Summary:

Hello one and all!
I know I have been MIA for a while now. It has been a weird year / time for me.
I’ve had a lack of motivation to do just about everything. I was sick with COVID almost 3 months ago and it turned into an upper respiratory infection. And I’m still battling a cough from that.
My emotions have been crazy, work has been stressful, and my roommate and I are still in the midst of a weird dynamic. To the point we’re not sure if our friendship can be restored/resolved
However
There is finally a light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve been feeling more like myself this week.
I want to write again. I feel like I need to write again. And I have some ideas!!

Hello 2023 🍾
I know I have not been very active as of late. I’ve mentioned updates and got no where when it comes to posting. Truthfully it took everything inside of me to survive the last 2 months. 2022 was a tough year for me, especially right at the beginning and the end. I’ve opened up some about it, but not a lot, though my inbox is always open for anyone who ever does need to talk. Because if 2022 taught me anything it’s how important it is to have a community of people you feel safe with to open up to.
Tumblr was a complete God send to me last year. Without this site, the amazing people I’ve befriended, and all the great work I’m still getting to read I’m not sure my sanity would’ve made it. It helped me find my passion in writing again, while also giving me a place to distract myself from the depression and I’m so thankful for that.
So here’s to 2023! I hope it the best year yet for all of us. And stay on the lookout for new content to come!

Felt I should update you guys!
For starters I hope everyone who celebrated Thanksgiving had a good one. Now we’re entering further into the holiday season and this is always just a busy time of year.
Currently I’m finishing up my fall semester of college for this year and I’m very thankful that it’s almost over. It’s been a rough semester emotionally and I need a break. On top of that financially I’m struggling and there is so much bullshit going on with my family that has to be dealt with and it’s just a lot for me to process. Add as well that I’m working full time and my job brings on its own stresses. It’s just a lot.
Finally I celebrate Christmas, which I know not everyone does. But I do and this is my first Christmas without my wonderfully beautiful and loving grandmother and I just miss her so much it’s unreal. So part of the reason I’ve been MIA for a couple of weeks is I’m overwhelmed with my grief due to the first holiday / 1st anniversary of her death all jam packed into the last 3 and 1st month of the year.
I want so desperately to write. I have so many ideas and plans and it’s such a happy and safe space for me. But writing and updates on current wip is coming slowly right now while I take the time I need to properly process through my grief. And also while I just process through all the information I am constantly learning about myself that are a little overwhelming at times.
You guys have no idea how much it means that you’re all so patiently waiting for updates. I love all the new people stumbling upon and liking my stories. I love seeing them reblogged and I love getting notifications that someone has interacted with this tumblr in some way. It really does mean a lot. And it truly helps me get through the day sometimes! So please don’t stop engaging!
Lastly I cannot promise to update any current works I have going right now because it’s too much and unless I have the motivation/inspiration to do so i don’t feel it would be the quality I want it to be. But I will be posting 2 Christmas stories ft. some of our fav pilots for a special Christmas challenge I signed up for last month! They’ll be posted on my main blog under @steve--harrington--gal but I’ll likely repost them on this blog as well at some point. So be on the lookout for those. And if I don’t interact much for the rest of the year I hope you all have a lovely holiday season regardless of what holiday you’re celebrating and even if you don’t celebrate anything!

Checking in
Guys! I promise I am alive, as well as I can be, and working on updates. I just needed a little mental break with all the craziness going on in my life.
For starters I had to have a surgery to remove some hardware from my ankle after I broke it 2 years ago. And thankfully it went well everything’s looking good. I’m up and walking around which is fantastic!
I also have 4 days off work coming up thanks to this week being Thanksgiving! And while I’m super excited about yummy food 🍲 I’ll have plenty of uninterrupted time to write and work on some updates for y’all!
Because I don’t have a lot scheduled which is unusual for my holidays but I’m excited about it. Also just wanna throw this out there as a reminder to whoever needs to hear this: you don’t have to surround yourself with anyone who is toxic if you don’t want to.
Your own mental health is important and should not be compromised because of a holiday or anyone else telling you that you have an obligation to them or certain events. If you don’t care for yourself and your own mental health it will not get any better! And this year I am taking my own advice and making a healthy choice for myself by not interacting with members of my family who are not healthy for me to be around or who would make an already difficult holiday season more difficult.
I instead will be spending some much needed time alone working on myself and on things that make me happy like writing stories for you guys! So basically expect to see updates in some capacity this week!

