i’ve been thinking of going on a hiatus. or just quitting this account entirely. i’ve recently started to fall away from the tbp fandom (as it has died out) and i don’t want to force myself to do something / write for anything i don’t really enjoy.

recently, i’ve had a mental and academic upbringing. i have a boyfriend now, i’m no longer a lonely loser. i’ve become invested in living my life and appreciating the outside of the internet.

if my mind doesn’t make the stupid decision of deleting this account today, i will be going on a 3 month hiatus. i’ll get work done in the summer.

i hope all of you understand. (if anyone sees this) i don’t want to just become an abandoned account but i really do not enjoy writing for these characters anymore. though i know that’s the reasoning for my blog.

TBP BOYS INDIVIDUAL FRIENDSHIP HCS

1. Finney and Robin

as we all know, they are friends in the movie

so of course i think they’d spend a decent amount of time together.

besides the kidnapping stuff, if the black phone was just your typical 70s slice of life movie, i think i’d love it.

they most likely do the niche things you’d expect middle school boys to do when they hang out. (not nowadays but whatever)

since finney isn’t allowed to watch rated r / horror movies, i think robin would take finn to see one atleast ONCE in their friendship.

they also most likely just have deep and long conversations about their home lives whenever they hang

finney insists on sleepovers, robin is always down as long as it’s at finn’s house (they always end up going to robins house)

robin definitely has and will beat up bullies for finn.

they also have phones in this era, so they have alot of phone conversations, they probably spend hours just sitting and talking to eachother whenever they don’t have to worry about school.

they’re just so iconic together. they don’t fight, if they have disagreements they’re stupid ones, and they’re just bffs for life

2. Bruce and Vance

polar opposites.

in this case, it’s a good thing.

bruce is sweet, he’s nice towards EVERYBODY. even the meanies like vance.

vance fights, he’s loud when he wants to be, he’s a rebellious teenager. (bruce probably got straight A’s)

and vance knows that bruce is just an outgoing and kind dude, which is what he HATES about him.

“why the hell are you so nice to everyone, shitheads don’t fucking deserve it” - (idk take this as you want, i just know vance has said this to bruce before)

vance was shocked when bruce randomly asked him if he wanted to hang out sometime (he thought he was gay) [ reminder it’s the 70s ]

but they have a semi-decent relationship (friends, platonic, blah blah blah)

he grows to be comfortable with bruce and how he is.

so eventually bruce gets to see the softer side of vance.

not always cursing, voice not constantly at volume 350, just Vance Hopper being himself.

i’d like to think Vance is very introverted, he’s rude to people who try to engage with him because he has trust issues and doesn’t want to get hurt (in the sense that i think he’s just like me)

3. Billy and Griffin

they’re so cute

they definitely go to the same school, live in the same neighborhood and spend the majority of their time together

AGHHH IM FANGIRLING

their moms are probably friends i can feel it

they’re probably childhood friends that are gonna grow up to be like brothers to eachother

griffin probably gets into accidents a lot AND I JUST KNOW BILLY KEEPS A FIRST AID ON HIM

they probably take bike rides together in the mornings and afternoons, just talking or laughing together

i’d just imagine they’re completely wholesome

A/N: im sorry it took me almost a year to get to this but keep in mind that i was in a semi-depressive hiatus (which, nobody cares; i’m just here to write), but i got to it, and that’s all that matters: im trying to get out of it now. and i slowly am. enjoy!

he sometimes gets “annoyed” by you being loud. and the reason it’s in quotation marks is because HE DOESNT

he takes being loud as being confident, brave, all that.

plus he’s loud himself (when he has those spontaneous outbursts. other than that, he’s just a little softie just like you are)

in other words he is the exact same way, like. he could pretend to be a non lovey dovey person in front of his friends, but late at night…during the weekly (he takes this very seriosuly) sleepovers…he’s all up on you cuddling and being sweet.

^^ BECAUSE HES A BIG HEARTED LITTLE GUY. just scared to show it since he has a Reputation of being some tough mean dude.

he’s really sweet with you because he relates to you, you may not be rude or mean like him but in some form you’re relatable!!

of course he defends you whenever someone says shit to you. like if someone were to call you annoying he’d be on their ass. like quite literally pouncing on them.

