Eternity: Chapter 1

A/N: Hello everyone! I finally got around to writing lolll😭 This is a Yoriichi x pregnant f!reader fanfic! This will definitely have chapters and it’s based on the convos I’ve had with a Yoriichi bot on character.ai…lol. Yoriichi never sought for approval… until he met you.

There was something about you that made him want to just… do his best, to impress you. No matter the task, he would do it for you—you just had that ability to pull anyone in with ease, and he was no exception.

He would always find himself looking at you for your approval—finding ways to keep your attention on him. And if he could, only him.

You were the sun in his life. So bright…so warm…so close.

“Yoriichi!” You call out as you run towards him.

You snapped Yoriichi out of his thoughts. He quickly turned and faced you as you approached him. He was busy with organizing his inventory, taking count of what he had, and sorting it as well in case one of you needed to go on a mission.

His face immediately brightened when he saw you. It was like seeing his world go from dark and gloomy and devoid of color to being alive and filled with joy.

When you finally approached him, you took a moment to catch your breath.

Yoriichi had quickly gotten to his feet to greet you, placing the items he was holding in his hands down on a table that was in front of him. He looked up at you with an adoring smile. This look on him… so sweet, so gentle… and so soft… his sweet eyes sparkling underneath his bangs that were parted ever so slightly as he tilted his head.

“Hello there, my lady…” He greeted you with a smile.

“Hello honey!” you tiptoe to give him a small peck on his cheek.

Yoriichi's cheeks flushed a dark hue of red as he looked down to meet your gaze, his eyes were so loving and full of warmth. It was so much that you could almost feel the butterflies in your stomach flying around in a frenzy. His smile on his face matched your own.

He felt like melting to hear you address him as such, as your honey. He wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you closer to him. His lips gently came up and met yours as he kissed you back, your lips were so smooth and supple… he could spend hours kissing you…

You both pull away and look into each other's eyes lovingly, still holding on to each other.

“So, what are you up to?” You ask as you look at the items he placed down earlier.

Yoriichi let out an amused chuckle as he turned to face the items he set down earlier. He went back to the table and started sorting the items away. His eyes still facing away from you as he spoke.

“Just getting our inventory in order… just in case we get another assignment soon. Hopefully not…" He muttered the last sentence underneath his breath. “How about you, love? I thought you were busy training.”

You sigh. “I had to finish early. I get too tired easily now that… I’m carrying our baby…” you smile, revealing that you’re pregnant.

Yoriichi stopped organizing his inventory at that, and a deep flush of red covered his cheeks at your announcement. He cleared his throat as his voice became soft and quiet, his eyes still fixed on the table.

“Our… baby?” He spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. He turns to face you now. You walk closer to him and gently grab his hand.

“Yes…we’re going to have a baby, Yoriichi” You lightly squeeze his hand.

A big smile spread across Yoriichi's face as his fingers interlaced with yours. His lips parted like he was about to speak, but he had to pause for a moment, clearing his throat to speak coherently and in a voice that wasn't a mess.

“Oh, wonderful, wonderful! We're finally going to have a little one…our very own… a sweet, sweet little angel!" He gushed out in excitement.

“I know starting a family has always been a dream of yours…and now it’s finally coming true” You say, still holding hands with your husband.

Yoriichi couldn't help but get giddy and excited. He was so happy to be a father, he was already planning on what clothes he could make for his child…what he could teach them…what he would do to make sure that they were happy…he wanted his child to live a life with no worries, filled with happiness.

“I’m so happy that…we’re finally getting a little one.” He smiled widely.

“Although now that I’m pregnant… I don’t think I’ll be able to continue with being a demon slayer” You express in a sad tone as you purse your lips together.

Yoriichi placed his things aside and grabbed your other hand.

“Yes…we can't have you risking your life like that anymore. You need to take it easy from now on" He tried to reassure you.

“I know…” You look away. “Maybe I’ll rejoin the corps when the baby is older.” You try to give a reassuring smile, but you still looked a bit sad.

Yoriichi's eyes grew a little sad as he looked into yours, but his mouth curved upward into a warm, soft smile. He squeezed your hands as he stepped forward and kissed your forehead.

“I know…but for now, let's just focus on you and our little one.” He said in a soft tone. He started to rub his thumb across the top of your hand.

Your mouth curved into a smile. You turn to look at the mountains on the horizon.

“The sun is setting. Do you have a mission tonight?” You ask Yoriichi.

Yoriichi's eyes glanced away from your pretty smile to face the mountains, which were lit up by the setting sun. He looked back again at you and nodded.

“Yes… I‘be been assigned to kill a demon in the forest tonight.” He said with a sigh, he had really hoped to spend more time with you… but his responsibilities as a demon slayer came first.

“I thought so,” You say with a sigh. “Let’s get these items inside, so I can give you some food to take with you!” You tell Yoriichi. You grab some items and start heading home.

Yoriichi's face brightened as he followed you, grabbing the last of his items. After a minute of walking, you both enter inside your home and set the items aside.

Yoriichi was happy to smell your cooking, he hadn't eaten all day and his stomach rumbled with hunger. He looked up at you with a soft smile, it was just so nice to be home with you. He enjoyed these moments where it was just you and him.

“Thank you, dear…you didn't have to, but it’s very nice to have some food to take with me” He said as you packed his food and put it in a bag.

Yoriichi started to get ready for his mission by sharpening his sword. He couldn't help but look down at his sharp weapon, making sure it was at its top condition and not prone to accidents. Once he was satisfied, he approached you. You hand him his food and give him a kiss on his cheek.

“I’ll be waiting for you”

Yoriichi was taken by surprise as the kiss landed on his cheek, but he immediately blushed and cleared his throat as he quickly turned to look at you with that warm smile.

“I'll leave for now… I promise I'll be safe, my love…" He said as he placed his hand on your belly. He gently kissed your forehead and went outside. You watched as he walked further into the forest. He turned around and waved at you. Soon his silhouette disappeared into the night.

You sigh and slide the shoji closed. All you could do was wait for him to get home.
