When Will Jin Actually Find the Map of the Soul?
If you happen to wonder when Jin ends up finding the map of the soul, you might be able to get your answer from the information given to us from the highlight reels and the epiphany MV.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Towards the end of the highlight reel was when we saw Jin attempt to deliver a bouquet of Smeraldo flowers to the girl he was planning to meet up with. However, he failed to deliver the flowers because soon after, the girl got hit by a vehicle.
Tumblr media
Soon after this scene, we see a short montage of scenes from different MVs, seemingly recapping on all the events related to BU that happened previously (hinting at the fact that these series of events are included in Jin's time loop).
Then right after this short montage, we see Jin suddenly catch a vase filled with lilies that was about to fall. Here we can assume that possibly he has found the map of the soul, as right after this scene, he takes a look at himself in the mirror, then leaves, then continues to narrate the following words:
"Though many seasons pass, there are places that cannot be reached. Yet another storm to be faced and to be weathered head on. Loving without fear, Hesitating and parting, Merely living as the person I am."
Then in the Epiphany MV, we see the same vase of Lillies that we saw earlier in the highlight reel sitting on the table in front of where Jin is sitting.
Now this is where we introduce the flower card (AKA the Ashbless cards) that’s previously been mentioned in the fifth story that was posted by the Smeraldo blog.
Tumblr media
The flower card, depending on how it's turned (upright or upside down), can represent different meanings. When turned upright, the card symbolizes 'bearing fruit', 'blooming' (like beauty). However, when shown in the opposite direction, it signifies 'the fall', 'the end', 'a new start'. We can also see the flower card being presented through the album covers of the LY Her and LY Tear albums combined:
Tumblr media
Now, at the end of Epiphany MV, we received this message:
"To come to the end of the process of finding one's self means to return to the starting point what must be discovered in the end is the beginning of everything, the milestone, the map of the soul. Although a part of everyone, it is not discovered by anyone. I will try to find it, starting now.."
Tumblr media
The first time we were introduced to the Smeraldo flowers was sometime before the LY: Her comeback in 2017. LY Her just so happens to also be the first album in the entire LY series. The last time we saw the Smeraldo flowers make an appearance in BTS MVs were in videos such as RUN MV and the highlight reels. We’ve also seen the Smeraldo flowers make an appearance in some concept photos, such as WINGS concept photos.
We know that Smeraldo flowers means “the truth that cannot be told”. And from the stories we’ve been told that has involved anyone attempting to deliver Smeraldo flowers to the person they loved, the Smeraldo flowers always failed to be delivered to its intended recipient.
Now, we know that white lilies symbolizes purity, divinity and innocence, but most importantly, lilies also stand for youth and rebirth. The flower is also most often associated with funeral and symbolize that the soul of the departed has received restored innocence after death.
Death in our case, can be symbolic of Jin’s many time traveling time looping cycle sequences. Each time he travels back in time again, it’s as if he’s been reborn. Since Smeraldo flowers, when held upside down symbolizes 'the fall', 'the end', and 'a new start'. We also know the reason why Jin keeps failing to break out of this cycle of time looping, is most likely because he hasn’t been able to be true to himself and others, hence the Smeraldo flowers and “the truth that cannot be told”.
So when we see him catch the vase of lilies that was about to fall in the highlight reels, as well as the reappearance of the same vase of lilies in the Epiphany, we can assume that the white lilies symbolizes the flower card being flipped around towards the right direction. From these hints, we can guess that Jin’s flower card, or destiny, began to turn around when he realized he has to find the map of the soul in Epiphany. Then at the end of the highlight reels, Jin finally breaks out of the cycle of time looping, as he the highlight reels ends with him narrating the following words:
"Though many seasons pass, there are places that cannot be reached. Yet another storm to be faced and to be weathered head on. Loving without fear, Hesitating and parting, Merely living as the person I am."
We can theorize that the ending of highlight reels occurs after Epiphany, where Jin finally comes to the realization after finding his map of the soul, that even though there will be many obstacles to face in the future, these obstacles should be faced head on, and that he should learn to love (perhaps himself) without fear, and learn to embrace himself for who he is.
How did he find the map of the soul? Well, that’s up for us to figure out, hopefully, from the information that will soon be given to us in the near future :)