... there is kind of a story update at the end I promise
So I’m out of town this weekend visiting with a girl I was best friends with throughout middle school and high school until a boy came between us our senior year. Honestly, this meet up has been a long time coming. While we hadn’t seen each other in 12 years, we only just reconnected last year after a tragedy struck her family, then tragedy struck my family pushing our face to face meeting back. I did not make this 5 hour drive away from my home alone, because well this is a very big and emotional weekend for me.
Anyway, last night we all met up for dinner. And of course we’re going back and forth about our young lives together. We’re talking about all the different boys we had crushes when we were young, all the dumb things we did as fourteen, fifteen, and sixteen year old girls to get these boys to notice us... mostly me haha. And all the just nostalgic memories from being young and in high school... because as much as I talk about how much I hated high school there were a lot of good times too. I wouldn’t go back because I’m in a much healthier and happier place than I was then, but I do miss the good days sometimes.
It was a good ice breaking conversation. Then as I’m heading back to the hotel with my friend I drove up with she’s giving me a whole ‘I feel like I know you so much better look’. And she does now. She’s my friend post high school who has actually had a chance to meet and interact with someone from my childhood who isn’t my family. And we all know we’re different people with our families than with our friends.
Then my friend is going on about how she needs to see pictures of all these different boys I had a crush on or whatever throughout my life, mostly for some perspective since she’s never met, seen pictures of, or even heard of these boys before.
And it was determined that in the car ride from Bilbo’s pizza to the hotel we’re staying at that my childhood involved a ton of cute romantic comedy moments... just with different boys at different times which was very inspiring for me...
So long story to get to my point, but expect some hella fluffy, funny, and just down right adorable scenes to unfold in upcoming chapters and stories about our favorite pilots... Rooster, Hangman, and Bob... inspired by the apparent romantic comedy that was and still is my life.

Plagiarism Advice
Hi all! Throughout my unfortunately substantial experience with my work being stolen, I’ve learned a lot of really useful tips to deal with plagiarism. I hope these help!
Whenever you post your own work on a site, make sure to attribute your name or url to it.
One of the easiest ways to find plagiarism of your work is to copy and paste lines from your work into Google. If they’ve been stolen, chances are results will pop up.
When you find a result, contact the ‘author’ of the plagiarized piece first. Ask them to remove it or to provide credit to you.
If they decline, contact the owner of the site the ‘author’ has posted your work on, and ask them to remove it. Provide them with links of both your original work and the thief’s work, as well as date stamps to show that your piece was written or posted first. Screenshots too.
If the owner refuses to remove the piece, go to the following website (www.whoishostingthis.com), and type in the name of the site your stolen work is posted on. This will reveal what company or site is hosting the site your work is on.
Once the hosting site pops up, email or contact their abuse department with the same info (screenshots, urls, links, etc) you originally provided the first site owner. Ask them to remove the piece. Make sure to provide them with a formal DMCA notification. You can easily generate one here and it only takes about 2 minutes.
This last step should almost always work. If it doesn’t, you have every right to threaten legal action unless the hosting site complies with your request to have your stolen work removed.

Introducing...
Penny hadn’t expected a pregnancy in 1984, especially not with her on again off again boyfriend Pete Mitchell. But when life hands you lemons you do your best to make some lemonade. And that’s how Penny and Pete ended up ‘co-parenting’ their daughter Olivia and hoping for the best.
Olivia and Bradley promised each other from a young age they’d always be there for each other no matter what. And sometimes that looked like cheering Bradley on at a baseball game, or being a safe space for Olivia when things were tough with her parents. Other times it meant letting Bradley cry on her shoulder at his mothers funeral, and Olivia choosing her best friend over her dad. And finally sometimes it meant crossing over into unfamiliar territory of no longer just best friends, but maybe something more.

Hello all and welcome to my writing side blog. As you and can tell I have decided to try taking requests! There are of course rules to be followed which you can find below. And since I am a busy adult who works full time, attends classes online part time, and the holidays are coming up it could take me a some time to get to everyone’s requests if there end up being a ton. So please be patient and understanding!

Monday Update
Happy Monday guys!
I just wanted to say that I’m feeling a lot better today than I have in a few weeks. And I do plan to be updating some things over the course of the week.
I’m also going to be participating in a Christmas challenge so there are going to be a few Christmas ideas coming!
Also in the spirit of the holidays and wanting to spread some joy to you guys I am going to take requests for one-shots! I’ll be adding a post later with the rules and whatnot so be on the look out for that!

Hey guys!
I just wanted to throw this out here and let you all know that I’m just going through a weird funk right now. This whole year has just not been good to me. And as we continue to approach the holidays it’s very likely that it’ll get worse. I lost my grandma at the beginning of the year and I’ve really been struggling with it all year. There have been moments I feel up, but unfortunately there have been more down... like right now. I do have multiple stories being worked on currently, just very slowly. This month is very busy for me, I’m going to be out of town next weekend visiting an old friend, and then I have to have surgery on my ankle to remove a screw that’s causing some pain, and of course the semester is getting closer to the end. So I will be updating everything in due time, but it’s going to take me a little bit, and I appreciate all of you!

This Weeks Update
With the weekend coming up I’ll have more time to write and work on updates. And I’m just curious as to what you guys want to see more of?
Do we want more Bradley updates? A possible (new) Jake update not asshole ex boyfriend Jake. Though he could make an appearance as well. A Bob or Fanboy update? Or a Rhett update?
Also I am thinking about taking requests. If I did they would be whoever x reader requests. Would you all be interested in that? Please let me know! <3
Honestly, right now writing stories to share with you guys is one of the few things in life keeping me above water which is probably why I have so many ideas. It’s also very difficult for me to stay focused on just one story at a time because I become some overwhelmed with how that one story is going that I over think the whole thing. So if some stories do take a little longer to updated it’s not because I’ve forgotten about it, but rather it needs a little space for the ideas to come to me.
