So, your oikawa fics are honestly amazing! I was hoping I could request one based on the song heartbreak hotel by Abigail Barlow where oikawa is trying to woo the reader but she rejects him constantly. Thank you!
oh no it’s been so long since i’ve posted
i stopped watching haikyuu for a while and i kind of fell out of writing! but here i am, and i am back with big plans!
i’d just gotten over a breakup earlier this year so this piece is actually pretty relatable for me haha...
keep the requests coming!!
You stare wide-eyed at the bouquet of flowers that were held to your face. Your attention slowly focuses on the man holding them. It had just dawned upon you, after two long weeks.
Oikawa Tooru had been flirting with you. How could you have been so oblivious?
"Oikawa-kun," you trailed off.
Almost immediately, the hand falls to his side. His fist clenches over the stem of the flowers. “Have I misread the signs? Did I misinterpret the vibes between us?”
In all honesty, you had just gotten broken up with nearly three weeks ago. Oikawa came prancing into your life over a common interest when you bumped into each other in the gym. You enjoyed the company, if you were going to be honest.
The one thing you hadn’t intended on doing was leading the poor guy on. It hadn’t occurred to you that you might have while you were busy keeping your mind off of your ex.
“No, it’s not like that at all!” You quickly came to your own defence. You threw your hands up to shake them to dismiss his doubt. “It’s just that...”
As far as everyone knew, you had just woken up one day and shut yourself out from everybody else. You’d come into the gym and ignore everyone. You would go to class, do your allocated work and go straight home - the entire day without talking to anybody at all.
You just started coming out of your shell after you’d bumped into Oikawa. You’re even getting proper sleep again, and you’re eating as much as a normal college student should be.
He tilts his head in confusion. “What is it?”
You sigh, “I’m getting over a breakup right now. It’s only going to be a month.”
He raises his eyebrow. “Do you want to get back together with him?”
Just three days ago, you were still lying in bed crying over the loss you’ve been mourning over for weeks. But today was different. You’d woken up feeling better than the other days that followed getting dumped. Things just seemed to be a lot brighter than before.
“Of course, I don’t.”
He folds his arms over his chest and rubs his chin. He pouts his lip out as he goes into a deep thought.
Now you start to feel like you should defend yourself. “It’s not that you’re not a great guy, Oikawa-kun! It’s just that I’m not fully over my ex yet and I simply don’t think that you deserve someone who is unsure of their feelings right now.”
You angle your head in a way to catch his gaze. To your surprise, he only continue to look further down to the ground where it would be impossible for you to make eye contact. “I just don’t know exactly what I feel for you right now. I like being with you and spending time with you is always the highlight of my week. I just don’t think you deserve someone who is not sure.”
He hums and nods, seeming to understand what you’d just said. “Do you want me to take a step back?”
You like the attention, if you had to admit. You love the warmth he gave to you every time he was there to keep you company. It’s just that you are not sure of anything right now.
It’s only just starting to come back together for you.
How were you so sure that this wouldn’t end up with you in a fit of rage and a puddle of tears in a few months?
“I really enjoy being with you. I just don’t want to be the one that keeps you waiting when there are other opportunities out there. People who are ready for you.”
He shakes his head. “If you can’t say to my face confidently that you do not want me, then I’m not letting you out of my sight.” He grins, takes a step forward and then held up the flowers to your face again. “You’re too fucking good for me to let go of.”
You snatch the flowers from his hands and grumble under your breath. “Okay, fine. But we go at my pace, got it?” You raise an eyebrow fiercely. “I have too much going on and having a boyfriend is a lot of commitment that I’m just not all for right now.”
His lips stretch into a wide smile. “Anything is worth it for you.”

hello! ^-^ if it's ok with u, i have a kuroo x f-reader request! 💕 kuroo & reader here are aged up & living together, & reader is this kind, timid smol bean! so kuroo's having a hard time balancing stuff in his life and the stress reaches to a point where he unintentionally lashes out on her & leaves to cool down. to try to ease off his stress, she does nice stuff like cook/bake his fave foods & finish his share of chores. when guilty kuroo comes back, he realizes how lucky he is to have her.
Kuroo felt the weight on his shoulders as the look on your face flashed in his mind again. He didn’t mean to say what he said to you. It’s just that everything has been so stressful for him - with his training days, his university classes and his part-time job at the laboratory.
You were only offering him a packed lunch after he came out of the bedroom, all dressed to leave for his class. There was something in your hearty smile and optimistic words that ticked him off and it led him to hurting you with the things he said.
He didn’t even mean it. He didn’t make it to class out of guilt. He went around town trying to find the right thing to give you to make it right.
Alas, 5 hours passed and he’s gone to every single shop he can remember that you’ve dragged him into. He’s gone to every high-end and drugstore makeup, clothing and accessory store. He even tried to do some online shopping, being sure to check your shared wish list.
Yet here he is walking up to your apartment door empty handed along with a heavy heart.