Connection between BU & TU - Jin and Soobin are actually stuck in a dream
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, following TXT's latest concept trailer, "The Dream Chapter - ETERNITY", I noticed a few things. First of all, the pattern on the table in their new concept trailer, vs. BTS' Young Forever maze.
Young Forever... Eternal?
Forever = Eternal
Throughout the concept trailer, Soobin slowly gets left out by his fellow members, only to realize in the end, that he's actually trapped in a glass container.
At the end of Epiphany MV, we see all the boys sitting on and standing by Jin's truck, only in the end to find out that all the other members, except for Jin, are actually glitches and projections.
So something to note: In both TU and BU, both Jin and Soobin seem to be the odd ones out:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, if you go back to TXT's "Run Away" MV, you might've noticed that at the beginning, there's this magic wand glittering type sound effect. Some people have figured out that this sound effect seem to resemble a very similar sound effect that appeared in Alice in Wonderland, just before Alice was about to jump down the rabbit hole.
Towards the end of the MV, we see the boys jump into a pool, then on the bottom of the pool, they discover a hole, which soon after lead them to a new realm, like a forest under water.
A forest....
Tumblr media
But the thing with Alice in Wonderland is that, Alice never actually physically jumped down a hole into a different realm. At the end of the cartoon, we find out she was actually sleeping and dreaming the whole time.
Dream... "The Dream Chapter"
At the end of "Run Away" MV, the boys encounter a door.
Now, let's go back to BTS' Persona MV.
Tumblr media
“The dream is a little hidden door in the innermost and most secret recesses of the soul, opening into that cosmic night which was psyche long before there was any ego-consciousness, and which will remain psyche no matter how far our ego-consciousness extends.” - Carl Jung
Tumblr media
So most likely, both Soobin and Jin are stuck in the unconscious realm. Jin's not actually traveling back in time and soobin isn't physically stuck in a glass container. Instead, they're both existing in a separate state of consciousness from the rest of the boys. The unconscious is where all of our dreams and memories occur and exist, so perhaps in BU, Jin is actually stuck traveling back in cycles within the unconscious realm, like in the movies Groundhog Day, or Happy Death Day.
Now, here's the thing that intrigued me the most.
At the beginning of "The dream chapter: Eternal Concept Trailer", everything, from the table, to the floor, to the food, are all black and white, grey scale to be exact. The only colors we see are with the boys.
Tumblr media
At the end of Epiphany MV, the screen is in color when the boys are all together by Jin's truck. But as the screen turns to black and white, every one else disappears except for Jin.
Tumblr media
One study concluded that "Opinions have been divided on the colour of dreams for almost a century. Studies from 1915 through to the 1950s suggested that the vast majority of dreams are in black and white." - newscientist.com
Now going back to what I said in the beginning with the maze in both TXT's new concept trailer and Young Forever:
The maze, to be exact, is not actually a physical maze, but rather, a maze of the human psyche, it can also be seen as the map of the soul.
Dreams have also been said to be repressed memories that are usually suppressed in the unconscious part of our brains during the day, and are presented to us in the form of dreams during the night, when we're sleeping.
So perhaps, the boys are trying to navigate their way through this maze, in order to find a way out of being stuck in an eternal cycle of dreams.

NEVERMIND: The Locked Phone Booth
Perhaps one of the most iconic scenes in WINGS era is, the locked phone booth:
Tumblr media
Now, this phone booth can be seen as symbolism mainly for 2 things:
1. Namjoon's fear of calling his parents or his regret of not having picked up
2. Taehyung's call for help in time.
In one part of The Notes, we learn that Namjoon's family moves to a new area due to poverty. This happened during the boys' turmoil period, when their friendship began to fell apart. This was when Taehyung stabbed his father to death in I Need U MV. Taehyung ended up going to jail, perhaps both physically and mentally, for his crime. He called Namjoon after stabbing his father, but Namjoon most likely failed to pick up Taehyung's phone call, hence the locked phone booth.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, we also learn in The Notes, that Namjoon meets another boy who reminded Namjoon of Taehyung. Namjoon worked as a delivery boy during his time living in this new area. Namjoon and this other boy saw each other as competitors with their delivery jobs. However, one day the boy that reminded Namjoon of Taehyung, unfortunately passed away from a delivery accident while riding his scooter in the rain. This accident made Namjoon feel like somehow it was his fault, and Namjoon felt deep regret for this boy. In some way, the boy really did remind him of Taehyung.
After the accident, Namjoon decided to leave the place where he was staying with his family on his own. He didn't tell his parents that he left, and so ever since he left, he had always been reluctant to pick up his phone, as he didn't want to confront his parents.
You can see on the phone booth that it writes "Nevermind”.
Tumblr media
NEVERMIND could be referring to Namjoon reflecting upon his past actions and decisions. The conflict within him deciding whether to pick up the phone call or not, yet every time he decides, Nevermind.

