Okay I have no idea who you are or why you’re being recommended under the hszbin hotel tag for regular deer posts other than maybe the algorithm thinks you’re alastor, but do those rainbow antler commissions of your extend to that sort of thing?

nothing fills me with more rage than when i'm innocently browsing the deer tag and he jump scares me. ya'll he barely qualifies as it is, please don't tag him like he's actually a cervid.

Random anon here, what do you think about The Moxy Show ? I think it's nuts a majority of Cartoon Network's first show is lost media and it's turning 30 this December 🏁

hello random anon, uh, i've never heard of this before. i was 6 when it stopped airing, and i was almost exclusively a nickelodeon watcher until at least 2000. i do love lost media though, the entire concept is fascinating and almost unbelievable given modern culture!

A new viewpoint on antlers reveals the evolutionary history of deer (Cervidae, Mammalia)

something i've wanted to do for a while now. i've scoured the internet for something like this and can't find anything that compares all the different types of antlers together. except one recent study on their evolution, which is also very interesting on its own! i simplified it to provide a visual reference, while still trying to be scientifically accurate. some things differ between this and trophy scoring terminology like where the beam is and whatnot, so if something looks weird that's why.

small additional note, this study and others provide a lot of evidence that eld's deer should be in their own genus as it doesn't appear similar enough to barasingha and schomburgk's deer. however this doesn't seem to be adapted anywhere yet, so they're still in Rucervus for this guide.

i might be able to get ssdi but that’s still gonna take months to process. my savings are running out fast. my entire fucking car is gone. i hate begging like this but i am getting desperate.

i will draw just about anything you want, even just a sketch, $10-$20. if you’re able to donate even just a few bucks i would be eternally grateful. hell if you’re in the columbus ohio area and you see a black kia with pokemon stickers on the back and an amazing license plate let me know and/or call the cops. there might be a shadow hanging on the rearview mirror if the fuckers didn’t take him off.
