I’ve always been stereotyped as a “good kid”. I know that it’s given me certain privileges and such, but I didn’t realize how much until today.
At school right now, we all just kinda sit in the gym and work on our laptops in silence while the teachers watch over us.
When I got to school today, I was exhausted. I hadn’t slept much and the last thing I wanted to do was work. So I didn’t. I took out some colored pencils and note book paper and started coloring.
There was a girl a row down from me who was reading and got asked multiple times if she had finished all of her work. (She had) Not once did they ever approach me.
I got a few comments saying “That looks nice,” or “I like that color,” but that was it. I literally sat there coloring for the whole day and the teachers never questioned it.
The moral of the story is, get classified as a good kid during the first week of school and then you can do whatever the fuck you want for the rest of the year.

I was once in the car with my dad and sister in the way home and we were singing really badly. My sister made her voice crack on purpose and my dad asked, “How do you do that in command?” My sister responded, “It’s really easy.” I said back, “So easy that your boyfriend can do it without even trying.” (Her boyfriend’s voice cracked a lot.) And I now have to live the rest of my days knowing that I’ll never reach that same high of that incredible roast no matter how hard I try.