Kuroo opened the door. Instantly, he knew that something was different within the vicinity of the apartment you were sharing. Given his harsh words from earlier that day, he was expecting the aura to feel a lot more gloomy than this.
He can’t pinpoint to what made it feel different, however. He’s been standing at the front door for almost 5 minutes, eyebrows furrowed and his mind still racing to figure out what changed. He tries calling out your name to get his questions answered, but nobody’s answering.
He cautiously tours himself around the place, trying to find what was wrong. For starters, the shoes on the shoe rack looks organised. His textbooks are no longer littering the coffee table, the carpet underneath it is missing and the couch is set up slightly straighter.
Finally making it to the bedroom, this is where he figures it out. The dirty clothes on the floor are no longer there, the bed has been fixed and it smells like flowers instead of the stuffy and sweaty smell that he got used to.
You... cleaned? You finished the chores he was supposed to be on duty for this week. He’d been falling back a few days because his schedule has him exhausted.
“Tetsurou, are you home? I brought home some dinner!” The voice makes him perk up and he rushes out of the bedroom.
Kuroo just missed you - you just stepped into the kitchen as he stepped out of your bedroom. “(y/n)?”
“Hi,” you answer when you felt his presence inside the kitchen. You were unwrapping the tupperwares of food from the paper bag that you carried for a couple blocks. “I ordered your favourite from your favourite restaurant. I felt kinda bad that I can’t cook it - you know how I am with fish - so I called Kenma up to ask.”
You turn around in confusion when he doesn’t answer. You press your lips together and tilt your head. “I’ll set up a bath for you as well in a bit. I know how tired and stressed out you’ve been lately. Do you want some wine?”
“I’m sorry,” Kuroo sighs, watching you dart around the kitchen to get utensils. He doesn’t even know if his apology would make it right.
You hadn’t even taken what he said to heart. You were more upset at the fact that he yelled at you so unwarranted. “For what?”
“For saying what I said. I’ve just been so stressed out lately and I didn’t mean it,” he chokes up on his words. He doesn’t know if the clueless stare you were giving him meant you’re being sarcastic or you really had no idea what was going on. “Please, believe me.”
You’re silent for a few seconds. Your lips stretch into a smile, “don’t worry about it. We can’t all be perfect all the time. I’m sorry I didn’t notice it sooner.”
You walk over to where he is and grab his cheeks gently, pulling him down to press a kiss to the tip of nose. “Don’t apologise for being stretched out thin by your schedule. It’s okay — I understand.”
He feels the tears rush to his eyes. He really doesn’t deserve you. If this were anybody else, his words would have been a good enough reason to break up with him.
“Don’t listen to what I said, okay? You’re not too overbearing and I love you so much,” Kuroo sniffs, rubbing circles on the back of your hand. “Thank you for understanding.”
You grin. “Take your time getting back into the gist of things. Until then, leave all the house matters to me.”
Kuroo watches as you start setting the table and reach for the wine. He swears at this moment that he will most definitely spend the rest of his life with you. He’d be a fool to lose someone like you.

black and white - bokuto koutarou
| heartbreak weather |
requested?: no, again but-
notes: niall said that his album told a story through his tracklist so here i am making a story for my babey
A giggle passes your lips as you squint your eyes, fumbling with the keys inside your hand. You couldn’t - for the life of you - figure out which was the key to your front door.
Bokuto sighs, but it’s not of annoyance or exhaustion. He gently places his hand over yours and stops the motion of you going through your hoard of keys. He kisses your head lightly and smiles down at you. “You’re drunk.”
“No, you,” you huff, folding your arms over your chest and puffing out your cheeks as he unlocked the door to your apartment.
You trudge into your apartment and dropped your bag on the floor, the loud thud making Bokuto jump slightly as he locked your door. “Don’t lie on the couch.”
As he turns to you, another smile makes its way to his lips as he sees you drop yourself on the couch. “I told you not to lie on the couch.”
“But I’m tired,” you complain, lifting your arms up to make grabby hands at him. “Come cuddle with me.”
He grins and walks over to you. He puts his palm against yours and intertwines your fingers together. “Get up. We have to take off your makeup before you fall asleep, remember? If not, you’ll break out.”
You shake your head dramatically, tugging on his arm roughly. It’s funny - you’re not the strongest person he knows but the full capacity of your strength is unmatched whenever you’re drunk. “It’s cheat day.”
“(y/n), come on,” he says in a slightly serious tone. Truthfully, he wasn’t expecting you to call him at 2 in the morning asking for a ride home from whichever bar you were out with your friends that night. He trusted you when you said that you could handle yourself.
Not that he minds being with you at your state. Just that he has a meeting tomorrow with some sponsors. But for you, he’s willing to risk losing that.
You finally comply and now you’re seated on your bathroom sink, slouched forward as Bokuto wiped off the makeup on your face.