Update~
So many of you (especially if you used to follow me on twitter) may know that I have recently left twitter. This leave is not temporary, but permanent. I will not be going back to twitter in the future, and the only social media platform I will be active on will most likely only be Tumblr. This doesn’t mean that I’m not an ARMY anymore, but it just means I no longer wish to be a part of stan twitter, neither do I wish to interact with ARMYs there as much as I have for the past 2 years. I will continue to support BTS from a distance, but I’ve learned that being a part of stan twitter has slowly began to deteriorate my health over the years that I’ve been active there, which is why I have recently decided to take actions towards slowly distancing myself from stan twitter, as well as starting to focus on myself in real life.
I will probably still be making theories in the future for any new MV or BU content BTS releases, so nothing much will change as for my presence here on Tumblr :3

My Animal Crossing Progress :3
This isn’t theory related, but I thought I’d share with you all my Animal Crossing New Horizons building progress as I go on my journey to turn my house into a BTS museum! My House is Koya themed, and inside as I upgrade my house, I will turn each room into a different BTS themed room!
I just got the game 2 days ago, and this is my progress so far :3
This is what the exterior of my house looks like (I’m planning on changing the roof color to a light blue after I finish paying off my current debts for my previous house expansion):
Tumblr media
I built a bonsai garden (I’m trying to find more bonsai plants in ACNH but idk if they have anymore tho):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s a cute cherry blossom Picnic thing I made with an outdoor bath on the side next to my bonsai garden:
Tumblr media
Now to the inside of my house~
I’m still working on the main room, but so far I just have blue walls and blue flooring and two connected landscape pictures of BTS (left is LY Her and right is MOTS World Tour):
Tumblr media
Then my second room I have this sort of BTS discography room, with some of my favorite BTS albums (I’m still working on this room). The blackboard is supposed to be like a battle of the BTS albums hehe:
Tumblr media
As I continue my journey in ACNH, I’ll continue to try and pay off my debts and expand my house more asap. Apparently you can expand to up to 6 rooms, so I’m going to try and do that.
Anyways I hope you enjoyed my mini ACNH house tour, I’ll continue to update y’all on my house as I continue playing the game :3

