Imagine it'll be like:

Jose would widen his eyes a little .. poor guy

It's not a bad thing.. it's just the fact that he had to take a long time to process what you called him---

officer... ?? captain..??

He would immediately have a small blush growing on his cheeks as he took in the words in repeat

Sneaky (y/n).......

After hearing the same nickname, he would feel comfortable with hearing his cute s/o calling him officer/ captain rather than hearing his own name

If his beloved suddenly stops calling him by those nicknames he would immediately think you're a fake-- you could only sigh as the survivor started ranting about skinwalkers

So what better way than to wait for his lover at the exit??

His face immediately lightens up when he sees his s/o running to him and hugging him

"You're so pretty tonight"

Boulder town's supplies had downgraded again.. it was a pain to see the others tired, hungry and in pain. One of them was Natasha who gave a small smile every time she treated her patients-- (y/n) could easily tell that it was a whole lie.

They got up from their seat and walked over to Natasha and her new patient. The patient was crippling and tired, they felt bad for the patient and looked away. Natasha gave a chuckle and looked at her little helper

"(y/n), right on time as always. Do you want to take a stroll out tonight? It looks nice.."

(y/n) immediately nodded and looked at the patient, something was clear. Natasha had used up all her alcohol and bandages, they had to ask Gepard for more next time.

"shall we, ms?" (Y/n) asked as they stood up and went to the exit. Natasha gave a sincere smile and nodded.

"please wait here, I'll treat you again after a few hours," Natasha told the patient and walked over to (y/n) and grabbed their hand.

"we shall, (y/n)"

The blush on (y/n)'s cheeks were evident-- so were the sudden redness on their ears.

They both walked to Rivet town and went up to the abandoned orphanage. (Y/n) immediately tried to search for some alcohol and bandages, letting Natasha to take a stroll at the playground.

They immediately stopped searching when they heard her shouting for them to come help her-- she was in danger.

They ran to the playground and gasped at the sudden giant robot that appeared. The robot had prepared it's bullets, (y/n) immediately shouted

"Get down, Ms Natasha!"

Natasha immediately did so, (y/n) reflected the bullets with their sword (does that work...) and the robot was immediately stunned for a while. They lunged forward to plunge the sword at the robot's eye but it was faster than them and used a chainsaw to injure the fighter.

They panted heavily and looked to the side to see Natasha's worried face.

"(y/n)! Get behind me!" She shouted-- but she was too late, the robot had targeted it's bullets at (y/n).. immediately injuring them further. The look on Natasha's face said it all.. they were badly injured. They immediately threw their sword at the robot's eye and took the sword away from the stunned robot. They then plunged their sword in and out of the robot and panted heavily as they won against the enemy.

Natasha immediately ran up behind them and hugged them close. That hug was so nice that it made the other person drowsy and sleep.. she smelled like alcohol and bandages

Natasha noticed (y/n)'s sleeping figure and let them be for a while, she then found some alcohol and bandages in some of the old delivery boxes. She then turned back and carried (y/n) all the way to boulder town.

"(y/n)..please be okay.."

(y/n) immediately woke up as they just felt a stinging pain on their abdomen. They looked to the side and yelped when they saw Natasha's eyes.

She had tears as she looked down and healed them up-- was she worried that they had died? she's so cute sometimes...

(y/n) immediately directed their hands around Natasha's vision and smiled when she looked up to see them okay.

"(y/n)...!"

"rise and shine, ms Natasha"

"(y/n)..." She immediately gave a gentle slap as she hugged (y/n) tightly. Her tears had slowly dissapeared as she held them close to her arms.

"I thought I've lost you..."

(y/n) looked at Natasha and kissed her head.

"ms Natasha, you're so goddamn cute sometimes"

Natasha immediately stopped hugging them and stood up, faking a cough and being back to her usual self.