You’re silent. If you weren’t humming some random song that popped into your head, Bokuto would have assumed that you’d fallen asleep. As he watched your face distort into your several infamous facial expressions, the more he visualised in his head that he wanted you more than he’s wanted anyone or anything else in the world.
Bokuto’s been afraid to get attached to someone like you because with just the blink of an eye, he gets attached like you would never believe. He can see it -already - both of you dressed head to toe in black and white on a crystal clear, starlit night as you swore in front of all your friends.
“You know, when I was in my first year of college, I was so nervous for this test,” you say barely above a whisper. He wouldn’t have heard it if he wasn’t so close to your face, attempting to take off the fake eyelash glued down to your eyelid. “That I drank some beer before I left my apartment.”
“Really?” Bokuto entertains you, raising an eyebrow. He places the eyelash down on your counter and starts with the remaining lash. He cannot count on one hand the number of times he’s been in your apartment this late into the night to help you take off your makeup. And along with that is your favourite story to tell as you sobered up. “Then what happened?”
“Kinda vivid, but I remember tearing up a bit while I was doing it,” you laugh softly. He knows how this story ends. Out of all the things that has happened to you, this is the story that he knows like the back of his hand. He can probably recite it word for word at this point. “But I did get an A for that paper.”
He nods, a proud smile on his face. “That’s great! Don’t do that at your job now, okay?”
You hum, “I only get to do that sometimes.”
Bokuto can’t fathom how in love he is with you. He can’t stop all the scenarios his brain is making up for him right now. The one that presented itself over and over again is the picture of sitting on a porch next to you, 65-years-old. You’d turn to him and ask him when he first knew.
At this point, even he knows that answer. He’s always known that it’s you. Always.
He stops taking off your makeup. He brushes off the stray hairs from your face and pinches your cheek for a moment. “Don’t you ever change.”
“I mean, I’ve got to change at some point. I spilled alcohol on myself three times tonight.”

Oikawa pushes the door open, immediately greeted by the warmth that the cafe is providing. The cafe is busy - there’s a queue at the cash register, people scattered all over trying to find seats and chatter coming in from all directions.
It doesn’t take him long to find the face he’s searching for. It’s not that difficult because he’s seen that face every single day since he was a kid. His voice is very distinct as well and he knew where to look the moment he heard his name.
Iwaizumi immediately pulls him in for a hug the moment he arrives at the table. Once he’s seated back in his seat, Oikawa quickly notices you sitting next to his best friend with a small smile. “Remember the girl I was telling you about that’s in the same dorm building as you?” Iwaizumi starts, “this is her.”
“Hi,” she greets him with a small nod from where she sat. “I’m (y/n). Hajime’s talked a lot about you. Like a lot.”
Oikawa chuckles hesitantly, but softly. “I sure hope the impression you have of me is a good one.”
They spent the evening laughing and chatting. It’s crazy that both of you were at so many places at the same time but never came across each other until Iwaizumi had brought it up while he was on the phone one night.
“I’ll see you around,” Oikawa smiles, giving you a polite nod before he turns to Iwaizumi to give him another hug. “It’s nice seeing you again. Before you go, how about we grab dinner again?”
“Count on it,” Iwaizumi cheers, “but you’re paying because I am the one leaving.”
Iwaizumi puts an arm around you as you turn away. You wave at Oikawa one last time and beam at him. “Have a good evening!”
Oikawa freezes, in the middle of the busy sidewalk outside of the cafe he’d just exited merely minutes ago. The dormant butterflies in his stomach came alive again and he’s feeling warmer than he ever has the whole time he’s been inside.
The contrasting cold wind that Tokyo had to offer him didn’t even bother him anymore. He already knows - he’s smitten with you.
Iwaizumi has just left the city. He’d hopped on a train and took off, back to continue his normalcy of going to university just like Oikawa. You were there to send him off as well.
“Are you going home?” Oikawa starts, turning to tilt his head at you. When you nod, he continues walking next you. Which shocks you because he’s supposed to go the other direction. “Let me walk you home. You know Iwa-chan won’t let me hear the end of it.”
“He’s just protective,” you dismiss his concern with a wave and a soft laugh. “And you don’t have to. It’s okay.”
Oikawa could not stop thinking about you during the past couple of days since he first met you. He couldn’t forget the way you smiled at him and how you laughed at every single one of his jokes.
“It’s okay, I’ve got somewhere to go to in your area, anyway.” False. He just wants to potentially get to know you better. Hell, there’s even a chance that Iwaizumi will tell him off but he’s ready to take his chances with it. “So, how’s college? Any clubs you’ve joined?”
“No, I didn’t even try,” you shrug, “I’m working to pay for the apartment I’ve been staying in. I’m totally not on a scholarship. Unlike you. How’d you get so good at volleyball, anyway?”
The walk to your apartment building didn’t feel as long as it should have. The 20-minute walk she took only felt like 10 minutes. You talked about a lot of things, usually just about school and surface-level things. Nothing too serious and it bums him that you won’t open up to him more.
