A landscape design I did based on the region of Lan Sercene, the brainchild of a wonderful Project Tamriel colleague, Taniquetil-- a land of massive coves and caverns and elegant cities within, on the northeast coast of the Summerset Isle. Used a mixture of photo-bashing and hand-painting in Photoshop to achieve this look. Attached also are a number of black and white thumbnail sketches I did before I began working on the final composition.

A progression of sword designs done for a concept design class. The prompt was to design a series of props and gradually hone in the scope to just a single one as I polished the designs. Was told during the design process that they were reminiscent of Eldar designs from Warhammer. Is that true? I never really got into Warhammer. Too much of a money sink for a poor artist like me!
Hm, in hindsight, I really love that fish-hook design. Maybe I should take it a bit further?

Just a little spread of costume designs for a character I did for a class some time ago.
Tired of the Elder Scrolls stuff? No? Good, me neither.

Glass Armor. First introduced in Morrowind as a High Elven design mass-produced for warriors in service to the Dark Elven god-king Vivec, a Gigeresque mass of neon green shards of volcanic glass set into elegant silver plates. It then gradually evolved into the more tame Ray Lederer design we all know and love from Skyrim. Both designs suit the High Elves of their respective games very well, but what sort of armors would they be constructing in their homeland? I wanted to design something beyond extravagant, purely decadent, calling to mind Art Nouveau sensibilities and even some influence from architecture, with the inlays resembling stained glass windows, and each individual plate resembling a flower petal or insect wing. Underneath the plates is a suit of scale mail, with each individual scale inlaid with a glass gem. I would love to see this design implemented into a mod as some sort of artifact from the High Elven homeland.

I don't remember much about why I did this piece, but, hey, look at the rendering on that hand! Good work, me. The strange greenish material on some of the armor here is "newtscale", the hide of a creature from Cyrodiil in the Elder Scrolls lore. Whatever it is, it's certainly not what I myself would call a newt, because newts are amphibians, not reptiles! No scales, Bethesda. No scales.
I did this piece back when I used the name c0dacan0n. Not plagiarizing, I swear! She's me!

You folks ever heard of a Worm That Walks? Well, I hadn't when I drew this, but it's this nasty creature from Dungeons and Dragons that forms when a lich's body is entirely rotted away and replaced by a squirming mass of worms and maggots! Sick, right? Anyway, that's what I think Mannimarco (aka the King of Worms aka KW) would've been before he reached godhood during Daggerfall, but here he is as a particularly rotten lich with maggots infesting his body instead! Two different robe designs (people thought the first one was too glitzy), a couple different stages of decay in his face, and a poor, poor, foreign adventurer, not used to seeing this level of necromancy in her homeland of Morrowind.

This was a fun one! I was asked by some folks at Tamriel Rebuilt to take the design of the Spider Daedra (or Perthan) from An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire (pictured here!) and update it as if it were made for the world of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. See, it's a totally different style...! Morrowind's look is a bit more grounded, I think. I am quite fond of the original design, though, it's really got that cheesy-but-cool 90s adventure game look, haha.
I do wonder if Tamriel Rebuilt ever made anything from my design?

Aha! Found something in my archives that isn't Elder Scrolls fanart! This one is a bit of an oddity; a sort of experimental "commission" I did for a class a few years back. The premise was to design a character based on a certain franchise's universe, and I was assigned the Pirates of the Caribbean universe (films I've admittedly never seen to this day!). A classmate gave me some more specific directions: a member of Davy Jones' crew based on a blue-ringed octopus. I think this fits the bill!

concept art I did for the city of Alinor in the Summerset Isles of the Elder Scrolls universe. I might be a little obsessed with these high elves...! If I recall correctly, this piece served as an inspiration for the Altmer city models in the Elder Kings 2 mod for Crusader Kings 3, when I was working with their 3D artist, AJ.