Bold: Robins POV and stuff he’s saying

Normal: third person

(Reader) is a super popular kid, like really popular.

They have a lot of friends, and finney has about 4, which is what made it hard for him to ask them out

But luckily, (reader) is friends with Robin, and finney takes advantage of that

“Can you give (reader) this note?”

Finney walks up to Robin one morning, handing it to him

“Yeah, what is it?” Robin says holding it out and trying to open it up

“Don’t, it’s a love note” finney admits, putting robins hand down

Robin smirks at finney, “who is it to? I really wonder”

“Can you just give it to them?” Finney says, looking at you from behind his locker door

“Yeah, but what do you want me to say?”

“Anything but don’t say it’s a love note or that’s it’s from me”

“Got it” Robin says, walking towards (reader)

“Hey, I got a note from someone” I say, holding out the note for them to grab from me

“who’s it from?” (Reader) Says as they hold the note in their hands

“It’s a note”

“Yeah but who’s it from?” They try opening it but I snatch it from them, sealing it again

“Top secret, open it when you get home” Robin says, shoving the note into the pocket of (reader)’s pants and walking away, towards finneys locker, which he was currently hiding behind.

“What did you say to them?” Finney asks Robin, watching as (reader) walks out of the school building.

“All I did was tell them it was a note” Robin looks towards the doors, seeing that (reader) is no longer in sight.

“They’re gone by the way”

Finney checks for himself, taking a look at the doors before sighing and closing his locker door

“thank you, Robin”

“Yeah, no problem. I just don’t get why you couldn’t give it to them yourself”

“It’s hard” finney says, sighing “super hard”

Finney And Robin leave the school building, and after a few minutes of just walking home in silence…

“What if they show up to school tomorrow? I signed the card”

“First of all, there’s no what if…they’re coming to school tomorrow and you know it, and it’s okay…you’ve liked them for four months. You had to get it out eventually”

Robin turns finney around the corner, stopping at his house

“What if they reject me? I know I’ll still like them” he says to Robin, a frustrating look on his face

“It’s fine finney, I’m sure they like you back, you’re a nice dude” Robin pats finneys back, walking away from his porch, “I’ll see you at school”

Finney rushes straight to his room, burying his face into his pillow, thinking of things you could say, ways you could reject him, and also a little bit of ways you could say you liked him back

After 15 minutes of laying on his bed, finney fell fast asleep, still in his school clothes

“Finney, robins outside” he hears Gwen call into his room, waking him up.

Finney looks outside of his window, seeing that it’s daytime again and rushing out of the front door, not bothering to eat breakfast

“Let’s go” Robin says, holding onto his own backpack

“I don’t know about this, I shouldn’t have given them that note”

Robin shakes his head, walking towards the school with finney, where you are waiting at the entrance

“Did you ask them to wait there?” Finney asks Robin, panicking as (reader) starts walking towards them

“Nope” Robin says, moving aside as (reader) approaches finney

“(Reader), I like you a lot” (reader) reads out loud, smiling as they do so

“Gosh” finney looks down, grabbing the note from them

“Well finney, I’ve got some bad news for you” (reader) says, crossing their arms

There’s a long pause

“I like you too”

Finney looks up at (reader) “really?”

(Reader) nods “really”

“So…do you wanna hang out after school or something, you can say no. It’s fine if you say no”

“I’ll hang out with you, finney” (reader) says, smiling at him

Vance Hopper x Metalhead Reader

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes

He would love an s/o who has the same interests as him. So you both can introduce each other to new bands or bands you both like.

Metal isn’t very liked at school, a lot of people were taught it’s satanic, demonic and all that.

You both get horrified looks from people when you both are seen doing literally anything.

(Horrified looks from everyone in the room)

You could be petting a puppy, or holding a baby and you would have a mom shaking her head and covering her child’s eyes.

Vance will legit save money for months if he finds out a band you like is having a concert, so both of you can go together.

Definitely has vinyls, won’t put them on his wall or anything but he definitely has a big big collection of vinyls. Most are Metallica

(Vance is a Metallica fanboy you cannot change my mind)

Would go to a record store with you. To tell you which ones are good and which ones aren’t. He’d also buy some you recommend.