You abruptly stop and tap Oikawa’s shoulder. You gesture to the tall, pasty white building behind you. “This is my apartment building,” you beam at him. “Thanks for walking me home, Oikawa-kun. I’ll see you at school.”
“Actually, if you don’t mind, do you wanna grab dinner some time?”
Video calling has been a night time routine for the both of you. For the past 3 days since you had dinner together. It started with a simple question he needed help with for his class and suddenly you’re always calling each other at night.
“Hear me out, right?” You start, holding up your hands to the camera to keep him quiet, “why is it any different if you see me in my underwear? It’s exactly the same as seeing me in a bikini.”
“I can’t say I’ve never thought of that,” Oikawa admits, tilting his head as he stares off at his wall.
This argument sparked up when you mentioned that you wanted to change your shirt. The drastic difference in temperature from the outside and your apartment is enough to make you change out of your two layers. You simply took off your shirt without moving away from the camera or at least covering or turning it off.
“But it’s different! Underwear with all that lacy shit it has going on,” Oikawa sighs. Suddenly, the image of you mere seconds ago in your underwear flashes and it makes his cheeks turn red. Redder than you’ve ever seen them. “Underwear is just different.”
He looks back at the screen of his laptop, flinching slightly when your face has covered up the entirety of his device. You scrunch up your nose and narrow your eyes down to a squint. “Why are you all red?”
“Am I?” He has every reason to be red. He’s known you almost a week and a half and he’s already seen you in your underwear. Usually it takes him at least a month.
You giggle, pulling away with a playful grin. “I’ve got to go make dinner than tuck myself in,” you explain softly. “Your assignment’s all good, right? Just call me if you have another question.”
Oikawa nods. The words he had to say were all stuck in his throat - bunching up into a lump. All he manages to say to you is: “I’ll call you.”
“It’s a school night,” you mutter, shoving Oikawa back with an eye roll. “And it’s freezing out here - I don’t know how you got me out of my apartment.”
“It’s just my charm,” Oikawa laughs, shoving his hands into his pockets. He stopped at the entrance of your apartment building and towers over you.
He couldn’t fall asleep at all - his thoughts about his first competition in college consumed him all night. He texted you and you were up. So he picked you up and walked around with you.
You snarl at him and turn to glance at your building for a moment.
The air between the two of you suddenly got thicker. Maybe it’s the calmness of 3AM that’s making him feel like this. The brief idea that you might be feeling him too is lingering, but he can’t bear the rejection if he’s wrong.
“Thanks for paying for my hot chocolate,” you say in a sigh, “I forgot to grab my wallet on the way out of the door.”
“It’s no problem. I asked you to come out, anyway,” he says in a low voice, taking a step towards you. He’s very cautious about this. It can end in two ways and he’s not particularly fond of the ending where Iwaizumi beats his ass. “So, lunch tomorrow, right?”
You can’t utter a response. You’re looking up at him and just realised how brown his eyes are. Even in the dark of the night, they just shined so bright.
Suddenly his body is on auto-pilot. You’ve grabbed his shirt and yanked him down into you, pressing your lips against his. He doesn’t even have time to think about it - he just tries to pull you closer into his body.
When you abruptly pull away, he feels his heart drop. You lick your lips and nod, “yeah, lunch at 12:30. See you tomorrow.”
Oikawa lies back in his bed, staring at his ceiling. He’s conflicted. You haven’t brought up the fact that you kissed him a few days ago. If he knew any better, he would have thought that you think it was just a mistake.
He might just be reading too much into the situation. Perhaps you just got too caught up in the moment and that’s why you did what you did.
You haven’t called each other at night since then. He’s overthinking circumstances. Did he lose you? Is Iwaizumi already in a train on the way to Tokyo to beat him to a pulp?
His phone buzzes, making him scramble up from his position and snatch his phone from the floor next to him. His lips stretch at the notification with your name and quickly opens it.
‘i just got home from work,, i’ll text you later okay’
He texts you back with a simple ‘okay’ and goes back to staring at his ceiling. He doesn’t know how long he waited for you, but eventually he fell asleep at some point in the night.
You never texted him later that night.
“I’m tired,” you huff, patting his chest then rolling to lie on your back. You sit up and grab your phone from his bedside table and start to scroll through your phone.
Oikawa nods and sits up as well, checking his phone for a brief moment before returning all his attention on you. “Do you want anything to eat? I have leftovers from what I ordered in for lunch.”
“Just a cup of water for me, please,” you mutter, flashing him a wide smile. You don’t even look up from your phone - you just continue to text your friends with a small smile. He can’t help but wonder if you’re talking about him. “Thank you.”
He nods and picks a stray shirt from his floor. He can’t believe you’re on his bed right now, in your underwear. It all happened a week ago when you admitted to him that you like him.
Well, not exactly that. Your exact words would be: “I don’t know if I like you, but I feel something for you. You’re a great guy.”