"thank you.. for protecting me out there"

(y/n) gave a big big smile when Natasha had a faint blush on her cheeks.

they silently vowed to love her forever-- even if it's not reciprocal

(y/n), malleus's best friend and only friend, was always there for him.

The way he smiled, the way his fingers brushed up against his own.. oh how he loved this feeling.

Malleus had a smile every time he glanced at (y/n), he was the man in his dreams-- a dream come true.

(y/n) turned to the side and smirked at Malleus. "Morning to you too, hornton!"

Ah...there was that smile..

Malleus gave a slight smile, "Good morning, (y/n)"

(y/n) had a slight scoff and playfully pouted

"I thought we promised to call me (n/n)! Hornton!"

Ah.. yeah..

"I...forgot, sorry.. (n/n)" Malleus had a faint blush as he looked away.

(y/n) chuckled a little which made malleus flinch for a while.

That chuckle..so cute...

Before Malleus could do anything else, the teacher came in and told everyone to go to a certain chapter.

Malleus had forgotten to ask (y/n) to come eat with him, he went to the rooftop and couldn't find the (taller/shorter) man.

Where could he be...?

He then walked to the cafeteria and heard laughter from two certain individuals.

...there it is again, the way (y/n) looked at Leona lovingly.. it was disgusting. The way the lion-like man nuzzled against him... It was utterly disgusting.

Malleus stared at the two longingly, hoping that (y/n) can understand what he's hinting.

(y/n) noticed him and waved at him, as a sign to come eat with them.

Malleus begrudgingly walked there and it turned awkward.

Yeah...it went awkward fast

Malleus stared at Leona-- and Leona did the same.

Man.. this was getting awkward, (y/n) tried to struck up a conversation.

"s-so...uhm..did you do your homework?"

The two then answered at the same time-- only to glare at eachother again.

Oh dear..

When it finally turned night time, (y/n) went out to their usual spot.

As always, he saw malleus sitting at the bench-- with a flower at hand.

"Hornton!" (y/n) shouted as he ran to his best friend.

Malleus's expression enlightened as he looked up to see his future man-- ahem.. friend.

"(n/n), good to see you tonight" malleus had a smile as he stood up.

The two were standing close to the fountain, the birds were chirping-- it was the perfect time to confess.

"(n/n)-- no, (y/n) .. I've taken a liking to you ever since you stumbled in this place. I love you, will you reciprocate my love?" Malleus had a big smile on him as he gave (y/n) the bouquet of roses he picked.

"Malleus..."

Is (y/n) gonna confess? Malleus was sure he woul---

"I'm sorry .."

...what?

Malleus 's eyes widened as (y/n) didn't take the bouquet and looked away from his eyes instead.

....ahaha, what a funny joke. He was sure that (y/n) liked him too-- right? ....right?

He stumbled behind a little but then chuckled

"I was merely joking, you're my best friend-- and I love you...platonically"

"oh!"

(y/n) had an embarrassed blush as he took the bouquet and nervously smiled.

It hurt his heart, alot.

"what? You thought I liked you, (n/n)?"

"pretty much yeah, it looked convincing. You should be an actor, hornton!" (Y/n) replied as he chuckled at Malleus.

At this point, malleus had his heart shattered. Who could (y/n) like other than him?

"(y/n), as a friend.. I should be able to know this. Who do you love?" Malleus asked immediately, his tone a little sad.

"oh? I love Leona! He's a nice guy and----"

Malleus didn't dare hear the other words.. why Leona? Why him? He would be happy for (y/n) if he picked anyone else but Leona

Damn you, Leona

Malleus tried to keep his cool and bowed at his friend.

"it's getting late, I'm going back to my dorm."

"oh! Alright, see you... Hornton!"

There it is again, the cheerful smile.

It hurt, it hurt alot.

"Please forget about Leona and more on me.."

"hmn? What was that?"

"nothing... Goodnight"

Malleus left (y/n) all alone..consumed with his thoughts