BTS 'Black Swan' Official MV (Theory Analysis)
First, let's talk about the parallels between Black Swan MV and the movie "Black Swan"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alright, now let's move on to the analysis. At the beginning, we see that this MV is set in a theater and pretty much the only source of light are the theater spotlights. In one of the scenes, we see Yoongi rapping on stage, with a spotlight shining on him. Interestingly enough, the light actually casts TWO shadows. One is Yoongi's physical shadow, and the other is his psychological shadow. The psychological shadow is the source of BTS' doubts and fears. We see that the psychological shadow is projected two times larger than the physical shadow and that the shadow is dancing by itself. This portrays how BTS has lost control of their shadow and how the shadow is in turn manipulating them and causing them to slowly drown in their deepest fears and insecurities. The theater setting may also be a reference to Phantom of the Opera, as in the Phantom essentially lured and manipulated the main female protagonist, Christine, to help him. She’s like the persona on the stage (nina from black swan), while the phantom is the one source that was controlling christine (aka her shadow).
Having one single spotlight shine on the boys may also portray how when BTS is shining at their brightest, they happen to feel isolated and fearful of losing their passion for their music and career.
Tumblr media
Just like how Yoongi sang in MOTS Shadow Interlude, “The moment I face myself brought lowest, It so happens that I’m flying the highest”.
Now, let's talk about the painting we see behind the boys while they're performing on stage. This painting is actually a theater curtain!
Tumblr media
The theater curtain is titled the "1931 Act Curtain".
The description of the curtain states that "The elaborate act curtain was said to be one of the most expensive commissioned in its time, depicting Louis XIV, his wife, his mistress, as well as the French Army and Navy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is constructed in silk with a three-dimensional effect such that the figures and animals actually stand out from the curtain by a few inches to give them depth. The main figures have real wigs, the hair gently billowing as the curtain moves up or down”. Though this theater curtain may have originally been installed within the theater simply for decoration purposes, in terms of the Black Swan MV analysis, I believe we can see the curtain painting as a representation of the Persona.
As most of you may already know, REAL wigs are relatively quite expensive, as it is made from real hair, rather than synthetic material. Usually only the rich or royalty can afford such luxuries, especially in the early 1900s. So following the idea of the painting depicting "Louis XIV, his wife, his mistress, as well as the French Army and Navy", it is evident how "the main figures have real wigs, the hair gently billowing as the curtain moves up or down". Especially with the idea of "the hair gently billowing as the curtain moves up or down" and the curtain painting being "constructed in silk with a three-dimensional effect such that the figures and animals actually stand out from the curtain by a few inches to give them depth". This signifies the artists' attempt at making something that's one dimensional look 3D.
The idea of putting on a mask before the show begins, especially with the depiction of the painting and the fact that it is AN ACTUAL theater curtain, comes to further emphasize the idea of putting on a persona and covering up your Shadow before putting on a show for everyone to see.
Now, the following scene intrigues me, as we see multiple scratches on the black wooden floor that the boys are performing on, in the dark under one single spotlight. Though the scratches may simply indicate that BTS had been practicing a lot on the stage, the scratches also reminded me of this scene from WINGS Short Film: AWAKE.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Scratches on surfaces usually indicates that someone is very anxious. In this case, Jin may have been really anxious to leave or perhaps escape the room he was in, in the short film. Similarly in Black Swan MV, the scratches may be referring to how BTS is very anxious to escape their Shadow that's haunting them. Perhaps they're vigorously and constantly dancing in an attempt to find liberation from the darkness and their ever growing Shadows.
Tumblr media
But speaking of AWAKE, besides the scratches, there's actually also various other scenes that shares similarities to the Black Swan MV. Furthermore, WINGS era actually shares many similarities with both the Black Swan MV and Movie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again, we see this parallel between Black Swan MV and BS&T in this scene at the grand staircase of the theater (BTW the theater that BTS filmed at for the MV was the Los Angeles Theater):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you would like to gain deeper insight and understanding as to how Black Swan and BS&T are connected, please refer to my previous theory on “Why BTS Dies Twice (1st in BS&T, 2nd in Black Swan) In Order to Be Reborn to Ego”
Anyways, the boys continue to dance within the darkness throughout the rest of the MV. At the very end however, we see Jungkook sitting by the edge of the railways of the theater. He turns around to see his enlarged shadow on the curtain.
Tumblr media
However, as soon as he turns around, the shadow subsides and disappears back down, seemingly hiding back into where it belongs, in the dark. After the shadow disappears, Jungkook gets up and walks away.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This may be illustrating how "Black Swan" more or less, is a depiction of BTS' occasional fears and insecurities. As, with the fact that Jungkook is able to walk away from his shadow in the end, means that the Shadow isn't always present and haunting them. By the end of the day, the boys' insecurities of the possibility of losing passion for their music and career, and various other sorts of fears ultimately subsides. Their shadow may always continue to exist, but they are able to face their Shadows head on because they continue to have one another and believe in themselves, hoping that the future will, despite filled with various obstacles and challenges, ultimately lead them to a better place.

