Mirabel’s twin x Madrigal sisters head cannons!
Authors note: Sorry for not posting in a bit! But Im back and happy to write, so send requests on your way! I’ll make a separate post with rules later. Anyways, enjoy!
Reader is the older twin, and they have the ability to create bubbles
Isabela
You didn’t dislike Isabela the way Mirabel does, but you and Isabela aren’t best friends either, especially because of the way she treats Mirabel.
One day, she find you outside of the Casita, in tears.
She becomes concerned, and asks what is going on
You tell her that you’re naturally a bubbly person, and since happiness is usually associated with bubbles, you’re expected to be the happy, out going one,
You also tell her you feel pressured by Abuela, you don’t exactly have a certain service to the village, but you do keep the kids entertained. Abuela constantly tells you that you need to make an effort to serve the village and to quit messing around. She makes you feel like your gift is useless
Isabela understands your pressure of having to be happy and bubbly all the time, and reassures you that your gift is useful! She also ends up telling you about her pressures and problems. You realize how similar you two are, and helps you two grow closer to one another!
She makes you flower crowns, and sometimes you two have sleepovers in each other’s rooms
Luisa
Worried about her 24/7
You notice that all she does is work
You urge her to take a break, but she smiles at you and reassures you she's fine
You help Luisa out whenever you can, trying to ease her load a little bit
She pushes you away, saying she's got this, she fine, etc, but you're just as stubborn as her
Helping Luisa nearly everyday because it's the only time you feel like your gift is useful
When she gets nervous about the magic fading, you and Mirabel try to get her to open up
She does, and you and your twin give her a huge hug, which she returns, crushing you two
You become protective of your older sister, trying to force her to relax
"But he said he needs help with the donkeys-" "Luisa I said TAKE IT EASY"
Mirabel
Even though you both are twins, you were got a gift, and she didn't
The night she didn't get her gift, you comforted her, and refused to stay in your new room, wanting to stay with Mirabel
You didn't use your gift for a while after that
You two are close, you are rarely seen without each other
You always tell her she's special just the way she is, and shouldn't let anyone else think otherwise
You stick up for her when Abuela makes her feel left out, but unlike Juileta you're a little more aggressive
"Mirabel! I don't know what your doing, but stop it!" "Abuela, quit being so hard on Mira!"
You always know when Mirabel feels sad
You tell Mirabel that she is exactly what the family needs

Authors note! Hey guys! This is a small fic based on my encanto AU (link about it here https://magnificentpeachnerd.tumblr.com/post/669587442913918976 and if it doesn't work, it's pinned on my acc!) This scene is basically where they get kicked out and Bruno makes a promise to Mirabel. If this is well received I'll keep writing about it! In this AU I think Bruno would call Mirabel "mi sol" which is Spanish for my sun, since she is always happy and helps Bruno sees the positives in everything. Also, I was on 2 hours of sleep and don't proofread it, so I apologize for any mistakes. Anyways, likes and reblogs are appreciated and enjoy!
Mirabel struggled to keep up with her uncle, and was practically dragged by him in the rain. "Tio Bruno! Tio Bruno! Why did Abuela want us out?" Her questions fell on deaf ears since Bruno was in shock. Mirabel didn't get her gift that day, concerning her family. Alma begged for Bruno to look into the future, and he agreed.
That's when they saw the vision- Mirabel in front of the Casita. But the Casita had cracks in it. Alma feared for the worst, and decided that Mirabel and Bruno should leave. Julieta and Agustín begged for another solution, and Pedro tried to reason with her, but Alma argued that Bruno's visions brought distress to everyone, and that Mirabel would destroy their Casita. She urged both of them out with Casita's help. Before the argument got more intense, Bruno scooped up Mirabel and ran out the house with no plan leading the duo to where they are now.
"Tio!" This time Mirabel said his name louder, snapping Bruno out of his thoughts. "Yeah Mirabel?" "Why did Abuela want us to leave? Why was my mama so sad?". Bruno struggled to find an explanation, he didn't know whether to break the news to her or not. "Um, Mirabel" he kneeled on front her, so she was looking at him. "I need you to listen. You know how my gift is seeing in the future, right?". Mirabel nodded, fidgeting with her hands.
"I saw something- I don't know if it was bad, I don't think it is. But Abuela thought it was a bad thing. And she sent you with me, so I wouldn't be alone!". He felt like she could see through his lie, but Mirabel smiled at him. "Ok tio, I promise I won't make you feel alone!". Bruno felt guilty once he heard her say that. She had no idea about the vision, if he just hadn't seen it, if he hadn't told his mother, she wouldn't be in this situation. Bruno wrapped Mirabel in a hug. "And I'll promise that I'll always make you happy, mi sol".

For the sake of not feeling bad for Alma, her husband is still alive. They still lost their home though and that's how they got the miracle. Once the Casita starts to fall apart, they decide to send Isabella, Louisa, Camilo, Dolores and Antonio to find Mirabel and Bruno
For wholesomeness tho, Bruno promises Mirabel that they will stick together and Dolores helps them out since she can hear them inside the walls
For some angst, Isabella unfortunately has to keep up the perfect granddaughter image

You don’t remember much about your mother, other then she didn’t want you around anymore
Rengoku reassured you that he loves you enough for two parents and he shows it all the time!
Despite Rengoku being confident and bright, you were quite the opposite!
You were very shy and quiet. You get along great with Kanao
You hated attention, so in order to avoid you hid under your dad’s haori
Any time and anywhere you will hide behind him
You adored his cape, it was warm and he was tall enough to hide you from others you didn’t know well
Rengoku doesn’t mind at all! He thinks it’s adorable
It makes it easy for him to take care of you since you are always behind him
You surprise everyone since it is hard to notice you
“Um, Mr Rengoku, you have someone right behind you!”
“Hm? That’s just my daughter Y/N! Say hi!”
You would Peak out from his haori and give a small wave, and then immediately hide behind him again
You hated when he left for missions, afraid he would leave you like your mother did
