Chapter 44 Summary
A long and grueling break down of these 2 chapters and my will
Obviously this is riddled with spoilers so be warned
44-1 Asmodeus, still sick, left the bathtub running and ended up having a leak in the bathroom. MC can perform a healing spell to help him. In response he says he’ll feel better if MC kisses him, and his brothers’ get angry at him for it. Satan and mammon leave to make soup, Beelzebub cleans up the bathroom, and MC helps Asmodeus back to bed. MC tells him about their day. Asmodeus mentions that he dreamed of when he was in the celestial realm; he says that Michael was just as beautiful as he remembered, and he was happy he didn’t run into Raphael because he scares him. He says that Michael wouldn’t stop talking about Lucifer before MC suddenly can’t keep their eyes open and falls asleep. The name Raphael will become a little bit important later.
44-3 First thing MC sees when they wake up is angel form Asmodeus. Asmodeus doesn’t recognize MC and when questioned about forgetting MC, he becomes confused. MC asks where they are and Asmodeus becomes even more confused and says the Celestial Realm of course. He asks MC if they work for Raphael because he’s in trouble with Raphael for going to a human world party. He said he had a lot of fun but Raphael told him “it’s a wicked and immoral thing to do.” He asks MC what they think on the matter and MC can tell him “I think it’s up to you to decide.” Asmodeus responds with “Well, it was so much fun. It would be a tragedy if I could never experience such a thing again. And I think I should be able to have fun!” After MC and Asmodeus discuss Raphael, Beelzebub shows up and asks about MC which prompts Asmodeus to introduce them to each other.
Asmodeus: “MC, this is Beelzebub, one of the cherubim. He guards the gates to the Celestial Realm. ...Oh wait, you probably already know that. Beel’s a very famous angel, after all. You know, there’s actually a rumor going around that Lucifer recommended Beel to be the next angel promoted to seraphim. Everyone’s talking about it!”
Beelzebub asks if MC is alright because Asmodeus hits on everything, which makes Asmodeus respond with that he feels love towards everyone he meets. The reason why everyone loves him, is because he loves everyone in return. He loves everyone because he can see the good in everyone. Beelzebub offers MC food and when asked if he was hungry he mentions how he went on a diet because he feels he’s gained weight and wants to lay off the sweets. If MC tells Beelzebub that they like how much he eats he gains affection and asks Asmodeus if MC was complimenting him, which makes Asmodeus jealous.
44-5 Beelzebub was looking for Belphegor and found him by shaking him out of a tree. Upon seeing MC, Belphegor asks “What’s a human doing here?” Both Asmodeus and Beelzebub tell him that MC is an angel.
Belphegor: “Well, now that you mention it, I guess I can see it. I do detect an “angelic” vibe… But I sense something humanlike, too.”
At this point in his life, Belphegor still likes humans. Mammon shows up at the very end stating he finally found them.
44-7 Mammon is mentioned to be a throne, and out of all of the thrones, the one Lucifer thrusts the most. When he was under the charge of Michael, he was a handful to the point that the others assumed he was a hair away from falling because of the constant pranks he was pulling. Before Lucifer promoted him to a throne, he was an Archangel; because of how Lucifer treated him, he wanted to be just like him in the future.
44-10 In order to attempt to stay out of trouble they decide to hide MC away until they can come up with a plan. When asked if MC knows any angels that they can be taken to for the time, if MC responds with Simeon, MC learns that Simeon was a Seraph. They take MC to their secret hide out to stash them there.
44-12 MC is introduced to Leviathan.
Belphegor: “He commanded Lotan and the army of angels in the fight against the demons… serving as their general, essentially. However…”
Beelzebub: “Now the Celestial Realm is at peace, so… yeah.”
Diavolo is being transitioned into the Devildom King, and is the reason peace is being discussed between the Devildom and Celestial Realm. MC gets to suggest to Leviathan anime or manga to keep his mind occupied since he feels useless not being able to command an army anymore.