He’ll take it as it is.
The catch is that you don’t think you’re ready for anything serious right now. With school and the fact that you’re working almost every day and night, you told him that you just didn’t think that committing is something you can do right now. Especially not with the baggage of your messy breakup that just happened not too long ago.
He has to respect that. He’s got his fair share of trauma for his last relationship in high school as well.
When he comes back to the room, you’re already coddled up in his sheets and unconscious. His lips spread into a grin and he just places the cup of water on the table on your side of his bed.

heartbreak weather - bokuto koutarou
requested?: no, but here’s a new series i wanna start hehehe
Bruno Mars suddenly filled up the silence in your hotel room. From your position at the vanity in the cramp room, you start to sway your hips and hum to yourself as you unpacked some of your necessities out of your bag.
He has his phone in his hand as he watched you. He was planning on letting his parents know that he’d made it to the hotel safely with you but now all he can focus on is you. He can’t seem to look away.
Catching his gaze, your lips breaks out into a wide smile and you beckon him to come forward to where you are. “Dance with me.”
An overwhelming feeling of warmth washes over him and he feels his heart literally skips a beat. He realises that this is the first time he’s felt like this in a long while. He pushes himself off the hotel bed and walked over to you, holding his hand out to welcome you into him.
You sway to the beat and take his hand, abruptly yanking him into your body. “Yeah, you make me feel like,” you sang softly, placing his hand to your waist. “Like I’ve been locked out of heaven.”
“For too long,” he continues, dropping his head forward to lean his forehead on yours.
It’s just like yesterday that he was driving in the car with you in the passenger seat. You were coming to the end of a date during the earlier stages of your relationship and the 20-minute ride to your home, he managed to turn it to a 40-minute detour around town. You just wanted to stay where you are - with him.
He’d been single up until he met you one night after his match with MSBY. When he lost touch with Akaashi after he went his separate way for college, it admittedly got very lonely for him very quick.
He’s tough to handle and be with, so it was tough to find someone that would actually stay. If someone wanted to get closer to him, he would instinctively push them away in attempts to protect himself from getting hurt.
But when you came prancing into the bar he was in with Miya Atsumu, he knew immediately that the fire you had in your eyes was going to be the end of him.
The song comes to an end that prompts you pulling away from him. You pull your shirt off and over your head, leaving you in your underwear. “Kou, do you wanna go for a swim upstairs? Or do you just want to stay here?”
His answer is simple. “Wherever you are is fine.”
You give him a knowing stare. You were friends long enough before you even started dating so you snatch your swim suit from your bag and hold it out. “Liar. The first thing you always do at a hotel is swim.”
“Being with you is different,” he admits, walking over to you. He presses a kiss to your temple and starts to sway. “Swimming can wait til morning - I just wanna be with you.”
He takes the piece of clothing and puts it back into your bag. Pulling you towards the bed again, a soft yelp is heard from you as you fall into Bokuto’s chest and his back hits the soft mattress. “Just stay where you are, babe.”
“I’m not going anywhere.”

somebody else - akaashi keiji
requested?: no, yet here i am!!!
You couldn’t understand the type of circumstance you’re in. You’re supposed to be broken up. Why are you in his bedroom? Why are you tangled in his sheets? Why are you pressed up against his body, caught up in a passionate kiss with your shirt thrown across the room?
“Keiji,” you mutter in a sigh against his lips. His fingertips slowly trail their way from your thigh, up to your bare back then to the clasp then held your bra together.
You can only moan softly to continue what you were going to say as his lips move down to start pressing kisses to your neck. “Don’t stop.”
The temperature outside is approximately 7ºC the last time you checked, and the thermostat in his apartment was set to 23ºC. It felt like the summertime right now with all that’s been happening.
You’d broken up over 2 months ago, and you’ve even started to date around recently. You didn’t see Akaashi in almost a month and a half and you were honestly starting to move on. That was until you ran into him while out for lunch with Bokuto.
The poor guy didn’t even know that you’d broken up. He had just assumed that you were fighting and that was the reason you never mentioned him during your short time together that day.
Akaashi sent you a text that evening and you actually ended up in this very situation.
You shouldn’t be doing it but it felt so good. You couldn’t simply stay away. By the looks of it, neither could he. You could tell in the way he was grabbing you and savouring your taste every time. It’s in the prolonged stares that gave it all away to you.
“Can he make you feel as good as this?” He questions, looking up at you through his eyelashes as he moves his lips down to your bare chest. You’ve ran out of words to say to him and your response is just another moan.
He’s not complaining, though. At least he knows that he’s doing something right.
The cold air hits your back as he unclasps your bra, making a gasp escape your lips. You don’t have to do anything - Akaashi just helps to pull your bra straps down your arms and throws the piece of clothing somewhere on the bed with the rest of his.
A hand goes to the small of your back as he swiftly picks you up and lays you down on your back. Akaashi hooks his thumb around the hem of your underwear and blew cold air to your stomach.