Why Hoseok is Actually the Evil One in 'ON' & EGO MVs (BTS Theory)
So, a lot of people were speculating recently that Hoseok might have traveled back in time from Ego to 'ON', due to the fact that he was driving backward instead of forwards in Ego MV, and that he's the only one wearing modern clothing in 'ON' MV.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But what if Hoseok didn't actually travel back in time? But much rather, he fooled everyone else to believe that they were living in another time and space.... like the Matrix, the Hunger Games, Maze Runner, or Divergent?
If you have already watched the 'ON' MV, you know that there were several references to the movies the Maze Runner, Divergent, and Hunger Games made throughout the MV.
Tumblr media
Now, there are several things that all 3 of these movies have in common with one another:
1. They're all set in a dystopian society
2. There is a character that is originally at the beginning, thought of as a protagonist, but ultimately turns out to be the antagonist
3. The main characters have to go through a type of game or series of trials to escape a simulation
Now, the most distinctive reference we've seen in 'ON' are references to the Maze Runner. The whole premise of the Maze Runner is that, the people stuck in the Maze didn't actually know they were stuck in a maze at the beginning of the movie.
Tumblr media
The same goes for Divergent. The whole premise of Divergent is that the main characters didn't know they were living in a simulation at the very beginning of the MV. It wasn't until they found something unusual (like in Maze Runner how the characters found the exits of the maze, or how Beatrice discovered that she's actually a Divergent) that they began to recognize that they were stuck in a simulation... like the Matrix.
Tumblr media
Now, let's go back to what I mentioned in the beginning, how Hoseok is the only one wearing modern clothing in 'ON', while everyone else is wearing medieval-style clothing.
Tumblr media
So my theory is... What if everyone else besides Hoseok, didn't know that they were actually stuck in a maze (a simulation), and Hoseok is the one who deliberately trapped the boys in the maze... because he knew that whatever was outside of the maze was not going to be pleasant?
Let me explain:
From BTS' M Countdown Stage for 'ON' the other day, we saw a VCR before the performance, in which there was a scene where Hoseok seemed to be glitching, with rows of numbers in the back, just like the Matrix.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in the matrix, humans are actually automatically connected to the matrix at birth by robots who have taken over the world and are growing humans as energy sources. Now, the thing about the Matrix is that the main protagonist is given the choice to choose between a red pill and a blue pill. If you take the blue pill, you stay in the Matrix, a virtual reality simulation world, while the red pill forces you to face the cruel reality.
Tumblr media
Now, the Matrix on a level connects to Ego MV. A while ago, I speculated that Hoseok is actually living in a simulation that is Ego city, a city built just for him, where he can be who he wants to be (Persona, since Ego is an extension of Persona), instead of having to face the cruel truth (his shadow) that comes with taking the red pill?
Tumblr media
The red pill. Remember Red Bullet Tour? Remember how Seokjin was holding a bottle of red pills in BTS BEGIN concept photos? And how each of the boys took the red pill in N.O. MV (Which is the reverse of ON)?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
NO is also the opposite of ON.
And what is the opposite of the Red pill?
Exactly, the Blue pill.
So what did Hoseok do? He took the blue pill, but the blue pill came with a price, & that price was ignorance (becoming consumed by the shadow) and his friends' sufferings.
Tumblr media
But when exactly might he have gotten the blue pill and plotted this scheme secretly behind his friends back, like how Jin backstabbed his friends in HYYH?
Boy Meets Evil.
Tumblr media
This was when Hoseok turned to the dark side... like how Anakin turned into Darth Vader by turning to the dark side.
Remember how one of Hoseok's performance outfit looked like it was an outfit straight out of Star Wars? And the Darth Star Galaxy LED Scene during Inkigayo? Yup.
Tumblr media
The Dark Side = Shadow.
When Hoseok met evil (Boy Meets Evil), he joined the dark side. It's why his shadow turned into the wings of a devil. Just like how Anakin turned into Darth Vader, Hoseok became one with the Shadow.
"The Shadow Like Me" on Taehyung's cheeks, along with the crack-like tattoo on his necks, shows how he too, is turning to the dark side, like Hoseok. When you become consumed by the dark side, by your shadow, you begin to associate yourself with the shadow. And you begin to see that the shadow is just like you... because you and your shadow have become one.
Tumblr media
The reason why Taehyung began turning to the dark side as well, is because of Hoseok. Everyone else as well, in ON, was being affected by Hoseok's decision to turn to the dark side.
Now, we know that Hoseok took the blue pill because he didn't want to face his shadow and all he wanted to do was stay in the Matrix, where he could be live in his Persona and become ignorant of his Shadow. However, little did he know that doing so caused his shadow to take over.
So, what happens after he turns to the dark side?
He plays nice guy, like President Coin from Hunger Games.
He pretends like he is a part of the gang with his friends, and he pretended like he is also a victim in the maze and of the Shadow, even though he was actually the Shadow himself. He was the one manipulating all of the boys.
Hoseok was driving BACK into the maze, hence why he was driving backward instead of forwards on the freeway.
He was driving back into the maze, so that he can play victim, while in reality, manipulating the boys.
Tumblr media
This is also why he didn't even think to help save Jungkook in 'ON' MV after Jungkook passed out. All he did was just stand on the side, pretending like Jungkook isn't on the ground.
He did it on purpose.
Tumblr media
Remember this scene from Ego MV? Yup, it's a reference to the Maze Runner: Scorching Trails. The desert, the chipped and falling letters...
Tumblr media
Outside of his perfect ego city, is still a land of ruins. He may be able to fool himself by staying in Ego City (AKA the Matrix), but the truth is, everything, in reality, is falling apart, and his friends are getting hurt. But he chooses to ignore that because he is blinded by his Ego and his Shadow.
Tumblr media
It also makes sense why there is a car in Jimin's scene in 'ON' MV. Hoseok never traveled back in time. The boys are just stuck in a maze, believing that they are living in a different time and space. A simulation.