44-15 Lucifer shows up! Angry! Because each of the boys were tasked to do something, and proceeded to not do the thing they were told to do. After lightly scolding the boys, he asks who MC is. Its discussed that Lucifer is supposed to be going down to the Devildom to talk with Diavolo, and if MC says “Have fun with Diavolo. Make sure to be friendly.” he becomes surprised and says “...? You sound almost as if you know him… You certainly are odd, aren’t you?” He mentions that, despite never meeting MC, it doesn’t feel like that. All the other brothers agree with him, stating that it feels as if MC is someone precious to them.”
Belphegor: “Hey, wait a second. Does MC remind you of Li-”
White screen, and ??? appears.
44-18
???: “Ugh, honestly… The wise sorcerer really does know how to make a mess of things, doesn’t he? Unbelievable. How could he create food that has such an absurd effect on demons as well as humans? At this point, I don’t think you could classify it as “food” anymore. It’s more like a new type of magic potion. And the fact he did this without even realizing it is all the worse. Anyway, MC, the long story and short of it is this… you were sent hurtling back in time inside a dream… all because you ate Solomon’s coking. You know, long ago he created an elixir of immortality by complete accident as well… You would think he’d learned his lesson by now, but apparently not. He’s a truly decent human with a good head on his shoulders, but sometimes he can be even more troublesome than the demons. He acts as if he understands his own power, but he doesn’t. Which is why his strange fascination with cooking of all things causes me no end of… Ah, excuse me. I apologize. Now’s not the time for that, is it? I need to send you back home. It’s likely that all of you will forget the events that took place. But the effect you had on them today will persist within them going forward. To ensure that this effect doesn’t end up having negative consequences someday, I intend to keep an eye on you from now on. I have to think about Simeon as well, after all… So, back you go. To the place you belong… Goodbye. Until we meet again, MC.”
MC wakes up in Asmodeus’s bed, right as Beelzebub comes in to tell MC they finished cleaning up.
44-A Lucifer finds Satan and goes to hunt him down, while MC, Mammon, and Beelzebub go to find out what happened to Leviathan. Turns out he was ignoring everyone to watch anime ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Chapter 43 Summary

43-3 Mammon “I mean, it’s mornin’, but you’re still asleep...What gives? Is this a sign of the end of times or somethin’?!” ooooh Mammon, if only you knew. All joking aside, the beginning of chapter 43 starts with MC and Mammon going to each of the brothers and finding out that all of them are sick from Solomon’s cooking. (Honestly I don’t really understand why they don’t just tell him they don’t like his food, like I get you don’t want to hurt someone’s feelings but if ya food’s making people sick everytime they eat it I’m not gonna eat it!) After finding the boy’s out of commission, Mammon takes MC out to get new food since Solomon put all his cooking in their fridge.
43-5 MC and Mammon are out on the town getting the others medicine and then going to the market for ingredients for dinner. They both end up meeting the butcher that MC previously met with Beelzebub, and when Mammon mentions that MC and him are living with each other, they become confused. I, and I cannot express this enough, need to see his reaction to MC living with all of the boys. Their confusion fills me with joy.
43-7 MC learns that while Mammon does answer a lot to the witches, it has nothing to do with having any pacts with them, but owing them because they took over some of his debts. MC and Mammon head over to Angel’s Halo cafe because of the rumor that when you drink the coffee your crush will fall madly in love with you, and Mammon, is a simp.
43-10 MC and Mammon run into Luke on the street, where he then takes them to Angel’s Halo cafe because it turns out (to no one's surprise) that it’s owned by Simeon and Luke. When asked why they’re in the human world, Simeon replies with “Michael appointed us to help coordinate relations between the human world and Celestial Realm.So we’re going to be living in the human world for a while.” This will be very important to remember because I’m going to talk about this later and some issues I have with this statement.
43-12 Turns out the rumor about the coffee is wrong! Simeon had let a girl try a cup of the coffee before the cafe was actually opened, and because something amazing happened with her love life right afterwards, a rumor started that the coffee was the reason for it. Some more pieces of very important information is presented to us.
