During John Galliano's S/S 1986 Collection finale, he went backstage to the models with a bucket of tepid water, allegedly asking, "May I?" before crowning the models' heads with the bucket. Water consummated the union between the delicate nature of the sheer muslin of the empire-line dresses and the female form. "The black forehead stamps ran down the model's faces 'like blood' (Sibylle de Saint Phalle)." Galliano: Spectacular Fashion

John Galliano SS 1993 Ready-to-Wear 'Filibusters'
opinión: I am once again begging we leave minimalism behind. Where is the unabashed artistry? Galliano brought new life to the (now popular again) austere color palettes and minimalist trends of the time through his use of dauntless colors and ostentatious cuts. The concept of this collection was centered around a sisterhood of pirates left stranded and causing havoc following a shipwreck, featuring main character; 'Olivia the Filibuster.'