A constant buzzing makes him abruptly halt his hands and he quickly looks up at you. “Your phone’s ringing.”
“It’s fine,” you mutter, desperate for him to go on with what he was going to do.
Akaashi rolls his eyes. “Pick up the phone, (y/n).”
You groan and swiftly turn your body to snatch your phone from the side table. You flash him a hesitant look and he only nods, making you swipe your thumb across the phone to pick up the call.
When he realises who’s call you’ve picked up, he decides to have a little bit of fun. He tugs your underwear down that makes you lift your head to widen your eyes at him.
He waves off your concern and pushed your legs apart.
“Um, yeah, I can meet you later tonight,” you say into the phone, dropping your head back onto Akaashi’s pillow. You never planned to stay the night anyway. “I might have to meet you at a later hour, though, I’m at a friend’s place right now.”
You had more to say. But your voice gets caught in your throat when you feel the man between your legs blow cold air against your skin.
The man on the phone, however, decided to go into detail what he had planned for your evening later on.
The longer you stayed on the phone, the more frustrated Akaashi got. He’s all for putting you at compromising situations like this - getting you squirming and struggling while someone’s on the phone. His limit is when it’s with somebody that he thinks will take his place someday.
“It sounds great,” you nod, pressing your lips together in attempts to suppress the moan you had to let out. Your legs tense up as Akaashi started to work his magic between your legs with your hands bunching up his bedsheet into your free hand.
Sensing your struggle with your need to keep quiet, a hand comes up to unclench your fist. He intertwines your hand with his as he continued with you.
You clear your throat and shut your eyes tightly as he hits a spot. “Okay, I’ll see you later.”
You rush to end the call and throw your phone down on his carpeted flooring. The hand that was just preoccupied with the device tangles itself into Akaashi’s hair and tugged roughly on his roots. “Fuck, Keiji, don’t stop.”
“Date later on tonight?” He asks, lifting his head up to take a break.
“Yes, so if we could just hurry this up.”
He hates to see it happen - you intertwining your soul with somebody else. Doing things that you used to do with only him; telling somebody the secrets that only he once knew. He hates that you’re having the connection you used to have with him with somebody else that isn’t him.
But he can’t stay away from you. You can’t seem to do the same. So this is definitely not the last time you’ll be seeing one another.
He can see it in your eyes too - you wanted him just as much as he wanted you. He didn’t even want your body, he just wanted you back in his life. It’s been so different without you. He didn’t want to be the ex you just call randomly because you’re unsatisfied in bed.
But this will have to do until he figures out what he can do.
“Are you sure you wanna go through with this? If you do, you might not be able to walk proper for your date,” he taunts, pressing his hips into yours.
You hum and raise an eyebrow, “I can handle you, Keiji. Try me.”

the day you said goodnight - oikawa tooru (masterlist)
Tumblr media
genre: angst, a lil fluff if u look past my bad writing
pairings: oikawa tooru x fem!reader.
taglist: comment to be added!!!
note: told from oikawa’s pov. this will have six very long parts (excluding ending) that will narrate each month they’ve spent together and then the days leading up to the ‘incident’. there will be two different endings,, just to cater to both my fluff and angsty sides xoxo
based on a kind of true story except it hasn’t ended irl just yet
++
Between you and Oikawa, the phrase ‘goodnight’ never existed.
You’ve talked and spent almost every single night together for the past 4 months you’ve known each other. Even if you weren’t together, the phrase was just never uttered. One of you always fall asleep and never get the chance.
He knows because when you said it for the first time the other night, it completely took him by surprise. That’s when he knew that maybe he’d screwed up one of the good things that he had going for him.
Now he’s just trying to figure out how and when it all changed.
four months ago,
three months ago,
two months ago,
one month ago,
two weeks ago,
three days ago,
today,
(alternate ending).

-
oikawa tooru
and i banished every single memory you and i had ever made
but when you touch me like this
and you hold me like that
i just have to admit that it’s all coming back to me
“Okay, meet back at this queue in 15 minutes? You get your stuff and I’ll get mine,” you instruct your boyfriend slowly, making sure that he heard you through the loud music booming in the department store.
“Okay! I’m not a child — see you in 15 minutes, baby,” he laughs. He puts his hand on the back of your head and reeled you in to press a kiss a kiss to the top of your head. “Be safe.”
You know this department store like the back of your hand. The times you spent in here roaming around with your boyfriend could beat the number of hours you’ve slept in the past 2 months.
Planning for an event important to so many people in your life has proved a lot harder than you thought. Now you’re in a haste trying to get decorations for the amatuer engagement party you’re throwing.
You found yourself at the aisle with wall decorations. You hum to yourself, pressing a fingertip to your lips as you scanned the filled shelves.
“(y/n)?”
“Oikawa?” The name rolled off your tongue even before you could properly process who was calling out to you. You listened to that voice every single day for 3 years — you couldn’t forget it even if you tried your hardest. “Hi?”
