19th September 2023, Tuesday.

There are melancholic signatures of joy I see in objects. Like the one star necklace my boyfriend bought for me that I always wear now. Or the small leftovers of rain that I photograph for him. Maybe it's my jacket that he wears when the rain sets in. Sometimes it's also the koi pond that we watch during busy days.

5th July 2023, Wednesday.

Been a while :)

For the past couple of days there has been a dark cloud that watches over our city. It's like a silent notice of monsoon that doesn't go away even after we know that summer has left us. Since the weather makes it so easy to get in bed and take long naps, here are some highlights as of recently!

I invested in a old digital camera, I use it for documenting small glimpses and I love spending my time to just sit and edit these videos into a small movie. I got a film roll recently and nothing else there honestly. I've been to a couple of concerts, some of which I've helped in organising! Tolstoy before bed is now a routine. On to more college stuff, I spend my time during boring lectures by making origami, I just look forward to labs because coding is fun! But right now I am drowning in assignments and the supplementary stress of exams. But at least the weather is cosy !

Sometimes I think about how in 8th grade I decided to read a book from the least visited book shelf in my school library. It was in the corner and was filled with books with no specific order of placement. I think about how I picked up the book with a dragon on it, the pages seem to be intact but the book was visibly old. Sometimes I would watch the rain and birds thought the window while I reading. This was the time when I would quickly eat my lunch to go spend some time in the library alone. I wish I could go back in time to relive these days.

16th april 2022, saturday

It's been a while.

Not a lot has been happening lately. Today my parents and I decided to go out for dinner and just hang out. Lightning and thunders filled the silence. It rained a lot and I loved it. We walked around and then decided to have some Chinese food. Eating that warm delicious food while it rained reminded me of the months of october to december of 2021. While driving back home, my dad stopped at a local store to buy us ice creams. It wasn't a wise decision to eat ice cream while we were soaked in rain but it will be fine :)

I think I might add a few videos to my video diary on youtube ☆

The city dark paradise aesthetic on pinterest is what I dream of. Dark cities illuminated by artificial lights, being okay with being alone, driving through the streets on a chilly night, coming home along with some takeout food, a glass of wine, black coats and late night trips.

31st december 2021 and 1st January 2022

On the 31st I had to wake up early to present a topic for a uni programme, fortunately I did very well, I completed my fall'winter checklist, celebrating Nye with my friend, i wore a knee length brown skirt and black sweater with boots and a shimmery bag, she made us piña coladas and I got us two donuts, we ordered food (she had a burger and I had a salad), we clicked pictures on my film camera, my parents offered me dumplings and pizza before I went to meet up with my friend, later I came home by 11pm to celebrate with my family and we slept early. On the 1st my dad decided to take us on a drive, we drove by a dam and then had some fish at a small shop, later we came home and my parents took me out to buy me some clothes and other things for uni, coming home and having a light dinner but feel full, listening to a dark academia playlist (nobody on YouTube) while doing chores, having night time tea and planning to read M.R. james before going to bed.
