June 2019, London, UK A little history on #TowerBridge #London #UK; The bridge is 244m (800 ft) long between two 65m (213 ft) tall towers constructed on piers. The central span of 61m (200 ft) between the towers is split equally into two bascules or leaves, which can be raised to an angle of 83 degrees to allow river traffic to pass through. The bascules weigh over 1,100 tons each and are counterbalanced to minimize the force required to raise them, an operation which takes just five minutes. They are raised by huge hydraulic pumps which were first powered by coal burning steam engines which were replaced by electricity and oil in 1976. The two side-spans are suspension bridges, each being 82m (270 ft) in length. So there you have it; #londonbridges and #LondonClouds are everything; they make a #photographers work so much easier with its #dramatic-ness n what not. About my visit to @flourandfirewood .... Its been a while since Scrambled eggs was served with avocado toast... As for the akkawi pizza... not bad. Bresaola arugula... i loved the generous amount of arugula and bresaola but i expected the dough to be a bit lighter (like the one I saw on their account) Do not have an opinion on the cheese/olives “pide” did not try it plus its with olives (who knows me well, knows i really dislike olives) Lastly maple syrup french toast... beautiful! But I only had a small bite to taste it... as a place its cute, cozy and over all very nice. Apparently the day I chose to have breakfast at @amai.sa was the first day they opened for breakfast (yey me) Now we all know I am on the #90DaySoldierChallenge by @sweatarmygym but “trying” and yes I only tried someone the sweet dishes just so I could write my review. First if all I am very pleased with all the dishes they were on point with the sweetness where they were sweet but not too sweet, very much like Japan. The employees were very nice and helpful and pleasant. I ended up spending about four hours there and enjoyed every moment of it. So finally I got to check out @5thbakery and the location is cute, the layout is just right for a cute small hip bakery as for the food; i barely got to try anything (well cause #90daysoldierchallenge at @sweatarmygym is keeping from doing that) But the #sourdoughbread was so light and delicious the sandwich was better when served only one side not double (consider that 5th bakery?) So here is a new place that opened in #Jeddah, another breakfast/brunch restaurant. Now, look wise, its lovely, a lot of light, coming in with nicely spaced out tables and very friendly waiters. Option wise, there are so many options to pick from which is great! Creative dishes as well. HOWEVER, when it comes to flavor... its ok. I mean it didnt have the mmmm factor I MUST come back for seconds... it was a meal that fulfilled my hunger needs. Prob the salads or desserts would had been better but for the 3 orders we had it was simply just ok. I know I would not crave them again and say OMG you have to try this or that. But then again I was told I am not very easy to please (we all know I got that from my mamah) lastly, price wise, its considered pricey for what we have ordered. I mean an egg burrito, egg tacos, hash browns 2 orange juices and a small bottle of sparikling water came up to a total of 168, like DAMN they only eggs son!