“Hi,” he says with a breath, shoving his hands down his back pockets. He raises his shoulders up as he looks at you, quite unsure of what to say. Instead, he just repeats himself by accident, “hi.”
You smile. “Hi. I haven’t seen you since...”
“High school graduation,” Oikawa sighs softly. “So, how have you been? You disappeared from everybody’s radar since then.”
“Yeah, I took my degree in London,” you stated. “I stayed with my dad. I actually just moved back here a few months ago.”
You’d piled away every memory you had with Oikawa. As much as you can, you pushed it into the back of your mind where it should belong. When the wound was still fresh, it
Now that he’s standing right in front of you, you could suddenly remember it like it was just yesterday. The laughter, the craziness, the things you’d gotten yourself into. They’re the stories you’d never ever forget but you’ll never tell anyone about it — it’s a memory for you to keep and hold on to.
Your boyfriend might not have had the best history with Oikawa, but he’s a part of your past whether he liked it or not.
“We should totally get dinner some time,” Oikawa grins. His eyes widen when you lifted your head in shock. The intention of his invite sinks in almost instantly and he flinches as he covers his mouth. “Like, with Iwa-chan and Makki! Mattsun, too! I bet they’d be glad to see you’re back.”
Your shocked state prolongs for a while, but eventually, you started laughing. You could see he was cautious with the words he was going to say to you. “I’d actually like that. I was thinking of reaching out these past few days but I didn’t exactly know how to start.”
Sure, you were trying to get rid of the awkwardness between you. But it wasn’t entirely a lie just to ease off the tension. You genuinely meant it.
“Well, I’ll call you!” Oikawa exclaims, instinctively pulling you in for a tight hug. “Or I’ll text you. Whichever’s convenient. I’ll see you around, (y/n).”
And just like that, he turns around to continue with his shopping.
You stand where you are, hand still hanging in the air from hugging him back so abruptly. A gush of familiarity washes over you as you stand there, still in a complete state of shock.
There’s not a lot of things that can leave you at a loss for words, but Oikawa will always be the one to make the impossible happen.
All the memories came back: that God forsaken first date, his volleyball matches and the heart wrenching break up. There were several things that factored to your break up and you still couldn’t entirely understand everything that had gone down.
“Hey, babe,” a hand sneaks up on your lower back and a kiss is planted on your forehead, “you’ve got everything?”
You jump and turn to face him, a wide smile replacing the frown on your face. “Yeah, just one more thing left.”
Oikawa had walked away a significant distance from you before he remembers that he doesn’t have any way to contact you. The groupchat would absolutely not shut up about it.
He whirls around and calls out your name, his shout is silenced by the sight in front of him and it told him that his friends’ words would probably hurt less.
Because there you are, all coddled up with the one person he couldn’t come to terms with. You’re in Ushijima Wakatoshi’s arms as you scanned the shelves again.
A sigh escapes his lips. Pressing his lips together, he nods slightly and turns back around to continue his day. This was his chance to make things right — to apologise for being so selfish when you were younger.
But maybe there’s just some things that should be left unsaid. So he just walked away.
-
akaashi keiji
there were hours that just went on for days
when alone at last we’d
count up all the chances
that were lost to us forever
Long distance is difficult. Having schedules that barely allowed proper conversations made it even worse to attempt to keep a dying relationship afloat.
It’s even more difficult since there is no relationship to uphold. You broke up a while after you moved for college, but whenever you’re back in town, you just couldn’t stay away. It’s worse because neither can he.
Whenever you’re together after months, it always felt like the hardships never happened at all. Months seemed to pass by like years whenever you were apart.
You’re lying on your stomach, face smushed into Akaashi’s arm as you lied in bed. Akaashi slips his hand under your shirt and rubs your bare back, eventually pressing his thumb into your shoulder. “I missed you so much — I missed this.”
You hum in response, pressing a chaste kiss to his arm. “I can’t believe you’re really here.”
He inches forward and presses a kiss to the side of your head. “Believe it, babe. I’m here.”
You reposition yourself to your side and try to make out his face in the dark of your bedroom. You nuzzle your face into his shoulder, a hand going around him and rubbing circles on his back. “You smell so good.”
“Everything is just not the same without you,” Akaashi mutters into your hair. “I swear, I just want it all to end. I love having you around.”
It was so hard not to miss him. The breakup was innocent and you ended on good terms. The closeness you had with one another is too good to permanently let go of.
“I wish I could stay,” you whisper, repositioning yourself once more. You press your back against his chest and let out a heavy sigh, grazing your fingertips up and down his forearm. “I just want to be with you.”
He buries his face into your hair sprawled out behind you. At some point, his perception of time whenever you came back changed. He never noticed it up until recently when Bokuto pointed it out.
Akaashi wasn’t just counting down how many days he had left before he can see you — it’s how long before he can hold you; before he can touch your skin.
