Snape Comic Part 2/2! ✨  (Part 1 Here!)

In case you’re wondering, yes, I gave Snape a mustache! 😁 I put it up to a vote over on Instagram, because he has a mustache in some of the chapter art in the books! I thought it could be a fun departure from his usual design from the movies, and it won the vote! 

This scene was the one that made me hate Snape... Even after all the Lily backstory, I couldn’t like him. Maybe that’s why I felt the need to give him a nice villain mustache! 😂

So I'm working on the 3rd volume of Obliviate, and I wanted to test an idea for a partial gold foil cover. Then I remembered that making 3D art is my day job! So I whipped up a metallic test for the cover in Substance Painter. ✨😁

So I'm unfollowing you for now. Not because I don't like your art but because atm it's a bit too painful to see HP stuff on my dashboard. I just thought I would tell because I do want to thank you for the last post you made

Some thoughts as an angry Harry Potter fan: I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to be a Harry Potter fan, and fan artist lately. My #1 priority right now is supporting the transgender community. Therefore I plan to never make any purchase that will support JK Rowling ever again. After all the hateful things she’s said and done, especially with the news about the subject matter of her next book, I can’t, and won’t support her anymore. Where does that leave Loquacious Literature and my comics? Does hating JKR mean I can’t like Harry Potter? I don’t know, honestly. This magical world that brought me joy, comfort and solace for over 20 years… suddenly feels tainted. My plan for now is to finish Obliviate Volume 3, which I’ve already been working on all year. And then to donate a large chunk of the profits to a few Trans charities. For now, I still plan on drawing comics, but I may switch gears to more original work, or other fandoms occasionally in the months and years to come. I hope that is ok with you. Let me know what you think - how have you all been coping? Are you trying to separate the author from the work? Are there any books you'd recommend to read that you wish there was more fanart for? 😅 I hope you're all hanging in there. ❤️Katie
