From 2020, my oc girls, Dejanira (on the left) and Yolane (on the right)!
I enjoy trying different dresses and hairstyles, they're so different from each other and I love comparing them.
I mixed several inspirations, Dejanira is an innkeeper, extravagant and working-class, while Yolane is more Renaissance lady-like. In the end I added a "classical" touch especially to the sleeves.
Lines were done with Clip Studio Paint, colors with Photoshop.

I keep updating the blog with old drawings. These ones dates back to 2018-2019, both depicting Yolane, OC from my original fantasy story Instrumenta.
Yolane needed a complete restyiling since her role and character in the story have changed a lot through the years. These are the first attempts at giving her a noble, yet fragile appearance...

Look who is back on tumblr!
Hello there, I have changed my old username “shisleya” in “rosalbarts” to align with my other social media (Deviantart, Twitter, Instagram in particular is my main account).
I am not very active on twitter and deviantart, but since many people I am following there are moving to the old good tumblr, why not trying to revamp this old account of mine as well?
I had a lot of fun here in the 2010′s! My latest post dates back to 2017, so I want to cover the hole in the past 5 years by posting my favourite drawings and sketches I did in the meantime.
These ones are from 2017-2018 and I still like them! I was slowly transitioning from traditional pencils to digital ones. I’m still very proud of the result since I didn’t want the difference to be too noticeable.
They are all original characters from my and my co-author’s neverending novel -in-progress Instrumenta: from left to right (first image): Deianira, Farid, Nazim, Aki, and then again Aki and Deianira.

[ENG] HELLO EVERYONE! I apologize for disappearing for so long BUT it was for a good reason!!!
At last I open the online orders for the sketchbook about “INSTRUMENTA” I had been working on during the last months.
First of all, what’s INSTRUMENTA?
It’s a series of fantasy novels written by four hands, my co-writer and I are also the illustrators of the project. In this sketchbook we introduce the plot and the characters, with the purpose of publishing the first novel probably by the end of 2017.
(We’re also building a page dedicated to the project, more about this topic in my next updates!)
The sketchbook is a 60 pages book in B/W, A5 format, paperback binding, with both authors’ drawings.
NOTE: THE SKETCHBOOK IS IN ITALIAN, BUT AN ENGLISH TRANSLATION WILL BE PROVIDED INSIDE

Innanzitutto, cos’è INSTRUMENTA?
Nasce come ciclo di romanzi fantasy scritti a quattro mani, io e la mia co-autrice siamo anche le creatrici delle illustrazioni a corredo del progetto. In questo sketchbook autoprodotto vengono introdotti la trama e i personaggi, in vista della pubblicazione del primo romanzo, che avverrà presumibilmente entro fine 2017.
(Stiamo costruendo anche una pagina dedicata esclusivamente al progetto, di più a riguardo nei miei prossimi aggiornamenti!)
Lo sketchbook è composto da 60 pagine in B/N formato A5, rilegatura brossurata, con disegni di entrambe le autrici.
Sono rimate una decina di copie, ma in base alle richieste valuteremo se ristamparne altre.

Dejanira's portrait freely inspired to "Laurel" by Alfons Mucha! I made roses instead of laurel and other little changes. Oh my, something after a whole month without drawing T.T I know I use to be very monotonous in my subjects, but during tough times comfort zones help me to fight art blocks. Never lose optimism, waiting for better times!
