Jason stan and Reyna stan respectively.
And it always made me so sad that Jason didn't remember Reyna, while Percy remembered Annabeth.
But the thing is? Jason did remember her. Maybe not in the way that Percy knew Annabeth, but he knew there was someone he should miss. Someone he cared about.
Think of it this way. Percy didn't necessarily remember Annabeth because of his love for her, he could have remembered her because Hera let him.
We see Chiron's conversation with Jason, we see Jason's reaction at the arrival at CHB, he knows that's enemy territory. Jason was at Camp Jupiter for years, raised in a strict Roman society. He would have been educated on the Greeks and taught that they were enemies.
But Percy wasn't. In The Titan's Curse, he's like "What's so bad about San Francisco?" (Yes, I know that was also partially about Mount Othrys but shh) The Greek demigods were hardly ever told about other pantheons. Percy wouldn't have felt any sense of hatred towards the Romans, he would have just thought "Oh, fellow demigods, cool." (Like when he refrained from killing or hurting the demigods on Kronos' side too badly in The Last Olympian.)
If Hera had let Jason remember Reyna, he most likely would have pieced things together much more quickly. He would've thought "I need to get out of here and find Reyna." Jason is naturally a pacifist and he wouldn't have wanted anyone to get hurt, so it's just better to run. He finishes the quest (because he's noble like that) and leaves.
So this then begs the question- what would have happened if Jason somehow made his way back to Camp Jupiter? Spark Notes Version: he would head back, meet the Hunters along the way, and see Reyna when he gets back. Then we have maybe four months-ish (???) until Percy comes. This gives Jason enough time to become settled in again and finally start dating Reyna.
Then Percy comes along. But Jason hasn't told Reyna everything that happened while he was away. Jason automatically realizes that "Oh no, this is Percy Jackson, from the enemy camp we're not supposed to interact with."
I think Reyna would want to train him as a Roman demigod and try to brainwash him (for lack of a better word) and Jason's like "No, we need to send him back and get rid of him, now." This also raises an interesting point with Nico, but we'll talk about that later.
Reyna agrees to send him back, but she puts him on the quest first.
When the CHB demigods come in, Jason comes to the grudging realization that he does need to work with them and this is inevitable. He's part of the Seven. So he goes on the quest and ends up making some pretty great friendships. (I have some headcanons about this, feel free to ask.)
He then comes back and everyone works on bridging the gap between the two camps with an exchange program and he's still working on recognition for the minor gods.
Instead of going to the all-boys school, he enrolls in some community college classes in New Rome. He's in a healthy relationship with Reyna, he started seeing a therapist, he's going pretty good.
Then The Burning Maze rolls around. He helps Lester. He doesn't make it out alive.
Reyna is heartbroken. But she goes on to join the Hunters of Artemis because as much as she loves camp, she wants to see what's outside.

i was reading my writing. (aka the one shot that i have not published yet)
and like, dang, it's actually pretty good. (all because of my beta lmao)
but seriously, just because you feel like shit, does not mean you are and it does not mean your writing is.
like, self-deprecation does not take away the facts.
the facts? i wrote a pretty good story. that dialogue? catchy and interesting. that description? absolutely clear and beautiful.
i can tell myself that i'm a horrible writer and that i'm a horrible person, but that doesn't dismiss the words i wrote.