MC:“You didn’t use your “angel powers” on her?” Simeon: “I wouldn’t use my powers for a purpose like that. Anyway, I don’t have the ability to make humans fall in love to begin with.” Luke: “We angels possess our powers from the moment we’re born. But different angels have different powers.”
...Luke: “Also, all angels are assigned a rank based on how skilled we are at whatever it is we can do. Simeon’s rank is “archangel.” In the Celestial Realm, they serve as warriors. It’s really impressive.”
...Luke: “for your information, I’m ACTUALLY hoping to be one of the principalities someday!”
Again, all these are very important to keep in mind because I will discuss them further. After this is discussed, Simeon says how this rumor’s going to be a problem because they can’t keep a low profile this way, and something needs to be done before it gets out of control. Mammon says he won’t help, but because he’s a simp, MC can give him puppy dog eyes and he relents immediately.
43-15 MC fakes breaking up with Mammon.
43-18 Mammon couldn’t go through with the plan of the fake break up to stop the rumor, and MC and Mammon had to help with the huge influx of customers instead. Satan and Beelzebub show up at the cafe as customers but Simeon makes them help since Mammon refused to do the fake break-up, them being his brother’s means they have to help. Satan and Beelzebub agree because Simeon is scary.
43-19 MC and the boys go back to the house and have a conversation about how weird it was to see Simeon and Luke.
Satan: “I have to say, it certainly was a surprise to find that Simeon and Luke are here in the human world, too.”
Mammon: “Oh yeah, they said somethin’ about Michael ordering them to coordinate relations between the human world and Celestial Realm.”
Satan: “That should be a job for the dominions, no Simeon or Luke.”
...Satan: “I’m saying that Michael has something else planned.”
Mammon: “So you’re sayin’ he’s plotting somethin’ again?”
When MC asks about Michael each boy says something different depending on who you ask.
MAMMON
Mammon: “I’ll tell you what, he’s like...a demon masqueradin’ as an angel.”
SATAN
...Satan: “He was everything humans imagined an angel to be and more… and he had a certain presence about him that’s not possible to put into words…”
Beelzebub: “Well, when you put it that way, you could say that about Lucifer, too.”
BEELZEBUB
Beelzebub: “If I had to sum what I thought about him in just a few words, I guess I’d say… he smelled tasty. He smelled sweet, like whipped cream or cookies.”
Mammon: “Oh yeah, he was always eatin’ sweet stuff like that, wasn’t he?”
ALL
...Mammon: “How do I put it… Michael was just a lot like Lucifer. A LOT like him.”
Satan: Yeah in terms of appearances, the two of them were polar opposites. But at the same time, they somehow felt like twins.”
Mammon: “Oh, and one other thing… He was crazy about Lucifer! You wouldn’t believe how much he cared about Lucifer..”
Satan: “I think that was because Lucifer embodied everything he wasn’t, but wished he could be. In a way, he projected himself onto Lucifer.”
43-A Satan is an ass and curses Lucifer to be sickx2 by doing a curse that makes the one he hates the most get his sickness!
Wow, chapter 43 had a lot of information! Too bad it gets worse uwu

Chapter 43 and 44 Summaries Update
Hello everyone, some quick news about the summaries
1) they will be multiple parts
2) while I was planning on posting the first post today, I was busy all day today and never got an opportunity until it was late in the evening, so chapter 43 summary will be queued for tomorrow, and chapter 44 summary will be queued for the following day.
3) these summaries will be different compared to others, because they will be more thoroughly broken down and will look closer to one of my essays vs one of mine or Kimimela’s chapter summaries.
4) there will be pieces of information that within both summaries that I go “hey, remember this, it’s going to be important because I’m gonna reference these later” and those will be talked about after the chapter 44 summary. So this means that 43, 44, and 43/44 essay will go together, and I’m going to post the essay either Tuesday or Wednesday if nothing magically comes up.