BTS ‘ON’ Official MV Theory Analysis
In the first scene, we see a battlefield of dead bodies and flags. This scene can refer to any battle or war in general. War is usually fought to gain independence and justice for one's country/homeland. In this case, battle represents death.
Tumblr media
Like I said, fighting for justice and independence. Jin in the following scene is shown holding a dove with an arrow struck through it's body. This is similar to Jin in Fake Love, when he was holding the lantern filled with lily petals that turned to dust.
Tumblr media
"Nothing gold can stay" - Robert Frost I believe this is BTS' way of saying, to really achieve higher goals or get to where they are now, they had to fight a really long time (like 100 years war), even if this meant sacrificing parts of themselves, their happiness. Nothing stays forever, nothing gold can stay. Happiness doesn't last forever. They must experience pain and misery in order to be reborn. You must die in order to be reborn into a better place and a more enhanced stage in life.
Tumblr media
In the next scene, we see Jungkook running away from something or somewhere. His hands are bound by black thorns. The first thing that came into my mind was slavery. Slaves such as Harriet Tubman, when trying to escape from their slave owners had to risk their life in hopes of escaping to a new and better place. Escaping from slavery is not an easy task. In this case, you can imagine Jungkook as a slave, and his slave owner is his shadow. The thorns that bound his hands can also be a reference to Jesus' crown of thorns. Jesus sacrifice himself for the greater good of the people. After his crucifixion, he would eventually be reborn on Easter.
Tumblr media
 Come Prima = Like before
Death and Rebirth, again like before.
We see that Jungkook finally escaped out of the maze (maze runner) that's trapped all the boys in for so long. To put this scene as one of the first scenes of the MV, is to show the audience a preview of the ending when BTS finally escapes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next scene is a reference to Make It Right. The little blonde-haired girl represents ARMYs, and the boy represents BTS, as most of you may already know. However, the girl is wearing a blindfold. A reference to the movie Bird Box, signifying how BTS tries to protect us from the bad and the ugly of their journey. They only want to show us their best, and they only want to show us the beauty of the world. In Bird Box, the blindfold protects the main protagonists from a force that threatens their lives.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next scene is a reference to Noah's Ark! Again, the idea of risking one's self in order to save the greater good. You may think BTS is noah, but I feel like BTS more or less represents the ship. The reason why BTS existed in the first place was because there was a reason for their existence and we are the reason. For Noah, he was given instructions from God and instructed to build a ship to save not only his family but also all the animals. BTS is the ship that carries us all. The ship in the MV seems deteriorated and filled with flaws, but with everyone, and all the members together, the ship will be fixed and complete.
Tumblr media
In the next scene, Jin is holding the cage with the dead dove inside. But if you paid attention, you'll notice that the cage actually ended up moving a bit. This is signifying the rebirth of the dove. And also, why are there so many cages? Well, reason possibly being that BTS has tried many MANY times to free the dove successfully (escape successfully to freedom and independence), but failed, symbolizing how throughout their entire career, they've had to fail many times in order to get to where they are today.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyways, in the next scene, we see Jungkook fainting from running. Though Map of the Soul: 7 is not a part of BU, it still reminded me of this scene in BS&T where Jungkook threw up then fainted in the restroom:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
All the trees are dead and Jungkook is lying on the floor with a black crow pecking at him.
Black Crow/Raven = Death
BTS is in the process of dying to be reborn.
Tumblr media
Ok next scene is this scene, which feels like some type of Yoongi cult (lmao),  but also reminded me of Handmaid's Tale (which idk if anyone thought of that). Again, the idea of being oppressed and confined in a controlled society. Controlled by Shadow.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SHE MAY BE BLIND BUT SHE CAN SEEEE
She is ARMY, ARMY may be protected by BTS, but we were always there, looking straight across towards the goal. We knew there was a way out, it was always there. We guide BTS towards their goal. The door is right there.
Tumblr media
As Taehyung takes the blindfold off of the little girl, the door begins to open. This is BTS trusting us and unveiling their struggles and shadow side to us, believing that through this process, we will gain a better understanding of them, and together, this will help push and lead us towards a better future, together. Together, we are one, and we will be stronger than ever. Hit us with whatever you have, however many bullets you got. We don't care anymore, we will face whatever the future holds head ON.