When you’re together, it’s how many times does he get to see your face before he has to wait months before grazing upon the emotions that dawn on it. How many more times can he hear your laugh before he has to hear it over the phone every once in a while.
“You smell so good.” He props himself up on his elbow and moved the hair from your neck. He presses a kiss to the back of your neck, his other hand trailing down to your thighs. “I can’t fit 5 months into the 3 days I have with you, (y/n).”
The air in the room quickly gets slightly more intense — he sucks on the skin and his hands still roaming around your bare thighs. “But I’ll try to make sure that we make up for the time we were apart.”
“Keiji,” you whisper shakily as he moves up your neck, still sucking on your skin sloppily. His hand blindly searches around for yours, squeezing it when a struggled moan pasts your lips. “Keiji, please.”
It’s a very complicated relationship that you have right now. You’re not exactly together, but you’re not exactly single either. You could do whatever you want while you’re apart, but you just could not bring yourself to see other people.
It scares you to see other people. Keiji is the greatest person you know and you don’t want to find out if there’s someone who can top the impression you have of him.
You just couldn’t let go.
You lie on your back as he moves on top, nudging your nose with his. “(y/n).”
“Keiji,” you sigh out, your fingers tangling themselves into his hair. Your back arches and your eyes widen when his hand moves higher up on your thigh. “I love you.”
He nods, processing your words. He dips back down to lock you in a deep kiss before he says it against your lips, “I love you too.”

Prompt List
I find it easier to make prompt lists so I can write with what I’m inspired by. I’ll probably add to this as I find new prompts I like.
I took these from several prompt lists that I’ve reblogged, so that’s why they may look familiar.
ANGST
“I can’t do anything right.”
“Please don’t cry.”
“Why are you awake right now?”
“Why are you lying to me?”
“Forget it, you’re a fucking asshole.”
“Don’t you ever do that again!”
“Do you even still love me?”
“Nobody’s seen you in days.”
“Why are you awake?”
“I’m worried about you.”
“Can you shut up for once in your life?”
“Holding everything in doesn’t help, you know.”
“If you don’t hug me right now I think I might fall apart.”
“Just get home as soon as possible, okay?!”
“I told you not to fall in love with me.”
FLUFF
“Go with me?” “As long as you hold my hand.”
“Is there a reason you’re blushing like that?”
“Have you seen my hoodie?” “Noo.” “You’re wearing it, aren’t you?”
“OH you’re jealous!”
“Can we stay like this forever?”
“Please just kiss me already.”
“I think you might be my soulmate.”
“Sleep over? Please?”
“Are we on a date right now?”
“I think I’m in love with you.”
“Are you flirting with me?” “You finally noticed?”
“Am I your lockscreen?” “You weren’t supposed to see that.”
“I wish we could live together already.”
“They’re so cute when they’re asleep.”
“I just wanted to let you know that I think you’re beautiful.”
“You take my breath away,” “…” “y’know, like the song haha”
RANDOM
“Quit touching me, your feet are cold!”
“Sharing is caring, now give me the hoodie!”
“Did you seriously just get your foot stuck in a toilet?” “Maybe.”
“If I die, I’m haunting you first.”
“But I’ve never told you that before.”
“Stop being grumpy, it’s lame.”
“Can we please stop running? I think I’m dying.”
“Can you please…? Hmmm, I don’t know. Maybe put a shirt on?!”
“You come here often?” “Well, I work here. So I think I’d have to say ‘yes’.”
“Aren’t we supposed to be working?”
“You’re insane,” “You love me,” “Not right now I don’t.”
12.    “Give me attention.”
13.       “YOU SAID TO BE HONEST STOP HITTING ME!”
14.       “Okay, so maybe I didn’t see that coming.”
15.         “I’m too sober for this.” “You don’t even drink.” “Maybe I should start.”
16.          “You met me yesterday,” “Yes, and I would die for you. Next question,”
17.          “I’m telling you. I’m haunted.”
18.         “Well, that’s tragic.”
19.         “She’s hiding behind the sofa.”
20.         “I’d kill for a coffee…literally.”
21.         “What do you mean she’s my new partner? She tried to kill me last week!” “Sounds like a you problem.”
22.         “Good thing I didn’t ask for your opinion.”
23.         “I’m bulletproof…but please, don’t shoot me.”
24.         “Did you just hiss at me?”
25.         “It’s six o’clock in the morning, you’re not having vodka.”
26.         “The diamond in your engagement ring is fake.”
27.         “No. Regrets.”
28.         “How drunk was I?”
29.         “How is my wife more badass than me?”
30.         “It’s your turn to make dinner.”
31.         “They’re not your kids, back the f*ck off.”
32.         “I could punch you right now.”
33.         “Welcome back. Now fucking help me.”
34.         “I’m not buying ikea furniture again.”
35.         “Oh honey, I’d never be jealous of you.”
36.         “That was kind of hot.”