It's also important to note that, one of the reasons the main protagonists in Maze Runner never tried to escape from the maze at the beginning of the story, was because they didn't know what lied ahead outside of the maze, and they didn't want to know because they're afraid. Now we are united as one. You see how Jin also brought the dove that he thought was once dead, but now revived with him. As they all gathered together, the dove was finally released and free. We are finally free.

Anddd now a reference to Lord of the Flies! In Lord of the Flies, "the conch represents civil discourse on the island, and only works as long as the boys all believe in its power and the necessity of the idea it symbolizes". The conch is a fragile and vulnerable object, which is the reason why the characters in Lord of the Flies would take such good care of the conch.
Tumblr media
When Jungkook blows the conch, he is calling out to the rest of his members in order to alert them, which is what Ralph, one of the main protagonists of Lord of the Flies did, to alert his friends.

But what is Jungkook trying to alert his friends of?
The incoming explosion. The Shadow is coming, it's chasing after them. (Just like Pompeii)
Tumblr media
This scene represents BTS getting ready to go head-on with their shadow. They're ready to fight for their freedom and independence.

The next scene shows Jungkook holding the conch, wearing a dark velvet red robe along with the rest of his members, just like how they did in Fake Love.
ON is the reverse of N.O.
NO = being trapped to conform
ON = liberation from being confined

In fake love, the boys were running away from their fears, but this time, they're facing their fears head-on. They're no longer afraid of their shadows because they have ARMYs. Instead of keeping their fears to themselves, they're now sharing it with us.
The fireballs from the volcano that blasts out can be seen as bullets. They are no longer afraid of whatever comes, no matter how many bullets that comes at us. We are bulletproof eternal, hence "We are Bulletproof: The Eternal".
Tumblr media
After they've learned to face their fears and shadow head on, everything that was once dead now revives and is reborn. The trees that were once dead is now growing again, and the boys finally escape the maze they were once trapped in.

Now finally, we have the Lion King reference.
Circle of Life = Reincarnation
"What goes around comes around". Come Prima.
Just like before, they die then are reborn again.

Each white dove you see in this scene represents a member of BTS. The members continue to walk towards the top of the cliff. And in the next scene, we see Jungkook run straight towards the top of the cliff, smiling.

Again, though Map of the Soul: 7 is not a part of BU, i found a nice and interesting parallel between this scene in the MV and Prologue:
Tumblr media
Jungkook runs towards the future, along with the rest of the members walking towards the future behind him, knowing that better and much greater things lie ahead. No longer are they afraid of what the future holds. They know, the future holds amazing things for us.
HYYH The Notes, Map of the Soul: 7
2 August, Year 22 - Yoongi
"If we are together, we can smile"

In the end, we can see that BTS are actually Divergents (referring to the book and movie “Divergent”) and that's why they're walking away. In No More Dream era, they were stuck without a dream, they were being confined into the different factions that society told them they should be put in.
Now they have a dream.
